2741  Economy / Exchanges / Re: "False crypto exchange traffic volume?" on: April 12, 2020, 05:37:50 PM
The real question that I keep asking myself is, how are they paying taxes? I mean surely if they make their website look like there is a ton of trade going on, that should mean they are also making a ton of profit as well right? Since more trades equals more trading fee which means the exchange should have higher revenue, at least on paper. So, when it comes down to paying taxes, does nobody from taxing branch of that nation take a look at that exchanges trading volume?

I mean if they are saying there is 1 million dollars worth of trade to taxes but they are faking their volume to 50 instead, then taxing branch should ask you are telling people 50, why are you telling us 1. That would actually solve a lot of the fake volumes since those places will be scared to pay the tax they claim their volume is, instead of the real one.

In one page you guys showed an amazing support quality, literally answered everyone back to back and within couple hours at most as well and this is on bitcointalk only, I am sure you are getting many others from the website itself as well.

About the cold wallet thingy, as long as you do not allow just one person to control all of it and separate the keys, you could basically still have anyone checking it per hour or whatever as well, or you can install an alarm to your own hot wallet so if it gets lower than a certain amount it will notify you and you can just go get some from the cold wallet that way, this would eliminated the need to check constantly and you can simply just keep on doing other stuff and not really check once or twice a day but only check when it is needed.

2743  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com | Crypto Powered Sportsbook and Casino | 🎰 🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🎾 🥊 🎲 on: April 11, 2020, 09:46:20 PM
Hello guys!
I'm a little bit shocked about situation that happened to me a few minutes ago on stake.com

I'm new at stake.com and today wanted to start play more with them.
I had about 950 TRX in my balance and placed 2 live bets on Sportbook.
When I came back after a few minutes to place one more bet I saw that my balance is too low....
My balance should be about 640 TRX (300 TRX and 20 TRX in game) but there is 2.5 TRX  Angry

I checked my account history and there are a lot of games played in "dice" that I never opened at stake.com
Exactly 284 bets set to 0.03 wining chance that I never placed! It all happened within 1 minute!

This is quite scary, I didn't know people could somehow gamble with your account, I would assume withdrawing is more of a plausibility because after all they would want your money and you may get hacked and your money could be withdrawn to somewhere else, however the fact that someone can't really login to withdraw but can somehow remotely reach it to gamble really scares me. Why would they do that? What do they gain from me gambling on dice many times until I lose all my money if they are doing something like that?

I mean they are not getting the money, stake is getting the money for all we know, so why would they want to do something like that? I am smelling some rotten fish here and I do not want to point fingers but this sounds like a serious trouble.
2744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bad projects equals Bad results on: April 10, 2020, 07:28:09 PM
This makes me remember Tokoin and tachyon protocol bounty campaign, after hunters are paid they made huge profits from this bounties and still the value are rising and not dumped, so my question is why are other bounties getting ruined after launch? Or after hunters sell their rewards? Probably because they are bad projects, hunters aren't to be blame here isn't it? Good projects will never dumped because hunters sell off
You shouldn’t be blaming the hunters here. That Tokoin and Tachyon are successful projects doesn’t mean that the hunters didn’t sell their coins, they did sell their coin. You have to understand that when bounty hunters join a campaign they are doing it to get paid and not to get a share in the campaign. They help in promoting the campaign so that they can get investors. So, hunters promote and investors buy the tokens.

These are two different people. The team that are running the campaign should as well be good at what they do to be able to retain their investors, because if they are not, they will lose them. So I hope I have made this clear, there is no need for you to be blaming the hunters in this kind of situation.
2745  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔶 YOLOdice.com 🔶 INVESTING BTC, LTC and DOGE is OPEN NOW on: April 10, 2020, 06:31:15 PM
The commission used to be 35% of the profit before, but honestly since it was tied to the profit, it was quite unstable for us - most of the costs are wager-based. I think what we have now is a better solution.

I also hope that that the real site profit will be higher than expected 1%. In such case all the extra profit goes to investors. On the other hand, you are right - when players win the commission is still taken.

