Actually many "antigun nuts" are found to not be defenseless, and have guns or gun-wielding bodyguards to defend themselves (against non-existent threats, because their enemies are law-abiding gun owners who by definition will not harm them in any way, and their allies are violent criminals who will not knowingly kill their golden geese). It makes sense to disarm people before you democide them, or commit other violent crimes against them, though.
2722  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is there a service that converts Credit Card payments to bicoins on: March 28, 2015, 02:02:51 AM
I don't think there is any major service like that since credit card fraud is a major problem. This could also lead to lots of business losing money and the price facing a major fall as of the dumping since the coins would be bought at virtually nothing.

What a load of shit.

Until someone comes up with a practical and safe solution to this problem, Bitcoin will NEVER hit the mainstream. Never.

Credit card fraud is the problem, bitcoin is the solution.
2723  Other / Meta / Re: Not getting email notifications for PMs anymore on: March 27, 2015, 04:29:11 PM
I was able to set things up how you described it. It works fine. Im amazed how many new threads i missed before since i only got occassionally an email for a new thread before. Now i even have to disable some forum notifications. Smiley

How do you get the feed(s) to validate?

When do you have a problem? When adding the feed? I did not have a problem when i did that. So the only explaination i see is that i did not try to add a feed with foreign characters or that the feed did not contain such signs when i added it.

You might want to search for Thunderbird extensions. Maybe there is one that fixes this. Extensions for firefox and thunderbird are there for practically everything. So i wouldnt be surprised when there is one.

Yes, when adding. The only fix I can find is reverting to an earlier TB version.
2724  Economy / Services / Re: What can you do for X BTC? on: March 27, 2015, 04:24:06 PM
Provide or buy/fund this service

Can you do this for BTC (5 USD)? (Please note, we are not the buyers, we create challenges to help buyers and sellers meet)

#Post a YouTube video of yourself or a friend speaking.
#In the video, you repeat these words:

"Hanuman was feeling relaxed. Chillax, he thought to himself. No need to rush. Then the coyote arrived.

Hanuman and the coyote were staring at each other under the moon in a setting that resembled paradise. The water at the beach front was quiet, moonbeams reflecting on its surface."

I can do that for , but you seem allergic to using BTC prices like that.
2725  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Mexican Artists - Get the correct name and win BTC !!! on: March 27, 2015, 05:48:15 AM
Are you incapable of posting what the BTC prize amount is?

Somehow I don't think $76.5 billion is going to equip and train the unorganized militia (coupled with the destruction and imprisonment of all who advocate "gun control" aka treasonous disarmament of only law-abiding, mentally-sound, sober victims), which would actually be a meaningful defense against ISIS.
2729  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Scotland to ban smoking in cars with children on: March 26, 2015, 05:59:46 PM
I'm a smoker too and wouldn't smoke around any of my younger cousins but the threat of force towards those that would is wrong. Also, the threat of second hand smoke has been debunked and this nanny statism is not something that we need more of.

You are right on the nanny state. But even if it was debunked smoking is not a good habit to "teach" for children.
Sometimes I think if the state don't want us to smoke then smoking must be a good thing Smiley. (Actually nicotine is far better and safer anti depressant than anything what the big pharma can make.)

The state does want you to smoke. Who else would it leech all that tax (ineffective as a financial disincentive) revenue from?

2731  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you name your baby Satoshi for 150 bitcoins? on: March 26, 2015, 05:52:07 PM
I think naming your baby after a sub-unit of Bitcoin is inappropriate.

...

LOL. Name your child Satoshi, rename yourself the next subunit to the left, rename your father the next subunit to the left, rename your grandfather the next subunit to the left...
2732  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Scotland to ban smoking in cars with children on: March 26, 2015, 06:14:17 AM
Top 3 things stolen in convenience store robberies:
Money
Cigarettes
Alcohol

Even legal marijuana dispensaries without armed security are getting robbed.

No amount of financial disincentive has ever stopped addicts, only their free will, or their deaths.
2733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: P2P and The dangers of to much freedom without control can be good and bad. on: March 25, 2015, 10:51:27 PM
"I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than those attending too small a degree of it."

Would be better if they made a law that exempted children from prosecution for defending themselves against scumbags hotboxing them in captivity.

2738  Economy / Services / Re: [HIRING] .1 BTC to mail a letter for me on: March 25, 2015, 04:13:19 AM
I'll do it if I don't detect a hint of criminality, the BTC0.1 is sent up front, and the BTC0.2 is placed with an escrow we mutually trust.
This smells like there is something illegal going on here. Granted it is plausible that he is far from a post office/UPS, ect. equivalent, however I think it is more likely the OP is trying to somehow harass someone who probably does not know his identity and is trying to make it look like it is you harassing him/her (hence the tracking instead of letting you drop it in the mail somewhere). Although all this is speculation.

You can track any mail starting from any mail drop.
Don't you generally need to personally buy a tracking number (e.g. with a stamps.com account or at a post office, both of which would associate your identity with the person who sent the letter)? If you were to simply buy stamps at a grocery store, then I don't think the stamp could be traced back to your identity easily

You could pay cash at a post office and wear a fake mustache, beard, and glasses, or buy tracking/postage with an unverified PayPal account you funded with cash, or buy stamps at a grocery store, apply sufficient postage, stick on a tracking number label that you get from the organizer slots at the package prep counter, and subscribe to its updates.

I'll do it if I don't detect a hint of criminality, the BTC0.1 is sent up front, and the BTC0.2 is placed with an escrow we mutually trust.

Are you sure they scan every piece of mail as it comes out of each mail deposit box?  In Canada they don't.

I thought the proposition (in bold) was that items won't be tracked at time of delivery if you put it in a blue box to begin with. That isn't true. My blue boxed items with tracking numbers always track to the destination.
2739  Economy / Services / Re: Can you do X for Y BTC? on: March 25, 2015, 04:02:07 AM
Can you paint a bizarre yet not too scary facemask on yourself for BTC (8 USD)?
Provider: TBA
bitcoin:15JCtgirLZQ9wdxm5CgNo3U82Hgu1CuXzn

I can take a pic of that for

P.S. Please convert prices with http://btc-priceimg.herokuapp.com/ like I just did.
