This is kinda inaccurate in the Trading Discussion. It also has an inappropriate title that doesn't have any connections with the post. If you really wanted to gain clients or be useful to others, better post with both simplicity and a straight to the point constructive idea, and also better change the title and try to move it instead in the Services section.

I don't think I would be able to stay in a casino for that long, I'm not land-based casino gambler after all. You are still lucky if you came out of the casino with a 1% increase you know. It might not be much but it can be worth something more if you have more capital, lol. The most important part of this is still risk management with your capital and the emotional aspect when you lose because I know a lot of people that keep on pouring out money from their bank accounts just to redeem their losses.

Maybe you should at least try playing at the physical casinos to somehow prove what the OP and I had been mentioning. And no, 1% isn't luck after hours of playing. Yes, you would feel satisfaction that some jobs cannot give you, yet everything you have in gambling were just permanent that even doesn't last for weeks. Also, if you are a gambler or wanted to be one, emotional control must already been taken care of before entering such activities, so as the risks. Overall, you're right - that people keeps losing and losing. That's why I've hated playing in physical casinos from time to time as well.

Thanks for sharing the valuable info with applied use cases. So you suggest betting more on online gambling platforms rather than physical casinos due to the mentioned possible cases. But I have the worst experience with live dealer Blackjack tables compared to the real physical casinos where I can sit face to face with the dealer and think about my next move. The cheating issues and rigged games are a big NO for me, unfortunately.

You're quire right yet I think the OP have no intention suggesting a much preferable platform but rather just listing facts why such gamblers often have a hard time stopping at their gambling routines. LOL gambling wouldn't really be good and you can't really win (probably) if you wouldn't enjoy the game and focus only on it. Most online platforms have unfair games even on the physical one's that's why you must only enjoy the satisfaction and accept losing at the first place lol.

Those POGO's that don't pay their taxes are those tagged as illegitimate POGOs. Like in any other business, there are good and bad. Some owners are lazy to work on their tax pending and the result, the penalty increase year by year. In general, there are lots of POGOS that complying with the law compared to those shitty ones. My brother is working in a POGO industry so I'm aware of their industry as I also employed there before.

I think you're quite wrong there. I've seen the news and read some article that says they were legitimate POGOs as they are licensed in the Philippines.
(Article: Majority of licensed Pogos failed to pay P50B in taxes in 2019 — BIR official

I also have a cousin working in POGO and he'd told me that those issue is indeed real.  And yes, the authorities are working on their cases as of now, and maybe they must do it much faster because the said companies are continuing their operations despite the pandemic.

This is a fact, however, we cannot also remove that people and even the news generalize POGO so those who are diligently paying their taxes are affected. The government might as well focus on those who are operating illegally. I also have read an article that the number of crime related to gambling increased since China started their gambling operation here in Philippines and most of the crime commited is kidnapping.

Can you site the article you've been talking about? Well, that's another issue yet a bigger prospect than the reopening of the land based casinos. Yet, overall, gambling operations must be stopped first, in order to both prevent the pandemic and punish those POGOs that evades taxes and operates amidst the quarantine.

Those tricks are kinda obvious. Even I already knew those tricks before I enter physical casinos. Why? It's just the same as the fun and gaming parks in a lot of malls where kids and even adults (even I myself) are being addicted. It's not just the smell of the lavender that you've repeatedly mentioned, but it's the cold temperature that was relaxing. Also, as Yaunfitda had been mentioned, it wasn't a maze, but a safety precaution so that robbers would find a hard time entering and escaping the place.

Overall, it's not a normal tricks and exclusive for casinos, it's everywhere. Malls, parks, even bars.

I never look at it that way, but the video may have helped people realize that it's designed to take your money, and no matter what you do, as long as you play, you could lose in the long run. All of it seems to be applicable, and no matter what you expose about the casinos, people are still going to play on them because they want to play.

