2721  Other / Off-topic / Re: Jake Paul vs Conor McGregor on: March 25, 2022, 02:21:33 AM
This match may possible to happen if both parties agrees with the terms, we know McGregor will fight even if this is not his forte as long as he get paid well here, same thing with Jake Paul.

I think Jake Paul's camp are the one who offered the money for Connor, therefore the approval should only come from Connor and we will see this fight happening if he approves. The offer based on the previous post is very huge, we are talking of $50 million USD here, so I think that amount is hard to resist knowing Connor doesn't make that much in his previous MMA fight.

Indeed that is huge for a exhibition fight like this, but who knows, maybe he will demand more because Conor knows that he can still bring sits in any stadium and the PPV numbers are going to be very big as well.

So it boils down as to how the money will be split, it could be in favor of Conor here as he will be the A-side and he is well known around the world as compare to Jake Paul who just rises up in popularity because of him being a Youtube sensation and then moving to exhibition fights.
2722  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: March 25, 2022, 01:58:46 AM
But on the other hand Murata is also not an ordinary boxer and he definitely wants to make something that people who see him definitely don't want to forget. even though he is the favorite but on the other hand this match will not be easy for GGG.

I agree on that, he is not just an ordinary fighter because he is also a champion, it's just that GGG is more popular as a boxer but of course, Murata has a chance of winning the fight. The popularity of GGG makes him the favorite to win the fight, and if we look at the betting odds, Murata here is a heavy underdog which IMO a good chance for the backers to take advantage of the odds if they'll like to put a bet on this fight.

Quote
Boxing Odds: Gennady Golovkin -650 favorite, Ryota Murata +410 underdog.
https://bettinginsiderjournal.com/boxing/gennady-golovkin-vs-ryota-murata-odds-predictions/

A champion? But he didn't fight for it. Just to inform you guys that Murata's WBA (Super) middleweight champion is a vacant title by Canelo Alvarez because he now moves up and has an upcoming fight with Bivol. Murata didn't gain it thru defeating or stealing it in a title match.

The fight with Gennady Golovkin is Murata's first fight since getting the WBA Title.

I don't see what kind of strategy he can used to defeat a much experience and stronger GGG that only has 1 loss in his entire boxing career.

He was a WBA champion in 2019: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-72YL1Z_PG4

Maybe what you meant is that he was relegated by the WBA to their regular champion at Middleweight (too much belt for boxing governing body).

In any case, we can't take anything away from Murata, he has worked his ass off and now it will be a big test against GGG but hopefully he won't derail the much anticipated GGG vs Canelo Alvarez 3rd fight.

So he is really a champion after all.

Well, Murata really has a nice future looking at his previous fights, however, the quality of opponents matters and we have here GGG who some may think is old already but this guy is a battle tested, so it's just normal that people think he would beat the ass of Murata easily.

Yeah, he has been campaigning in the 160 lbs for years now. That's a big factor as far as their opposition is, Murata seems to be just hanging in Japan and mostly fight confident in his hometown. GGG has started in his native town and then move to the US to fight and faces more tough opposition as compare to Murata.

But Murata has punching power, so this fight will be interesting as how GGG style will match against the Japanese. Both are ring rusty though, so that's another factor that we have to look early and then who will still be fresh on their legs as the fight goes on.
2723  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price stay above $40000? on: March 25, 2022, 01:25:33 AM
Yeah, once again that proves that the market is totally unpredictable because no matter how much negative speculations that we saw, the flow of the price is still going in the opposite direction.
I don't think Bitcoin price move in the opposite direction. There should be some reasons why Bitcoin price can increase or decrease. The current increase (BTC hits $44k) is probably the impact of good news about crypto from Ukraine and USA. People are interested to buy more Bitcoin because they view the potential for an improvement on Bitcoin in the near future. It was very different from the situation when BTC price dropped around $35k several weeks ago, people were afraid to buy Bitcoin because of the issue of the world's economic status. The demand was decreasing much, people are worried the war may bring negative impacts to crypto market. So, basically, BTC price moves according to the current situation in crypto, and it can be a bit predictable. IMO

I was a little bit skeptic with the current run, specially when it hits $43,000 again, but seeing the price going as high as $44,000 right now, hard not to think that this could be a bull run or just a bull trap. So we still need to be very cautious in our trading strategy right now, it's better to wait for the price to at least go down to buy and get inside. Of course, there is always the FOMO, but then again, with the war in Europe, we don't know if this the reason behind or it's just that Bitcoin narrative has change, cycles has evolved as well. There were even a call that we might be seeing super cycles, so we will see how it goes.
2724  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc and usdt people trust on: March 24, 2022, 02:59:19 AM
Traders and alot rich traders investors are in 2 things.
Btc and usdt as USDT is safe place to hold funds but how the exchangers protect this ?
Imagine if something happens with usdt many people will lose so much that they never cant deal with crypto anymore so what is the exvhangers security plan to fully protect customers ?
As myself fully depend on usdt thats how much i trust usdt and usdc also.

