2781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: March 10, 2022, 12:19:22 PM
But Spence is really confident that he will beat Ugas in this fight, even going to the public and says that he is not Manny Pacquiao and he is better than him, so this fight for him is a mismatch. But as you have said, one thing to be arrogant, and you have to back it up in the fight.

The same confidence with Ugas too, much even higher than what I think . Ugas is hungry for the title and the moment he got a chance to do it against Pacquiao, he never lets go of the opportunity. Spence is confident because who is Ugas by the way on his dictionary. Just a boxer that become popular because he beat Pacquiao.

I hope Spence being arrogant should not pay him a scenario he doesn't want to experience.

I'm with Ugas here but to take advantage of betting with him, bookies should give him a big odds to win. Smiley

Odd is still very attractive, 3.75 ML for Ugas. So for gamblers and Ugas fans, this is really good and who knows, he might hit another milestone with a huge upset against a arrogant Spence who don't show respect on him.

Of it's just Spence believes in his talent that he can win against everyone, including Bud Crawford. The fight that we also wanted to see.

Knowing Spence, he really has that attitude that he believes his talent can't match with anybody in their weight class.

See how sure he is to expect some win after that horrific car injury. That's how high he believes in himself.

Now that totally fully recovered from that crash, what's more? To be fair, he is really strong, no question about that. But what makes me have the interested to pick Ugas to win the fight is, I really want an upset win by him and see what will happen to Spence career after that.

I guess the car crash is really eye opener for him, or maybe it just really hardened him up because if he can beat that car crash and come back in boxing and win against one of the toughest fighter in that division (Shawn Porter), then he has the confidence that he can beat everyone else even Manny although he just to beat another injury (eye). Now he is going to face Ugas. And we see him as the favorite again, so he will do everything to continue his undefeated record and then look for the biggest fight in the division next.
2782  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is getting more bearish, what is the trigger? on: March 10, 2022, 03:00:32 AM
Most people will buy when the market is green and this I often do too, and the second mistake is to sell when the market is red because of panic and thinking that bitcoin has no hope of going up, I think the biggest factor that influences is psychology and we are not ready for bad things like the price could go down.

The opposite should be done, buy when the market is in red and then sell when it's goes green.

Maybe this is just a rookie mistake, or if investors are learning how the market works and most of the time it involves emotions

I mean when the market is red, everyone panics and think that the price will continue to go down hard so they sell. The best thing to do is not to be alarm and what till the market settles down. On the contrary, inside of selling everyone should buy at this scenario.

A coin that was in the battle with regulators are not worth to be invested.

50/50, IMHO.

What if they won their case against SEC? What do you think of the price?

For me this is a landmark case and if ever they beat SEC then for sure the price will go up and it will set a precedence in the crypto industry. So we will see, it seems that this is going to be a long and hard grind fight for them.
2784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 09, 2022, 03:15:09 AM
Perhaps it will be just sign in April and the actual month might happen in the next coming months.

I don't think they have plans to do the fight the same month or even the same week with Casimero fight against Butler.

There's actually nothing wrong if the fight will be held the same month but should not be on the same week.

But my concern is, how's the preparation time? There could be an advanced prompt that those 2 boxers received to prepare early which is not disclosed to the public because their match is likely to happen.

I read the article and it's clear that Arum pointed out that the match is in April, not a signing. But I agree, it seems a rush. They can do it the month later which is in May but if there's no problem between Inoue and Donaire, then all set up next month.

Yes, that's the point, it's a rush, boxers needed at least a good 8 weeks to train and then we have the promotion.

So we will see, maybe they are really started this training already and just didn't divulge it to the public. We all know that Arum is a master planner so this could be part of his grand plan about this fight. Create hype and portray that they don't have enough time to prepare for the fight.

It's because the fight has been in works since January of this year.

Quote
The first fight was recognised as a modern day classic and now it looks as though bantamweights Naoya Inoue and Nonito Donaire are going to do it again. As per a tweet that was put out by boxing writer Manouk Akopyan, the two champions have started negotiations for an April rematch, with Donaire’s Probellum promoter Richard Schaefer informing Akopyan of the news. And this is indeed exciting news.

https://www.boxing247.com/boxing-news/naoya-inoue-vs-nonito-donaire-ii-eyed-for-april/210694

So there is no master plan from Arum, simply they have this in works since the start of the year and could have sign the contract like in February or early March. And that's why they just announced it this week. So they have been preparing for this fight months ago prior to the official announcement.

