281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the governments ban all privacy cryptocurrencies ? on: April 25, 2019, 12:03:45 PM
To be honest i don’t trust the governments and you never know what they’re about to do. As we all already know, some governments already tried to ban crypto or at least they were pressuring the investors to make them stay away from cryptocurrency. But in the end, the world is changing and evolving so eventually every government will have to accept the crypto market.

They need to be able to tax the flow of income and money to be able to pay for police, army, hospitals and so on. Therefor they will never accept a full freerange for cryptocurrencies, unless it's their own fully controlled cryptocurrency.
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What was your biggest mistake launching your coin? on: April 25, 2019, 11:21:49 AM
What was your biggest mistake launching your coin? What do you wish to have known now? .. and how long ago did you launch your altcoin?
I have tried launching a coin and it never worked out as I planned it because we had a very big issue which was funds, a lot of startups don't have funds to carry their project to a stage where a lot of investors can here about it thereby investing in the platform, we didn't have enough funds to create awareness about the platform, so we just had a project of great potential that no one knew about, I had to stop the project even though the blockchain was already running because I had no funds to continue working on it.

What was your original budget? Which "new" expenses didn't you expect? Thank you.

That is a good thing that newbs left, right and centre don't launch coins every day, that would flood the market with worthless copy/paste shitcoins with very minor adjustments to the code.
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you borrow in cryptocurrency? on: April 25, 2019, 11:16:43 AM
Borrowing in cryptocurrency is a very bad idea and I cannot do it, it is the same thing as borrowing to invest. This is wrong because you are not in control of the price of any coin or tokens you want to invest in and if any unforeseen circumstances happens then you are doomed. And also when the payback period of the loan or money borrowed is due, you might have not made returns from the money borrowed which will make you to start sourcing for other means to repay the money back.
exactly... for example, we borrow 1 Bitcoin when Bitcoin is priced at $ 2000 then the price of Bitcoin rises to the price of $ 5000, indeed our debt is only 1 Bitcoin but the value is far different, so I think borrowing in cryptocurrency is a bad idea.

It's the same problem 3world countries have when they borrow in dollar terms, then their local currency tumbles and they owe the same amount of dollars, but a lot more in their local fiat currency.
284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the governments ban all privacy cryptocurrencies ? on: April 25, 2019, 11:12:08 AM
Since 2016 I've been hearing about ban on privacy coins which till date it doesn't happen, same as some are spreading news that bitcoin will die but keeps getting better, I think it's never going to happen and we will keep getting more better privacy coins

Yeah sure, but if you want to purchase big ticket items like a house, a car or a tv, you need to get it registered in your own name for ownership rights. Then how private is it?
285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Welcome to the future on: April 25, 2019, 11:05:53 AM
In the near future people won't have choice but to embrace cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, whether you are in support or not ,whether you hate it or not ,you will be the one to stand up and embrace crypto yourselves without anyone forcing you to ,adoption is simply adoption ,love it or hate it
Bitcoin will be the king of all currencies and there will be many coins born with improvements and applications to life. Therefore people will have to accept good and useful things from the crypto market. I realize that many countries are applying and accepting the technologies that Blockchain is bringing.

Don't think so. 21 million max emission is far too low to make it a viable solution for the masses of the world. If it had been 21 billion it would have had a shot at it.
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the governments ban all privacy cryptocurrencies ? on: April 25, 2019, 07:29:13 AM
The fact that governments try to suppress privacy coins is precisely what gives them a use case - they are untrackable, making efforts to ban them futile. However, not having government approval could affect their value for investors.

Untrackable and untrackable. If you decide to buy something with crypto and have it delivered to your door and maybe you even have to sign off on some deliverynote. Then it can be traced/linked to you with your name at your houseaddress.
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Stablecoins have a future? on: April 25, 2019, 07:23:26 AM
I think that if the governments of the world one day were to massively engage in cryptocurrencies, it would probably come in the shape of a stablecoin of sorts. Maybe linked to the price of gold or silver.
288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Welcome to the future on: April 25, 2019, 07:15:54 AM
I am very supportive of the existence of crypto and the development of blockchain technology at this time, developments continue to be made to make it easier for users. I always look forward to crypto being accepted throughout the world and recognized.
There are so many benefits to the users of the crypto currency, in future I am sure crypto currency will improve even more than this, our future is with crypto currency, it will be legal currency and more companies will accept it as payments,. Blockchain is gaining more downloader’s as blockchain is the best wallet which is the most reliable wallet.

It might be legal currency at some point in the future, but that may probably not be one of the cryptoes you see today. Probably more in the lines of a government backed/controlled and issued cryptocurrencies.

Todays cryptoes might still exist in the future side by side, but probably not as a crypto legal tender.
289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would you do to recover your losses? on: April 24, 2019, 07:10:19 AM
I just recovering my losses by using just a stop loss. However, you cannot even recover your loss due to the loss you had accepted. No one.

You're not going to recover any losses by using a stop loss strategy, you are simply going to hinder your losses from escalating. That is a big difference though.
290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What coin should I 'mine' with my laptops? on: April 24, 2019, 07:05:50 AM
Hello,

I have two laptops with good specs eating dust. I thought to set them to work as nodes or miners or something like that. See if it's worthwhile.

