After the failure of Terra, Luna and UST, it appears that some attention is again going back to Tether and USDT. The questions about the solvency of Tether will never stop until they go through an audit. If anyone really needs to hold a stablecoin, USDC might presently be the safest. Tether, the $74 billion stablecoin issued by Tether Holdings Limited, has faced increased scrutiny since the collpase of agorithmic stablecoin terrUSD that partly triggered a $1 trillion bitcoin, ethereum and crypto crash (with more pain thought to be on the way).
Now, a Barclays strategist has warned tether, which claims it has adequate reserves of U.S. dollars and dollar-equivalent assets to maintain its one-to-one dollar peg, could be hit by a price spiral if holders rush to sell it "quickly before its price falls even further."Source https://www.forbes.com/sites/billybambrough/2022/05/19/sudden-price-spiral-warning-issued-over-major-stablecoin-as-bitcoin-and-ethereum-bounce-from-crypto-crash-lows/Also, small amounts of Tethers being redeemed will be okay, however, redeeming it by the billions might become a problem because of the question on Tether's solvency. Institutional investors and whales might have begun redeeming their Tethers for dollars already. The marketcap is now less by around $9 billion which occurred only in the month of May. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.ibb.co%2FDQv4hm8%2F4-B5-D0-D8-D-79-FC-4347-ABBF-E9-BB461-D761-A.jpg&t=663&c=IkvWsjbTUurnrw)

Bitcoin has no future as a payments network because of its inefficiency and high environmental costs, according to one of crypto’s most influential chief executives.
I read the headline as : Sam Bankman-Fried has no future as an influencial chief executive according to Bitcoin. I mean seriously, anyone who is supposedly an influencial figure in crypto should at least understand what Bitcoin is becoming and that there is nothing standing in its way? Does he even take into consideration all the neverending upgrades that Bitcoin keeps going through or that Bitcoin can be scaled in two ways: the blockchain can be upgraded to enable greater throughput and additional networks, called layers, can be created to allow bitcoin to be transferred without directly using the blockchain. Which part of this is not scalable? And the high environmental costs is the argument I hate most. The problem is not the fact that it uses electricity but rather that our current way of generating electricity is extremely dirty and would be just as environmentally damaging even if Bitcoin was never invented. The solution? Green resources and new energy technology. This is why you can never trust a Bankman. He is just spreading FUD so he can fill his own pockets like the other fudders with too much fiat. Agreed. And being honest with everyone, I really thought Sam Bankman-Fried would be one of the ethical founders in the cryptospace. Through Alameda Research, he and his team might have been trading against the users much of the time since the beginning. There are rumors that he made a deal with Jump Capital involving a large percentage of Serum tokens to manipulate retail investors into losing in Luna and UST. I do not have the whole story, however, more details will be shared soon.

Of course it will have a effect on Devin Haney as his father has guided him to many fights and this is the biggest. Nevertheless he will have Yoel Judah to guide him, so for sure they have set up a game plan and have communicated everything that they need to do in this fight. As for the judges, I don't want to speculate, on it, everything is on Haney's hand if he doesn't want the fight goes to the judges decision. I change my pick for this fight hehe. I was watching some of Kambosos highlights and also some highlights of Haney. It appears Haney is not very good in using the philly shell. I reckon Kambosos' left hook after the double jab will be there for Haney's head when he leans to his side heheheeh. This fight might become unpredictable after round 3 with a small advantage for Kambosos. Also, Haney is only 23 years old. He might not take the stress of fighting in Australia very well without Bill Haney with him.

