If you buy bblackcin they'll ship you a novelty bag from the same guy who's doing the coffee mugs
2782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: April 15, 2014, 11:58:45 AM
No they're right, Blackcoin is a Bitclone with slightly faster transaction times and PoS.

There's nothing revolutionary about this coin and it was being pumped and dumped and now it'll fade into obscurity

I've never been able to mint once.  Huh  Windows wallet

How does the grass smell?  How's the plan to dethrone LTC again?  Oh wait.

I called it.  Mintpal and Vertcoin did this 90 days ago.  Black Coin was being pumped and dumped.  It'll fall down to $3 million and stagnate into a coma.
2785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NEM] NEM -New Economy Movement - No Envy Movement - Updates+Discussion thread on: April 15, 2014, 10:53:04 AM
There's no solid evidence that PoS is the way to go.  PoS has been out for ages and NxT & Peercoin never dethrone LTC.
2786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NEM] NEM -New Economy Movement - No Envy Movement - Updates+Discussion thread on: April 14, 2014, 06:48:42 PM
Why NAS?  NXTL seems better
2787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2nd Generation Altcoins? NXTcoin, eMunie, SKYcoin on: April 14, 2014, 02:04:10 PM
Fuserleer (eMunie) may be a brilliant programmer but sucks as a businessmen.    The coin's been in development so long that other coins have taken eMunie's best features.  Leaving that coin with a terrible inflation model and an ugly UI and some of the worst PR for an unreleased coin.
2788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NEM] NEM -New Economy Movement - No Envy Movement - Updates+Discussion thread on: April 14, 2014, 01:57:17 PM
I disagree. There were 73 initial stakeholders in Nxt, they didn't dump and Nxt price grew pretty fast. Less initial stakeholders = less problems. Few people can always talk to each other and work out a plan of development and marketing. I got into Nxt and Nas too late. Not even right after IPO was over but still had a profit. I could be sitting without money and bitching about millions of initial stakeholders, but instead of that I bought some coins and made good money. Not great money like them, but still good enough to have an opportunity to invest in other new coins.

ROFLMAO!    Grin

Not sure what you were laughing at, but him rationalizing an intentional poor distribution isn't very ethical.
2789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Alt coin to invest in 2014 on: April 14, 2014, 01:50:30 PM
NEM and NXT will be top onces.

I second that! And I think NAS will be one of the best coin 2014.
Now I am buying this NXT and hope I will be rich in 2015 because I also sure this is coin for future

Explain about NxT?

2790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mintpal is a scam. on: April 14, 2014, 01:47:22 PM
Sounds like you had the bag for a mining coin.

PoS is the way to go for now.
2791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Alt coin to invest in 2014 on: April 14, 2014, 01:44:13 PM
Why would NxT recover?

2792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / new or upcoming PoS? capitalization under 1 million? on: April 14, 2014, 01:41:30 PM
Zeitcoin (at $900ish right now)
Whitecoin

Any others I could be missing?
2793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When/if will BlackCoin crash? on: April 14, 2014, 12:00:30 PM
BlackCoin does not have services to prop up its price. Price seems to be propped up by multipools and speculators.

Discuss.

With all do respect, have you been in a coma the past week and just woke up? BC is on CoinKite, Moolah, and Coinpayments to just name a few. In a few weeks we are shipping the BlackCoin card, and there is a lot being done behind the scenes to get BC everywhere. Everyone can speculate and try to predict when BlackCoin price is going to stop increasing, but it is all speculation. BlackCoin is not an ordinary crypto-currency. BlackCoin has a brilliant developer, an awesome support team, a passionate community, and my 14 years of experience building & promoting products. We have amazing things in the pipeline that will leave everyone in awe. So feel free to speculate, but I assure you the only thing that will be popping is the corks of champagne when BackCoin value reach $1.00 by Sunday.

Mintcoin and Vertcoin pulled the "hail Mary" speech like you just made.

Blackcoin is a Bitclone with a few minor improvements and old PoS, it's a $hitclone which is currently being pumped and then it'll be pumped and then dumped and left to die.

Nobody needs a novelty card, coffee mug, mouse pad or whatever  you're selling.
2794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXTL: Next Coin Lite - Officiall Topic - Fair Distribution on: April 14, 2014, 11:38:19 AM
NXTL:  17780801381767481802

73 weeks behind updating Bitcoin wallet but I'll send funds out when possible.  I would use Mintpal but I don't know if that's allowed nor do I know how to attain records for it since it sends out coins through their wallet.
2795  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Rome against austarity. Violence ensues. on: April 14, 2014, 11:04:35 AM
I was watching international house hunters and they featured a rich old American woman who relocated to Rome, bought a three bedroom apartment for herself and then took a local service job for a 'social life'.   Huh    Here I was thinking that woman was taking a job from some Italian woman who needed one and she is exacerbating the housing bubble in Rome and making it more difficult for local families to afford housing.

What a crap world we live in.
2796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When/if will BlackCoin crash? on: April 14, 2014, 06:05:28 AM
The next big thing will be an anonymous coin IMO.

As countries start to try to crack down on/tax BTC you'll see the need for people to hide their transactions. Plus there are a lot of people holding big BTC balances who would like to hide their sales. And then there's the black market. All signs point to anonymous for mine.

