Pls note that the first activity where you get a chance to get promoted on next cycle is 14*55=770

Why?

Legendary requires 775. So theoretically with 775-14=761 you'd already have a chance.

Note that the activity has not to be divisible by 14. The activity is min(posts, time*14).
If your theoretical activity would be higher (e.g. 1000+), but you'd have 761 posts, your activity would be 761.

By the way, it is still slightly off

Quote
luck numerator=rounddown((activity-770)/14,0)+1
 luck denominator= rounddown((1030-770)/14,0)
luck=1/(luckdenominator-lucknumerator+1)

Take me (activity 938) for example, my probability is roughly 1/7 (14.3 %). But based on your formula, i get:

luck numerator = 13
luck denominator = 18
luck = 1/6

The correct formula is:
Code:
luck = 14 / (1030-activity)

Quite sad that it took us multiple posts and (way too much) thinking to find that (extremely easy) formula  Grin Grin

Edit: to be more precise regarding the script:

Code:
#call getLuck when activity > 760

def getLuck(activity):
    luck = 14 / ( 1030 - activity)
    if luck > 1:
        luck = 1
    return luck

You know you could just take a full page screenshot next time. There are even extensions to help you do it.

The kind of person that prints a webpage as PDF and converts to image is not the kind of technically advanced person I would even expect to perform any kind of quality "investigation".

Excuse me?

I don't install (potentially shady) extensions. Especially not at work.

Why should i install such an extension if i can do this with a one-liner on the command line?
I don't need pointy-clicky for that.

I am faster at typing one line than checking the reputation of a pointless extension while still having doubts with it being closed source.

PS: I already took a full page screenshot of the website and uploaded it for you and your buddies here. Surprising I would actually help people "investigate" my team if I knew it was a scam. Perhaps, just maybe, your buddy ICO(NO)Ethics and his bruised ego are pursuing this in bad faith and instead of doing your own due diligence you are a sheep blindly following a dumb shepherd.

I have read the thread, came across 'can not archive' and posted a screenshot.
This definitely means all of them are my buddies.

And in 10 minutes we go to lunch together and start making fun of you.  Roll Eyes

Was war das denn für ein Drama mit Lauda? Das ist irgendwie an mir vorbeigegangen.

Konnte auf die schnelle auch keinen ordentlichen Thread dazu finden. Hat jemand eine Quelle für mich ?
2705  Other / Meta / Re: script for check requirements for next rank on: June 28, 2019, 07:20:29 AM
Sorry,
As per the formula the number should indicate the probability to be ranked up on next activity cycle.
So, basically in 14 days or less you’ll be legendary in the 66% of cases.
Check again the formula....

This can't be the case.
The activity where i rank up is a random number between 938 and  (including) 1030.

Activity increases by 14 each cycle. This means there are 7 more cycles in which i could get legendary.
The chance for me to get legendary in the next cycle therefore is 1/7 = 14%. The next cycle the chance would be 1/6 = 17%.

Based on your statement i should be legendary in 3 cycles.
But that can not be said if there are 7 more cycles to come.

I'd have a 50% chance to get an uprank in the next '3.5' cycles.

What your formula does, is to calculate the chance of getting legendary within 775 and X activity (in the quoted calculation above: between 775 and 938).
2706  Economy / Reputation / Re: DireWolfM14's Trust Setting and Tag Review on: June 28, 2019, 06:51:49 AM
Separately, you should remove bob123 from your trust list. He is a scammer based on information he personally stipulated to, such as posting a telegram chat in which he said he would buy an account if he received a PM from the account that was being sold, and subsequently did not buy said account.

Scammer because of rescinding from a trade?  Roll Eyes

He also admitted to intentionally causing financial harm to someone after obtaining information under what can only be described as false pretenses.

Where did i admit that?  Grin

If you were selling something such as alcohol or guns or something else some people do not like being sold, while following all relevant laws, and someone stole from you, I think you would be rightfully upset if the police had a confession from the thief, but declined pursue the matter -- you would probably be calling for the resignation or firing of the police chief.

Please.. please tell me.. what did i steal?

Oh... now i understand.
I wanted to buy alcohol or guns and rescinded from it. Then afterwards i posted publicly that this specific alcohol/gun is low quality / from country X / made of plastic / basically any non-confidential information.

I see.. i stole... the possibility from the seller to scam people with worthless goods.

How many more threads do you want with this topic ?  Aren't 3 already enough? Do we need 4 ?