Indeed. That's why I don't trust physical casinos as they only tend to make you feel you win until you realized you're there for almost 12 hours winning only 1% of your initial money.
2765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PAGCOR waiting for the approval to reopen land-based casinos. on: June 15, 2020, 08:32:43 AM
Not only for the employees but mostly on the government side as when it creates revenue, they can use the funds to combat the pandemic.
Employees of casinos may earn millions of pesos combine per year but PAGCOR is making billions in a yearly basis, and that is a big contribution for our economy.

If we will always look at the risk,we can never survive as we need money to combat the pandemic and we can't afford to borrow money again which will only result to burden of our taxpayer since we don't know when this pandemic is over.

You are right in here. However, there are still issues that resides behind the darkness of PAGCOR. The POGOs that still haven't paid taxes. Yes, we need money to both survive and use it for the research or for the maintenance of the pandemic, more specifically on health factors and frontliners' salaries. Yet, recently (and even as of now) PAGCOR investigates POGOs (mostly online platforms and employees are Chinese) with why their taxes are still pending. If they would focus on finishing recent problems first with their taxes, maybe they can use it for the pandemic and the people whom are trying to flatten the curve. Then if they can't comply nor pay their taxes as early as possible, they mustn't be operating now.

However, it is not a good idea to open a Land-based casino. The cases are still rising, yet the ones whom are mostly negatively affected are those whom are at the low class of society, and those whom can play casinos can live because they can afford hospital bills and preventive measures. But still the issue here is different, pandemic killed almost everyone in Italy, yet here we are, the Philippines, thinking of playing casinos amid the crisis.

~
well following Las Vegas and UK opening their Casinos ,i think at least Philippines will also start their gambling operation again because of the Big financial problem like now that all of the people are relying in government for Help and support.
also i am sure that many big time gamblers now are longing to Bet again and satisfy their Addiction in betting.

Well, LasVegas and UK also has huge number of cases and still rising, and how did opening their gambling operations help them eradicate it? Nothing. It only serves and helps the satisfaction of the riches while those poor were suffering.

As long that they follow the protocols to avoid spreading the virus.

If they will work according to how WHO/DOH procedures, it's possible to reopen and gain some help from this business.
We all know how the government are trying to earn to continue surviving from this pandemic virus, there are lots of
expenses especially from the medical aspects of the society.

One reason why (even protocols are being followed) is that many Filipinos are asymptomatic. Meaning that despite how they feel good right now, sooner even on their casino games, they will and can inhale the virus and weeks before the symptoms hits. There are no assurance whether someone or something hasn't have any virus.
2766  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance now supports Philippines Peso (PHP) for P2P Trading. Have you tried it? on: June 15, 2020, 05:56:55 AM
I haven't heard of and used any P2P exchanges that are applicable in the Philippines but knowing that Binance is a big exchange and there's acceptance with our local currency, that's a great step for being recognized in the cryptocurrency space. Maybe other exchanges will follow as well, not just USD, AUD, etc.
Both Bisq and Hodl Hodl supports the Philippine Peso too. Liquidity is just very very low due to both having a bit worse UI/UX. The Binance P2P platform's advantage in this case is just the name, but whatever. At least we get P2P adoption I guess.

Maybe, why Bisq and Hodl Hodl had less attention than the binance accepting P2P of Philippine Peso is that their User Experiences were poor lol Grin I've seen a lot of my friends preferred using Binance as it's features and trading volume is numerous and high. And the time they've accepted my local currency, it's shocking and I'm somehow happy that they require no fees. Binance wins the likes of their customers afterall.

Low liquidity is immediately a turn off with people using a service and it's possible that it's one of the reasons that it's not yet mainstream or being used. You can never question the reputation that Binance has right now but still, it's a win for the local currency.

Indeed. Despite the fact that mk4 has a point that those respectable exchanges already had been accepting PhP, the success of a project (trading platform to be exact) depends on the number of its users and their positive reviews.

