1801  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 23, 2022, 05:06:59 PM
Fury vs Usyk have been postponed for next year if I'm not mistaken as Usyk said that he wanted to take a break. And then we have heard that Fury vs Joshua was also in the horizon, unfortunately the fight is also in a dead end.
Usyk wants to rest so he can heal properly physically from the fights he has been in this year already, we will see him in the ring again next year. Fury who is hungry for a fight and has been turned down by Anthony Joshua for that audience, will now fight Chisora for the third time who he has beaten twice before. Fury is in a high spirited mode and is promising a good fight, but since he wanted the Anthony Joshua challenge before which he didn't get heading to the fight with Usyk next year, his team should not want to be quick to see Chisora as a walk over. Chisora has lost twice already to Fury and knows exactly who he is getting into the ring with, he will not like to make it three times, and he was the winner in his last fight, maybe that's an indication that he has developed from the last time he was in the ring with Fury.

I do agree, it's not that Usyk is trying to avoid Fury, but he just come from a struggling 12 round fight from Anthony Joshua. And so he has every right to rest for a while. While Fury is desperate to remain active this year, calls joshua but the fight didn't move forward. Now Chisora is the chosen one, but we all know that Chisora is no match for Fury. And whatever style Chisora shows in this fight, Fury will still win in my opinion.
1802  Economy / Economics / Re: Competition in business on: October 21, 2022, 11:05:04 AM
One thing that wasn't calculated when considering "competition is healthy" was the fact that not everyone would have the chance to purchase the same services or items. For example, at certain point companies started to stop manufacturing the best they could for as cheap as possible, and they started to create products that was the best but expensive for the rich people, and alternative cheap versions for the poor people. Same goes for service, you want to get a website made? There is a guy who can do it for 50 bucks, and another one who can for 50k dollars, not same results, and 50k can't be afforded by most, so we are stuck with bad results.
Financial capability is always a concern here, that's why there's a small business that are actually competing with the top brands by offering a cheaper alternatives and that's where the mass public are, many left with no choice but to deal with the cheaper option even if the quality is not that good. Every business have their own target market, many can stay within the competition while others can't, this is how business works and not everyone will always win.

Yeah, and I guess it's 50/50 for us consumers, if there could be some competition that offers cheap alternative and it's good as the original or expensive one, then definitely, consumers will go and try and maybe stick with them.

The problem is that those cheap alternatives will have to keep it that way, lower the price but the quality is still at par with the best. But as I have said, once they become famous or corner the majority, they started to raise the price as well.
1803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gala potential? on: October 21, 2022, 10:48:01 AM
Really hard to give financial advise mate, but I will say that Gala is one project that I'm looking for in this bear market and wanted to invest.

So the decision is still up to you, if you really think that there is a potential, then by all means continue to DCA.

Or look for other projects, explore and diversify your portfolio.
1804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: October 21, 2022, 10:29:16 AM
And as I have said before, I suspect that one reason beside the split and possible rematch clause, is the PPV price. Because as we all know there are a lot that it is streaming it for free and it we are going to see the numbers in most recent fights, it is on a decline. The Canelo vs GGG trilogy was just over 1 million buys and if I'm not mistaken, it fell to what it is expected or predicted to be around 1.3-1.5 buys. And so maybe this could be one sticking points, how much they will charge the viewing public, do they need to increased since this is a mega fight, or it is enough for $75-$79.99 price?
1805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Faucet and Bonus Farming on: October 21, 2022, 12:53:38 AM
I have seen more than 2 casinos locking user accounts for this action, and is it really the users fault?

If the users claims tons of faucets or bonus is because the casino engine allows it, and if the casino is losing money with this action they should fix their code to avoid this problem and not steal users money.

The casinos sets the rules of the game, and if a user is smarter enough to find a way to make profit with those rules then they shouldn't block users withdrawals.

So, what do you think about this?

Yes, they are the one setting the rules so at any time that can also change it whatever they want, specially if they see someone or groups of people have been 'abusing' them faucet. The keyword is abuse, and so we all know what that it means it's improper so it will be dealt with.