2 "schmutzige" UTXOs (A und B; jeweils 1 BTC)
1 "sauberer" UTXO (C; 1 BTC)

Transaktion:
Code:
   A      B      C            K        L         M        N         O
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1 BTC + 1 BTC + 1 BTC  -->  0.5BTC + 0.5 BTC + 0.5 BTC + 0.7 BTC + 0.8 BTC

I denke du solltest deine Argumentationslogik etwas überarbeiten.

2708  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Offline Armory Installation Question on PureOS on: June 28, 2019, 06:13:07 AM
Generally it is recommended to use apt-get if you already using that for package management.

Mixing installation with apt-get and dpkg makes it harder later on to uninstall packages again. Or at least more work.

But since this machine is used for offline storage only, that shouldn't be a problem at all.

When installing Armory updates in the future - do I just run 'sudo dpkg -i' on the new armory.deb file? Do I then need to remove the old version or anything?

You can simply install it using dpkg or apt-get.
You don't need to remove/uninstall anything before doing so.

this is the output for bob123

luck 66%

This number says how probable it is to get legendary within 775 and X activity.
But it does not say how probable it is to get an rank up with the next update, which would be a bit more useful i think.

But regardless of that, nice work.

So, SaltySpitoon..

you left a negative trust rating to "pikacha15" for "attempting to sell fake items".

Selling fake items is not illegal. And you did financial damage to him by interfering into his business.

Based on your logic, you are a scammer and should deserve a flag.

Party A was intentionally financially damaged by Party B. - Scam
2714  Other / Meta / Re: Trust flags on: June 26, 2019, 09:19:59 PM
I believe the elements of a contract were met, including acceptance of said contract  [...]  and there was clearly financial damages. This meets the criteria for supporting the flag.

No, it doesn't.

The financial damage has to occur because of breaking an agreement.

This is clearly not the case.

What is the agreement in your eyes? Please enlighten me.

Additionally, sharing publicly available information (usernames) is no financial damage. And that's all i did.

2715  Other / Meta / Re: Trust flags on: June 26, 2019, 07:41:14 PM
It appears that xtraelv, suchmoon, LFC_Bitcoin, marlboroza are all abusing their positions in opposing flag #292 that is clearly valid based solely on evidence admitted to by the accused.

All of the above should be blacklisted from DT1/2

 Grin Grin Grin

Oh quicksy.. how many threads do you want to spam with this?

For once and all, the flag says:
Quote
SeW900 alleges: bob123 violated a casual or implied agreement, resulting in damages [...]

I don't want to start arguing whether we had an agreement or not.
I also don't want to start arguing again whether the account seller got damage.

I have answered that in the 2 other threads already.

But.. IF i violated an agreement and IF the account seller got monetary damage because i tagged his accounts as untrustworthy:

The 'damage' has not been done because of violation.

Based on this (which is enough already), and the fact that 'damage' and 'violation of agreement' can't bee seen as such.. the flag absolutely is inappropriate.

2716  Economy / Reputation / Re: Flagging accounts which are up to sale [DT member actions needed] on: June 26, 2019, 07:32:44 PM
It is trivial to fake an IP address...you don’t even need to use a VPN. There are services that will allow you to have what appears to be a residential IP address of a distinct location.

You don't say  Roll Eyes

But based on the fact that most accounts offered by the shady person (a.k.a. account seller) only have english posts and this account additionally is active in the german sub, it is very well imaginable that the account got hacked.

We can't be absolutely sure. But if the IP log shows a login from a completely different IP / country while trying to sell this account, it is very probable that it got hacked.
Therefore i will change my neg trust rating to a neutral one if a trustworthy member of this forum confirms the IP log shown.
2717  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Flagging user broke an agreement and leaking confidential information on: June 26, 2019, 07:24:31 PM
2) You made the thread in question in order to expose the accounts knowing that it'd decrease their value from the asking price to nothing. You've posted the intent yourself. It is absolutely undeniable that as a direct cause of your actions, the OP lost money. Hence, the flag is appropriate.

The reason was to inform the public about untrustworthy accounts.

Their value was close to nothing. If the owner didn't put any effort into an account and just bought it, the value of the account is close to nothing.
No decrease of value. And OP didn't lose any money.

By 'direct cause of your actions'.. what are you referring to? Publicly posting non-private information ? This does NOT fall under the category of 'breaking an agreement'
And this alone is enough to proof that the flag is inappropriate.

