1761  Other / Off-topic / Re: White Card entered in Football !!! on: January 26, 2023, 07:22:21 PM
I don't see any reason to add a white card since on the soccer field the referee has a whistle, there is another way to communicate with other assistant referees, there is VAR, there are police and doctors, there are several people who each take care of their own task in the field, but if they put unnecessary things like white card it will confuse many people

For example, when I watch soccer and hear the referee's whistle, it immediately comes to my mind that something serious or serious has happened and when he takes a card out of his pocket, I'm already thinking that it's going to be shit, but if they put a white card it means that my heart is already there will be no peace, because every time the referee blows the whistle and puts his hand in his pocket I'll be thinking what the hell he's going to take out if it's a yellow or white card
I guess the benefits of this white card is just not that realized because of how recent this has been added, but once the football federation or whatever the heck's supposed to preside these games finally figure out what they want this white card to do, we'd probably see better benefit and usage of it over time. I think it is important even only as a symbol because Soccer is a game that thrives in penalties. Look how overreacting some athletes are just for the enemy to score a yellow or a red card. The white card, once established may become a breath of fresh air in this otherwise negative sport and we may as well see athletes work more for that white card rather than act all sissy just to gain an advantage over the opposing team.
1762  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do online casinos disadvantage some locations from winning big on: January 26, 2023, 06:43:45 PM
I really don't agree or think that geographical location is a problem when it comes to gambling provided the casino has the required license.
I had to have a rethink in this issue and I really don't agree with the fact that casinos use any form of algorithm to limit payouts to certain location except is a non license casino and you shouldn't trust any casino without a license because it's operating illegally and the worst can happen at anytime.
Firstly for a casino to operate in a certain place, there are certification and license they're required to have and at such there are jurisdictions they're also expected to abide by and I'm sure with those licenses they wouldn't have to fear any implications for any amount won as long as they can make the payment to the winner.
Agreed. But I was made aware of the fact that casinos are mostly set up on places where people are likely more to spend. But geographically discriminating? I don't think so. If anything, I could attribute this as a gambler pinning the blame on someone or something for losing a lot of money on a certain spot and then winning a couple on the other. It's all a bias in your brain, like thinking that you have a certain lucky number. One must be responsible enough to reconsider his/her actions and what led them to that moment, and not blame anything but yourself. After all, you should've gambled knowing all too well that you most likely wouldn't keep all your money in one piece, otherwise why would you gamble in the first place, for profit?
1763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tom Brady's Gambling and HUGE loss. on: January 26, 2023, 05:32:43 PM
Regardless of how great of a person you are, you don't toy with your partner's feelings. Of all things you could bet on, you'd bet on your marriage lasting over a specific period of time. That's just nuts. As a fellow gambler I can sympathize with him losing a lot of his money over gambling but I'd say with what happened between him and his ex-wife, he had it coming.
I don't think he's lost it all financially. The man still has a lot of gigs to do and a lot of endorsement contracts for himself. Before he gets financially dry, it will take a lot of bad investment choices for him to make. He's still playing at the highest level of NFL, and there's still a lot of companies willing to have him as an endorser for their products or services due to his large following and a lot of audience. It must have hurt for him losing hundreds of millions in FTX, but he can be quite 'frugal' for a while and get the money after a couple of gigs and a couple of contracts.

That's correct. He was estimated to have a net worth of over $500 million a year ago and lost 40 million in FTX. He also made some other bad investments like buying an NFT with an ape for over $400k and in the fall of last year that NFT was worth only $100k.
The divorce took close to $200 million from him and current reports estimate that he's now worth about $250 million and his wife owns 150 million more than him.

You can say 2022 wasn't Tom's year, but look on the bright side. He could get at least 50% of his FTX investment back because the company has billions in assets. He also has more money than we will ever have, because I consider myself wealthy, but I'm nowhere close to his current fortune. Wish I had 20% of what he owns.
Still, to lose almost half of all you own on a single streak is just something. I'm pretty sure he still has the avenues and opportunities to reclaim most of the earnings he lost through other ways. But man, that is just a punch in the gut if I ever see one.

7. social engineering (Soft begging)

I have seen a lot of times people in the casinos chat telling some really sad stories with the intention of touching other users' hearts and that way receiving some coins. We can call it the shame speech.

