2761  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin Core correct way to backup? on: July 08, 2022, 12:03:56 AM
Take note that USB flash drives have 10 years lifespan if you want to hold them for a long term make sure to make multiple copies to other storage or devices like CD/DVD discs these two have a long lifespan of around 30 to 50yrs.

Since the wallet is encrypted you are safe if you put a long password but if someone stole the wallet.dat file with a short password they can easily bypass it, unlike having a strong and long password.

And I would suggest you for safety never connect your PC/Laptop where you install Bitcoin core to the internet. You can make an online watch-only wallet to a live PC/Laptop separately for generating raw unsigned transactions and transfer them to your offline PC through a USB stick to sign the transaction.
2762  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Hacking a Samsung S3 to recover a Bitcoin wallet on: July 07, 2022, 11:28:26 PM
If you root your phone, you may be able to dump all data partitions to a desktop/laptop.
Then, later, you can scan these partitions with keyhunter to recover private keys.

Actually, you don't need to root the phone you can use a tool/software that can bypass patterns temporarily without data loss.

I have experience with my old Samsung phone before it can easily bypass using a tool I can't remember the name but they called it a one-click pattern removal tool. It was an old tool since 2015 and it is very useful for temporarily bypassing patterns. But the only problem is it is not permanent every time the screen is off the pattern will popup again.

The only problem with Joe is he did disassemble the unit and make some jumper it could be for tx, rx and gnd or jtag pinouts to directly have access to nand/emmc data. But it's too much work compared to using a one-click pattern for removing the pattern temporarily and then you can able to do what you want to like accessing the wallet and then back up the wallet.
2763  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Need help and advice regarding recovery on: July 07, 2022, 02:20:06 PM
this is true. Absolutely I agree...  Trusting is important. I need information so I can help. How will I get this information ?
I think private scanning software with python for this or try another method, i need check i need look , i need test more test ? How ? He will come my house ? How is it going to be. That is the law of this universe.

I want help but this is very hard progress in here ...

Best Regards.

Why don't you just guide him instead?

For me, you don't need to check and look and test the owner can able to do this and tell you what it looks like and the information you need if it isn't risky then the owner can share it publicly here except for important data it shouldn't be shared here or to you.

About how then why? Why would he come to your house? Unless you are trusted he can able to go there but if not, that's risky.
2764  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Need source code costume firmware for L3+ and S9 on: July 07, 2022, 01:36:15 PM
Why you didn't search them through Github?
Anyway, for vnish firmware, it seems there is no open-source code for this firmware.

Only 3 GitHub pages that I found open-source, the bitmaintech, Braiins OS and Hive. Here's the link to their pages.

- https://github.com/orgs/bitmaintech/repositories?type=all

2765  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: PSBT not possible with Electrum Android Version? on: July 06, 2022, 05:12:53 PM
It seems you can't able to generate .psbt through Android Electrum.
I tried to make a transaction from my phone but the only option is the QR code and copy raw hex.

I think you can only convert it to .psbt if you copy and paste the hex or raw transaction to Electrum PC.

Have you tried if you can able to use your mk4 wallet through otg?
2766  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: ThomasV public key Electrum on: July 05, 2022, 11:58:25 PM
The SKS keyserver network has been deprecated, so the server keys.gnupg.net will no longer work. You could try either of the following instead:
Code:
keyserver.ubuntu.com
hkp://pgp.mit.edu

After several attempts old version of GPG4win or the newest version in Kleopatra, I can't seem to make it work when trying to use the lookup on the server. It's loading and nothing comes up.

The only works for me are by using a command prompt and send this command

Code:
gpg --keyserver keys.gnupg.net --recv-keys 6694D8DE7BE8EE5631BED9502BD5824B7F9470E6

Also, those two server works through command.

This is the audit log from Kleopatra after verifying signature and Electrum installer

2767  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally, I Bought Something With Full Payment In Bitcoin. on: July 05, 2022, 03:17:11 PM
You are lucky that he accepts Bitcoin but actually here in my place until now no one knows Bitcoin except the token of Axie infinity.
Even though there are many Bitcoin users here in my country I still don't have the experience to talk to or see anyone who actually uses bitcoin locally.