I suspect if there was any concern on Djokovic's part about Lacoste terminating
his contract it would probably be the embarrassment of it all but yea he will get a new
deal for sure.

I assume this move would be fueled by what happened earlier this year in
Australia, is it worthy of a termination of sponsorship though?

Indeed, it was due to the controversy that Djokovic involved himself in the Australian Open.

He could get a new deal, but he could lose more and maybe Lacoste is just the beginning.

As far as Venus W. goes, she is being hired as a brand ambassador by Lacoste, so perhaps it doesn't concern if she is going to play or not. She may have to travel and represent the brand or even model for them.
2786  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: March 09, 2022, 01:39:25 AM
The only thing that makes this fight anticipated is that this involves Canelo Alvarez. Other than that, the anticipation is not this high. That Dmitry Bivol is Canelo's opponent does not make this fight anticipated. It does not make this fight exciting at all. The odds says it all. But I am still considering the possibility of an upset. Bivol has the youth in him and has the advantage in terms of stats. If he only keeps Canelo at a distance he will make it to a unanimous decision. But this is still an uphill battle for him.

Still very exciting as Bivol is undefeated, has a good knock out percentage. So there is slight chance of an upset if Bivol hit him square. We haven't seen Canelo being tested since the GGG fight, all his opponents in 168 just breaks down from Canelo's attack. I think Bivol will be a tough match for him at the Light Weight so this will be a good match up.

Since this is the first time that Canelo will fight after deciding to move up, we are all ended up speculating on who's the dominate one to each other. It's good that Bivol is the one that targeted by Canelo to test his skills.

Bivol should not be treated as heavy underdog on this fight even most are eyeing for Canelo to win.

On the possibility of fighting GGG, regardless of the result of this fight, Canelo might likely to push the fight against GGG.

Yes, but the magnitude of the hype between the two will double up if both will win their respective fights.

Bivol might be the underdog, but this is his weight class so for sure he is more familiar as compare to Canelo although he has fought in this division already, will have to make the move again. Bivol will have to embrace his underdog status but prove it differently in the right and we hope that it will really be a competitive fight.

2789  Economy / Speculation / Re: If Russia goes full Bitcoin adoption on: March 07, 2022, 02:15:58 AM
Perhaps not the majority of wealthy Russians locked in their wealth into Bitcoin. Maybe just a couple who wants to try this new assets but for sure just a portion of their wealth.

And most probably their wealth is liliquid already, stocks, oil, gold. So it doesn't have a net positive for Bitcoin as we can see it right now. Bitcoin will be there no doubt for both Russians and Ukrainians, but I don't think they will go full retard and put all their money on Bitcoin market.
2790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TALK token good to invest ? possible X50 increase after listing in DEFI ? on: March 06, 2022, 01:30:27 PM
Hi guys you think TALK token good to invest at current price ? You think the price can jump to 10 sat or higher ?
It's best to avoid buying shitcoins listed on the Yobit exchange or shitcoins launched by the exchange so as not to suffer losses later because so far many people have claimed that Yobit is a fraudulent exchange, a few years ago many users had to suffer losses because they invested with shitcoins that launched by the Yobit exchange, one of which is with a coin called LIZA.

I agree, there was a lot of coins when they have their signature campaigns in this forum years ago. And then they offer their own tokens and listed some shitcoins and that's it. Lots of negativity of them that's why I was surprised that they are still in circulation even though there's a lot of accusations on that exchange. So I would suggest to really stay away from them, unless someone really wants to lose their money by investing on some shady shitcoin listed on Yobit.
2791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: March 06, 2022, 12:29:03 PM
I just came across one tennis news story that surprised me.

''Andy Murray back with Ivan Lendl who helped him win Wimbledon, US and Olympic titles''
''Ivan Lendl and Andy Murray are getting back together again, with the two due to start work in the United States next month.''

Source: https://www.bbc.com/sport/tennis/60618699

As for Murray, I was actually expecting completely different news, that he was finally retiring from tennis after a long tennis break due to numerous injuries.
What is truly amazing is his great perseverance and love for tennis, and his willingness to continue despite all the problems due to injuries.
That’s why I have a lot of respect for him as a tennis player, but I don’t think even his former coach and tennis legend Lendl can help him get back on the tracks of old glory.
What do you think?