Cheers,
Ethan
Yeah this one looks a lot better and sustainable, considering you guys probably thought this over during this pandemic times it shows that you really considered all the possibilities that it could go wrong and decided that you trust people losing more money than the house average so you wouldn't really go bankrupt this time when you are giving all the profits instead.

With an house edge percentage on the wagering you are both making sure that you are giving people less than the expected house edge average but also if someone loses more you are going to be profiting from it, all of which would obviously go to defending the people who will earn more than the house edge but in the long term I suspect they can't be all that much, after all there is a reason why its said that "house always wins".
2746  Economy / Gambling / Re: Proof that Freebitco.in game is not provably fair. on: April 09, 2020, 05:16:50 PM
While it is unlikely I don't see it as being impossible. It's kind of like losing a bunch of hands in bj. Sure it's highly unlikely to lose that many rolls in a row, but I'm sure a major amount or rolls every day are done on the site that would make abnormalities like this happen possibly.
He just haven't realized that even getting 100times red in a row is a normal thing in gambling especially if you do the martingale, sayonara.

And you know what you can get 5 green in a row on 30x multiplier! I've experienced it. Isn't it sounds like unfair?
Unfortunately that's gambling.
This is basically the proof that some people still don't know what the odds are and what they mean. A 50% is a 50% and there is nothing changing that at all. You can gamble 10000 times and lose 10000 times and the next one still will be 50% chance to win and not suddenly lower because you had so many losses in a row.

Previous bets do not have anything to do with the future bets, all bets are individual and they should be seen and gambled that way. Of course, you would expect to win after certain time because 50% is half the chance to win equal chance to lose so you would think eventually you would win, but that doesn't have to happen just because you wish that to happen.

even though I haven’t manually checked those numbers, but theres no doubt in my mind that all those stats provided by them here are true. Also they were able to get these many bets because of their smart marketing strategy, wherein instead of one big competition they kept on announcing small competitions and those small competitions got them rich dividends.
Yes, it is normal that there could be some sort of increase in gambling nowadays, after all we are all stuck at home (god bless people who are still working outside) and that means we get to gamble a lot more whenever we are bored, hell right now on one computer I am doing my work, on PS4 there is a game open, and on the other laptop I opened some youtube video for the laughs and giggles.

Honestly I can't say I am doing all three at the same time exactly but I take turns, like do my work for a while, when it calms down start the youtube video and the game, when there is a work just pause the game and so forth so forth. Basically windice might be getting a surge in numbers but that doesn't really mean that its windice that got it, could it be? Sure but it doesn't directly mean that right away.
2748  Economy / Gambling / Re: MintDice – Bitcoin Casino With Online Slots, Bitcoin Crash & Bitcoin Investment on: April 07, 2020, 06:53:13 PM
^^ I doubt a single person hacking attempt is really all that profitable for the hackers which is why I doubt they would really work too hard on something like that. I am not saying its impossible, if they figure out one guy has enough money to make it worth I would agree that hacking just one account is a lot easier to do than hacking the whole casino, however hacking the whole casino is difficult because it also gives you access to whole hot wallet of that casino compared to just one persons money on their account, no one person has enough money to actually worth more than the hot wallet (I suppose). Could what you said happen? Sure there is the possibility, is it really plausible? I would say not so much, the whole casino is still a bigger target for the hackers if you ask me.
2749  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your Satoshi theory? Deceased or alive & well on: April 07, 2020, 08:00:14 AM
I don’t like saying he’s dead, maybe because I don’t want him dead lol. The idea that he is dead is not something that I like to hear, I just imagine that he’s someone that doesn’t care about being in public eyes; being famous and all that, he just prefers to stay in the secret. Maybe he’s one of the few that are very different from the rest of us, the type that doesn’t even like flexing the things he has and showing.