People want to be in crypto if they can funds in stable coins to give them safety but if usdt not safe as there is rumours about usdt then all the crypto game will be over.
I can never sleep well if i know my money will be in volatile coins so USDT is now very important and gives confidence for investors and crypto lovers such us myself

I think this is not new, since the advent of stable coins, they have been accused of running on fractional reserves, they are even been charge of bringing bearish trend on the market and can really put a dent on the price.

I guess the only way to protect yourself and not to fully store your bitcoin into these stable coins. Just learn to hold even if the price is going down and just continue buying and be a long term holder.
2725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: March 24, 2022, 02:21:50 AM
Sorry mate, I think Spence will win this fight if this will end in KO.

No way, Ugas would beat Spence by KO if he will play safe all the time, if he was not able to KO Pacman who is a smaller fighter and had a problem in the fight, how much more a bigger and a prime Spence, so NO.

Knockout = Spence
Decision = Ugas 30% Spence 70% lol

Ugas has no way to win but to show he's the clear winner of the fight. Although we are just are guessing here, looks like everything is on Spence's side. Poor Ugas, he really needs to work a hard way since, in the first place, that was the necessary thing to do.

No need for a Knock Out win but if he can do it, much better. That's a big upset to Spence if he will won this match.

It's a big hill for Ugas to climb here, he really needs to have a satisfying win if this goes to 12 round. A knock out maybe be out of the picture, but who knows, maybe he can dig and find a way to hit Spence on the right spot and knock him down for good.

So yeah, Ugas should be perfect in this match, his mindset, his body in order to pull an upset and then calls for Crawford for the unification.
2726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: March 24, 2022, 01:21:52 AM
^^ Very very important for Casimero to not have any issues with this fight. And I agree that he has sort it out with hiring a nutritionist that will overlook everything he eat and should be making good meals for him.

So everything is set for him against Butler, only the outcome of the fight is an unknown variables. But for us, Casimero is the favorite and chances are very high that he will win this fight.

Proper diet and exercise, I think from head to toe, Casimero's camp is doing their very best to make their fights healthy and fit. I don't see any videos of hard training meaning they are really focusing on his diet as his medical condition is related to the food he intakes.

Smooth and light training while maintaining a balanced diet is already good. Casimero just has to remain fit until the fight.

Paul Butler on the other hand won't waste the opportunity to take that as an advantage. Can't wait for the strategy he will use to take down Casimero.

Yeah, I think its' more of diet on Casimero's side, it should be balance and couple it with good training, he can make the weight easy, no problem.

As compare to Butler wherein he is a career bantamweight so there will be no problem on his side. But he will be taking one of the most dangerous fighter in the division so it will be very difficult for him.
2727  Other / Off-topic / Re: Jake Paul vs Conor McGregor on: March 24, 2022, 12:50:11 AM
I used to like McGregor back when he wasn't trying to prove that he can box. He was not only great talker but a great walker (and hitter). Both fights with Diaz and the way these two talked to each other - pure gold. Now I feel like the old confident McGregor is gone. He also changed his way of fighting and for the worse. He's less active, slower, less cocky.
That said, I'd like him to win and beat Jake. This guy is nasty, both Paul brothers are, can't stand them. Actually, he shouldn't take the fight. It's not worth it, I'd focus on UFC not on a sport you're not 100% sure you want to be in.

Age might have caught on Conor already, he is not getting any younger and it's better if he continue his semi-retirement. I don't think he has much to proved in the UFC anymore, he has brought lot of money business wise, inside and outside the ring.

This is an exhibition if he decided to push for it, so I don't think you can call it sports per se, it's all for the money. And I guess this is just the reason why he is allowing this fight to be in his table.
2728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto wealth can only be built in bear market on: March 23, 2022, 11:21:29 AM
Wealth is created during the bear market not in bull market, the question now is are we still in bull market or bear market? We can't expect crypto market to crash instantly if bear is going to happen it will be a gradual process so what is your take on this? Should newbies wait or buy coins right now?