2768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos UI? on: June 12, 2020, 12:12:18 PM
What I find alarming, however, is when new starting casinos simply copy the style sheets and structure of existing casinos, slightly change (eg, only the colors exchange) and so put on the net. This definitely discourages gamblers, as it looks very unprofessional and one could even assume a scam attempt.

Damn, I've looked up on their source code via console and it's not just "seemingly similar", but it really is! Those sites already has a lot of users and been promoted around the forum, and it's suspicious that even their scripts are the same. Are there published records that has something to do with why are they the same?

There are many possible reasons why the sites of some cryptocasinos looks identical: ~

Yes, you listed all was right, and if it was proven, this can be a theft and must be investigated so that its users is knowledgeable. Also, isn't suspicious because every project and gambling sites must have different makers and different scripts as well?

I think this isn't just an issue about why they are the same user interface, this is far more alarming than what we've expected.
2769  Other / Meta / Re: improvement nex dark theme on: June 11, 2020, 02:04:53 AM
this archival post to improvement nex dark theme

The question that keeps bothering me is that, is this safe? Yes, it's just modifying a website's CSS by simply adding its extension, but then it asks for permission to read user's data:
For the "Stylish" (first link you've indicated in the OP that redirects to Stylish Extension)

And for "Stylus" (second link)

It's quite alarming to install such browser extensions especially if it asks such permissions as well. Also, I've looked for other user's review if no one had any suspicion nor had experienced any suspicious events on their devices after they've installed it, yet I've seen some such as, (Stylish and Stylus)

Though it is open source and code can be seen through their Github, based on experience, is it safe??
2770  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Timeline ng Pag Hack ng mga BTC Exchanges on: June 08, 2020, 03:51:01 AM
Kase kahit gamiting mn ang HW even sa infected devices hacking hardware wallet is impossible.

Hacking is possible sa kahit anong bagay.

Not sure. Gaya nga ng sinabi ko kanina, hackers also use Social Engineering or sa layman's term sa pinoy is "Pambubudol / Pang-uuto", kung saan it takes even months para makuha ang loob ng tao then the attack is still on focus.

Pwede ring mahack ang accounts ng mga tao even without the exchange being vulnerable. Maraming exchange accounts ang nahahack ng walang kasalanan ung exchange mismo, biggest common method is through phishing attacks.

Yes, this is possible. But then kaya may Two-Factor Authentication lagi as another layer of security measures sa mga exchanges. The thing is, nahack ang Binance hindi lang dahil sa vulnerable ang mga users na ninakawan, kundi dahil despite ng 2FAs nila is nagawa padin ng hackers ma access iyon, how? They have access first on their smartphones. Alam ko it was called Payload (Using Metasploit).

TBH,  I would like to make a thread for your telegram bot that would tackle reviews about it yet I don't see if it was necessary (I think it was because it will boost your bot's users and will surely help them a lot). Could I make one?
Sure. Thanks for the compliments. Smiley

Hey dude, I've made the thread yesterday as what I've requested. I hope it would reach other users so that your masterpiece would help them in their forum activities. It would be nice if you would include my review thread in this thread's main post Cheesy

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5253185.0

I really don't get why they moved it to service discussion as I intended to let most users know about your work. But then its fine, you deserve a badge I guess.

Also, as what giammangiato said

We could ask for special API from theymos. These API could tell us, how many pm to read are there per account.
Without going into details.. I think it's an easy and feasible thing, or not?
it would be a good service for users in my opinion!

I think this is possible yet the flaw's is Data Privacy, as the API would require password input and I think bots are not that capable to use such informations without being penetrated or leaked. But if the API would rather use redirecting link that can be PM on user's account or a code, I think it's an option.