Who would believe a sad story that is being told by a random person in an online chat nowadays? I thought that the "Nigerian prince" email scam would never survive in the long run. Maybe I was wrong. Grin
Anyway, OP has mentioned all the ways the gamblers are trying to scam the casinos. We should make a list about all the methods the online casinos are using in order to scam their customers.
I think that the credit card fraud shouldn't be mentioned here, because:
1.This is a crypto gambling forum and most crypto casinos don't accept credit/debit cards.
2.Most online casinos(both fiat and online) are trying to stay away from credit/debit card payments, because they might get accused into supporting money laundering/CC fraud, so their business might be facing big trouble.
Well to be fair, the Nigerian Prince Email scam is still running even to this day. They just use different tactics now. But I digress. The fact that chargebacks are as easy to execute as breathing is the main reason why most casinos nowadays settle with using cryptocurrency payments, because at least when you use crypto you don't have any power over it anymore. Then again CC is still a pretty rampant payment method amongst casinos so I see why it could still see some usage, and I understand the fact that this is a crypto forum but people come in here, especially in this particular part of the site for gambling advises and tips as well, so I think it's alright that OP mentioned it.
1765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: We lose on the long run through return percentage on: January 26, 2023, 03:43:10 PM
Casinos depend on the people's return for cashflow. They know that at some point, winners will return to their premises and bet again, even if they won jackpots. It's just the way things go. Most of these jackpot winners end up losing their money to the same casino/people who gave them the prize because of poor cash management. Then end up betting again, chasing their luck on a win that you might as well expect would never come. You aren't supposed to turn a profit in betting within a casino in the first place, that's why I always advocate for gambling for entertainment only, never for profit. Because at the end of the day you'll end up disappointed and penniless when you gamble for profit.
1766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cheat the Lottery Winner on: January 24, 2023, 09:06:08 PM
I think she deserves her comeuppance. You don't toy with people's trust, let alone a close relative. because that bond can never be topped by any price. Although honestly speaking the victim's at fault here too. not blaming them for trusting a close relative but then again this is millions of dollars in lottery winnings we are talking about.
I agree. It takes a great deal of trust to hand over a substantial quantity of money to another person, particularly after a life-changing event like a lottery victory. Keep in mind that even our closest loved ones might be tempted to put themselves first when it comes to money. The cousin obviously made a big mistake by letting her other cousin collect the reward on her behalf.

It's also worth noting that, in many jurisdictions, lottery winners may choose to remain anonymous if they so want. A trust or limited liability company might be established to receive the award on behalf of the recipient. For people concerned about identity theft and other forms of fraud, this may be a viable solution. If you win a substantial sum of money, you should go to a lawyer or financial expert first to make sure you claim it the right way.
Indeed. When it comes to money, treat everyone as your enemy. That's what it looks like nowadays.
It's my money and I wouldn't entrust that to anybody. I'll claim it and will still remain anonymous despite that concern about anonymity.

When its come to my money, I wouldn't allow anyone to be trusted with it especially if it's a huge amount of money that I've won.

I wouldn't be lazy not to take it and will even be quick to take it.
I can see the victim being at fault in this part of the story so I agree with you. You can never be too trusting of people regardless of blood or whatever affiliation. People nowadays would trade you for a hotdog so you have to really be on the lookout, especially for life-changing events like these.
1767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This Smells Like Hypocrisy on: January 24, 2023, 07:31:16 PM
Gambling is frowned upon in Japan as far as I know, but not outrightly banned. Although some districts and prefectures are banning gambling entirely, because of the Yakuza connections that most casinos within Japan has. Yakuza can pretty much do whatever the hell they want in Japan, as long as they don't break the law, Horse Racing is a Yakuza-sanctioned sport in Japan, and most bosses there own race horses, funny story, you can't even make a mockery of their horses there coz that will seriously get you killed by the Yakuza, but I digress. It's all about their organized crime group there, and if they want it, they can do it. That is why the government itself isn't really keen on gambling but you'd see illegal gambling houses in Japan's busiest areas.
1768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: January 24, 2023, 06:00:59 PM
Honestly not getting my hopes up with Donaire knowing how old he is already but from his last fight with Inoue it seems like he still has the hunger for boxing. That being said AFAIK just like what OP said he is vying to fight El Gallo to claim 5 divisions for himself. Although he may entertain this fight because worse comes to worse, he's going to be better prepared against fighters that are younger than him considering moloney's age, best case scenario he has a title to bag for himself. February is not too far now and I think they'd rush the two because money needs to be made. So we may see the two of them fight probably February or any other month that will give them both the time and prep.
1769  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Blockchain a Good Career? on: January 23, 2023, 07:38:40 PM
More and more enterprises outside the industry is seeing the potential use for blockchain, apart from it being affiliated with crypto and the works. Which is why there's employment opportunity for web3 in the first place. Even as early as now companies and governments are studying how they can make use of blockchain's technology. I could remember Philippine's Scientific Research Department (DOST) even putting up scholarships for courses that teach blockchain technology, completely separate from cryptocurrency. So yeah, future's looking bright for all blockchain visionaries out there. Bitcoin has a possibility to die out eventually but as it stands today, blockchain may persist for a very long time, and it will bring in a whole market of careers and opportunities with it.
It seems to me that this is a good career, since this is the future
it seems to me that this career is going into the future and people who understand it are already standing for their future