So let’s just let him be, if he prefers to stay on the low, then we should allow him and stop trying to dig him up. He made it clear that he has decided to move on and hand everything over to someone else and that’s exactly what he did. If he wanted to come back, I believe he would have done so by now.
2750  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The first BTC ATM in Nigeria on: April 07, 2020, 06:56:09 AM
Really good to know they have set up a Bitcoin ATM in Nigeria. When there are lots of good things like these happening there, I believe that more people will be convinced to try out Bitcoin and see how it works. I can remember that the last time I saw someone asking about if there are any Bitcoin ATM in Nigeria there was none there. They should try to set up more of that in their different states so that more people can have access to it, and not just in one state.

One other thing you have to know is that Bitcoin doesn’t change the situation of a country. If the really do have a bad government, then it is up to them to stand and fight for themselves. When it’s time to vote they should come and vote out the bad leaders and always protest against bad things that the government do. That’s if they have the mind to.
2751  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would You Rent A Car With Bitcoin? on: April 07, 2020, 05:36:35 AM
Hi guys, I'm working in the travel industry and recently found some global online travel agencies such as EasyRentCars start getting into crypto payments. I wonder how many crypto owners would be more interesting to purchase the service if the company accepts cryptocurrency? Would that be an effective feature?
Any business that wants to be successful shouldn’t just be accepting cryptocurrency as a payment method, because there might be people who may want to make use of their services but due to they don’t make use of cryptocurrency they will not make use of the company.

But, if the car renting company is accepting several payment methods and also accepting Bitcoin and then letting their customers to know that they are accepting Bitcoin, as time goes on some of the customers might be interested in trying out Bitcoin. So don’t just accept on Bitcoin, accept other payment methods as well, and the most important thing is the kind of services you’re offering, if it’s excellent, then you will get lots of customers.

Get a job, earn good money, and donate $2k,

Many countries allow people to donate then claim tax back and that is added also.   Anyone paying 40% taxes or something horrible like that can then in addition of prior tax give a considerable amount via government schemes.   It does require them to be a registered charity but most are, Red Cross is a good general one I think.
Get a good job and donate 2k is not really an option in many many nations of the world. You might do something like that if you are in USA, in big nations of Europe it could be done as well, not really all that possible even in many parts of Europe neither but UK, France, Germany type of places could do something like that, still a hard challenge but doable. However when it comes to Asia, Africa and Latin America we are talking about money that could literally be a years worth of salary.

If you think 2k dollar is not someones salary I would advice you to check nations salaries, there are some nations with that, and most of them it is 1/3, 1/4 of what a salary is. Which goes to show you that even 100 satoshi donation we want to do should be available because not many can afford too much.

I am pretty sure whenever you need a new participant to your signature campaign, you can simply make a new post and start from there, if you still have some people you are working with just add them there as well as in already there instead of hiring, and just add the new people on top of that.

I know this will make it harder because you already had one and it is sad to see it archived and the feeling of starting all over again may not be all that good however think of it as a chance to improve the topic and go bigger and better. Plus, nowadays everyone hires a campaign manager anyway, you can simply just pay a dude to make the topic and run it with total control and you would be just checking on what they do instead of actually doing anything yourself.
2754  Economy / Speculation / Re: HODL HODL HODL...AND BUY MORE on: April 05, 2020, 09:32:28 AM
Unfortunately, there are too many people who do not realize that if you go in with high expectations of getting rich you are not going to get rich, you will panic sell. There was a kid I was talking the other day, he is a college student and very young, he didn't had too much money and he said what could happen if he put 100 dollars into bitcoin right now and then 50 bucks every month after that. I said you would either have 100% profit or 50% loss in the end but that is about it if you are planning on just investing and waiting.

Bitcoin could be 15k, or maybe 30k who knows, but that 100 dollars can maximum be 500 dollars at most, nothing more, 99% chance it won't even be that much, and the lowest it would be probably is 50 bucks. He was thinking he could be rich with 100 dollar investment if bitcoin became millions... if you invest into bitcoin thinking it will be millions of dollars per bitcoin one day, you will be disappointed.
2755  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can the market stand this trial on: April 05, 2020, 08:54:44 AM
Do you guys know really why people say "wait" when they are talking about the price going up in price? I don't know the exact reason, I can't tell you why waiting is the best thing to make a profit in bitcoin, not a concrete data that I can show you.

