2761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 0 confidence in how the Cryptopia madness is being handled? See this on: May 27, 2019, 03:41:45 AM
If authorities could not do a thing to a project, what would individuals do? Hire a Hitman? If you are really victim of the suspicious closure of the exchange, you should help in ongoing investigation rather than asking for funds to star your own.
If you really hold any credibility and has access to jurisdiction of cryptopia, you should prove yourself first.
You can't expect to achieve something being cryptier than cryptopia
2762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook will issue "GlobalCoin" before 2020 - What do you think about this? on: May 27, 2019, 03:21:05 AM
It would be a step forward for Facebook.
Facebook is losing a lot of users from it's platform because of privacy issue and it's being greedy. Tokenizing the platform would at least solve some problems like rewarding the content creators.
2763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Cricket World Cup - Discussion & Analysis on: May 27, 2019, 03:18:43 AM
There can be any winners.
The poorest of the team in the tournament seems to be Sri Lanka. They are stuggling to perform. Pakistan and India are also not in their great form. Bangladesh would perform better but I don't think they have chances reaching the finals. Afghanistan is the dark horse but can't expect them to reach finals.

Sorry if my arrival was unexpected, I just came to help fix a signature that exceeded character and fix it quickly.

I only removed a few characters and that was good enough, there was no link that I changed.

Updated the new signature. It works now.

Payment confirmed. Signature updated.

Edit: The signature are larger than limits by some characters for legendary members. making it

could solve. For now I'm using bitly shortner.
2766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stable coin on: May 26, 2019, 12:12:39 AM
Pls I'd like to be enlightened on the importance of stable coin in the crypto space... I hear Facebook coin will be a stable currency... what are the use of stable coins??

Stable coin's price would be fixed with any fiat currency in circulation. It would make it's price highly stable. Being stable in price, users can anytime convert it into fiat of vice versa without have to deal with the exchange rates.
As for why do we need stablecoin, fiat currency is troublesome to transact digitally and moreover troublesome to transact internationally. One of the reasons facebook is having trouble getting advertisement is the payment processor integrated in it are not supported worldwide.
2767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Robinhood opened 7 electronic currency transactions for New York users on: May 25, 2019, 04:43:17 PM
Robinhood has been aggressively increasing in size in some parts of world like USA. Their interest bearing wallet are quite popular and are competitor to bitfinex and poloneix in that sector. Their terms are easier than bitfinex and mostly have better rates than it.
2768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what is the "real" bitcoin, "Satoshi vision",... on: May 25, 2019, 03:12:41 PM
you have probably heard these terms before, but what is the "real" bitcoin?
Bitcoin is not what some site like bitcoin.com or bitcoin.org or reddit,... says is bitcoin! Bitcoin is definition of a payment network that has certain characteristics and principles that make it "Bitcoin". if one of those stops being true, then bitcoin is no longer going to be bitcoin.
so lets review two of these principles:

A decentralized network based on majority's decision using proof of work
in other words the 1 CPU 1 vote that Satoshi Nakamoto mentions in his bitcoin paper in 2008 titled Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System.
as a result when more than 95% of the network is doing one thing, and you do something else, you would be considered an altchain with an altcoin.

Irreversible transactions and immutable blockcahin
this is the second most important principle after decentralization. it simply states that when your transaction is in a block, nobody should be able to reverse it. this has always been true for bitcoin due to its decentralized network and distribution of mining in a way that nobody controls enough hash power that can pull a 51% attack.
but when 1 miner can easily decide to reverse a transaction that he doesn't like it shows centralization of that chain + its lack of immutability and as a result it is no longer a cryptocurrency let alone be "real bitcoin".

You are providing the truth but with wrong example.
The discussion about which one is the real bitcoin chain is fairly simple, the one decided by (majority of miners). That's the only and valid reason.
Bitcoincash miners came together to undo an profit made by an attacker. It's not just a miner but all miners in two of it's largest pools. They did it because they were sure it's for the good of Bitcoincash. It does not mean bitcoincash is centralised.
2769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you prefer? Sportsbet or casino on: May 25, 2019, 03:03:58 PM
how do you play gambling? What is your purphase? Earning money or spending time ?

Gambling is quick. Sportsbetting too is fun when you are genuinely interested in sports.
But if you really want to make money, using a martingale in sportsbet would yield you much higher than using one in dice but most people doesn't have patience to wait days before they gamble.
2770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: HAVE YOU EVER MET ANY SUCCESSFUL GAMBLER on: May 25, 2019, 03:01:56 PM
I have heard stories of many but have never personally met anyone of them.
I've heard the most successful gambler do live a luxurious life with gambling. They know how to beat the house. They stay in a tax heaven and whenever they go gambling, they come with a new identity, win and never visit that place again. They just buy another passport and visit another country to gamble next time.
2771  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US vs China Trade War: Bitcoin Next Victim? on: May 24, 2019, 05:43:22 PM
US empire looks like its going to wipe out Chinas flagship tech company Huawei. The Chinese crypto technology and exchanges are going to be in the firing line at some point. I'm guessing get thatcrypto out and onto the blockchain is a safer bet than letting it sit in an exchang right now

Trade wars has actually benefited cryptocurrencies. With companies unable to trade directly with banking system, they'll do so with crypto.
There are many companies in between Huawei and US tech companies that would benefit from the indirect trade fueled by bitcoin and crypto.
Trade embargo has always paved new roads for crypto.
2772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CORRECT ME ON THIS PLEASE. on: May 24, 2019, 05:14:43 PM
Many times i have seen people use HOLDLER for people who are keeping their coin for future while some use the term HOLDER. please which of the 2 is the right term used in cryptocurrency slang.

