Get 2 S3s and by the time the L1 ships you will have made enough from you S3s to buy one plus you'll have 2 S3s   Grin

Don't tie your BTC up for 3 months, put them to good use!

2722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DeltaMining ASIC Miners [Home-Friendly][NO pre-orders][Based in Canada] on: October 07, 2014, 01:12:14 AM
perhaps with rockminer and zuesminer teaming up now, it will open up DeltaMining to be able to build custom devices for both scrypt and SHA256

That would be nice .
2723  Other / Off-topic / Re: new law on per orders on: October 07, 2014, 01:07:44 AM
I saw in the news to day I don't how long its been in the works but if you buy some thing in the US there  may be a new law being sighed in soon that says any per orders after some many days that are not filled the money has to be refunded . wondering if that will stick to any no refund policy as well. I'm not asking about this not because of bitcoins in Gen some company in the US  do steal form there customers.

wonder how that will affect per orders for mining hard ware .

However, simply living on land that has the U.S. territorial borders as its borders, doesn't mean that you are living in the U.S.

Smiley

I live in the US in Maryland. I did see this on the news about the time the BFL  started up + some other company's off hand i can't remember who they were that have nothing to do with Bitcoins that are taking per orders with no return

i saw in the news i guess it starting  to be come a  big issue here in states . but as i said I don't know for sure can't  fine much more on it just saw it was being looked at . I hope so to if it is passed it will set how over sea company's  sell in the US .

You might want to call Bitmain at +1-844-248-6246 and talk to one of the live tech on the phone.  If you RMA the fan, you should be able to get the replacement.  Depends on where you are in the world, the tech or rep may offer you a small reimbersement.

Also, any Bitmain customers have option of returning the defective items to the following address without prior authorization. Must have Bitmaintech.com order confirmation page printed and included with a note what is wrong with the item. (If the item was not defective, you may get billed for the diagnostic fee or return shipping fee)

Bitmain Warranty
3700 Quebec St. #100239

Telephone: +1-844-248-6246

If you want to obtain the prior authorization from Bitmain, instead of PM them, send email to info@bitmaintech.com  and type "RMA Request - MODEL# - (COUNTRY NAME)" in the subject line with your Bitmaintech.com order ID number and the following info int he body of the email

one of my S3 fans totally died. 0 RPM. on the fan it says model number JDH1238B I had a 3 pin 2000 RPM fan but won't fit because pins are larger and 4 pin. Any advise for me to fix or buy? Send it back to China or cut the connector?

I would do what he says I just did  and just found this post but i also knew they had US support.

DO call them even if you bought a new one from a resellers not direct be nice and you may get it replaced no matter were  you bought it  with free shipping  as long as  it is  still with in  there 90 days and you can  prove were you bought it .

if you bought it direct they will replace it no question  asked i just had one replaced with free shipping otw to me once i dropped it off at UPS Smiley .

these guys are awesome i know I complained about the S4 but that was mostly the  price,
2727  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Antminer s3 - 5 of them - need input on: October 01, 2014, 11:33:42 PM
My farm will consist of 5x S3's.

What is your opinion of this? At around $0.11/kw/hr

Might pay a tab more  in power, other wise go for it  it should pay you back in a few month's  depending on how much the set up will cost you price per coin etc . .

I have two  S3 and 3 S1 gonna add two more  S3 and replace the S1 in time  then let it do it do its thing   but my power is only .919 per kw  i don't see a jump in power yet  and  may not till I  add the last two.

some may even try to tell you i pay more in power then i claim but if you want proof i will  give to you . just won't post it here. as he said go with it but be ready to replace those s 3  at  that time  frame . or add one 2 tH miner and go for there .

This might help you some

Will you guys keep mining even when your electricity is equal to the current exchange rate x rate at which BTC is mined? I think I am going to. I will gladly keep supporting the BTC network in the little way that I can while also hoping for an exchange rate jump in the future...

I look at old threads where people owned thousands of Bitcoins and wanted to sell them for less than $100......................................... I used to have some eGold back in the day (was rewarded it for something that I can't remember) .... if only I had some Bitcoin instead!

were do you live some of us don't have that electtricty problem well most in the US don't in fact some in the US have it better then others do .

Just wondering its not my indention to make you feel bad or put your down , just wonder were every one lives  when i see that about electricity. what i mean is it just field the complaint they make .

http://www.cnet.com/news/bitcoin-startup-circle-opens-to-the-public-around-the-world/

hey man only problem I had was the F2A no cell phone at least coinbase lets me use my Home phone , i see more and more every day i may just have to  break down  and get a smart Phone that's the old School in me . been tiring to avoid a cell phone for years. i wasn't kidding when i said I don't care for that stuff I don't i love the WEbb but some of it can be a bit extreme for  me  and found that dark place on the BiTcoin site to day I knew i would sooner later but these site are the  only one  of this kind and  all searches lead to bitcoin.com forums. "_ .  well any way once i get a smart phone in the next days i hope I'll keep using CB.

what would make this worth while is if it supports all scrypt not just one or two . because bitmians has  the L1 which will  put this to shame unless it supports it all which I'm hoping .

scrypt  x11 x13  etc . that is Smiley .

no dual mining I don't even bro with my 80 chip i leave it as scrypt .
2733  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Which PSU to power 3 antminer S3's with room to overclock? on: September 30, 2014, 10:00:08 PM
that depends on how much you want to spend etc but all ways if you  can go 750 or higher gold standard for three of those two 750 can power it  clock with NP .