It seems to me that Olien_17 and Suma1978 just so happen to be very similar in the way that they speak and just so happen to have posted 17 minutes apart on the same topic, or otherwise it seems to me that they are the same person  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
Lmao, I thought I was the only one who noticed. Either Olien's just not good at constructing productive and relevant content so he tries to copy whichever comes before him or he's really using alts, either way not gonna be good for the both of them.
1770  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think Bitcoin will lead the world's current market on: January 23, 2023, 06:43:18 PM
With a trillion dollar market cap and an ever-growing industry, it is quite possible that in the near future, cryptocurrency could play a major role in the world market, especially when global adoption is realized. But for now, it wouldn't be the case because as it stands, cryptocurrencies and bitcoin adjacently is still in its infant state. A lot of improvements within the infrastructure and also within the industry itself must be changed before it could take on the world market. For instance, it's heavy reliance on its deflationary nature makes it not fit for long-term usage, as the developers would have to choose between high value, or more customers. Scams are also rampant in this industry, but so is anywhere else, the problem is that this is debilitating for an industry as recent as the cryptocurrency world.
1771  Economy / Economics / Re: Do your work. on: January 23, 2023, 05:42:44 PM
If you don't learn how to make money work for you, you're going to die working for money all your life. That's the harsh reality we live in. We must know somewhere down the line that earning passive income apart from your employment or entrepreneurial profits is the way to go, especially as things stir down to a decline in the economy. Worse comes to worst, once the economic decline do happen you'd have enough greenbacks and savings to get by, if not, even better. It's even easier now to learn about these stuff, especially with the rampancy of internet and information within it. You can literally look for a book on how to gain financial freedom while frying an egg at the same time, so really, provided that you are living quite well, you have no excuse to not learn how to be financially smart.
1772  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Was Binance aware of the impending bankruptcy of FTX? on: January 22, 2023, 08:00:43 PM
Am I the only one who believes Binance knew in advance that FTX was going to collapse?

We all know that Binance played a significant role in the downfall of FTX and CZ disliked SBF.

I recall reading CZ's tweets last year and he seemed to be in communication with SBF. Did he know the terrible financial situation that FTX was in but hide it from the public?

Binance also divested its complete stake in FTX before bankruptcy. Is that a pure coincidence or something more sinister?

Nobody has benefited more during this whole fiasco than CZ. Perhaps more things will come out in the future but as it stands the whole situation is shady.