I will be leaning towards the bear market right now.

Of course, it might be slow but methodical downturn in the next couple of months. But still, it's a bear market at what angle you look at it

Not just newbies, but everyone should wait for the perfect time to buy, specially if there is a blood shed  maybe in three months time.
2729  Economy / Speculation / Re: Expect Bullrun this year again! on: March 23, 2022, 10:34:42 AM
This week the price of Bitcoin has risen more than 8%, I will be increasingly optimistic that Bull Run will soon occur, and soon the FIFA World Cup will soon be a lot of Cryptocurrencies into an official sponsor and currently there is Crypto.com which will soon be followed by Cryptocurrencies other. Maybe Bull Run happens in August or 4 months again.

It is not an assurance that there will be a bull run at least because of the FIFA. Of course, bitcoin an crypto will be exposed because of the sponsorship, but it doesn't mean that the fans around the world will suddenly buy bitcoin.  So it's really hard to believed if there will be bull run this year because the price seems to be having a lot of hard time getting an maintaining a price levels because of what is happening around the world, the war in Europe and other factors that might affect investors mentality on crypto and any other assets.
2730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 23, 2022, 10:07:47 AM
GGG vs Canelo would happen if the rumors are true, but they have to defeat their opponent first in their coming fight. As a fan, all I wish is to see a fight between the best of the best, and GGG vs Canelo is surely one of the best fights to see

Actually, that rumor is already not a rumor since likely it will really happen. But first, GGG and Canelo should win in their respective matches against Murata and Bivol. It's a big money fight that even Canelo is not interested anymore in a trilogy, he will accept the offer. It's also a big opportunity for him to silence the doubts that he won the 1st and 2nd matches. Canelo will now be able to seal who's the winner by defeating GGG for the last time.

But GG also has the same goal, to win. Although he's already 40 years at the time of the fight, let's hope that he will still give a difficult fight to Canelo who is currently in his prime.

Yup, the rumors have miraculously turned into a reality now because Canelo has been offered and signed a deal with Bivol and of course GGG is included in that deal, now he have no other choice now because he also needs to defeat Bivol. And yes, even if Canelo doesn't want the trilogy, he have the chance now to shut those critics for good and prove it for the 3rd time.

Yeah, when we thought that Canelo will not give any 3rd fight with GGG as he moves to conquer different weight classes, and we have heard that he will go as high as Light HW, comes this surprising news that he will fight Bivol first in May and then will have Canelo in September this year. Perhaps it was all about the money or he just simply wanted to silence his critics for good with a good and very compelling win in the third fight.
2731  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: March 23, 2022, 09:37:27 AM
That's likely going to happen if Casimero won't show up again, this is his last chance so he should really work more hard now because he was given a chance instead of getting stripped after that incident in Dubai last year but I think that wouldn't going to happen this time as his camp is really focusing on his health now.

After that Dubai incident, Probellum has announced it clearly that this April fight for Casimero is his last chance and if that incident will happen again then he would be strip of the belt and they will look for a replacement boxer so I think they are now scouting or we could say that a "plan B" is in place.

Probellum was caught off guard on that Dubai incident so I think they learned their lessons well and hard lol.

Yeah, you are right, perhaps they think that it was a go for Casimero until the day of the weigh in wherein John Riel was a no show. Although they try to salvage the fight by having a late replacement for Casimero, Butler didn't bite the bullet.

And it's good that he didn't and still hope that he can fight Casimero with his belt. So Casimero better be ready because his future in on the line here.
2732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: March 23, 2022, 09:16:36 AM
^^ But GGG should win against Murata to keep the hype alive on the possibility of a trilogy. If he lost this fight then perhaps fans will likely say that this is going to be a mismatch in favor of Canelo because GGG is old as Murata beat him. So it's better for both of them to win against their opponent, setup one of the biggest fight this year in September.

Definitely, if GGG will lose against Murata then I think there's no need to get excited because the match is not that really interesting to see anymore because we know that Canelo is still in his prime and that will surely mean that he will be declared as the winner in the people's eye even before the fight happened then certainly the hype will end.

True, that's why the trilogy is still based on their fights, if anyone one of them loses, specially GGG, then the trilogy will not be interesting to see for some casual fans. Maybe those who wanted to see are the hard core fans of the two.