I agree with others I don't think this is the right time to use Bitcoin and this might be the dip price of Bitcoin and maybe sooner suddenly the price of Bitcoin may increase.
I'm sure you'll regret it later if the price increase and no longer drop.

Is it a Qlink brand I saw it in a motorcycle shop in Nigeria it's around $1500 Brandnew and it seems you bought it at a cheaper price?
So I think you are not at a loss to buy that motorcycle.
2768  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: In Search of ASIC Firmware on: July 05, 2022, 02:24:11 PM
Why would you want to buy s19 firmware?

The firmware for Antminer s19 is free it won't cost anything if you you download it directly on Bitmain.

If you don't know where to download it then check this link https://shop.bitmain.com/support/download

or I think you are looking for firmware that can able to overclock? Only Braiins OS and ASIC.to that I know good firmware for s19.
2769  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost everything in 2012, Lost everything in 2018, now building since 2020 on: July 04, 2022, 11:51:10 PM
I've written the whole disk after formatting to play to eve online  Grin
I have the disks but getting the data back from a reputable data restauration company costs thousands of dollars Smiley

Why would you hire a restoration company if you can able recover them on your own free? And it's risky to hire someone since it's a big amount of BTC.
Even if you have overwritten the HDD why didn't you try it first with deep scanning maybe it can still be able to recover.

I have experience recovering a few altcoins before when I accidentally formatted it and even if the drive is overwritten I still manage to recover the wallet.dat file and recovery backup(nothing will be lost if you try).  And honestly, that amount that I sold at very cheap price I just recover them using Recuva and EaseUS and data recovery listed on Hiren's data recovery tools.
2770  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kucoin users, are your withdrawals okay? on: July 04, 2022, 11:37:01 PM
It's a win-win for the exchange though. Risk their users' coins to make themselves profit, and if it all goes to shit then just declare bankruptcy and use your users' deposits to pay off your shareholders.
That's the same as other companies with inside jobs where someone(a partner/friend) hijacks their server and stole almost all Bitcoin but that truth it's an inside job.
After that, they declare bankruptcy to make benefits of insurance. So it's a win-win for them to use bankruptcy insurance to pay affected users but limited insurance coverage.

This is always happening on exchanges in every bear market and not a good idea if we stay hold coins on any centralized exchange.

sorry i don't understand.

can you be more specific?

It's a setting of your PC under your network where you can able to change IP, subnet mask, default gateway, and also DNS.

If you still can't get it check this image below where you can edit it.

Change the PC IP to 192.168.0.24 and mask 255.255.255.0 then save

Or follow this youtube guide below

2772  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost everything in 2012, Lost everything in 2018, now building since 2020 on: July 04, 2022, 03:00:12 PM
Why don't you try to recover your 6 bitcoin from your formatted computer if it was never been touched after formatted you can maybe still have a chance to recover the wallet.

Actually, I have the same experience that I never forget in the year 2018 I was almost depressed and forgot my holdings at that time because two important persons in my life die from illness and cancer. But I am still lucky that I sold them at a very cheap price. At that time I want to commit suicide but I'm thinking about the people I'll leave behind. 2018 is pretty bad luck to me.

Anyway, we have different paths after that I continue to stay here at the forum and trade, and lucky that I bought some miners after selling my coins year 2018 to have a new start.
2773  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Asic miners advice on: July 04, 2022, 02:29:00 PM
You must give more details about the limited Electricity supply you mean do you have only 10,000kw? or lower than that?
What is your source of power is that solar or it is residential Electricity?

What exactly are your current ASIC miners?

I think you better read this link below it should answer your needs if I'm right.

If you are looking for profitable ASIC units today then check this one https://www.asicminervalue.com/
2774  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitshield wallet not reputed. Be careful of the noncustododial wallet... on: July 03, 2022, 11:59:21 PM
I never heard of bitshield and I tried to search it I don't know how these people end up using it even though, you can see almost all reviews and comments on Playstore.