Right from the get-go? No, not really. But CZ eventually realized that something was fishy about FTX and the way they handle their customers funds, thus the $500 million liquidation. He's as transparent as anyone in that situation can be. He let the people know that something was wrong with FTX, which was his reason to pull out their investments in the company, whether this caused a bank run or not is still up for debate, but I'm leaning towards the latter, because losing a competitor in a still budding industry like this is tantamount to a whole infrastructure collapse. Something that he of all people, is not keen about. Anyhow, the damage has set in and we are slowly recovering from the fuckups of SBF. If you're trying to pin the blame to CZ for letting people know about the issues that FTX hid from their customers, go for it, but it doesn't change the fact that SBF mismanaged FTX funds, even went so far as to gamble some of it in hopes of recovering losses to fund customer withdrawals.
1773  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Two-edged sword for countries that banned Bitcoin on: January 22, 2023, 07:18:31 PM
It's basically because of the fact that they cannot regulate cryptocurrencies, particularly bitcoin in this situation. They argue that crime could go rampant, and energy will become a massive issue, courtesy of homemade bitcoin mining rigs, if bitcoin is allowed and legalized in their country, which to some extent is true, as some criminal activities and transactions are made through bitcoin let's be honest and the fact that as of now crypto mining is still one big detractor in energy consumption amongst the public. But as OP said in his title, it is a double-edged sword, as it definitely disempowers the public to gain financial capability through bitcoin and the employments it could offer. But the battle is almost over I reckon, more and more countries are accepting of bitcoin compared to those who are against it. Only two outcomes remain.
1774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Your Kids Aware Of Bitcoin? Teach Them. on: January 22, 2023, 06:31:47 PM
The dream of every successful businessman or woman is to have a good successor. you can not be in the light in which bitcoin has brought you to and allow your children to suffer because you failed to teach them the secret behind your wealth. Let your kids know that bitcoin is the surest way to financial freedom, teach them now that bitcoin is of more value than fiat currency, educate them about the importance of bitcoin to mankind, let them know that bitcoin has changed the economy of countries who saw the light in it and adopted it as a means of doing transactions.

Now that your kids are young and vibrant, be their tutor, ensure they are bitcoin oriented, save them from financial dependency, encourage them to rely on bitcoin instead of saving fiat currency that Depreciates now and then.

Our kids represent the leaders of tomorrow, let's teach them about bitcoin now that we can.

I wouldn't say surest really, maybe "most accessible". Because a lot of ventures out there provide long-term profit without the high volatility bitcoin entails, but the thing that sets bitcoin apart from them is the fact that it is easily accessible, even by a toddler with half-a-brain to search in the internet. As long as you have a working internet connection and some money, you can buy bitcoin easily. And there are multitudes of lessons and guides as well on how to flourish in this industry, from trading, to making your own project. This is very different from other ventures out there with trade secrets they don't want to divulge to some nobody. But again, at the end of the day, they are all equally profitable and when done right, would lead you to financial freedom. Be very careful with instilling information to your kids.
1775  Economy / Economics / Re: We are not out of the woods yet on: January 21, 2023, 06:21:47 PM

Well, we can't be so sure of what the price will be in the next few weeks despite how quick the rise of BTC since last week and this week. Like OP said we are yet not out of the woods, there could be challenges ahead since the bankruptcy of other big crypto groups had been in the news over and over.

Who knows what could happen? The market can just crash and spike for a simple reason. But one certain fact is known to us, Halving is in 2024. Right now is still 2023.

Even after the halving, we will not feel the effect of it right away. It will still take some time, maybe months or more than a year before we feel the effect of it. And anything is possible between now and that time. I think, in the past, we experience a sudden drop in the price even after the halving. Price crashes can happen anytime.
If I'm being honest the last week's price of bitcoin is a little insignificant for me, as I believe that the bear market is still far from over despite what other analysts and people may think or predict. Bitcoin and the crypto market is cyclical, and it follows a pattern, in the times that it didn't, it's because there was a huge paradigm shift that happened, prompting people to go bullish on buying cryptocurrencies and bitcoin as a result. This is no different, in fact, the next halving wouldn't happen til sometime next year, so if you'll ask me, unless something major is to happen within this year, I wouldn't put my hopes up on bitcoin entering a bullish season within this year.

In the next five years, it is likely that AI will begin to reduce employment for college-educated workers. As the technology continues to advance, it will be able to perform tasks that were previously thought to require a high level of education and skill. This could lead to a displacement of workers in certain industries, as companies look to cut costs by automating processes. While it is difficult to predict the exact extent of this trend, it is clear that AI will have a significant impact on the job market for college-educated workers. It will be important for individuals to stay up to date on the latest developments in AI and to consider how their skills and expertise can be leveraged in a world where machines are increasingly able to perform many tasks.