There are no such thing as smart players, if this is the case then everyone can brought the house down. Casinos are design not to be outsmart by anyone.
1806  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: October 20, 2022, 11:53:03 PM
I submitted my vote to Casimero, this is going to be a big comeback fight for him so I think he will give his everything. And obviously the weight issues might not be evident  as he has to move up 4 lbs heavier, so it will be easier for him to maintain that weight. Power? he can still bring it in I reckon, fighters usually has one weight to carry their power, but after that it might diminished. So I'm expecting Casimero to win via knock out or technical knock out when Akaho can't fight anymore.
1807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BSV the end. on: October 20, 2022, 09:25:57 AM
Good riddance, I mean we all know that they have cause so much disruption back then and challenge the real Bitcoin. However, investors and miners are smart and sooner or later we will see this kind of takeover.

And the bad thing is that it only takes 50% of the hashrate for a takeover, and this single miner has 80%, damn. Just shows that no one is really mining this shitcoin and hopefully those who are still holding BSV have dump it already.

I guess for some of us, the cycle still holds true every 4 years as it has been proven till 2021. So yes, the cycle will continue and even though there are some who think that it can break the pattern since we have a whole country, El Salvador making it their legal tender. Super cycle or two bull runs in 4 years? Nah, I'm sorry but I don't think it's possible. So bull run starts at the halving year of 2024 and then eventually reaches it's peak in 2025.
1809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 19, 2022, 11:56:36 PM
Nice win by Tsitsipas tonight in Stockholm against Maxime Cressy.
Even with nice odds on the first set since the Greek was quoted up to @1.90 ( I was able to take a nice/comfortable @1.60).
Tsitsipas must be followed into this tournament. He is the first player of the seed, and he is playing at high level.
For sure he deserve some attention...

There is also a new entry into this tournament, the Czech player Jiri Lehecka. He has won against Dimitrov with some nice shot.
He is only 20 yo.

Tsitsipas has an amazing chance to win this tournament and finally win a trophy he is playing good and he has a good draw. Lehecka pulled a really big win against Dimitrov and Dimitrov had the win in the bag but just didnt focus enough in the tie break and went from 5-2 lead to 5-7 in the tie break

I totally missed this one, I'm a big Tsitsipas fans but lately his game is going down. And so it's good to hear to win. He is the top seed in this tournament so hopefully he can live up to the billing.

The Tsitsipas match though is very close against Cressy, it was two tie break set. So hopefully whoever he plays next in the quarter finals tomorrow, it will be a good match or possibly 3 setter as I will bet on the Over.
1810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Want KYC at Crypto Casinos During Registration? on: October 19, 2022, 11:04:48 PM
I will go old fashioned and voted for

I would rather lose all my money than go through KYC.

I'm not a big fish in gambling anyway, so why would I go to KYC when I don't win that huge although I bet on different sports. It's just the KYC will be a hassle for the majority of us and hopefully there will still be some casinos that will not require us to send our personal documents just to withdraw 100 dollars.
1811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: October 19, 2022, 10:44:15 PM
Haney was smart because he made the right adjustment, but when Haney adjusted, Kambosos should also counter it, but it didn't happen, he stick with his strategy despite the fact that Haney had already read it, Kambosos was lucky that Haney is not a KO artist, if he was, that fight would certainly end in KO.

I think the outcome would be different if Haney is a knock-out artist as he will be the aggressor and prone to Kambosos' counters just like what happened to Teofimo Lopez. Haney's style has brought him this far and the only downside of his style is how to draw a large crowd to watch his fights because, to be honest most of the fans are not excited to watch his fights.
It could be mate because Haney will definitely not try to be aggressor round 3 up to the last round. Maybe he felt that Kambosos has no power in him, as he can eat everything that George throw and then he shows that somewhat he has some when he beat Kambosos to the punch and then batter him the full 12 rounds causing Kambosos face to swell and cut with blood. But if George has power, like le't say Ryan Garcia, it could be a different outcome and strategy for Devin Haney and his team as they will have to avoid that power punches and he could be more defensive.
That was also the only time I saw that Haney was very aggressive, he was supposed to play safe and stay technical all throughout the game, but maybe he knows that fans does not like that style, they want an entertaining one, so Haney just trying to please the fans and indeed he won.

Yes and he has adjusted to Kambosos power, and so he was able to absorb it without any issues or problem in his chin. And then most probably he wanted to show more and make it as entertaining for the Australian fans although he is beating their very own boxer.