It's actually holder. But a user in this forum drunk typed a post and said hodl in place of hold. As holder is for hold, so is hodler is for hodl.
It became so popular that the world hodl got into english dictionary. The one who holds the currencies or stocks they buy in hope of rising in price some day are called hodler.

Here's the link where the word hodl was coined. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=375643.0
2773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what's your view of BTC stable while altcoin pumpin? on: May 24, 2019, 02:21:12 PM
In the past few days, btc has been hovering around 7800 usd, and all the altcoins have begun to rise. What is the reason for this?

Such things happen for a shorter time. Bitcoin always leads on change on every bull and bear market and as its price gets stable, rapid change starts in altcoins. One of the reasons for it might be the bitcoin acting as the main currency pair. When bitcoin is increasing, people don't buy alts with bitcoin but while it gets stable, they start buying altcoins and vice versa.
2774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BBC - Facebook to launch Globalcoin in 2020 on: May 24, 2019, 02:18:52 PM
This would be another leap forward for cryptocurrency. Facebook has realized crypto is the future and want's to be the first tech giant to connect it's users with crypto. But as some of the oppressive authorities are against the use of Crypto, Facebook is diversifying and moving out it's operation and as the article states this would be released only to a limited number of countries. Which I suppose would be crypto friendly ones.
2775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happened with telegram TON ICO ?? on: May 24, 2019, 01:58:51 PM
Telegram TOn ( Gram TOken) which raised huge amount in ICO as far i knew they raised 850 million in first round agian in second round also same even after this much fund raise . I don't see any progress . This kind of ICO's really ruining crypto funds . People are loosing belief on Crypto Currency .

AFAIK, they had a private ICO where selected private investors made investment on the token while they haven't come up with public offering as of yet.
As the token is still not implemented on the telegram app and no news about it, it could have been cancelled and the funds returned to the private investors privately. Still we'd be loving social app like Telegram issuing a token through ICO.
2776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Petition to remove Craig Wright's name from Bitcoin Whitepaper's copyright on: May 24, 2019, 01:53:17 PM
the copyright office already said these issues are disputed in the courts; it's not their problem. they just keep records when people register copyrights.

Exactly. They're not going to remove or revoke the copyright just because a good number of people that submitted their email on a website wants to. That's simply not how stuff works as far as I know, especially when talking about things that involves the government.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

the only way that this can work is if the person whose identity is being stolen or copyright's infringed, to step forward and file a complaint with US copyright office indicating that his work and identity is being stolen by an imposter. and we all know Satoshi has remained anonymous for whatever reason and he will never come out for something this small.

And satoshi is highly unlikely to do that. But there are still many ways the authorities can research about the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto or at least find impostors and make them pay for their fake claims. Whatever people may claim at the moment, time would make their hype disappear while the true legend would always remain a legend.
2777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why is Binance Coin a good choice to HOLD? on: May 24, 2019, 01:05:13 AM
Kiss First, BNB has the advantage of being a coin master of the exchange. And the crypto trading floor is the project that has the longest living ability, compared to other utility token projects.
Kiss Second, Binance Coin itself has proved to be safe (safe heaven) after many adjustments of crypto market, although it cannot match Bitcoin and Teether (USDT).
Kiss Third, the Binance Coin is also the leading coin when it is possible to reduce not much during the time when the market adjusts, and increases the fastest when the market recovers. Stock Traders in the stock market always prefer the leading stock like this.

So what about you?  Wink

Fourth Binance has a limited supply, with periodic buy back and burn, the supply is ever decreasing.
Fifth the use of binance coin is on the rise. It reduces the fees in binance exchange from 0.1% to 0.05% while it's the gas for Binance DEX where BNB is a necessity.

So, BNB is a precious token to hold. At least until Binance reigns the war of exchanges.
2778  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IRS Plans to Issue Guidance on CryptoCurrency Taxation on: May 23, 2019, 09:57:24 PM
This would make things easier. Anonymous cryptocurrency has shown us a lesson that humans are not capable of using unregulated value tokens.
So, we need regulation and for that they need to tax. But if they just taxed on our profit but did nothing to save the money of the investors, it would again be another scam.
2779  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Telecom giant AT&T to accept bitcoin for payment on: May 23, 2019, 09:41:11 PM
This is a good news for cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.
Crypto accepting platforms like Bitpay, Coinpayments and Coinbase had made it easier for merchants to accept crypto as a payment.
It increases the option for payments for the users whiles requires very less work on the merchant side but increases the user base dramatically.
I hope Google and Apple would too follow the way and integrate such service in their app store.
2780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO is popular, what do you think? Will you participate? on: May 23, 2019, 02:05:13 PM
The coin market ieo has turned the speculative coin into gambling. No matter whether the project is good or not, no one cares about it. The bear market project can't be used for money. Now, let's make a way. You can participate in the appointment, and then give you a few times the increase in the exchange. People may be able to earn some money. The secondary market is a long-term look at the market. It feels that this money is too buggy. Soon the money in the currency circle will be circled. A new project will come up with billions, but because of the turn With a few times the probability, it is difficult to stop the enthusiasm of the participation of the currency people, and may approach the ultimate method of cutting the leeks.
I just said my personal thoughts.

Not all IEOs are the same. IEO are the name give to ICO that are hosted in an exchange.
Not all Exchanges are same likewise the process and criterion of listing a token sell as IEO is different.
Some of well established exchanges has a dedicated team that researches and selects best of the projects that have applied for the IEO while many others just lets in for a fee.
