https://www.gyft.com/buy-gift-cards/ - put 'topic' in the search. You'll get 5% in points back if you buy with BTC this month.

An unbanked person can go get an amazon card for say $100 for cash and the card has a spending value of, wait for it, $100. Not with bitcoin.

Bullshit. Gyft allows you to buy a $100 Amazon code for $100 in BTC AND get 3-5% in points back. Which is $3 to $5 if you're bad at math.

Buy hard at $1/BTC.

Let the waiting begin!

Do you have a flesh-eating terminal disease? 18 month downtrend, should hit $1/BTC again in all of our lifetimes.

I can't tell if you are serious or not. Btc won't hit $1, if you really think it will then you think why are you here? If it were to ever hit $1, it would be because something new has come out that everyone left btc for, meaning essentially it is worth $0

Thats the dream for all of us lol.

Bitcoin hitting $1 would be a blood bath, and I know people be buying the thousands.

Partly why I'm here. I was unaware there was a law that people who think BTC will return to $1 are prohibited from being on bitcointalk. Roll Eyes

When I get posts deleted in self-moderated heads, I receive the following PM:
Quote from: Bitcoin Forum
A reply of yours, quoted below, was deleted by the starter of a self-moderated topic. There are no rules of self-moderation, so this deletion cannot be appealed. Do not continue posting in this topic if the topic-starter has requested that you leave.

You can create a new topic if you are unsatisfied with this one. If the topic-starter is scamming, post about it in Scam Accusations.

--snip--
TBZ - have you asked KoS to stop posting in your threads? If not then I would suggest that you take the opportunity to now ask him to stop posting in your self moderated threads.

BitcoinDistributor and all alt usernames thereof, STOP POSTING IN MY THREADS/TOPICS.

Though I'm sure that'll be the third rule he'll break and bold-faced-lie about, QS.

Quote
Regarding the PM that you sent to him, while I did honestly LOL at what you said, I don't think there is any reason why you shouldn't do business with a scammer (or someone who has defaulted on a loan) as long as they pay you upfront and they are willing to pay an amount that you are willing to accept. I would say that your reputation would be strong enough so that I would trust you with a few hundred dollars when buying something from you, so it would be reasonable to ask for a direct trade, which would limit the risks to you.

It's not a matter of risk. I reserve the right to refuse service to those who are in arrears (or otherwise are in unlawful possession of other peoples' BTC). Were he to pay me, my ethics say that payment would be encumbered to BigBitz, but I'm not
1) going to sell a debtor an item and pay their creditor the encumbered amount, leaving me with nothing (in BigBitz's case, 100% of my bonds sale would be only part of what he's owed)
2) a debt collector (even if it were legal to trick debtors into paying their creditor back by not sending what the debtor thought they were paying for).

The chances that it was a random error/typing error/etc are virtually nil.  It would have to be someone who knows you/has transacted with you/etc.  So, be nice to the people you know and return it. Smiley

Or they'd had your address in their clipboard, randomly putting them into bc.i, but they didn't immediately recognize it when pasting, and they freak out after the erroneous send, and post a thread. Pretty sure this has happened at least a few times before. Google isn't 100% either.
1791  Other / Off-topic / Re: if you entered your wallet and you found 50BTC what you will do ? on: August 26, 2015, 04:07:05 AM
Don't "refund". You don't know if the BTC you're blindly "refunding" will actually be going to the legitimate owner.

Also, if it wasn't a mistaken send to your address (in which case, someone will probably be posting a "lost my BTC" thread on this forum or /r/bitcoin about it), it's likely your wallet has a crap PRNG, so you shouldn't send it to any other address generated by that wallet, you should copy/paste an address from another wallet of yours, ideally on a different device, and send the BTC to yourself. Then watch for a "lost my BTC" thread to appear on the aforementioned places. Whoever legitimately owned the BTC should be able to send you a random string of text (that you give them) signed with their sending key(s) AND the same key you collided with due to the crap PRNG.

I'm not trolling.

I love pathological lies.

In Internet slang, a troll (/ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory,[1] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[2] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.[3]

Congratulations, I've broken no rules.

3. No trolling.

Local rules:
1) All replies (other than mine) until further notice must be bids PGP-clearsigned by each bidder using the text in the Code box below, without modification except between each set of {} marks:

Oh look, you broke 2 rules for the price of 3-1: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1152596.msg12243171#msg12243171

Congratulations, I've broken no rules. Lets keep at it, hope you're awake at 2am when I get back from the bars to continue this too! Until you leave the posts there I will continue reposting it as I am allowed to.

If you want to handle yourself immaturely which you have then I'm going to make sure to warn others of your immaturity. You can self mod all you want, there is no rule stating I can't repost my post 1000x just because YOU don't like it.

Nice to get your bold-faced lie on the record.

3. No trolling.

This was my PM that he was "insulted" by. If the truth hurts, you should have paid back all your loans, in full, on time, period.
I'll send a screenshot of the bonds listed in TreasuryDirect that I'm selling, to someone who isn't in arrears.