MINING OF BITCOIN:
This could be solved by investment and effort. It doesn't have to be a massive farm, they could start small by installing some solar panels and import some ASICs and get to mining bitcoin then slowly expand their business if they are good at managing money and their business. I've seen others do it in poorer countries with far more issues like Venezuela. Agreed! I reckon it might also be a much needed transformation for miners to progress from being more centralized, large mining farms to smaller, independent and decentralized mining hubs. The biggest cause of this transformation would be the increasing energy prices which have began already in Europe and other parts of the world. I speculate it will not stop there and it will only become worse. We should not deny the reality that this will certainly affect the cryptomining business. Larger Shocks Are Coming With Your Electrical energy Payments
Nearly unnoticed, regional ahead electrical energy contracts for late 2022 and, particularly, for 2023 have risen considerably over the previous few weeks, heralding additional utility invoice hikes. In some circumstances, ahead contracts have set document highs, having surged about 40% over the past two months.
To date in Might, the benchmark German one-year ahead electrical energy contract has averaged 222 euros ($235) per megawatt hour, heading towards its highest ever month-to-month degree, above the earlier document set final December at 207 euros per megawatt hour. Earlier than 2021, the best common for a similar benchmark contract was 83 euros in July 2008.Source https://easttip.com/larger-shocks-are-coming-with-your-electrical-energy-payments/

It's rare that I pay attention to this kind of stuff, this time of year. A lot of it is show and the ends are usually different than what's "rumored." A great example is the draft-time drama from the Niners and Deebo, the latest with that of course; they're working on a contract, lol. It appears you are correct. There is also this article which might only be trying to kill the hype on Trey Lance to lower everyone's expectations and reduce the backlash from the fans if he gives another bad performance. I am very skeptical of the sincerity of Chris Simms' criticism, he and Kyle Shannahan appear to be good friends and college buddies according to other articles. Chris Simms did not hold back with his NSFW assessment of Trey Lance during the NBC Sports NFL analyst's annual QB rankings.
Simms ranked the presumed 49ers starter at No. 31, only one spot ahead of Sam Darnold, two spots ahead of Geno Smith. Not exactly elite company.Source https://sports.yahoo.com/chris-simms-harsh-trey-lance-192635366.html

he still is one of the smartest founders in the cryptospace. He graduated in MIT, he created his own exchange from nothing and he is presently one of the biggest names.
Craig Scammer Wright is also a college graduate and has a PhD but that doesn't make him smart nor his statements right. Same with creating a website and a service that makes you more money! what is his agenda behind his statements?
In my experience they always want to push a "better" solution that ends up filling their pockets. He is one of the biggest donors in the Democratic National Convention and look at the picture, he is with Bill Clinton hehehe.
In other words a picture with an old dude who used to be somebody cost him a lot of money ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) You appear to be making an effort not to understand what is being implied. Similar to Craig Scammer Wright, who I reckon is only acting like he is a stupid person, has a deeper agenda behind the act. Be careful of this and the community should not be so arrogant to underestimate these dumb people. Sam Bankman-Fried is filling his pockets, yes and he will fill them more to use and expand his power and influence not only in the cryptospace, being one of the largest donors in the Democratic National Convention. Also, he who controls the markets, controls the world and the biggest powers behind the cryptospace are the largest centralized exchanges. This is why it is very important for the community to accept Defi as a development that can bring power back to the developers and the users.

@Fatunad. There is no see. I like Nonito Donaire, I am a fan of him and I reckon he is a much better boxer in style compared to Manny Pacquiao. If Donaire had the same speed, power and determination of Pacman, I reckon he would also certainly be a champion of many weight divisions. However, Inoue is clearly stronger than Donaire. I also posted before an exaggeration that Donaire will be knocked out and brought out of the ring on a stretcher hehe. It appears many people did not like this and I was not antagonizing anyone. This is only to express that Inoue will be very hard for Donaire. The odds for Inoue, however, is very bad for betting. Rounds betting might bet the only way to be this or Inoue with a knockout win.
Honestly, the majority of Filipinos already know and understand the distance between Naoya Inoue and Nonito Donaire. We are not ignoring the reality and facts that Inoue has all the advantages. However, it doesn't mean that Donaire can't pull an upset against the Japanese monster. I have to disagree with you that Donaire needs to have the same determination as Pacquiao. Is that even possible to have the same level of determination as other boxers? Obviously, a big no as different boxers has a different approach and inspiration for their own career. I also posted before an exaggeration that Donaire will be knocked out and brought out of the ring on a stretcher hehe. It appears many people did not like this and I was not antagonizing anyone.
Naoya Inoue was sent to the hospital right away after the fight as he received heavy damage from Donaire. The first time in his career. The first time for him to struggle in a match. That's the reason why upset is always possible to happen. There is certainly a chance for an upset, similar to the rematch I predicted in the UFC where Aljamain will win with a split decision versus Petr Yan. It occured as predicted because Sterling was very much underestimated by everyone. However, on this fight no one is underestimating Donaire. We accept that he has a chance, however, will it be a big chance? It certainly will not be as big as Sterling defeating Petr Yan. Also, Naoya Inoue is undefeated.

