1821  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I might be wrong about this but I need to know on: January 25, 2023, 02:03:59 PM
I guess your brother didn't know exactly how to mine Bitcoin he might be talking about renting a hash rate on Nicehash or from Miningrigrentals and pointed to any pools like Nicehash to convert your hash rate to BTC. Meaning the hash rate you bought is from GPU mining and Nicehash paid you with Bitcoin.

There are very few that currently legit cloud mining but almost all are scams. Miningrigrentals and Nicehash and the one that Bitmain promoted before I don't remember exactly what the website is but I think they don't offer hashrate anymore because the slots are full.

Be careful what your brother said the only way to mine Bitcoin is to have ASIC units that support SHA256 algo if he give you some details and redirect you to another link with unknown cloud mining site then that's 100% scam.
1822  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: BTCrecover help on: January 24, 2023, 11:58:20 PM
You can recover that missing characters but 5 missing characters take more than a year or maybe decades.
And BTCrecovery is not the only tool you can use to find the missing phrases you can also use the Finderouter recovery tool check the link below.

You can speed up the process if you have a good rig with GPUs.
1823  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance P2P - any experience/opinions? on: January 24, 2023, 11:37:34 PM

From the seller's perspective, does it actually matter if a buyer is highly rated or not? Are buyers actually rated as well?

What concerns me is:
To my understanding, Binance is locking the crypto to make sure the buyer receives it. But is there any similar security feature for sellers? If buyers are sending fiat directly to sellers, what happens when the buyer says he has sent the payment but the seller didn't receive anything? I'm guessing Binance would require some sort of proof from the buyer that he indeed sent the money - but what would that proof be? A screenshot? That can be easily faked. Or are fiat transactions also going via Binance? What am I missing here?

If you are planning to be a P2P seller in Binance they have requirements you must be an active buyer on their P2P exchange within 30 days before you can able to post ads as a seller.

About the security for the seller, the screenshot is required as proof that the seller send the amount to the buyers but if the buyer or seller didn't receive any transaction you can dispute/appeal and later binance support will assist you.

You don't need to deposit the fiat all fiat transactions are made outside Binance that is why a screenshot is needed.
1824  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Perdida de Th/s en el Pool on: January 24, 2023, 01:20:25 PM
I think what you talking about is the hash rate report on the pool compared to the miner's current hash rate.

If I'm right I think it's due to high ping it can cause delay. Try to change the pool with low ping. Some pools have 3 options ASIA, EU, and US pool servers if you are living in Asia you should use Asia pool or if you are living in the US then use US pool.

If using other pool doesn't fix your issue try to change your miners network from DHCP to Static and use Google/Cloudflare DNS. Update here if it works
1825  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: My antminer T15 is in infinite loop. read! on: January 24, 2023, 01:03:37 PM
I've cleaned everything, I've tested if there's any kind of short with all the pins (4) (on the board and also on the fan) both are normal. the miner turns on with only 1 fan, both the upper and lower, they turn on normally but only 1 at a time. and both ports on the card work, but one at a time...

If you don't have a solution, the way will be to buy 2 fans, there's no way.

You can use fan simulator but the problem is how can you cooldown the unit with only one fan. Mineral oil is optional but it would be more expensive than replacing it with new fan.

So, there is no other way but to replace them with working fan.
1826  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: My antminer T15 is in infinite loop. read! on: January 23, 2023, 11:59:48 PM
Can you try to check the fan terminal/plugs/connectors maybe there is something under the connectors or terminals it could be moist/rust/corrosion that turns the fan shorted?

I suggest try to brush it with lacquer flo thinner or isopropyl alcohol to help remove and clean them and then use a multimeter to test if they are shorted too.

Another thing that I think is that maybe one of the fan wire the positive and negative wire are swap the connection from connector to the control board terminal should be positive to positive and negative to negative.
1827  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Avalon A1166 continuously reboots BOOTBY[0x10.80028DD4] on: January 23, 2023, 11:53:25 PM
Thanks for this helpful link.
I've tried both, but nothing helped.
Maybe Anna Luo from the avalon miner support can help me  Wink

What I guess is that the program itself is corrupted after you downgraded it to a lower version try to reflash it again with the same firmware or I guess the firmware that you flash is corrupted try to redownload the file and reflash it again.

If it still doesn't work try to revert it back to what it was before or reflash it to the latest version. Maybe the older version have bugs to pie chart so upgrading it to the latest version should fix this issue.
1828  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't get scammed because of wallet upgrade on: January 23, 2023, 11:41:14 PM
This is an old strategy maybe they found your email somewhere here on the forum if you posted all 3 emails to join in some campaigns then after a few days expect to receive spam emails from random strangers.

Have you tried to check if the email has an unsubscribe button? so that you can remove your email from their spam emails or block them.

It's really dumb they ask for a seed phrase it is likely the same as asking for a Bitcoin wallet backup. A seed phrases should never be shared with anyone you should be the only one who knows your seed phrase typing it to any online device can possibly be hacked/leaked. So always keep them offline and don't fall to any trap like this.
1829  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: My antminer T15 is in infinite loop. read! on: January 23, 2023, 04:46:43 PM
I can't seem to find any problem except on fan lost

You are mining on the Binance pool I have experience mining there sometimes my miner does not work sometimes the current hash rate does not match on the pool report on their dashboard.

I'd suggest you switch to another pool like Viabtc for testing purposes while fans are connected.

I just want to ask if you have a multimeter because I want you to check if the fan terminals have power.

The miner fan has 4 wires I just want to try this below.