Most of the reviews are fake as what I can see there are many people who have had a bad experience using this wallet if they read the reviews I'm sure it will tell you that the wallet is risky and you should not trust this wallet.

Newbies are most of the victims of this kind of scheme they are mostly attracted to reviews without using Google search and asking it to someone who knows about wallets.
2775  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: ThomasV public key Electrum on: July 03, 2022, 11:38:48 PM
I suggest you try this instead of using gpg --import put this command below

Code:
gpg --keyserver keys.gnupg.net --recv-keys 6694D8DE7BE8EE5631BED9502BD5824B7F9470E6

This code is on Electum GitHub documentation here https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum-docs/blob/master/gpg-check.rst using that command is for substitute if lookup on the server temporarily does not work or if you can't successfully import keys.
You must run CMD as administrator before you send that command.

Once it's done open Kleopatra and go to notepad and import the ThomasV pubkeys that you link above paste it to notepad and then import and proceed to verify the Electrum installer. It should automatically verify.
2776  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Current Cost of s9 and best place to buy on: July 03, 2022, 05:04:02 PM
Saw used S9K at 85 USD from AKMINERS (shipping on top)

Be careful dealing with AKminers they are bad sellers many people are complaining and being scammed by that seller.
Also, some people receive broken units so better stay away from them.

If you are looking for cheap units I suggest you contact offordscott
Which is way more trusted than Akminers.
2777  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to cash out crypto payment on: July 02, 2022, 11:55:03 PM
I don't think it's ok to say here or not but make a fake ID for KYC and use it in binance or kucoin. It's helpful for many people. i used to use one when i was not issued an ID card. But don't use it for illegal use.

That's a very bad suggestion you can use p2p but you won't be able to withdraw them directly to your bank account, ATM, or any payment method that needs your name unless the ID you use is one of your family.

Bisq seems to be good but how to receive USDC into Bisq ?

It seems they don't have a USDC option on their market if you can able to exchange or convert it to XMR there are many sellers/buyers looking for it.
2778  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.com issue on: July 02, 2022, 11:34:13 PM
I have mailed this issue to blockchain.com support. Maybe they can figure out the problem on their side and fix it. I will post updates here(if they give any meaningful reply). Hopefully, no one else has to face this issue again.

I don't know if blockchain has a plan to fix the issue it was there since years ago and their wallet is actually problematic I have bad experiences using their wallet and actually, I still have funds on their wallet which until now can't be able to recover using wallet id, email and the right password.

You are lucky that you charge the battery successfully without shorting it. You can able to see the negative and positive under the terminal flex.

Anyway, you are now able to log in through a QR code and able to make a sign message. Now do not use the blockchain wallet ever and use the proper wallet.
2779  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for Trading job on: July 02, 2022, 11:14:37 PM
What I see here is that you want to use other trader's funds to test your trading skills like the above said you won't be here if you are actually a pro in trading.

That's risky traders shouldn't hire anyone to trade their investment.

And If I'm right why not play the trading simulator instead to test your skill and if your strategies are effective then you can apply them in real trading.

Check this for trading simulator
2780  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: want overclocking software for avalon 1246 ( 88 th) on: July 02, 2022, 10:43:51 PM
There is no software yet for overclocking it.

Why do you want to overclock this unit? is it hashrate drop? There is an option under the configuration of this unit to choose either normal mode or performance mode.

Or you can try to play with the FMS app and use "diagnose" and send the commands below 537 to 612 these might be frequencies increasing it might force your miner to run overclocked.

Code:
[{"command":"ascset","parameter":"0,aging-parame-
ter,60-537:562:587:612"}]

Take note never tested it but you can try and be careful it might also need more power and it can lead to PSU failure.

Just in case send this command below for auto tuning your miner.

Code:
[{"command":"ascset", "parameter":"0,aging-set,1"}]
