Nice work. also removed the pthread check in the cgminer configure script when I say i modified the pthread_cancel behavior, I basically turned the cancel call into a SIGTERM...i didn't rewrite the code to do the "right" thing (though, i initially tried and failed). regarding the android build files for cgminer, i had to create the main Android.mk and ones for ccan and jansson. the tricky part in all this was passing/setting the right build environment variables to "configure" for libcurl and cgminer (there are several blogs and forums describing this stuff, but it's still tricky. the Android.mk file in curl is a pretty good reference). |

I was thinking like 100TH/s total hash rate by DEC-JAN. But, the pre-orders just seem to keep rolling in for BFL. I myself placed a few more orders just to secure the return per month I'm looking for.
All you can really do with any sort of accuracy is speculate on total hash rate after the asics hit based on published order information. I think by Jan 2014 the network hash rate should be relatively stable with a relatively small amount of growth each difficulty increase. People may still continue buying asics after that point, but I think largely the hash rate at that point will be the hash rate until 2017.
If the difficulty goes to high I could see some smaller miners switching over to alt coin chains.
IIRC, BFL has ~100TH/s of confirmed pre-orders. Cablepair has ~30TH/s, and Avalon has another ~18TH/s. Cablepair's gone up a bit - I heard 650 of the 54Gh/s units, which would put BTCFPGA on >35Th/s I suspect hes over 700 of the 54Gh/s Units, atm. |

enter an email address into txt recieptiant on phone. Dunno if it works for your network, but on mine the service provider forwards txts to emails (im talking on a dumbphone not fancy-pants idevices and whatnot) Yes that works also. |

One of my new rigs - 3x5830 + 3x5850 = 2.2GH/sAnd no the Mobile Phone isn't a detonator  I'm using it to restart the PC if it crashes.I'm interested in your method for this Same here...  It looks like he's just using the phone as a hinge wired up to a momentary restart button wired up to the motherboard backwards. He may be using the vibrator motor to trigger a relay that trips the power going to the psu? I was thinking more along the lines that the wires are connected to a sensor in the crate and the phone monitors the state of it. If the state changes the phone dials or txts the owner. The owner then txts back and wires from the vibrator connected to the momentary power switch on motherboard trigger the switch. Or instead of the phone actively monitoring the wires just short out speed-dial 1 or something. Nope, i'm aware of that. I was referring to his post that attracted inaba to the thread. (he called out *** on their 1W/Gh claim). This slingfest and negativity could have been avoided, and hopefully will stop now. I don't see an issue with calling out the 1 watt/gh claim. Esp. considering his supporting evidence shows that BFL has in the past grossly overestimated their stats. BFL numbers are based on calculations not actual devices. I will believe it when I see it given their past history. Tom has address the power issue here before, saying he would give an actual estimate when he has boards in his hand as he doesn't want to give an unreasonable number. He has stated his power draw will be competitive and I believe him given his past transparency and reliability. This is just Josh trolling plain an simple. I wish BFL would hire more competent people to handle PR as all Josh is doing his making his company look worse and as evidenced from this thread making people question (more so than Tom could ever do) if their purchase with BFL was right. It has been a difficult challenge for both BFL and Tom/cablepair to conduct business on this forum. BFL has stated that they wish to avoid the Bitcointalk community and for good reason. Tom/cablepair has been working on getting his companies own website with a forum for some time. BFL_Josh has been professional on the Offical BFL website. On bitcointalk he's been less professional I will give you that. I have put my money on the fact that BFL will deliver their Mini SC units close +/- 10% of posted specs some time in November. I have also put money that Tom's Offering will be "competitive" when he makes public the information he was reluctant to present and for good reason. I look forward to purchasing further custom technology from both companies with their future offerings. Please also realize that both companies have been working to produce their ASIC offering under the watchful eyes of other competitors as well. And with that said.....