Begin learning and researching on which projects will survive this bear market. It is very clear that a bullish argument for good projects with good development teams have been made stronger today. After more dumps on the market are made, the investors will move more to seek value projects for holding than seek projects for short term and midterm trading and speculation.
Much of the projects in the market will never pump and never reach all time high again. However, there might be 5% of altcoin projects that are presently being prepared to create their all time highs when the market recovers. This is a market for investing in good development teams. The time of marketers and shills are over.

This is a misunderstanding, problem have been solved. We already did a signature campaign here which is obvisouly more expensive than 20$ without any issue.
It makes sense. First the issue was resolved. Second $20 is too small compares to budget of your campaign you are running. So it does not make sense if PlataOCrypto runs away with $20. Agreed. However it also showed which forum member PlataOCrypto should not be working with. The scam accusation post might have been a mistake created by the accuser. This issue is only about a $20 payment and a misunderstanding. It would have been resolved very easily in private between the 2 parties. It would have been the beginning of a working relationship and something to make extra money later if the accuser was much more patient.

From the founder who was pumping bitcoin to the scammer who has dumped everything he pumped hehe. Do Kwon will certainly go to prison for this. He is trying to fix the project by proposing a fork, however, the damage has been done. This cannot be fixed. It can only be fixed in the eyes for those investors who lost money if Do Kwon is convicted and to be banned from making new projects. The collapse of the tokens linked to the Terra ecosystem, stablecoin terraUSD (UST) and Luna (LUNA), has led to some major investors coming clean and detailing their losses. Two more backers of Terra are disclosing exactly how their balance sheets have been affected.
Publicly, Hashed has said that it is “financially sound” and Hashed Ventures hasn't been affected by the crisis.
All in all, Hashed’s losses amount to over $3.5 billion using pricing data from early April. Local media in South Korea report that more than 200,000 investors in the country hold Terra-related tokens.Source https://www.coindesk.com/markets/2022/05/19/terra-backers-delphi-digital-and-hashed-lick-their-wounds-after-ust-and-luna-collapse/There are also startups that have began scamming their own customers for UST yields in Anchor hehehe. Yikes. @stablegains took USDC and USD via wire from customers promising them 15%, put it all into Anchor without telling them, and skimmed 4% off the top. They have now changed the denominations in their app from USD to UST and are nuking the landing page & old terms.
These guys are in deep trouble - they lost about $42m in funds from 4,878 customers and probably have no way to pay it back (they're a small startup) because they went all in on Anchor's invincibility. Conviction bets are great, but not when toying with people's savings.Source https://mobile.twitter.com/fatmanterra/status/1527153694218797058?s=12&t=i0uLuE5dnP0wxx9wTxDuewThe government of South Korea has brought back their special financial crimes unit to investigate Terra. It appears that the proposed Luna fork might only be something for Do Kwon to make it appear that he is trying to fix the damage. Earlier today, the de-pegging of UST was taken all the way to the National Assembly’s Political Affairs Committee at a plenary meeting. I think the journalist took his comment out of context and they used that to spread FUD. ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) How nice will it be for these journalists with a hidden agenda to steer a conversation in a direction, where you are forced to say something that might be used against you. ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) When you want to take down an organization or a movement, you start from the top and you take down their leaders. This might have been planned or it is just some people with a hidden agenda that are nitpicking certain statements to push their agenda. ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Example : Journalist : Do you think Bitcoin use a lot of electricity.. Guest : Yes...... bla bla bla Journalist : Does the high electrical use of Bitcoin mining, influence it's future ...... The guest must navigate a minefield to say or respond to the question that has limited exits ....because it was a loaded question. ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) I would agree on most occassions, however, not in this interview because what Sam Bankman-Fried is implying agrees with mainstream media's agenda against cryptocoins like bitcoin. Those clarification statements Sam tweeted were made after the backlash from the community. However, I agree with what he said about bitcoin, but I am skeptical of his agenda in why and in the way he said them. There was an interview with Sam Bankman-Fried before where he said that the next Bitcoin will be Solana. This man is one of the most intelligent people in the cryptospace. He knows the difference between bitcoin and proof of stake altcoins but he declares Solana will become the next Bitcoin because it can make thousands of transactions per second? What is the agenda hehehehe. The next Bitcoin has to be a blockchain with the potential to process thousands of transactions per second. Since the Solana blockchain can process 50,000 transactions per second, Sam Bankman-Fried sees potential in SOL becoming the next Bitcoin.
Influential investors are bullish on Solana, contributing to a rise in the altcoin’s adoption. In a recent interview with Kitco, Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) lauded Solana for the protocol’s ability to scale to millions of transactions per second. The FTX CEO said that it makes Solana an integral part of cryptocurrency adoption and the next Bitcoin.Source https://www.fxstreet.com/cryptocurrencies/news/ftx-founder-sam-bankman-fried-believes-that-solana-can-be-the-next-bitcoin-202111270618