However I have one assumption, it is because bitcoin is volatile, we can be 3k or 11k and anything in between for the next 6 months for example, by September or so we could once again drop and go up and drop and go up. It means if you buy from any price that is not super high, like 20k during 2017 or something, eventually you will probably get profit, maybe it will take 6 months but you will get a profit since it goes up AND down so you can lose some money if you are unlucky but if you wait you can turn it into profit.
2756  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are calling projects as scam when they are in a bear market? on: April 05, 2020, 08:08:41 AM
Well, there are a ton of people who have talked with others about a project and everyone is usually quite hyped about it before it is released, or maybe even after it is released. As soon as they realize that they are not going to profit from it like they talked about, but they will also lose money because of it, they start to call it a scam because they feel like they were tricked.

Now, there is no scam in some of them, the team works on it, they are improving it, but sometimes community just decides to sell and when one sells and drops the price others follow and suddenly you have a huge drop in the price and everyone calls it a scam, why? Because some people sold.... In the end all we can do is just watch them do that, not that we can change peoples opinions that easily.
2757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto changes. on: April 05, 2020, 06:32:59 AM
It is already above 6.5k again, we are talking about like a small 10% change and that is honestly happens in bitcoin world without corona as well.

We literally raised from 7k to 10k before corona happened, if we consider 7k price as the start right now we are about 3% or so off from the year to date price, a small 3%, we have increased over 20% this year as well, so as you can see there is a huge volatility going around in bitcoin with or without corona, everything affects it, sometimes there is nothing affecting yet still changes, bitcoin just moves up and down without really caring about anything or anybody.

Just be patient and in the end you will definitely get a profit, buy from here if you can, buy lower if you can, and just wait around until it goes back up because it eventually will go back up.
2758  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is better than Holding on: April 04, 2020, 09:04:19 PM
People are forgetting that there are different levels of trading skill that is involved and not everyone has the same level. Some people are so great at what they are doing that they literally do leverage trading on minutes with high leverage and they use bots to trade with working towards the spread as well.

So, that is something you can't really do unless you are very very skilled at what you do, a newbie can only try to understand what you are talking about let alone even try to do it. However what a newbie can do is buy 100 dollars per month, that way you are both increasing your bitcoin amount and also do not get hurt by the ups and downs of the price changes. Simply everyone has to react to bitcoin the way they know how, everyone has their own pace.
2759  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which is Best Trading or Freelancing? on: April 04, 2020, 08:16:39 PM
Well, I have always believed that bitcoin should be earned and spend instead of bought and sold, which means I do suggest freelancing more than trading for sure. Because, in reality why does the price of bitcoin drops? Because there are people who sell it and turn it into fiat currency. What happens when people stop selling it and start using it, you buy your bread, you buy your meat, you pay your bills even pay your rent with it?

Well, in that case people will have more reasons to use it and not sell it, when people stop selling it the price of bitcoin will automatically increase. That is why freelancing is great, however it should not end there, people who instead of selling their coins prefer to pay the freelancers is one step, those freelancers should be able to spend it as well.

Our winner for today is @nuuuitsjdragon!!
Congratulations, keep an eye out on Stake for your prize 🤑
Honestly the prize for this one looks huge, maybe not so much to people who already have a lot of money, but to consider that this is for free and its a giveaway, it is a HUGE amount. I wish I had talent for stuff like this so I could join up as well but I literally have zero photoshop skills so I will leave it to people who are much better than me to try their best and just enjoy the results and check who won and so forth.

Do you will try to bypass the ban?
About the VPN thing, you can literally get a specialized IP if you want from a private VPN, it costs money but they will do a unique one for you and if you get banned or something you can pay for another one and they will create another unique one for you, simple as that. Using that method you can go around doing whatever you want without a fear of getting banned. Seriously illegal, but they do it anyway.