Bob purposefully deceived OP for the sake of harming their business as is admitted.

The reason was not to do any harm. It was to protect people from these accounts.

Again, I refer to the screen shots where you two discussed the risks of exposing the information. If I do business with you, its expected that our addresses are confidential. It is expected that you won't share any personal information we provide each other for grins. Not only were you aware that sharing the personal information was damaging, but that was your goal.

Addresses are confidential information.
Your username.. is not. No publicly viewable username counts to confidential information.

And again.. the goal was to protect others. No damage has been done. And especially not by 'breaking an agreement' (which again.. is required for a flag).

If the accounts were worth $280 and now $5, you did $275 in damages. If you go into a Lamborghini dealership and crash a $500k Lamborghini, you don't get to say that the car is overpriced, therefore instead of $300k in damages, you only did $20. There is proof that you negotiated a price with the OP, you acknowledged the value of the accounts, and you were completely aware of what would happen to the value of the accounts when you posted your thread.

I never acknowledged the value. As you said.. i didn't plan to buy them.

To speak in your language:
I didn't 'crash the lamborghini'. What i did was rescinding from an 'agreement' and informed everyone about the color of the leather seats.
Just because pink leather is not very popular among people, this doesn't mean i did any damage.

Fine, you didn't delete the accounts from existed, you just drew all over them with sharpie. Now they are in the discount bin, and the window company is out $X.

Again, no. I shared non-confidential information.

You are quite literally a scammer my friend.

Your definition of a scammer is way off  Roll Eyes

I'd also like to remind you (SaltySpitoon) of the following:

1)
Short summary why this flag absolutely is inappropriate:

Creating a flag requires ALL of the following:
  • 1) Must have violated an agreement
  • 2) The violation must result in damage
  • 3) Must be created by the user who has been damaged

1) The terms of the 'agreement' were 'money for account'. Without an account being handed over, no payment is due. Therefore there was no violation at all. Neither any damage.

2) Rescinding from a trade is not a violation. And the resignation did not result in any damage (both would be absolutely necessary for a flag to be appropriate).

3) It must be created by @TrustedAccSeller. OP (which is his friend, according to him) is the wrong person to create it.

Since all of the 3 points are necessary for the flag to be appropriate, and none of them is actually the case, that's more than enough to comprehend that the flag is inappropriate.

and

2)

Creating or supporting a scammer flag is actively affirming a set of pretty clear fact-statements. If someone knowingly supports a flag containing incorrect fact-statements, then that is crystal-clear abuse, and I will seek to have such people removed from DT ASAP. People who are habitually wrong, even not knowingly, should also be removed.
2718  Economy / Reputation / Re: Flagging accounts which are up to sale [DT member actions needed] on: June 26, 2019, 06:51:11 PM
As I said, that proves nothing because of VPNs. I could do whatever you or anybody else here wants, there will always be somebody saying: "But this is still no evidence, do this and do that!" This will be a
never ending story. I'm the real zackie and this account is not for sale. Believe it or not, I don't care.
Have you checked https://bitcointalk.org/myips.php ? You have only 30 days to see the account thief's IP address.

Holy crap! Thanks for that link. Here is the result:

2719  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Flagging user broke an agreement and leaking confidential information on: June 26, 2019, 06:45:52 PM
The value of the accounts subsequently declined.

Not really.

Information which should be publicly available were made public. Nothing else has been done.

The account is still under possession of OP's friend and still has the same value (which is close to 0).
Just because OP's friend wanted to have an unrealistic high amount of money, this doesn't mean that he can't still demand that amount.

As a result of bobs misrepresentation, the OP was unable to offer the accounts to anyone else.

Why? Did i steal the account? No.
OP's friend (not OP) still has this account and still can sell it to anyone else.

There could not be a more clear cut case of someone backing out of an agreement and the person suffering damages. Those opposing the flag are protecting a scammer.

Oh Quicksy.. please explain how backing out of the agreement (lets call it agreement, just for you) lead to damage.

Hint: You can't.. because it didn't.

Me making public that the accounts aren't trustworthy (information which everyone should have access to) didn't even lead to any damage.
OP can still sell his accounts for any amount he wishes.

But the public deserves to know which accounts are to be trusted and which not.

I know.. you, as an extremely shady and account farming person, try everything you can to protect account seller and farmer.

But your opinion is simply wrong.