I would use

2735  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - sell & buy hash rate cloud mining service / multipool on: September 30, 2014, 06:09:15 PM
I have an unpaid balance at WestHash....is there a mininmum prior to payout...been a few days now...I couldn't find  info in FAQ? Please advise, thanks.

its on nicehash  i think you want this ?.

When and under what conditions do I get paid?

Payments (payouts) are issued four times a day if your unpaid balance is greater than 0.04 BTC. Every fourth payment (once per day) is issued if balance is greater than 0.004 BTC. We will do payments for balances greater than 0.0001 BTC once every week. All balances from all algorithms are aggregated into a single payment.

Note: This is just an example and 24h average payouts might vary a lot in dependence of buyers orders value, but you can also check our long term payout statistics.

I couldn't find that on westhash either. if that's what you want same apply s on west as well as on nice Smiley .

OK thanks, the other issue is I am mining to another BTC address issued by DMD multipool, so I don't have control of manual payout, and the balance is less than .04....so probably just have to wait ....thanks for the input.

Cool so far i have got all my payments like they said i would , i wish thu i had some way it making them all 12 or 24 hour pay out . atm  my speeds are  a tad to low for the every four hour pay out .

this to

I am a provider - seller, how much will I earn?

You can estimate your earnings by looking a the 24h average payouts rate (see "24h Payouts" column at the home page) indicating the average payouts for the past 24h. If you are using, for example, 100 Mh/s Scrypt miner and the 24h Payouts are set at 0.5 BTC/GH/Day, your earnings per day (assuming the given average for the past day) would be 0.1 GH * 0.5 BTC/GH/Day = 0.05 BTC per on day (24h) of uninterrupted mining.

Note: This is just an example and 24h average payouts might vary a lot in dependence of buyers orders value, but you can also check our long term payout statistics.

I'm assuming your a seller ?.

This forum is the only Social Media interaction I have with people online. I made the decision early on in the "My Space" and "Facebook" days to live my life free from most mainstream social media, I don't have anything against it, although I do believe a "person" makes good decisions but a "group of people" can often make bad ones(group mentality). There are good sections of this forum and bad sections of this forum(IMHO). I'm very conservative and "anti-political correct" and I question everything in life - people, media, government and church and try to do unbiased factual research, not just what everyone else is thinking/saying/feeling without research, to reach my beliefs on those four subjects. I have traveled and lived all over the world when I was in the military and have experienced a lot of cultures, people and governments so I assume that's why I'm this way. My biggest problem from not using social media is learning what's "accepted" as normal by the "group mentality" that's currently evolved in a specific thread. I think I may come off as rude or biased most of the time online, I do believe and accept that everyone is entitled to their own opinions and views on life and I'm actually a very happy and free spirited person In everyday life, I just come off as a grouch online.

your fine I've lived in most of the world my self my dad was in the  service before he  died as far as i can remember i was over seas mostly in Germany .  but been all over the US with him and once i grew up on my own etc etc .  so excuse me when i say some thing i never mean what i say as a bad thing .

I very happy to  thu at times it may not seem that way ..

i don't care much for FB etc nor IRC i think its called i only use them because i have to from time to time .

I have non  about bitcoins  for years even tired it once back when it first started and we could  only  do it with CPUs  but then I saw no value in it. not even sure what got me to look into it this year around April  best thing in my life i ever did . I've  been disabled sense i was 18  worked till i couldn't any more at 45 .  I'm now 58 this keep me jumping more then any game does  and has more reward .

Slush stopped posting here some time ago. Until the beginning of this year newbies couldn't make posts in normal threads and the members that were posting were just asking the same questions over and over. It had got really bad so slush quit posting in this thread because he was just repeating himself over and over because no one would read past posts for answers. He added the webchat, a ticket system and Facebook for announcements. It sucks but this forum had got out of control. Slush is a highly intelligent person and to explain the same simple things over and over again when there is a knowledge base link on the pool page and plenty of pages in the forum they could review over became too overwhelming. Also, at the same time having clueless miners accusing him of crazy things because they don't understand how a score based pool works wasn't very productive for anyone. He was trying to write new pool software for the pool and create a Stand alone bitcoin wallet to help bring bitcoin to wider audience so he stopped posting here to create those things. You can still post with him in the Development and Technical threads, so he is still available and answers questions, just not the ones that he has answered 1,000's of times since 2011. He left this thread unlocked so we could communicate and help each other out.

Finally. Another intelligent post. This one should be read by all newbs, but it probably won't

I all ways look for this first and  as a last resort ask newbie question and only then if I'm totally annoyed after hours of  looking, even, then i hate to ask anything .

We are a dying breed. But look at it this way, if something as 'technical' (for want of a better word - because it's pretty bloody straightforward) as bitcoins gets so much noise just imagine what it would be like on the more mundane forums.. gaming ones spring to mind though I'm not a gamer so can't speak from experience.

PS Back after a year absence - that is to say mining in general - been on slush since day dot after solo mining was no longer an option and don't intend to change (though I might bugger off for several months at a time Wink  ) Great to be back!! cheers.

gaming what made me that way on those forums nothing but asses i play online games from time to time  excuse that one word but they are . this stuff is real to life on gaming forums it's a mess imo these forums they seem a lot nicer but i would still look for my self .