Hi , i have ONE solution in hardware but easy to take !

the fan are 4 pin

- Black   =  - 12V
- Red     = + 12V
- Yellow =  Signal Speed
- Blue    = Signal PWM

If you try to disconnect ONLY the blue wire (PWM) the fan is forced to 100% ...

Try it to unlock your miner Wink

Disconnect the blue or yellow wire or disconnect both of them let's see if you can now access the hash board while fans connected.
1830  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Avalon A1166 continuously reboots BOOTBY[0x10.80028DD4] on: January 23, 2023, 04:24:12 PM
The hardware error might be due to overheating and maybe the latest version automatically reboots the miner when some chips reach 85c but for older version reads it as hardware error.

Anyway, the dashboard looks like its running fine now.

About the pie chart I think you need to try accessing the miner through incognito mode in chrome if it doesnt work try to factory reset the miner.

Follow the guide on this link below on how to reset it to factory settings.

1831  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S17+ Wont mine, socket failed to connect, total packet loss on: January 23, 2023, 11:29:40 AM
If my suggestion does not work I think you can try flashing it with different firmware like Braiins OS and then set up the braiins OS settings into auto-tuning and then let it run for a while.

Let's see if auto-tuning can help to fix overheating issue and post the logs here.

If it didn't solve your problem I think you can manually set chip frequency but the problem you need to find which chip is overheating so that you can reduce power and frequency on that chip.

This is just my suggestion for those who do not have technical knowledge and don't have experience in hardware repair. The solution above might be temporary but if you are looking for a permanent fix then hire a technician near your area check zeusbtc for the list of repair centers.
1832  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: My antminer T15 is in infinite loop. read! on: January 23, 2023, 10:54:37 AM
It looks like a fan issue or PSU this is not easy to troubleshoot without the kernel logs.

Would you mind to try copy the kernel logs while the fan disconnected and then post it here maybe we can see some hints under your miner's logs.

Don't forget to put logs inside insert code tag a # button while editing your post.
1833  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hello, I would like to ask what system is used here? on: January 22, 2023, 11:39:38 PM
Does it look like you are planning to make a landing page using a Ponzi scheme cloud mining site?

I doubt you are from another forum(it's just a guess due to your username)? And I think you want to make a cloud mining site as a landing page to put some CPA offer or maybe it is a straight cloud mining site with no investment return(Scam).

There are some free templates out there but no one will share them because we know you will use them to scam. There are also paid ones but the problem is some of them are also scammers. I'm sure you will receive some PMs who are selling templates beware.
1834  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Backtesting a strategy when no coding skills on: January 22, 2023, 11:20:37 PM
There are some open-source free backtesting tools that one is already mentioned above but it's outdated you can try Zenbot here below.

1835  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many people read crypto exchange terms and condition this day? on: January 22, 2023, 11:09:40 PM
A few years ago I always skip reading TOS because it's a long text to read but right now it change because I have a few issues on the exchange I don't want to experience them again like a locked account or funds frozen that is very stressful and it ends up nothing all tokens are stuck forever on that exchange.

Reading TOS is very important so that you know what you are going to do if you accept their terms then make sure you follow the terms to avoid future issues like what happened to most of the newbie traders out there that always skip reading TOS.
1836  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Avalon A1166 continuously reboots BOOTBY[0x10.80028DD4] on: January 22, 2023, 05:47:35 PM
Bootby is an unknown reboot according to Canaan description logs and another thing that I notice is that some chips reach Tmax more than 85c look at the logs.
So possible it's overheating which is why the miner reboots.

Can you try to improve the air circulation in your room to cool down the miner a bit or try to increase the fan speed to help the miner cool down?

To manually set the fan speed use this command below.

Code:
[{"command":"ascset","parameter":"0,fan-spd,90"}]
This is not permanent if the miner reboots the fan speed will run again at the default speed.
1837  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Coinbase account Disabled to spend coin on: January 22, 2023, 05:35:16 PM

Are you sure about this? Because modem assigning dynamic range of IP address are designed to used like that unless you configure to have it as static assigning which probably coinbase knows a lot about it. Unless a VPN, new device or new browser is used and it will trigger their system.

Though disabling the account looks like not normal to me for every suspicious login, except when changing email or password.
Maybe on other countries gives only one IP per house but here in my country even its assigned in dynamic range or DHCP mode the IP change if you turn off and on the modem atleast on my case it changed.

It always happen to me everytime I change password or use other device it start since 2019 I guess.
1838  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Market on the Rise, But Proceed with Caution! on: January 21, 2023, 11:58:32 PM
How did you know if the bottom is not reached yet?
Yes, bitcoin is too volatile it's not the same as other assets like gold and it's not easy to predict the price movement keeps changing but no one could predict if this year is still on a bear market or bull market.

But for me, since it is cheap compared to the price last year it is better to buy and hold because we don't know maybe $16k is the bottom and now it's starting to rising.
1839  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: new to mining, do this idea make any sense? on: January 21, 2023, 11:28:56 PM
L3+ is not a Bitcoin miner its an altcoin miner if you are looking for efficiency use some tools to find the right unit for efficiency.

Try this one https://www.asicminervalue.com/efficiency/sha-256

And I think you can optimize any units for efficiency but you will need to switch them to modded firmware like asic.to and braiins OS.
1840  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Stealth mining on: January 21, 2023, 12:14:34 AM
I'm currently mining via VPN, so I did some pinging tests:

The ping times seem to be reasonably good for some pools, but slow for others:
~snip~

That's not the way how to ping the stratum server/pool Kano has its own guide before I don't know where it is right now but you can try to check my guide below on how to ping stratum pools or a pool with ports, not just the website itself because you are directly pinging 80/443 HTTP/HTTPS ports.
