2761  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE - 🎲🎲🎲 Treasure Chest Is Back! 🎰🎰🎰 on: August 20, 2018, 12:05:56 PM
If Bitdice intends to be a serious competitor competitor vs the likes of Nitrogen or Bitcoin Rush, it have to offer lines that should be as good or better imho.  And it should also offer poker as most sports gambling enthusiasts are in it for the skill part of the 'gambling game'.  Poker is a good complement for any gambling site anyway...
Adding a new genre of gambling games in their site is not to be rush with especially when they are still on the stage of implementing the sports bets on their website which still has no particular date on, just imagine adding new games without really any demand for it, the additions would be worthless. As soon as sports bets are online they must focused more on adding promotions in order to get some share in the market from NitrogenSports and Bitcoin Rush also by doing so they will make themselves known that they are competing with the two sites now. Maybe they need to grow their players/members on the new games before they could start adding more games such as poker.

It is a good thing that you are actively participating bounties and airdrops even though you are earning just a little bit from it, but for people in your scenario who don't want to put some more money/capital from your wallet the next big thing you do is to trade the cryptocurrencies you have accumulated from the bounties and airdrops you have participated other than that is to do freelance work where you accept cryptocurrencies as payment.

But as a newbie in the cryptocurrency market I won't suggest that you go right away trading cryptocurrencies as it is really risky even if we are still on the bottom part of the bear market. You really need to study first and create a mock portfolio on a crypto management app such as blockfolio to test out what you have learned so far, this is the best thing you can do for your trial and error as you won't really be using your money.
2763  Economy / Economics / Re: Americans own less stuff because of the Internet. Is that a worry? on: August 19, 2018, 07:12:26 PM
I was actually interested in reading the article until the website cut it short and blocked the rest of the article with a pop out telling me I need to log-in and subscribe to access the "exclusive" article nevertheless I'll still try and contribute my opinion about it. It is true the internet is actually affecting our lives in a bad way the more we are stuck doing nothing and just entertaining ourselves with websites such as Facebook and Youtube we will actually be less productive as the time being consumed doing those activities takes a lot instead of doing something more productive like try to earn money in other ways besides our job. The internet trapped us from products we really don't need to social media websites/apps we think is now part of our lives.
2764  Economy / Reputation / Re: Green trust account seller on: August 19, 2018, 03:24:01 PM
I don't think painting him red would affect his sales at all as his potential customers are also (somehow) breaking a rule as account sales are a highly discouraged thing to do in the forum also he is using a newbie account which is likely a throwaway account in order to advertise his products. Also the buyers also know somehow that they are risking their money just by transacting with a Newbie seller using a third party service. What we should do is to red tag the accounts he is selling instead which I think is a hard thing to do as he is selling it via a third party service.
2765  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Is blockchain really needed for security? on: August 19, 2018, 01:54:43 PM
Blockchain's purpose is not only about security but also about transparency of the recorded transaction. The transparency of each recorded transaction is one of the best things this technology has given to us as it is like a irreversible public ledger. This technology is also inexpensive to audit and will take less time to verify unlike having your own "secure database" where you still need to worry about other costs not to mention its system reliability might not be good. That is why a lot of companies are already exploiting the idea of this blockchain technology and turning them into patented technologies like how Walmart successfully patented the blockchain technology on a system for storing medical records.
2766  Other / Meta / Re: Community generated suggestions to improve the forum (+ eventual voting on them) on: August 19, 2018, 12:53:40 PM
I like the idea as well, when it comes to security, it is something that we should prioritised. But, can I ask something? Is it possible to capture the user who is trying to access your account (when there is a failed log-in attempt) by using the front camera of the device if possible? and the image captured will be sent directly to your email address that is associated in in your account. Some security app supports this feature and I don't know if SMF or any website supports this feature but this would be somehow a cool one. But will be useless if the device's camera is covered.

As far as I know only applications are capable of this kind of feature so it can be added as security feature once there is a official app for Bitcointalk  Grin but still a bad idea since application softwares are reversedengineer-able or can be modified to use for phishing.
I don't know if websites have a proper access with your phone's camera or computer's webcam without a software installed that has the capability of doing so unlike apps which already have a program to do that but even them needs to have your device's permission first before they can even access your camera. As for the feature I suggested, my main point about this one is to have some kind of early prevention in order to change your password or even your email (if necessary) and not for the purposes of capturing someone doing the attempt, also I think your recommendation is only useful if you know the identity of that person, capturing an unknown face is useless.
2767  Economy / Gambling / Re: Pornhub Casino now accepting bitcoin and many other cryptocurrency! ph.casino on: August 17, 2018, 02:53:41 AM
I have not heard about Pornhub having a casino. I only know pornhub as an online marketplace for adult materials. If they now have casino, where is this located?
Well they are directly affiliated to them and you can see that they are actually linking and posting pornhub blog links to their ANN thread which I think makes it official, I was a bit skeptical at first but it was clear when I read the blog link they provided. To top it of they do some live casino and the card dealers are known pornstars like Nicole Aniston which she recently performed awhile back during the announcement of this thread.