I'm personally skeptical on the ability of machine learning/neural networks to fully replace humans. I think it's more likely that it will boost productivity by performing the more simple and routine tasks, but there will still be the need for human touch. People will lose jobs because now a professional will be able to do the work of 2 professionals, but AI won't do the work of all professionals.
ChatGPT is a powerful assistant tool, but through my usage of it over time (I'm a copywriter, and I use a ChatGPT to help supplant me with ideas and new words to use and abuse throughout my works), I would lie if I say it wasn't useful, but it's not on par with how we work. ChatGPT, despite the fact that it is marketed as a conversational and human-like chat tool, still lacks a couple areas in authenticity which makes it stand out when checking comes around. So I don't think the tool will effectively destabilize or even replace white collar work, what I predict will happen is that the tool will be an aid to many people especially within the aforementioned white-collar-sector where it would be indispensable.
1777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's a good idea to just register on casino on: January 21, 2023, 04:56:02 PM
Indeed. But I do think these sign-up bonuses are just there to really trick you into signing up to their platform. Which works for a lot of people. But the main thing is that, well they wanna have you registered to track your progress and activity within their platform, so it's a win-win for the casino and for you. Some may say professional gamblers won't settle for bonuses but those only apply to them. Most gamblers out here do not intend to gamble for fame and acclaim, we either gamble for money and entertainment. So these bonuses are specifically perfect and made for us.
1778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why you should choose Macau casino Lisboa gaming platform!!! on: January 21, 2023, 03:31:05 PM
You barely gave us anything to work with in terms of why we should choose your platform, let alone a reason why we should switch with the ones we have already got accustomed with. Licensing? really? we literally have a lot of reputable casinos out here with licenses that could vouch for themselves, I don't think having a license sets you apart from the main competitors in the market. I do think you need a lot when it comes to promotions, as well as setting people's expectations because just posting something like that here won't do, it even makes your site suspicious if I do say so myself. A lot of good peeps here can put you up with a campaign organizer that could help you promote your project, you should try that.
1779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice on choosing a crypto casino on: January 19, 2023, 09:06:17 PM
I think you did very well to have created this thread, it becomes very difficult to choose a casino especially when the person is new to this cryptocurrency market, well speaking about casinos, I will not tell you to keep searching in the various threads or google because I imagine you created this thread because you want answers from people who are using good and reliable casinos, so I recommend you to use stake.com, without a doubt they are the best casino, you will see many advantages when using stake.com I use this casino and I speak from the good experience I have with them
Its not really that hard if you do really ask me, it is really just a matter of research and effort on seeking out for these things yet you could really find off these things if you are really that eager and serious on doing so.Research is all you do need and some mix of common sense which you could really be able to tell nor differentiate on casinos which are reputable and known compared to those who arent that popular.
There's no question in mind on where or which one you would be choosing because on the time that you would see up things then your own common sense will really tell
you that you should stick into much known ones.
Exactly. Some people out here really making it look like choosing the right casino for you is like looking for the holy grail with all these subjective opinions. What OP wants is a fool-proof system or at least a good recommendation, not some highfalutin bs like some people here. I had to give OP a list of what they want to look for in a casino. While some people give opinions on why this is better, some even praising him for opening a thread which is praise-worthy, don't get me wrong, but it really diverts the topic of what OP wants. Ultimately he just needs to research and decide for themselves if they want to invest their time and effort on this particular casino.
1780  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice on choosing a crypto casino on: January 19, 2023, 08:20:32 PM
Greetings, esteemed community. Could you help me advise? I've seen a lot of topics on the forum about crypto or bitcoin casinos, but I need clarification on their point. As I understand the crypto casino involves paying in different cryptocurrencies, and the bitcoin casino involves only bitcoins. How to choose a casino, is there a criterion for this, or do you just go to any casino and play? It's a rash move without preparation. Also interested in a payment system, which is recommended to play in such casinos? Or just a suitable crypto wallet? I apologize for my silly questions, but I want to understand everything once and for all.
Well, you're on the right board to ask this so expect a ton of response and of course advices maybe from pro or just a leisure gambler just like me. Choosing a casino is subjective and we have different kind of tastes on how we choose it. Don't just go in a casino especially if they aren't that a reputable one, always DYOR before you even sign up with them. If I were you, choose those casino/s that has lot of options for payment methods.
At most times it is subjective but for me it doesn't have to be. There are telltale signs of a casino being great and that's where I mostly bank on. Sure, tastes could really affect how you would answer OP's questions but this guy is most likely a newbie, I don't think giving him/her your subjective opinion about how to choose a good casino is going to help him. I'm looking at comments from these people giving him circular definitions of things when it could just be plain and simple. They clearly want help, we should give them objective thoughts only and remove bias from the setting.
