2721  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is rocking are we nearing to the bull run? on: December 30, 2018, 08:29:55 PM
To my opinion we are still far away from bull run. Yes, we saw some price rise in the recent period but that didn't last long and soon price fell again. This is definetely not sign of a bull run. I think that situation like this on the market will continue for a while and there will be no major price changes. Also without new investors and bigger demand I don't think that price will recover so.soon. Let's wait and see what the new year will bring to us.
2722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 25,000 German Online Stores in Germany to Begin Accepting Crypto in 2019 on: December 30, 2018, 06:28:40 PM
This is a good news although it would be better and to my opinion bigger success if physical stores made such decision. For online stores this is kind of natural I would say. Anyway, I'm not so burdened if store where I'm buying goods is accepting Bitcoin or not because I'm using Bitcoin debit card and that makes my life lot more easier.
Still any such news is good for further promotion and acceptance of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general.
2723  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is undervalued, individuals building on it will lead to recovery on: December 30, 2018, 01:46:22 PM
It's hard to define if Bitcoin price is undervalued or overvalued because the price is defined by the market and supply and demand ratio. So, basicly Bitcoin has as big value as people are ready to pay for it at that very moment.
By now I learned not to pay much attention to such news and people who are not exactly experts for cryptocurrencies, this simply has no value for me and I don't think this is a relevant information.
2724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ECONOMIC ANALYSIS/RESEARCH POLL: How many ICOs have you participated? on: December 30, 2018, 08:02:18 AM
I invested only in one ICO and that was morw then enough for me. Some think this is the good way to make profit but I don't think so. There are too many of them and it's hard to estimate which one is legit or not because of too many scams.
The risk is too big, not just because of potential scam but because you can't never be sure if coin will be listed on exchange or not and how this is going to end. Thaf is why I avoid ICOs.
2725  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New to crypto trading - Is now the time to get in? on: December 29, 2018, 07:31:15 PM
To my opinion now it's the good time to get into trading. The price is rather low and there are big and fast fluctuations so for some trading newbie it's an opportunity to slowly get into world of crypto.
Current situation will not last forever and I expect for price to rise again, maybe even up to 10000$ next year, who knows. But this might take a time and by then this is good moment to buy some coins and get prepared for the future.
2726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does Bitcoin seem to always rally in December? on: December 29, 2018, 12:16:48 PM
This is obviously not true because this December shows totaly different situation. That small price rise that we had after cointinuous price fall can't be called rally. It was just slight positive correction that didn't last for long.
After all this time that I'm dealing with Bitcoin and that is for five years by now I can't say that there is any prooven connection between Bitcoin price and some periods or months in year, there are always different factors that influence the price.
2727  Economy / Economics / Re: Will crypto solve socioeconomic problems? on: December 29, 2018, 08:10:34 AM
Cryptocurrencies don't have some magic power to solve the problems. In.order for them to have any fornal impact on economy and society they should be formaly implemented into economy and monetary system, so recgonized as money, and that means regulation in every way. But even in that case it's not clear how big impact crypto might have.
At the moment I think that cryptocurrencies have impact on individual level because they helped some individuals, including me, to improve their financial situation as an additional income source.
2728  Economy / Speculation / Re: As 2018 winds down, what is your opinion about bitcoin for 2019? on: December 28, 2018, 10:48:18 PM
If the ETF decision is positive in 2 months from now, I expect great things in the short term.
If the decision about the ETF is negative again (rejected), I think 2019 will be just a transitional year with no spectacular rise of price.

However, however I expect good things when the next halving comes.

Well, I think that expectations from ETF are exaggerated. Even if the decision will be positive that will not affect Bitcoin that much, at least not significantly and not at the long term. Effect might be only instant and positive ETF decision will not change the world.
Having in mind current experience I don't expect too much from 2019. The price will recover but this will be the process that will happen gradualy and it might take a will until we see 10000$ again. Because that would mean recovery for me and ETF will not help that happen.
2729  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to make money with bitcoin price dropping? on: December 28, 2018, 08:01:34 PM
I think that current situation on the market is the best for day trading or short term trading anyway. Yes, the price is declining but not all the time, it's also going up in certain moments and that should be used to make a profit. But that is not easy because it requests a lot of time, you have to be present on the market all the time and be prepared to act fast when necessary. So I think this is a situation for experienced traders. I always say that it's not hard to make the money when the market is green and price is rising but in situations like now only the best expert traders could make the money.
2730  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price go to 1 BTC = 1 oz gold again? on: December 28, 2018, 12:55:57 PM
I don't think this will happen. No matter the current situation Bitcoin price will not drop that much and gold will not rise that much either
In general I don't like these Bitcoin and gold comparisons because I don't think they have much in common and Bitcoin investors are usualy not gold investors at the same time and not the same rules are valid for gold and cryptocurrencies market.
2731  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin stolen. Electrum exploit / phishing on: December 28, 2018, 08:42:23 AM
Unfortunately such attacks are very common and you can't be careful enoug so it's good to use every possible protection you can implement. Hackers are very active and will always misuse any vulnerability they find.
In this case they've taken really nice sum of Bitcoin and there is nothing that could be done about it.
2732  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Do You Expect From The Market in 2019? on: December 27, 2018, 12:59:07 PM
From many years spent with Bitcoin I learned not to expect too much and how market can change very quickly.
Still I hope to see some price recovery but this will probably happen very gradualy. Even if it doesn't I will not be much disappointed and I will adjust to the situation. I will make some very realistic plan with moderate goals and I don't expect too big profit.
2733  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I still get wealthy through Bitcoin? on: December 27, 2018, 09:14:06 AM
Now isn't the best time to get rich with Bitcoin. But if you ask me that isn't that easy anyway, even in much better conditions on the market and only few managed to make such big profit so that they can call themselves wealthy.
I think that the problem is that people have too big expectations and want to much in too short period of time. There is still possibility to make nice profit but you need to make your own strategy and set up clear goals that are achievable. Still I wouldn't count on getting rich.
2734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If most politicians know nothing about Bitcoin then how will they regulate it? on: December 26, 2018, 07:20:18 PM
Politicians know nothing of Facebook and Google, how the hell do you expect these old people to correctly understand something extremely modern when they we're children there was literally nothing close to a computer or internet. It's not an easy thing for them so they believe rumors and wives tales.