EDIT:
Here is one of the links I was talking about.
2768  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: EU’s 4th AML Directive Aims to make the Payment Ecosystem Crime Free on: August 17, 2018, 01:32:12 AM
Quote from the link provided :
Quote
An alert and active checking on cash transactions amounting to ten thousand euros has been implemented. This limit has been brought down from fifteen thousand euros. Any transactions exceeding the aforementioned threshold will be considered as ‘obliged entities’. This comes under the extended AML regulations that now place wider range of restrictions on monetary exchanges that are over a particular amount
The 10,000€ is still a big amount and people could still fly under the radar with their cash transactions if they did small tranches of their real transaction multiple times below 10,000€. What they will mostly do is instead of making a whole transaction worth 10,000 they will just do two 5,000€ transactions in order to remain undetected. What if they just monitor or provide a cap on how many transactions you can do everyday it will be more effective compared to only doing the procedure on transactions above 10k.
2769  Other / Meta / Re: Community generated suggestions to improve the forum (+ eventual voting on them) on: August 16, 2018, 09:25:38 PM
For account security purposes I would like to see the forum have a email or any kind of notificatiom about a failed log-in attempt and also a permission via email to allow an unrecognized log-in to a new device or ip address. In this way our accounts will be secure from people who are trying to steal it. This kind of early prevention is similar to what other websites/apps are doing and it might really help a lot of people on protecting their accounts.
2770  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: August 16, 2018, 08:24:07 PM
FortuneJack
Fj that's great news but to my mind it would be better if you add Poker soon on your website and also make blog about poker, something like poker magazine or in better way (but I don't have this hope) you will be bookmaker too and review football (soccer) games. Many casino already does this thing, your blog is good too but if you prioritize gambling related topics like strategy in poker and etc, this will be amazing.
If there is a demand then I don't think FortuneJack will have second thoughts on creating an online poker room/table in their website but I don't think it is in there roadmap right now. Maybe if FJ conducted a survey to their existing members on who has interest in playing poker then they might have a proper decision in the future. But are there really a lot people here playing poker with their BTC? And what site are you actively playing the most?
2771  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it wise to invest in Bitcoin? on: August 16, 2018, 03:16:45 PM
I find it hard to understand your post, did you try to use Google translate as there is barely a constructive sentence in your post? If you are using it I recommend you to stop as Google translate does not change your post construction it only change the words directly without making into a proper English text. What bothers me the most is you just gave a brief history to Bitcoin as well a short description yet you have a conclusion about it being an investment which I fail to see any connection between your intro and your conclusion. Or am I wrong? and you just wanted to ask our opinion about Bitcoin being an investment or not?
2772  Other / Meta / Re: Disable delete option from merited post. on: August 16, 2018, 02:24:30 PM
Great idea on disabling the delete post option for merit post, but every good idea will give this abusers something more sinister to do just in case your idea is implemented in the forum. Just like how they find a loophole on the 24 hours before you can delete your own post on ANN threads, they simply created a self-moderated ANN Thread so that the author of the thread can delete the posts of bump bots, simple solution so that the ANN thread goes up in the first page without the bump bots deleting their own posts. Who knows they might do a similar way to delete their posts for evidence by creating their own thread and deleting it afterwards they have given the merits to the recipients on that thread.
2773  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin in a DotCom recovery phase? on: August 16, 2018, 01:09:54 PM
Bitcoin also took a big hit from this bear market its just that it is considered as a safe haven for a lot of traders during the bear market that is why the gap from other cryptocurrencies is getting bigger as a lot of traders/investors are pulling out there money from altcoins and putting it in to BTC. But for altcoins being left out by BTC when it recovers, I don't think that it will happen even though the gap has widened this altcoins won't be left out, and maybe by the time the market is about to recover holders who have bought BTC as their temporary shelter might buy back their old cryptocurrency holdings as they know that a BTC price rally will signal the whole market to go on a price rally too, just like what happened last December.
2774  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-15] Is Bitcoin A “Cult”? A Former Paypal CEO Seems To Think So on: August 16, 2018, 12:47:56 PM
~snip~
Are you living under a rock? No one in the last 2 years has praised Bitcoin for its low or near free transactions. Free transactions were a thing back in 2011/2012/2013 but it's over. Harris is an idiot.
Dude I just gave an example here in my post on how free transactions still work, I didn't even say that people are praising that BTC has free transfers. Network fee free transactions are still a thing on some 3rd party wallets and there is no minimum/maximum required the only requirement is you have to be using the same wallet as the recipient, transactions happen off-chain which means you won't see the transfer happening in the blockchain website. This free service is useful for everyone and it does not need to be praised by all of us in order to get notice.
2775  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-15] Is Bitcoin A “Cult”? A Former Paypal CEO Seems To Think So on: August 15, 2018, 08:35:21 PM
Quoted from the article provided :
Quote
“The ‘cult’ of Bitcoin make many claims — that it’s instant, free, scalable, efficient, secure, globally accepted and useful. It is none of those things.”
Good thing that the article itself have debated Harris from his beliefs as like what the article said he clearly didn't do his research right. We all know what this rival industries will say to a threat and obviously you won't hear a fair opinion about it. The only thing I can say that Harris is correct is when he said that BTC transactions are not "free" as we have to pay network fees but even that is debatable as some wallet providers provide free transfers when you are sending to the same wallet user (e.g. Coinbase to Coinbase transfers don't have network fees which means you are basically sending money for free)
2776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You want the bear market to stop? Here are some things you can do :) on: August 15, 2018, 06:23:19 PM
  • Are you employed, but your boss is open-minded and a geek? Offer him to pay a part of your salary in Bitcoin. (I would not take my whole salary, it's still too unstable, above all if you have a family.)
This one on your list is flawed for the reason of its legality. Most countries under their labor law when it comes to the payment of their wages the employers must always pay them with their local fiat currency, both the employers and employees don't really have a choice on what money they will pay and receive for their wages. However I have an alternative solution for your suggestion, the employees can always use some part of their salary to buy Bitcoin directly by themselves, with this they have more control at what price they will buy BTC.
2777  Economy / Gambling / Re: Overview of Active Casino/Dice Sites Accepting BTC on: August 15, 2018, 12:05:32 PM
Maybe adding another column for their Trust Score or known notable issues (with a link to their Trust Summary/ Scam Accusation Thread) with the gambling site would solve the problem you are having Hhampuz with some gambling sites you are having a problem adding with the list. At this point users seeing your list will know firsthand if the gambling site is running in good condition. You can also consider putting them in a special row/section if they are on a active scam accusation/issue.
2778  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: ssi on: August 14, 2018, 02:22:43 PM