Weird news, isn't it, when we thought that he is done with tennis because of his health and obviously it has affected his performance, comes this news that he will still continue and with Lendl again?

I'm not sure what Andy needs to really quit the game for good. The competition right now is on the highest level and he didn't even win any tournament when he comes back and yet he is still pursuing this tennis dream to at least end the note with one a final championship.
2792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: March 06, 2022, 11:46:35 AM
Is that sealed already? I mean Crawford vs Thurman fight? Never saw any articles though, so I'm thinking this could be just an speculation although chances are high since Thurman just won against Barrios.
Yeah it's still a speculations and no official agreement, Thurman also want to fight with Crawford...so it may likely happen https://box.live/fights/crawford-vs-thurman/

So there is plenty of money for this fight, so Spence should not stay away from fighting Crawford. Both of them are way over 30 years old so just about time that they should look for their future without boxing. So make the most money and this is the biggest paycheck for them for sure. They can split the purse 50-50 simply as that.
It's true there's a good prize if Spence vs Crawford happen, but it just one time huge paycheck... the one who lose will ruin his reputation and popularity. This will make they can't earn more money in the long term, so Spence is play safe here. The highest upset on previous year between Lopez vs Kambosos, Lopez lose all his belts and there's no fight until now.

we need to see first this spence jr vs ugas match first. and maybe, this spence vs crawford is up next. that is, if their respective promoters will agree with the purse split. remember, mayweather vs pacquiao before. their promoters couldnt agree the purse split for their fighters, hence, got it delayed so many times.
with spence jr vs crawford, same thing may possibly happen. if spence will beat ugas, then he should go for crawford next.

Crawford promotes himself now, Spence if I remember it right, is under Al Haymon. So that fight can be made because there's no more promotional hindrance on the side of Crawford. But there are a lot of things to settle because this is a mega-fight, specially the money between the two fighter. Most of the time this is the biggest issue, but hopefully Crawford regardless of what is he is getting, is willing to fight Spence Jr.

2793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Gonzalez vs Martinez on: March 06, 2022, 10:22:52 AM
Congratulations for the both fighters. It is such a great fight. Gonzales made it to the top.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.boxingscene.com/amp/chocolatito-julio-cesar-martinez-masterclass-decision-results--164583

Chocolatito Drops Bombs on Julio Cesar Martinez in Masterclass Decision Win

SAN DIEGO – Roman ‘Chocolatito’ Gonzalez isn’t even close to being done at the top level.

A world class performance in a career filled with many saw Nicaragua’s Gonzalez dominate Julio Cesar Martinez en route to a twelve-round, unanimous decision victory Saturday evening at Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California. Scores were 118-110, 117-111, 116-112 in favor of Gonzalez, the former four-division champion and one-time pound king who is eager to return to the championship picture after a masterclass performance in the DAZN main event.

Wow, I forgot about this fight, so it seems that Martinez is really no match for Gonzalez and for sure with this win, the trilogy fight with Estrada is still on. Hopefully Estrada can recover from the effects of Covid so that him and Gonzalez can settle their final fight. I may have to look for YT videos in order to watch some highlights of the fight.
2794  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good time to buy? on: March 06, 2022, 09:52:46 AM
Try to buy above the 50 day moving average, we just slipped below.   We can speculate on various support levels holding and being a good place to buy but the simplest conclusion is to just buy into momentum which we can all recognize BTC often displays in true bullish periods.

Right, buyers can test the market today, but at small portions and then see how it goes. It's gonna be weekends so that market will be slow, very advantageous for potential buyers.