And at least they are satisfied with the fight itself, they pay big money about it and it's just so they have the right to see and be entertained. Although it is a one sided beating, Haney shows different bag of tricks and it is very exciting to see him with that style against Loma.
1812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin made you a millionaire? on: October 19, 2022, 08:54:02 AM
I would say Ixinium, and to an extent bnb. I didn't exactly do a purchase of Ixinium, I participated in the bounty campaign and got quite a hefty amount because I was in the social media, Articles and Videos campaigns. The amount didn’t also run into millions of dollars, but it was my biggest crypto haul. This was back in 2020 when bounties were more profitable

Bounties and airdrops are profitable in the 2017 and early 2018. But if you are saying that you made a lot of money in that project then good for you.

I guess the early projects really made a lot of money, from Ethereum to Doge to BNB in 2018. This projects are solid in the beginning. But for me the project that brought me huge money, but not necessarily millionaire is ADA. I have been a long term investors of this project because I believed on Chris and he really delivered and up to know they are still very much active in developing the said project.
1813  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC energy use jumps 41% in 12 months, increasing regulatory risks on: October 19, 2022, 08:18:55 AM
Yeah, seems to me that the article is full of FUD and biased towards bitcoin mining and it's energy consumption. 41% jump in 12 months? LOL, that's absurd and it seems that they just spin this numbers to fit their narrative. And for sure those anti bitcoin mining proponents will used this article to point out the negative things that bitcoin can bring. Anyway, we know that this is not true and there are even worst industries that contributed more in the energy consumption as compare to bitcoin.
1814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: October 19, 2022, 08:03:07 AM
I thought DK Yoo is younger than Pacquiao, but both of them are in same age lol.

I read on some articles if DK Yoo is a Youtuber and also a martial arts trainer, but he doesn't have any professional boxing record. I expect this is easy fight for Pacquiao even though his skills is already declining, but DK Yoo isn't purely a boxer.

This fight still not listed on the bookies yet, I would bet this match is the odds for Pacquiao is worth to bet.

Yes, the Korean is somewhat a Youtube sensation because of his market arts, but it doesn't matter as they will be squaring in a boxing ring.

Pacquiao still got it though, he is just like a year from retirement, and he is very much active so I think he is still in great shape in this exhibition match. I also won't bet on this one, but others might and I don't blame them in making some money here.
1815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 18, 2022, 11:51:08 PM
Of course, there are players who are really not going to make it back to their former
glory with the new talent making their mark on the tour.

Next year it will be even more difficult for them as the younger players will have
become stronger and developed their games more.

Although we have seen Djokovic meaning a comeback and back to be number 1 after getting injured. I remember that he had a open letter or something after winning a grand slam or a tournament. And it took him sometime to recover and bounce back to his form. But probably his injury might not be as severe as Murray and so Djokovic is a "exception to the rule".

@Rabi3 - I do agree, some players you mentioned bring nostalgia to me, specially Wawrinka you really gave the big 3 a run during his prime years.
More young players line-up. Even at their 20's they're making big progress. This makes the senior players work more to give competence. It is the experience that helps them stay high, whereas with the young players the stamina and the injury free scenario keeps them moving high defeating popular players. Djokovic was able to make a recovery, but he can't continue with this for a long as the competence level is quite high compared to the past days of tennis.

I still think that Djokovic an still maintain his level against their young players, although he has lost his rankings to Alcaraz, but I still believed that Djokovic will have the advantage over other players, not just his superior skills but his approach and mentality towards the game.

I'm seeing Djokovic still winning at least 2 Grand Slams before his game really deteriorates like Federer and Nadal. But that will be his goal to become the winningest tennis player so he will look for it before retiring.
1816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Double Unification Fights: Shields vs Marshall / Mayer vs Baumgardner on: October 18, 2022, 11:35:03 PM
For Shields vs Marshall, there is a rematch clause as per Shields if I'm not mistaken, but it could only be activated if there is a controversial decision or split decision, but the decision of the judges is majority, so there is no rematch for this two ladies.

For Mayer vs Baumgardner, it's different though, not sure if there is a rematch clause, but it's controversial as one judges score it for Mayer. But it seems that Baumgardner doesn't want to give Mayer the rematch as she will chase Choi, which for me will not make her money like in a rematch with Mayer.
1817  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you be influenced by your favourite celebrity? on: October 17, 2022, 01:16:29 AM
Would you be influenced by your favourite Celebrity who you know gambles and one day happens to post the games he played, would you be influenced to play the same game?