2773  Economy / Service Discussion / [REVIEW] @BTTSuperNotifier_bot and why should we use it! on: June 04, 2020, 05:16:50 AM
Disclaimer: This thread is intended to promote and be a thread of reviews of @BTTSuperNotifier_bot, given approval by the maker - TryNinja, himself.
TBH,  I would like to make a thread for your telegram bot that would tackle reviews about it yet I don't see if it was necessary (I think it was because it will boost your bot's users and will surely help them a lot). Could I make one?
Sure. Thanks for the compliments. Smiley

As we all know, maintaining a continuous conversation and concrete exchange of ideas here in the forum takes time as there are no feature that could tell whether or not you are mentioned by someone or someone did a quote on one of your posts. Because most of us (I myself included), replies on a thread then manually searches if our replies had been quoted or questioned by someone else... But not anymore!

Recently (May 16 2020 to be exact), @TryNinja made a Telegram bot that offers and allows you to get notified for every mentions, topic replies, merit updates, and more to come! He also mentioned that there are only 91+ (shockingly yes!) users that registered on the Bot. In which, I was shocked because it helped my a lot in maintaining a conversation I started in a thread and sees whether someone is talking about me.

Also, it even supports my local language! (Filipino)

Now after you've installed telegram (or if you already have one!) Go check out one of TryNinja's masterpiece! It will surely help you a lot (if i could say extremely a lot, then I would!). Then come back at this thread and reply here your reviews, and let's promote this to other users here in the forum!

I would suggest this kind of format:
Code:
I give it <<NUMBER OF STARS>> Stars!

Reasons why you've liked it
Reasons why you've disliked it (I bet you wont!)
And suggestions you think that will make the bot much greater and helpful! (you can also suggests on the main Bot thread)

Here's my review:

Quote
I give it 5 stars!

Yes, there are options that I think would be helpful if the Bot includes such as searching for other user's information with only using their names, yet it is already superb as it helped me watching threads that I've replied on and even ignore users whom mentions me. Great great great job, TryNinja!

2774  Other / Meta / Re: UP Button for post - For original poster on: June 01, 2020, 01:37:26 PM
Although I could have used this, I think it's a bad idea. I barely go back to read updates in the first post(s). Forum users read new posts, so if there's any news to add, add it as a new posts.

Indeed. Making an "UP" button would simply make a thread's conversation useless. I mean, first of all that's the sense of Forums, to interchange opinions like how a normal conversation works. Therefore, pinning a certain reply would just make a drastic change to the forum's chronological layout just for a feature that most would find confusing. Why confusing? Imagine having a reply at the 39th page of the thread because the exchanging of opinions is so profound, and just pinning it on the first page, how could others follow the topic nor how could they know what's the root of the pinned post?

I just imagine the idea of having a pinned post then I come up with this kind of idea that the OP can transfer on the top the thread.

Just the same as what the OP suggests, and it's kinda unnecessary. I think the best option is to include anchors to the main post that redirects to the good replies on that thread (which what @hugeblack had suggested)
I don't think anything will happen soon so it is best to use these codes if you want to send an important warning at first.
Code:
[iurl=#st6]XXX: [/iurl]
[anchor=st6]YYYY[/anchor]

Didn't had a lot of free time recently but I was doing some experimentations to improve the merit notification time from minutes to a few seconds. Just need to do some testings and maybe find a solution for a few issues. The bot has reached 91 members, so thanks to everyone that helped me - and used the bot - so far. Smiley

Seriously?! Only 91 members?! Damn your bot must be endorsed by the forum itself. The first time I tried it was helped me a lot to monitor my activities. Because we all know that notification is what lacks the forum, in which mentions makes a good conversation, and without us knowing it makes it hard to have one.

TBH,  I would like to make a thread for your telegram bot that would tackle reviews about it yet I don't see if it was necessary (I think it was because it will boost your bot's users and will surely help them a lot). Could I make one?

Overall, 4 thumbs up for your work. Soon I'll reply for suggestions I think would be good for the bot and be beneficial to the users.
2776  Other / Meta / Re: [TELEGRAM] Yet Another BitcoinTalk Notification BOT (merits, mentions, topics,+) on: June 01, 2020, 03:37:00 AM
Are you still open for some suggestions and improvements?