No bullish periods for now, it seems that we are really in a bear mode and this will continue throughout the next couple of years. So as lessons learn in the past bear market, it's really a good time to accumulate and then wait for the next bull run to sell, easy formula for a good profit.
2795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Shakur Stevenson vs Oscar Valdez 130-pound Title Unification Fight on: March 05, 2022, 08:54:45 AM
Shakur Stevenson's defensive strategy is unmatched, let's see what Oscar Valdez does to destroy it and take advantage of his powerful punch. From the look of it, Oscar Valdez has the upper hand here but his skills will not be counted if he doesn't land any powerful punches to Shakur. He needs to some up with a smooth strategy and it won't be easy for an ordinary boxer but I know Valdez with his experiences can execute it well.
And yet Oscar Valdez is the underdog in this fight? So are gamblers putting defense first against a powerful puncher? Nevertheless maybe Stevenson could be a defensive puncher, but he can also dishes out some good punch output and can counter Valdez in this fight. So we will see which one is going to execute their strategy to the perfection in order to win this fight.
In boxing both things must occur in a boxer to be integral, Valdez's technique and experience is something that cannot be denied, besides that he is a boxer who for me is complete, we cannot say that Shakur does not know what his opponent is like , I'm sure Shakur already knows how to fight against him, and yes, Shakur may be stronger or maybe he looks a little stronger, even so I wouldn't know how to say that he's worth more here'? The experience? Strength, maybe defense? but in boxing it is usually like soccer, the one who scores first has a great advantage, Valdez is very complete and I would bet much more on him for his punch, but if Shakur knows how to fight him well, things change in a big way, and he can give The surprise.
I would agree that Stevenson might be the stronger dude in this fight, after all this is his natural weight and Oscar is going up, although he has fought 2x already. But he do look small in this division but he has power specially in his left hand. On the other hand, Stevenson is a defensive fighter as I have said, and good body puncher, but the odds doesn't do any justice for Oscar Valdez as he is also a champion.

But Oscar Valdez has proven that he can bring his power to this division. Maybe the odds maker look at Oscar's previous fight, as he doesn't look good at it. While Stevenson dominated Jamel Herring, another champion.

Nevertheless, this will be an exciting fight as this has been brewing for years as Shakur. So we will see another unification fight this year.
2796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: March 05, 2022, 02:53:51 AM
Really wish we can just finally see Spence fight Crawford.  That would be an epic fight.  Expecting Spence to take care of business here.  Hopefully they can work out the fight details to get the Crawford match done.  Would be one of the fights of the year if they can make it happen.

The possibility for that to happen is high if Spence will win this fight. There's no other opponent left for Spence to unify all the belts but only Terence Crawford. They can do it in September after the April bout between Spence and Ugas.

But I don't hype anymore with Crawford vs Spence due to lots of delays that happened to make that official.

Rooting for Ugas to win the fight as it's more entertaining to see an upset.
Crawford even directly insinuated this after he defeated Porter in his fight some time ago Cheesy
He said "Who is number one in the welterweight division now?" and of course many of them were looking at Spence because it was during the fight that Spence was also there to witness.
Really hope this will happen because indeed this will be one great fight and of course there will be a lot of eyes that want to see this fight

This will happen, I mean there is no other choice for these boxers but to face each other. Spence though has 2 or 3 of the belts and then 1 for Crawford. So if Spence gets past Ugas here, it only make sense for this two to tango in the ring.

The good part is that Spence is not overlooking Ugas right now, he is focus on him and he knows that this is going to be very difficult fight for him. For sure he will talk about Crawford once he win this fight first.
2797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: March 05, 2022, 02:15:28 AM
But on the other hand isn't that Garcia's own wish if I'm not mistaken and indeed in this case it might be a little different because Inoue did this more than once which made some people start to not believe it.
I personally also more believe that this is one they made to push something new. This will inevitably happen but the time is that we are still confused about this.
There is a lot of rumors that a Ryan Garcia VS Naoya Inoue will take place, but it is already in the news that a John Riel Casimero VS Naoya Inoue will also take place, I see there are a lot of boxers that are eyeing the young Naoya Inoue, I don't know why, but there are certain people that keep pushing it Ryan Garcia has 21 Fights and 21 Wins and Naoya Inoue has 22 Fights and 22 Wins, both are undefeated, this is also another exciting fight to watch, but I prefer to see a Casimero VS Inoue fight first.
Isn't Ryan Garcia going to fight Tagoe now and when this happens then indeed to fight Inoue even if it can happen but now it still takes time for that.
On the other hand, I personally see that this is not just age because they are currently still undefeated which makes them always have to be fought in addition to their profits (promoters and gambling houses) this will actually be quite good for the fighters themselves even though the impact is indeed risk of defeat and the opponent is getting stronger.
Well this seems to be the final round depending on whether Inoue will accept or dodge back

I'm curious here too as I don't see any rumors circulating that Naoya Inoue and Ryan Garcia will clash.

It's not with the records but it's a risky move for Inoue to step up on his current weight class then meet Ryan Garcia right away. Not time yet for them to faced each other. Ryan Garcia already used on fighting at LightWeight division and Naoya is just starting yet to feel the LightWeight once he moves up.