I wouldn't say they don't know anything. It's very limited knowledge, that is true, but they are aware of new technologies and social networks in the range that is necessary for their own promotion. Similar is with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. And if they had the mandate to decide on Bitcoin regulation that would also be according to their personal interest, at least that is my opinion.
At the moment politics and politicians are not so interested in Bitcoin because they don't see either threath or gain for themselves.
2735  Economy / Speculation / Re: December 2018: Is this a good time to enter bitcoin if you have cash? on: December 26, 2018, 06:10:37 PM
If I had extra cash that I don't need I would buy Bitcoins. The price is cheap now but there is also possibility for further dump. Still this red situation on the market will not last forever and the market will recover so I wouldn't wait too long. Buying now is investment for the future and opportunity for new investors to come to the market and this will be good for everyone.
2736  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC to 2300$ on: December 26, 2018, 04:36:58 PM
It's funny how different predictions we have here in community. Some say that Bitcoin will go up to 5000$ by the end of this year and other that it will go down up to 2000$ or even lower. To my opinion these are all speculations but without any solid arguments to support either of these theories.
I'm not saying that they are impossibe, although this prediction with price drop at the moment looks more likely but at current stage it's really hard to say in what way the price will go.
I wouldn't like to say any prediction before this year ends because I don't think that some substantial changes will happen.
2737  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is less stable than some ALTs ! on: December 26, 2018, 12:21:11 PM
Bitcoin is very volatile by the nature and that is nothing to be surprised of. Comparison with other altcoins isn't very appropriate and volatility is not the only feature that should be measured when estimating the value and success of some coins.
No matter the high volatility and some issues that Bitcoin has, to my opinion there is no other coin that could be true challenge to Bitcoin or some that could achieve its success any time soon and take its place.
2738  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price of Bitcoin hit 12 to 13k end of this year? on: December 25, 2018, 04:03:23 PM
It is hard to predict price but bitcoin as a master can easy go to 12k buy end of this year. I am realistic and not romantic that where i see the price. What price you predict btc will be by end of year.
It's sad to say that we will not see bitcoin a highest price because until now we experience a volatile and bearish time in the market. So even we dont have any great profit for this year I think it's time to buy because its affordable.
Looking at current prices, I think there will be a lot of people who are grateful when they see the price of bitcoin reaching a price of $ 6000 or even later this year. well, of course it will be very difficult, and many feel this is not possible. well for now, our thoughts are too far from the price of 12k

Many would be happy, yes, but I don't think that even 6000$ is possible by the end of this year. And 12k or 13k is just wishful thinking, no chances for such price.
Current situation on the market is not showing the signs of any recovery soon so I supppse that the price will stay in current range without some significant changes. It's not excluded that even lower price is possible by the end of the year but I don't expect some significant increase. Also, there is no guarantee that price will grow in the next year but still I hope that the ratio between demand and supply will change and that market will go to the green.
2739  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the main problem with the crypto market at the moment? on: December 25, 2018, 09:23:23 AM
To my opinion at the moment the biggest problem at the crypto market is lack of new investors. On the other hand there is a problem with existing investors who often have too big expectations and are to greedy for unreal profit. Also, after a huge progress of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies and increasing number of users it looks now like this process started to slow down and we are still far away from mass afoption. Cryptocurrencies still have a long way to go.
2740  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOINRumor: Bitmain to fire 50% staff amidst the bitcoin bear market on: December 25, 2018, 07:51:58 AM
Just another speculation without any solid ground, I don't trust that. And along all this years spent with Bitcoin I have learned not to listen to the rumors. They just make damage and spread confusion amog users.
This is just another story that should be instantly forgotten.