I think Sam Bankman-Fried is one of the most intelligent founders in the cryptospace, Sam Bankman-Fried, founder of the digital asset exchange FTX, said the proof of work system of validating blockchain transactions,
This very "intelligent" person doesn't still know that proof of work has nothing to do with validating transactions ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) In any case I'm very curious about what alternative he is supporting and whether his centralized exchange is introducing yet another centralized shitcoin like their counterparts that is supposedly "better than bitcoin"... Whatever mistake he might have said in describing proof of work, he still is one of the smartest founders in the cryptospace. He graduated in MIT, he created his own exchange from nothing and he is presently one of the biggest names. This is why despite being one of the smartest, what is his agenda behind his statements? He is one of the biggest donors in the Democratic National Convention and look at the picture, he is with Bill Clinton hehehe. Also, after the backlash from the interview, his PR team did very well in creating his statements for him to clear his stance. He should pay them more Solana and FTT hehehehe.

Lot of talks around Charles Oliveira now, Joe Rogan thinks he was screwed at UFC 274 with that decision, and Daniel Cornier thinks Oliveira could bring back Kahbib from retirement, but I doubt this will happen. Guys don't forget to make predictions for upcoming UFC Vegas 55 event, participate in Multi Master Challenge and win some free bets from Sportsbet: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5399245.0Joe Rogan was skeptical that the digital weighing scale that fighters use before their real weigh in was tampered. We cannot be certain if this is true, however, similar to what I have said before, Charlie Olives did not have problems with weight before the fight. He was on weight according to the digital weighing scale he used. During a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan gave his thoughts on Oliveira missing weight before UFC 274.
“He’s a very, very nice guy, and he got screwed in his last fight,” Rogan said of Oliveira. “There was some shenanigans with the scale. Some people messed with the scale. Here’s a problem these digital scales, foreign fighters- they use kilograms. And in America, obviously, we use pounds, right… So, these scales are calibrated and then the foreign fighters would reset the scale so they could switch it back to kilograms. So it fu*ked up the whole calibration. And so he would weigh in the night before the weigh-ins, and he was like, ‘oh, I’m good to go.’ And then in the morning, he goes and shows up for the weight cut and it’s a pound plus off and that is directly related to this calibration issue.”Source https://www.mmanews.com/2022/05/rogan-echoes-helwanis-take-on-charles-oliveira-being-screwed-at-ufc-274/It appears no one is talking about the biggest underdogs for this fight card hehehehehe. @Boafeng, @bisdak and other boxing fans and experts in this thread. It appears Devin Haney's father who is also his head trainer has not been given a visa to enter to Australia and he will not be in Devin's corner for the fight. How much will this negatively impact Devin Haney's performance in the ring? Is there now presently an argument to bet on the underdog who is also fighting in front of his own country? On a more skeptical question, will the judges in Australia judge this in favor of Kambosos if the fight is very close? Devin Haney hits the road for the biggest fight of his young career without his primary team in tow.
Travel plans for the WBC lightweight titlist will not include the company of his father and head trainer, Bill Haney who was not permitted to go through customs for their trip to Australia. The elder Haney was denied entry due to a prior conviction holding up his visa application, forcing Devin Haney to literally fly solo en route to Melbourne ahead of his June 5 undisputed lightweight championship clash with lineal/WBA/IBF/WBO champ George Kambosos Jr.Source https://www.boxingscene.com/bill-haney-not-permitted-travel-australia-yoel-judah-lead-devin-haneys-corner-kambosos-fight--166321