I also don't see in a news that there will be Casimero vs Inoue soon. Let's wait for the result of this fight first.
Inoue when he will be faced with Casimero still avoids how he will be faced with Garcia of course Arum will really dislike this lol.
At this time Garcia even though he is young but can be said to be a great boxer killer in my opinion and Inoue is still not the time to fight Garcia.
But I actually really expected Casimero first to appear with Inoue but as you said there is still no clarity about this

I don't think it would happen soon, Inoue is still enjoying his division and we might see him to have another fight with Donaire for a unification fight rather than with Casimero. If he wins, then maybe he will think of moving on, and it's a risky move but he has the power and speed like Pacman so he can possibly be champion in a higher weight class.

That might be the case that Inoue will fight Donaire first for a unification fight before Casimero. Aside from that, I also heard that Donaire is also rumored to face Keith Thurman soon this year or next year after he successfully defeat Barrios after a long lay-off since he faced Pacquiao. Nonetheless, we cannot really tell who is going to face who except if it is agreed both camps.
But the very popular rumor is that Casimero will fight against Inoue if ever he can defeat Butler this April.

LOL, Keith Thurman? no way that Donaire is going to face a big guy at 147 lbs, so 100% this is not true mate, I don't know where you get your sources.

What we want for Casimero is Inoue, I doubt that him and Donaire will face each other since they are now on the same promotional company and seems to patch up things already.
2798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: March 04, 2022, 08:13:13 PM

Well last time when Djokovic didnt have Vajda he was in deep trouble and couldnt win and was injured most of the time. The problem is that Djokovic has Ivanisevic aswell and this is why Vajda probobly left because of not going much to tournament at all. I dont think its due to covid at all

Quite surprising news given the time they already work together. Having a new coach will always bring new insights and tactics but it is not always a good choice to split with long time coaches. See Radanescu, she split with her coach after the US open win and since then, she hasn't really performed. She is offcourse young and there is a lot more pressure on her also.

Well not to forget that six out of twenty Grand-Slam titles have been won with Boris Becker as his coach. What will be interesting to see is whether Djokovic might now be going through a bad phase with all The Australian Open trouble, then the early loss now at the last tournament. He might benefit from a French law regarding the French Open, but right now I wonder whether he really might dominate the tennis world for another couple of years.

Maybe he just need to win one game, one tournament, how big and small just to get back again. For sure we've seen him recovered, from injury and some controversies and still win a title.

So we will see how he will do in the next quarter of the calendar, with a new coach and fresh outlook on the game, perhaps a new version of Djokovic will come out for the better.
2799  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc and future value on: March 04, 2022, 07:18:45 PM
In my understanding, if we have Bitcoin today and hold it for 10 years, and when bitcoin matures and there is a significant increase in price, usability and trust then, we will make huge profits. I believe in the future more innovation, more regulation to adopt bitcoin and other crypto assets. But it's clear that Hold is the winner.

That is a long, in my opinion, if you ar going to hold it for about a year, the thing you should do is to really keep it secure and have the private key and mnemonic phrase safe like in a bank vault or something. And who knows what's going to happen to us in the next 10 years. Plus there is this thing called mental toughness, your resiliency to get pass and not to sell your bitcoin if we reaches all time high. So very very hard to do and hold it for 10 years or so.

Even countries are also easing their no entry policy, but I'm speculating that the "no vax, no entry" is in full effect.

So this will obviously the trend now, and boxing events that have been postponed like the Murata vs GGG might be rescheduled in Japan. There are news that it will like to happen in April. So for sure this fight will have a live gate attendance.

Gonzalez at 1.68 ML as compare to Martinez at 2.15. At least the odds are close.
Hmm, what good news! I believe that little by little we are going back to normal.
And regarding COVID-19 restrictions, it varies from country to country, as each of them has their own rules and laws.

Where I live things are normal (for now), we have several cases of COVID-19 and deaths too.
But this "wave" that we are having now, is not very significant at least in the country where I live.

Yes, hopefully in the next couple of months, with almost the majority being vac + booster the case of Covid-19 will go down and there wil be no new variants.

Same here, the alert levels has been put to the lowest level in years, kids are getting vaccinated, ease of travel. So I'm expecting that boxing and other sports that have crowds will be allowed just like before.