The specs of my best laptop are i7, 16 GB RAM, 1.xx GHz, Windows 10. The other is a 4GB RAM laptop. I think it's i5, but I don't know the exact specs from the top of my head.

I'm a newbie in staking and mining and I don't want to install Ubuntu or Linux. I'm not an IT guy.

It can be leading or non-leading coins. That doesn't matter.

Does anyone have tips and suggestions about where to start and what to mine?

Thanks in advance.

I highly recommend mining coins that are already in the market and easy to mine, yes you can mine these coins using your browser or through folding@home .

These two coins are https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/banano and https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/jsecoin/

You can mine even if you have a lower spec because they are browser base

Yeah sure, if you want miniscule profits you can mine the coins that are already in the market and that are easy to mine. If you want possible better and/or more riskier profits I suggest to start to mine the newest coins.
291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would you do to recover your losses? on: April 24, 2019, 07:02:42 AM
Desperation can lead to further losses. Learn from your mistakes and find yourself another way to recover your loss. Investing in a hyped coin is risky; this is not recommended even if you have a strong urge or not. Always have a proper mind set and don't enter something you're not sure and knowledgable of.

I agree. it's like when you gamble on sportsbetting and start to lose money and want to win it back. If you are poor at "betting" in the cryptomarket, you are most likely to continue to lose even more.

Don't play in the crypto world if you are afraid of the heavy losses that will come before you. this is all a good way, Even though nowadays everyone experiences the same thing by constantly complaining.

Sure, I see your point. Although in the last few weeks Bitcoin has been somewhat on the rise, but those that held onto their holdings and didn't sell at the peak in 2018 are still very much in the red right now.
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Welcome to the future on: April 24, 2019, 06:43:29 AM
We must embrace Blockchain technology because this is the technology of the future. We are now facilitated by this technology because you can have additional jobs that can generate profits. And sometimes the results obtained from Crypto are greater than your main job.

Well, lets embrace the good parts of it and not so much the bad aspects of blockchain technology as a whole. Let me give you an example, for instance the waste of electricity to mine cryptocoins would lead to more pollution of nuclear and coal plants.
293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Are Mining Still Profit? on: April 24, 2019, 06:37:03 AM
Why people are still doing if it's not profitable. But I'm afraid to get into this business because of electricity charges.
a really risky job. I would like to do mining and I will ask help my friends for this   Smiley
This is only beneficial if there is free electricity.

That is not always the case though. Cheap electricity is important of course, but if you can get into mining a fresh new coin at an early stage before the difficulty rises to much then you can make lots of money.

I think best mining option is to use mining rigs to mine, any other form of mining is almost next to nothing, except there are actually less difficult coins to mine with your pc which can be profitable and worth your time, otherwise better to join a good pool as advice above or engage in trading if you are good in trading, if neither of this, then buy and hodl what suits you.

The only best case scenario I can think of mining with a laptop for a short period of time, is a completely new coin that will moon later on and become very populare. Then maybe it will be worth your while.
296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Welcome to the future on: April 17, 2019, 09:15:06 PM
What kind of "bright future" you guys want to promote? I don't think, governments will let the crypt companies take a payment gateway leadership and this is not the first time we live in such situations.

Not so sure about that, they might just face the fact that if you cannot beat them, then join them. Would very much depend on the type of governments out there of course.
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What was your biggest mistake launching your coin? on: April 17, 2019, 09:12:46 PM
The biggest mistake was the idea to launch my own coin, haha  Grin
Lack of experience and strict plans. Trying to spend all the ICO budget to make everything in a proper way. Wasting much time trying to prepare everything for the crowdsale.

Everybody wants to strike it rich right. If one lacks the skills and the right team to launch a proper coin, then one should not try to do so at all. You would be better off just investing your resources in a better project that a pro team ICO's.
298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the governments ban all privacy cryptocurrencies ? on: April 17, 2019, 09:05:53 PM
I'm considering to buy and hold some privacy coins for long term. I read some articles and they said governments are taking harsh stances on privacy coins. Do you think they will ban all privacy cryptocurrencies by prohibiting exchanges to list those coins?

I don't think it's possible that the government can control the flow of cryptocurrency in their country. So if you fear that the government may interfere on you investment in cryptocurrency, then do it with VPN in your connection so that it cannot be easily traced. Anonymity of crypto investment is what makes it unique that even government will make a hard time to trace every user of it.

They might not be able to control the flow of cryptocurrency in their country, but they can make it a crime to invest or hold crypto, and if so, you might be punished for it if they find out.
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Welcome to the future on: April 17, 2019, 09:01:58 PM
The only reason people still don't trust crypto currency is that some of them still think crypto currency is a ponzi scheme but about two weeks when bitcoin price surged about $1000 over night that day alone bitcoin was in the top 10 most searched on google and alot more people got in to crypto currency that period. Its only bad news that brings bad publicity

Some say that all publicity is good publicity, regardless of the news being good or bad. When crypto start to climb steadily higher they will start to trust it more and more. Take my word for it.
300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Are Mining Still Profit? on: April 17, 2019, 08:58:33 PM
Mining is not profitable at all, have actually stoped cos I noticed it ain't worth it any more. The last drop in Bitcoin has contributed enormously to the factor affecting mining

What are you talking about, Bitcoin went up from about $4000 to over $5000, and is currently priced at $5255. So no drop, it's actually rising. Some coins are still profitable, depends on your hardware.
