how much more infrastructure do you have for new equipment? in amperage.
a lot of miners are getting squeezed as individuals, time to keep cranking out funds from the reserves, scoop them up Hi stslimited. I can add about 50A more draw on the facilities I'm currently utilizing before I'll have to add more infrastructure. I have more property now that I can utilize if necessary, I'm just trying to not get too spread out. Also colder weather will soon begin to allow me to cut power drawn by AC which will allow more power to be fed to mining gear. Cheers. why do I imagine you with the washer & dryer unplugged, the dishwasher pulled out from under the sink, and you sitting in the middle of a room in a big fur coat next to the minirig

well it'll be exponentially faster to buy bitcoins via coinbase than litecoins through escrow or arranging a meetup on that forum is there like a coinbase for litecoin

Hello, I enjoy the business management of some companies trading in litecoin and would like to add to my positions sometimes
I find it cumbersome to buy bitcoins and then buy litecoins, as there may be multiple wallets involved and confirmations times vary so much.
Where can I buy litecoins directly? btc-e doesn't seem to have a viable way to directly deposit USD without 5% surcharge

Ok, now I want some juicy update from friedcat what the hell is going on obviously mostly about being <6% of the network, lack of hardware sales lower margins

I did a blockchain reset. After the fourth time it gave me my funds back. I was freaking out. Thanks!
I have been experiencing this a lot with multibit and with coinbase as well. I am beginning to get suspicious of the network. I think a lot of the new miners are using configurations that are very different from what the pools were using when the pools had a lot more percentage of the network

There is no such thing as the "correct price". The correct price is what the market is willing to pay. I do think that demand is going to dry up in face on the reality of ever increasing difficulty. I wonder if AsicMiner can still move them in volume if they cut the price to 0.1 BTC ea and if so are they making a profit at that price.
As for the $5 being the "correct" price are you willing to sell me your BE for $5? I get the feeling when people say things like "this ASIC should be $x" they only mean they would buy not sell at that price. Of course if that truly is the correct price they would be happy to sell theirs off at fair value.
ohohoh, there definitely is such a thing as price discovery.

Google Ventures are investing in bitcoin startups?? Wow I didn't know that
they invested in Ripple (OpenCoin) months ago.

Hello
I am having bad luck doing commerce as my transactions randomly take a long time to go through from my local bitcoin client and transactions sometimes rejected, I see some weird anomalies sometimes and of course coinbase always takes forever.
It makes me wonder if a large portion of the new unknown miners are rejecting transactions due to a previously less common implementation of bitcoin and not prioritizing based on the fees
just a heads up and insight appreciated

Asicminer is 6% of the network and decreasing, and nobody knows what the hardware sales are yet, and nobody knows what friedcat's timeline/plans are for faster chips
that completely explains the selloff, and also in the auctions there are more sellers than buyers for now
thats it
I believe Friedcat has the infrastructure to deploy quickly, so enjoy your cheaper shares

quick summary, who is providing you with hashing hardware? what are the specs of the hardware units
I think this information are in the first post. alydian.co and other manufacturers, got it, well thats interesting I suppose, but its only if they get 5000 bitcoins

BFL have now shipped July 3rd 2012 SC's and our first pre-order was made on July 7th 2012. They're also now taking pre-orders for a new 600(GH/s)@28nm device for $4,680 and for now we still have our 25% discount voucher off our next order (not just device).
so maybe you get bumped up in the queue by having everyone else roll their SC preorders into a 600GH/s device

All three successfully flashed from 20130325 to 20130820. TY ckolivas for the firmware of the future!
They're all on autoclock starting at 350mhz. It'll take some time for them to find their operating ranges.
cool

hm this is expensive
they need 500,000 usd to get started?

this is hilarious, no wonder burnside is so adamant about calling his exchanges a game: you have to pay to play!
I'm never selling my litecoin global shares as long as this continues lmao

This is assuming difficulty continues to double as fast as it does. Well, OK, there's Moore's law and all. This isn't related to Moore's law in any way. We simply know that a lot of ASIC mining devices are being manufactured, and many of them will be more efficient than the current generation. Extrapolation simply gives you an idea how fast this process is. IMHO, It is directly related to both Moore's first and second law. Inititally, there was more demand for FPGAs/ASICs and now there is more demand for efficiency and speed in these. Speeds have and will double every 18 months to 2 years and price will reflect that. Perhaps the network will even reach an equilibrium at some point - provided the concept of a digital currency can adapt. Take care companies are catching up to the 28nm process (very quickly) then there are the 20-22nm processes and the upcoming 14nm processes bitcoin might want to be $1000 before the next block reward split, because the transaction fees are still really small