It's my money anyway so I don't think that someone can influence me on where I'm going to put my bet regardless if the celebrity is as big as Drake him, which we might call a way although we now that him and Stake has a deal.

And I think even a beginner in gambling knows that, we should make our own decision in gambling.

It's that the amount of bet is too good to be true for the majority of us that it might have a effect on us. Nevertheless we know that Drake has a lot of money to burn because he can afford it.
1818  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: October 17, 2022, 12:57:12 AM
Even 168 seems to be few for Dmitry. He is a big guy by nature. I just cant imagine him being 168. Dmitry seems to be +85kg in off season and 79.4 (or 175lbs) on the scales. Dropping almost 10kg just to have a rematch? It is Canelo, who needs to gain weight and fight in 175, to rebuild reputation. Canelo needs to beat Dmitry "on Dmitry's field", to gain confidence and respect back. What is the point for Dmitry to cut, when it was Canelo who wanted to test himself in light heavyweight.
Yes, I think if there will be a rematch between Dmitry and Saul Alvarez it will be 175 lbs. Alvarez can definitely made 175 lbs easy, but Bivol will have problems making that weight.

And if I'm not mistaken, the first fight is 175 lbs so not sure why they need to change in the rematch unless Alvarez wants to take advantage of making Bivol life very difficult because he will have to squeeze his body to super middleweight.

And Canelo might be left hanging if he will suddenly decide to contest the fight at 168 lbs. because Bivol won't surely agree with that as in the first place, Canelo lost in 175 so it's expected to contest the rematch at the same weight. I'm not sure what is in their contract but I think Bivol has a right to deny a rematch if Canelo will active the rematch in super-middle.

I agree and I reckon that Canelo doesn't have the power to call the shots this time, he'll be lucky if Bivol will make some time for him because I think an undisputed fight in the light-heavyweight division will be the next thing to happen, but if Bivol will got defeated here, it will be Ramirez who will have the opportunity to fight Bob Arum's monster cow while Canelo won't have the appetite to fight Bivol because there's no title in the line anymore.

Canelo though is still the cash cow and for me, can still call the shots if he wants. But maybe he has respect to Bivol after he was defeated. And so it is still a good chance that Canelo will seek revenge to the persona against Bivol win or lose.

But Bivol has only a good option to fight Beterviev if the Canelo fight won't happen after his Ramirez win. And yes, this should be 175 lbs no doubt.

Canelo can still call the shots regardless of the result of this fight but he cannot demand because he is not in the A-side anymore, now he's the one chasing while Bivol is looking at him as a finished chapter. So, we will probably see it soon if these guys wants to have second dance. Before that, we should witness this explosive fight first.

I disagree though, Canelo will always be the A-side in his fight as what has been said he is the pound for pound and the cash cow. Yes, Bivol has the choice to walk out and not fight him, but in terms of money even if he fought Beterviev for unification, he will not get more money than fighting Canelo.

And his team knows this, maybe they will have some leverage in the second fight but it has been sealed already that there will be a rematch that Canelo can exercise and Bivol can't refused. And mostly the split has been included as well and for sure Canelo will still get the lion share of the split no matter what.
1819  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can i post satoshi posts in other forums here? on: October 17, 2022, 12:27:39 AM
Many have come forward and claim to be Satoshi, and they all have been proven to be fake or just riding on the popularity of that name. And with that, i doubt that suddenly we will find another one that is true to be Satoshi.

Again, there are a lot of conspiracies in the past but nothing has been proven yet.

So we should rest our case chasing Satoshi. Or for those who might claim to be one in the future, just look at the facts and then ignore them, simple as that.
1820  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin may drop to $15k or so but it'll definitely hit $300k+ in coming years on: October 16, 2022, 09:07:58 PM
That's just my thoughts. Maybe by 2024, unless all hell breaks loose.

As long as internet keeps chugging along though, BTC will prevail. Smiley

I love the idea of seeing the price going down to $15,000, at least gonna be another opportunity to stack up before everything blows up in 2024-2025.

However, I'm a bit skeptical of the $300,000 prediction mate. My prediction is around $150,000-$180,000 at least in the next bull run. But then again, when people thought that $20,000 is not achievable back in 2017 then suddenly we almost hit it, means that we can't really see what the future will hold for us here.