So GGG will really have to showcase his talent first against Murata, as if sending a message to Canelo that he is still ready to fight him.
2733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: March 21, 2022, 02:00:33 AM
What about the women's final?

Not sure what to bet, but I just go with my guts over 21.5 with good @1.98 boosted.

This could end up in 3 sets, with a lot of rally from the two ladies, I wanted to go and bet on Sakkari ML, but we will see. Swiatek though is really playing high level so it's hard to bet against her.
Swiatek won the match on direct sets 6-4, 6-1 and this went as a very short game. Sakkari tried hard in the first set and in the second set she wasn't able to come back to the game. With this win Swiatek have moved to the world number two position. Earlier Swiatek and Sakkari have played four matches, among that three matches were won by Swiatek on direct sets. Once again the same have happened.

Yeah, a lot is at stake in this match for Swiatek and she simply dominated Sakkari, never given her any chance for a comeback and no more three setter in this game.

It's seems that Swiatek remains consistent throughout this tournament.

On the men's side, Fritz handed Nadal his first lost in 2022 which a masterful two set win, 6-4, 7-6.
2734  Economy / Economics / Re: Sanctions left and right, Can the Russian economy survive? on: March 21, 2022, 01:28:57 AM
They can for sure.

What do people think of Russia, as a small country that won't recover or will be a big hit by those sanctions? I think that it's going to be an easy thing for them.

Just look at their allies, they have China on their back, and for sure that it will help them to cover up those sanctions if ever they can stand on their own.

But I think they will.
Sanctions left and right made Russia hard to recover from this war but knowing how huge this country and how capable they are, i think Russians will still be able to survive and recover from all these sanctions. However, with these different sanctions, Russians will find it hard to live a normal life after this war but with the help of China, things will slowly recover until all the damages from this war will only be part of history.
Before the start of the war, President Putin had a meeting with President Xi Jinping during the opening ceremony of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. The two men discussed bilateral issues and international strategic security. The two sides have called the partnership "unlimited". Showed that they were prepared for all possible scenarios and the closeness of the two sides. The Russians will not perish from sanctions, but recovery and growth will require the help of the Asian giants.

I think Russia will survived with all the sanctions around them, we haven't seen any countries fully drained just because the West and it's allies put a embargo on them. But there will be outside help like China which has a close ties with Russia for many years now and they have one common enemy which is US. US though is pressuring China in this case, but China doesn't care, I mean if US wants to sanction them, so be it. History will judge which is really the aggressor or who provokes this kind of friction globally.
2735  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do people overestimate BTC? on: March 21, 2022, 01:07:25 AM
Most people only want to buy bitcoin even though there are many other cryptocurrencies, but what is happening with bitcoin today has been predicted 10 years ago, even many are optimistic that the current price of bitcoin should have been $1 million, when there was a long correction since december it made we have to be realistic, maybe a big increase usually is a cycle every 4 years.

$1 million at short amount of time? I doubt that any asset can accomplished that not even bitcoin. It should not be in a quick increase as it takes time for a certain asset in this example, Bitcoin to mature first before it can go up again. And another thing that separates it is the idea of halving, which makes Bitcoin more scarce as time goes by that why it will continue to increase every 4 cycle because of this phenomena. Rest assured though that the potential $1 million can be hit maybe in the next 10 years or less.
2736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Shakur Stevenson vs Oscar Valdez 130-pound Title Unification Fight on: March 20, 2022, 07:12:14 AM
^^ Valdez though is known to have a crazy left hook as well, this is his main weapon now, he used it against Berchelt in their fight to knock him out.

Shakur knows what Valdez main weapon is, potentially he has an approach on how to negate it or at least counter with his own body shots.

That's why this fight is going to be very interesting as both could land solid punch against each other and we will see who's chin and body are going to hold in the end. But so far Stevenson remains to be the favorite to win this fight base on the odds but this can't be for certain as Valdez is also been tested many times and won the fight.

Their style will really be shown in this fight, a defensive boxer against a offensive fighter. We will know which one will prevail and what kind of style it is. It could go to 12 rounds or this could fight wouldn't last if they decided to fight mano a mano in the center.
2737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: March 20, 2022, 02:48:11 AM
Can't underestimate Ugas, he is now a champion and we cannot just look at his past fights as every boxer has a chance to improve and be more motivated especially if they are already holding a belt. The last fight of Ugas probably will bring him enough confidence in facing Spence, and Spence should see that as Ugas is not the same fighter anymore 2 years ago.