I have lost most of my money due to cryptocurrency, due to 1. CoinsMarkets theives, 2. Negative news 3. South Korea and China 4. Ignorant and negative news 5. Trolls on chatrooms giving bad investment advice 6. Laziness, not checking my funds daily. 7. Ignorant people negging and giving negative news about solid coin makers 8. Greedy coin makers screwing me over. 9. Warren Buffet. 10. Trump wanting to tax bitcoin holders.

2018 has been a relentless assault against crypto and a terrible year, it will be forever remembered as the year of the crypto crash.

So if I withdraw now, I will be poorer than last year. But if I hold I may be a millionaire in some years.
Nope do not think about the future here, as I said selling right now won't make a difference in your net worth if you are thinking for applying the benefit now. Tell me one more thing, is your income only coming from cryptocurrencies? You don't have any job or other things for you to earn?

If I speak to a Public Attorney will they keep my information confidential or tell the world I have a couple of cryptocoins?
Public Attorney or not any lawyers who have clients are bound to keep their information between them because they must practice Attorney-Client Privilege, even if the attorney is finished helping you they are still not allowed to disclose information to other people without your permission. To tell your the truth a lawyer will help you more in this case as I don't know the specific minimum numbers if you are eligible or not for the benefit.
2779  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: ssi on: August 14, 2018, 02:08:02 PM
Question with ssi in terms of bitcoin.

I am trying to get ssi for my disability. But I have some storage of various coins, bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin, etc.
I am wondering, do I sell all my coins, in order to be poor enough to get ssi? Or its not needed to sell? Because even though I am not making money on coins now (and only losing money on the coin) I'd hate to miss being a millionaire, 2 years in the future, but I lost out because I sold all my coins. But right now, my coins are giving literally no income, thus I need ssi.
You don't get any poorer if you just sell your cryptocurrencies in its current market value as your net worth will still be the same, the only difference is now your owning a more stable asset which will reflect in your list of assets. But in your case, I don't think you need to sell at all or give up any real property because if you are a REAL disabled person who has limited income/resources (which you are based on your post) you can still apply for an SSI and might be eligible to it. But if you want to make increase your chances you can speak to a Public Attorney about the application of your benefits.
2780  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Wallet crashes on updating block synch on: August 14, 2018, 09:42:06 AM
I've read that you have installed and uninstalled Bitcoin Core as well did you remember to back up your wallet.dat file before you did the process? I have encountered this problem before and it might be more of a hardware or firewall problem of the pc you are trying to connect with. Try to tweak some firewall settings and see if this solves your problem or if this does not work you can also try to install Bitcoin Core on another pc if it solves the problem.