I just want to suggests having other useful commands such as:
  • /profileinfo
    • This whill show and message the user's basic yet important profile information in a way like:
      Quote
      Your Account:
      Casdinyard
      Hero Member
      Posts: 1696
      Activity: 1176
Merits: 517 (13 in the last 120 days)
      Trust: +0 / =0 / -0
  • /profilesearch [Account Name]
    • This will show another users basic information, just in case that they want to see other user's information, which can be his friend or his admired user.

I've been using it since you're uploaded the thread and it helps me a lot monitoring my account. But I think features are the best advantage of your bot. What do you think?
2777  Other / Meta / Re: New set up? on: May 30, 2020, 05:16:54 AM
It just highlights whenever you're in that box. It could also depend on the zoom ratio on your screen. If we are all 100%, it would look the same but it would be different for people who use 200% or another kind of device like a mobile phone probably.

Indeed. I think this isn't based on the CSS of the forum but on how the browsers defaults the style. I use Vivaldy browser yet everything looks normal (blue highlight is, I think,  the default style of the forum when textboxes are on focus). In most cases, all browsers have their default styling when it comes to simple pages like the forum.

In example:
You mean that cute orange box? I love it actually

Edit: mobile, chrome + UC Browser (pissed me with its ads, otherwise not bad)

This is probably not related to the zoom ratio or the forum because the Opera Browser looks like as usual. The main problem here is Google Chrome, and as an alternative, I would recommend the Opera browser I am currently using, as it offers a free VPN (if something is free, the customer is you, remember that this can harm your privacy) and crypto wallet option.

i think this is too off-topic in this thread. We're focusing about how styling differs from other's browsers and platform, and not which is a better browser.
2778  Other / Meta / Re: Having the NOTIFICATION shortcut tag of a new post made in the forum on: May 30, 2020, 12:36:42 AM
Of course having notification button at the top would be good feature but it won’t be different than the above snapshot I believe.
With every refresh that footer changes. It does most of the work.

I agree with this. Maybe the forum would do what the OP suggests, they will just simply move the most recent posts (so98nn 's snapshot) onto the notification page.

But have you ever heard that we also have a Telegram bot? See link here: [TELEGRAM] Yet Another BitcoinTalk Notification BOT (merits, mentions, topics,+) - in which if you watch a thread or a board of your like, a notification would be sent onto you. Seems kinda the same as what you suggests yet a much better option than having a redundant page in the forum. It also features ignoring topics and even other users.

The biggest con with your suggestion is that, it already exist and would depend how and how often you use the Most Recent Posts feature.
2779  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: This forum is much more than just signature campaigns... on: May 29, 2020, 12:47:26 PM
... and I'm on a signature campaign, the case is the same for majority of the quality and constructive posters on this forum who all wear signatures. So you're wrong, signature campaigns do not compromise quality, it's just a way of receiving a bonus for posting, and the quality posters would do so(post on the forum)with or without it.

I somehow disagree with this. Though I am also aren't been on signature campaigns for a long time, I've seen that some users that also has no participation in campaigns aren't active recently. I don't know what really happened but as what the OP had been realized, this quarantine is a great chance to be back on posting and interacting with quality here in the forum. And I think that bonuses isn't what would make a quality poster stay on his run. It is also about his passion in learning more and fulfilling doubts in his intelligent mind. Hence complementing the OP:

Quality posting is a skill which is acquired through hard work and could be expedite through guided introspection which is all I am advocating instead of just joining this forum for signatures.

Also some examples (link to thread that give you this reward) would had been nice so others can seized the opportunity of similar opportunities when they present itself in the future. Thanks for sharing.

Kindly update the thread OP is you may with CryptopreneurBoss 's suggestion and also, why not indicate answering the question HOW and not only sharing HOW MUCH alone? It would be much helpful for the beginners whom are reading your thread to somehow give them ideas with your ways of earning.

Hello, I'm web developer.

but i can't understand
What is the forum Tongue, and what is satshi?

and what is the many ads under users posts?