Ugas believers here can take advantage of the betting odds, the public would not change their view anyway, so Ugas will remain as underdog.
It's true that things like this are very clear because indeed his victory against Paquiao clearly gives him an advantage in terms of public opinion now.
But on the other hand Spence definitely knows this and with this he will be more motivated I think. Victory against Ugas will certainly make his name shine even more and this will be his chance to make history for his career. I think it will be tough in terms of the fight later but even so I will not hesitate to be on Spence's Side

Beating Ugas is like beating Pacman also, so no more speculation that Spence could lose the fight if he did not cancel it. There's a lot of stake on this fight as both are champions trying to unify their belt, and I like Ugas for taking this fight even though he is a real underdog, which only says he really has the heart of a champion.

Well we can put it that way, if he beats Ugas then he can claim that he beat the man who beat the legend. Both belts are on the line that's why there are a lot at stakes in this fight and no one wanted to give anyone even just one advantage before the fight. Ugas is the underdog as we mentioned many times already, and there is no shift, Ugas is 4:1 underdog still. Very good and attractive odds at this point.
2738  Other / Politics & Society / Re: what could be Vladimir Putin intension for the war? on: March 20, 2022, 02:22:53 AM
Despite the fact that the negotiations for peace between Russia and Ukraine is making good progress, it really appears that Vladimir Putin just want to destroy Ukraine. If the intent of Putin is really in the best interest of Russia and not personal grievance for what so ever his personal reason could be, why not call a halt on his troop until the negotiation is over.
source
Ukraine joining NATO began since 1992, and began its NATO membership action plan in 2008, why didn’t he start this war then? Was he friends with previous Ukrainian Presidents and probably do not just like Volodymyr Zelenskyy? Source
I would like to know your opinion on what could be the real intent for this war

At least to me it seems that the issue with Ukraine joining NATO is nothing but an excuse, to me it seems that Putin wants to recreate the USSR and for that he needs to annex Ukraine regardless of the economic cost this could signify for his country, and if that is the case then the next question is what are the plans of Putin for the rest of those countries? Will he try to to do this again in another country? Because even if at this point NATO will not join the war at Ukraine, can they tolerate that something like this happens again?

I do agree it's just an excuse, maybe it's been brewing for years inside Putin that he wanted Ukraine back for Russian, but Ukraine is like moving on the opposite direction. So when the timing is right, Putin attack under the guise of Ukraine joining the NATO and the West. As you can see in his speech, it seem this fight is personal to him, maybe he wanted to bring the old glory back of the USSR to that effect, he is the remnants of it for all we know.
2739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: March 20, 2022, 01:49:53 AM
I am not sure if this fight will happen. Although boxing fans are looking ahead for this fight but Bivol is Russian. And there are many chances that like many other sports this match will be cancelled as well. But let's hope for the best. In today's time safety of everyone is important than entertainment.

This fight will go on as plan because of the amount of money involved here. The only thing that some of the people have concern about is the sanctioning of this fight because of Bivol being a Russian. Some don't want this to be a title fight, some want to cancel but the promoters is keen on proceeding whether there is a belt or none as long as Canelo can fulfill what is written on the contract.

The odds are already out from bookies, it means, the likelihood that it will happen is there. Unless, there will be unexpected scenarios here. One is about being Russian of Bivol. But inside the ring, is the race really important? Just like what Arnold Schwarzenegger's said in his viral video for Russians, when he was young, his inspiration was Russian Olympic weightlifter Yuri Vlasov. It didn't matter if his father didn't like him because he was Russian, but he gave him inspiration for the sports. After all, we are all humans on this Earth, just trying to survive. So this match of Alvarez vs Bivol, will test Alvarez how tough he is in going up this weight division.

Canelo is familiar with this weight class, he has fought here once against Kovalev and it's a very tough match for him. But after that Canelo improves so him going again on this weight with Bivol as his opponent might be another difficult fight for him. However, we have seen Alvarez rise to be one of the best boxers in recent memory so this fight is a go and Bivol will be given the green light even if he is a Russian going to fight in US soil.
2740  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: March 20, 2022, 01:16:07 AM
^^  I can only comment that if the Japanese match is on the lower weight for sure this is going to be fire as Japanese is known for their brave fighting skills.

I'm not familiar with those names, but if I have the chance to watch the undercard I will because as I have said it will be very fun and entertaining to watch.

@bisdak40 - hopefully they can hurdle each opponent so that Alvarez vs Golovkin could be sealed.