Similar to what Boafeng speculated on insider trading, which should in reality not be a speculation, this news article shows that there were insiders who might be the first to receive the news on what was happening behind Luna and UST. Joey Krug might be saying that the market has been frothy, however, they might have been one of the first to be informed that Do Kwon was moving bitcoin from Terra's treasury to the exchange to defend the peg. Also, Pantera's node and other insiders' nodes became offline during the depegging Pantera Capital, one of the high-profile backers of Terraform Labs, cashed out nearly 80% of its Terra (LUNA) investment well before TerraUSD (UST) collapsed last week.
"The market has been fairly frothy over the last year and thus we'd exited the majority of our position before any of this happened," Joey Krug, co-chief investment officer at Pantera Capital, told The Block. "Roughly 80% over the last year, fairly gradually over time."Source https://www.theblockcrypto.com/post/147668/terra-pantera-capital-cashed-out-80-investment-before-ust-crash

It looks like the trading volume on pancakeswap is only $57, and there have only been 2 transactions in the last 24 hours. Obviously, it's very weak data, and you're right that Fairspin should promote the TFS token more aggressively. As an option, listing on any popular centralized exchange could significantly pump the price of the TFS token, given the low market cap.
I don't want to sound like a FUDster, but I am going to be realistic, What's the point of the TFS token? What advantage does it have over the likes of Bitcoin. Ethereum, Doge, LTC or Solana? So many casinos or projects create tokens that have no real advantage (except make for them more money) or use case, and they end up dumping just like any other token over the past years. You're not being a fudster. You are bringing a good argument. Similar to you, however, on the other side of the argument, I do not want to sound like a shill because I am in Fairspin's signature campaign. But I have argued for tokenization before and why they have become necessary for many projects in the cryptospace as protection. In Defi projects issuing tokens has become a necessity because if they do not do this, another development team can fork the project and issue a token with it. Tokenization has become a very important tool in community creation, community and developer incentives and for the project's growth. Tokenization, NFT and stablecoins issuance will be the next big development in cryptospace gambling sites.

Pretty soon basketball season will be over and then it’s just baseball, at least for those of us who are in the United States, my point being I miss football and can’t wait for it to start up. Just curious who you guys top targets are for next year in fantasy, any guys you plan on targeting ?
For the next season I will pick the best players available in front of me and I will not try to be too smart and not try to do much research about making the picks. I was lucky to pick Ekeler first over Nick Chubb because of it or was it because someone picked Chubb before me and I picked Ekeler randomly hehe. Which proves that pick anyone in front of you will work. If the draft was today, I'd pick all players whose last names start with a "B", that's how much I currently know about who's who in the NFL... I have some catching up to do. Yes, Goat Brady. I hope I get him first again hehehehe. Justin Herbert is my other choice. However, there might be an argument for Dak Prescott.