My money is on Darkcoin but we'll see which one succeeds first!

The problem with your theory is assuming that this is proprietary to Darkcoin, when various alternates have discussed implementing it themselves.  As well, by default, most coins are already anonymous in the sense that your personal information is not included on the public ledger.

I think you meant hidden transactions and I think the assumption there is that if you're that paranoid about being traced then you're probably more likely to keep the stuff in cold storage.

2797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When/if will BlackCoin crash? on: April 14, 2014, 05:55:38 AM
It's a pump and dump.  A month and a half ago the pump of the month was Mintcoin and Vertcoin.

There's nothing special about Blackcoin at all and here are the reasons

- Faster Transaction speeds ~ a lot of alternate coins can claim this too
- Proof of Stake.  Old mechanism ~ Peercoin, NxT and other coins have had this for ages
- Bitclone (the client is a reskin of BTC)
- Distribution.  Top 100 wallets own the majority of Blackcoin.
- Novelty merchandise

I know the Bagholders and Whales will say I am a naysayer but there's absolutely nothing here to push Blackcoin into the $100+ million capitalization and let alone to keep it there.

Litecoin was a fluke, in part due to the dumb funds who missed out on BTC and threw money on LTC, and it's not likely to be repeated since those funds have since learned their lesson and realize they sit on worthless LTC coins.

You do realize there is life outside of BTC right?

LTC was the positioned alternative to BTC, now all other "alts" are the alt to BTC and LTC, about a month ago when BTC was going down, LTC decided to go in a differnt direction (people moved their non performing BTC $$$s to LTC), up, up, and up.   But as soon as BTC made tracks back to the profitland the btc believers returned.   Now we are back to the same situation except this time BTC, and LTC has gone now (most others too) so what do CC speculators do, they look down the Market cap list, they look over the list of other CCs, and they start to examine other charts to see which are ripe for picking.  That's how so many "alts" get action, when the big guys fail to perform.

As new CC player enter the market they won't know BTC as the one and only, they will simply just know it as the biggest/oldest, but they will be accustom to seeing BTC as much as LTC, DOGE, Ripple, NXT, PPC and a host of others.   Once there is a fiat to alt coin exchange (I thing there are some beta) with the strength of a Coinbase you will see tremendous competition on a primary level not just a secondary level (buy BTC with fiat to get alt).

Yes, all other clones didn't work, but THIS clone will replace both LTC and BTC Grin
Now go buy on top of the bubble Grin

Something's going to replace LTC. Or maybe LTC will just slowly dwindle, I don't know. Someone make a case to me for Litecoin's long-term existence because I'm not seeing it.

I don't see its' long-term existence either but I'm not seeing a replacement, either.  Litecoin was a huge fluke and it was funds, who missed the BTC train, who pumped it to that valuation (there were several days when LTC volume exceeded BTC) and now they're stuck with essentially worthless LTC (can't withdraw it without killing LTC).

explain further what you mean there

No different than the stock market - if you own most of a commodity you're stuck with accumulated assets that you can't withdraw less you want to start a sell panic.

Peercoin was invested by the funds too and it resulted in the same - Mastercoin I think as well but that may had been more middle investors.

When we buy and are left holding the bag - do we get a free Blackcoin novelty bag?  That would be neat.   Grin  Cheesy
2800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Alt coin to invest in 2014 on: April 14, 2014, 03:55:55 AM
I  don't think there is anything unique about Blackcoin - it's a Bitclone with PoS (old mechanism) and poor distribution (top 100 wallets control more than 53%.  Wallets =/= unique people) and some rhetorical improvements ("faster than Bitcoin, blah blah")

It's currently the pump and dump.  Looking back 90 days the PnD used to be mintcoin and vertcoin.

Distribution is very good considering the age of the coin. IMO, you can't really compare it to established coins. There's a limit to how much distribution is possible this early in any coin's development. Distribution improves a lot on the way to any coin establishing itself, as the price rises. Holders get more and more tempted to sell with each rise after the tipping point. Hypothetically, if BC really has the steam and built up to $25, the distribution would look worlds better at that point. I'm fairly sure BTC, LTC and most of the big players had far worse distribution at this point in their development. There are established coins that still do.

PoS is old, yes... but there has not been a full PoS coin before. Only hybrids.

NxT is more full PoS than Blackcoin ever was (which had an initial mining phase).  That being said, NxT coin died after hitting $90+ million when all the FUD about distribution brought it down.

Nobody is saying you need a distribution involving 30,000 people or 6 billion people, but nobody wants to invest into a ponzi scheme where a very small handful of people reap all the benefit.

According to the top Bitcoin wallet list, which include exchanges, there's only 700 wallets with amounts over $1 million and wallets does not =/= unique persons (it's well known that wealthy BTC whales break up their funds into multiple wallets as a security measure).

.  I don't see how Blackcoin is shaping up to be any better than BTC - in fact - it's likely going to be worse.

I wouldn't bring up distribution comparisons with BTC as BTC back then had little value and it was more a hobby.  In contrast, all these alternate coins are deliberately creating ponzi schemes based on the assumption their coin could hit $12 billion and the inner circle of early birds / friends / speculators will walk away with 100s of millions each.
