cryptopia has problem with wallet connection.

they are largest exchange for CBX, so may the dev help with them?

Read this:

Does anyone have easy contact with Cryptopia? Vault version 2.4.3 is available for them to compile https://github.com/cryptogenicbonds/CryptoBullion-CBX/releases/tag/2.4.3

We will release compiled versions for the public soon...

Tickets have been submitted to Cryptopia so the solution is ready for them as soon as they compile.
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you looked at PoSP, the original staking algorithm of CBX? on: September 02, 2016, 02:11:10 PM
Any PoS or PoSP coin that allows coins to stake less than 5 days will favor the whales, since they can stake pretty much all of the time and keep smaller blocks from staking.
Coins that only allow you to stake every 15 or more days, decrease the Whales ability to use Compound Interest to their advantage which gives people with smaller amounts a chance to stake. So the shorter the time frame the more Compound interest you can earn and the Larger the Whales become.

This is not accurate. Lets take a 'whale' with 20k CBX as an example. Yes, they will get the first PoSP block when they stake but then an hour has to go by until their CBX is eligible to stake again (that is 60 blocks for the non-whales). It is not quite the monopoly possibility that you suggest.

would you plz help cryptopia sync their wallet?

they are biggest cbx exchanges and we still need their help in future.

Hopefully it is just an intermittent problem for them. The new Vault 2.4.3 is just about ready for release and will alleviate the issue once they upgrade.

Does the Windows Vault accept private keys from the android vault yet? I have a mobile backup with 230+ CBX that I bought a while ago, but ran into problems with sending CBX, and eventually, my phone broke, so I can't use the mobile vault any more. The backup I got has the private keys, but last time (a month ago), the Windows vault wouldn't accept my mobile private keys.

Seems like a lot happened in the past month (including a nice price rise!)

Private keys are exchangeable between any kind of wallets. Try again. It is very easy to import private keys into windows vault.
Tried. It's an HD private key, which is probably why it doesn't work. I remember the CBX devs saying they will contact the mobile wallet dev and see if it will be fixed though. Any help would be appreciated, and I'll tip a bit of CBX as a thanks if you manage to find a solution.

^ Not the full private key in the picture.

i have sent a message via skype to mobile dev and will let you know what his response is

Exchange of CBX for SPARK will be through the ICO website: http://cryptotokensico.com/

It doesnt seem to allow registration yet though, perhaps it will only allow registration when the ICO goes live, devs will have to clarify.

Registration will open up when the ICO starts on September 12th.

I m sad to report that the new wallet does not stake as much as the old , with the same number of stacks , I used to be able to stake 25-40 a day now it's only 15-20 , Sad
The reason of less stake is only because there is more users in stake, nothing realated to the new version sorry about that

If you look at the block explorer, you can see what the rate of return is based on current network load. Less people staking means higher payouts and lower difficulty. More people staking means lower payouts and higher difficulty.

We will add a visual to one of the next releases of the Vault so you can see what the current % payout is based on this information but for now you can rely on the explorer.

The extraction tab shows you a graph illustrating the percentage of the network that is staking at this particular time.

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/cbx/#!extraction

If 100% of the network is staking, then the yearly PoSP reward will be 2% (assuming you are connected and staking for the whole year). Since much of the network is offline, cold storage, funds held at exchanges, lost coins, etc - those who stake are able to receive a much higher than 2% per year payout. If you take the yearly inflationary rate of 2% and divide it by the percentage of the network that is staking from the extraction table link (say 25% for this example) , you will get the current annual rate of interest earnings via PoSP. 0.02/.25 = .08 or 8%.

Is STRATIS related with CBX? Btw, the price is still over 3 times higher than the ICO.

P.S. I have the CBX whitepaper, but didn't read it yet.

STRATIS has no relation to CBX. I do not know what STRATIS is.

Let us know what you think regarding the WP.

I want to know more information about block explorer.
As in my wallet while synchronizing it shows 1614587 total blocks out of 1585071 caught. total percentage is 98..18% done.

And i am getting this message from yesterday.

Can anyone help to resolve this issue.

My Vault is in synch and it shows around 1614000 total blocks, so your block count seems right. As for the total ("out of..."), I believe it shouldn't be a problem. Sometimes, the total could get out of sync and be lower than real total, but as long as you're downloading new blocks, everything should be fine. You could try restarting Vault to see if it fixes it.
By the way, it would be better if you posted this in the CBX topic, not in the Quintessence topic Wink.

Please see posting on CBX thread.

We are testing Vault version 2.4.3 right now. This will address the connection issues some are having. Look for release shortly.

Block rewards should be an incentive for work provided. This is what encourages network security and processing of transactions. Traditional PoS that rewards for inactivity is illogical. PoSP is fair and encourages decentralization by leveling the playing field far better than any other algo.

I checked white papers as well this is part of CBX seems so promising.

I think people must have to read whitepapers to learn more about Quintessence System.

Blockchain is awesome already.

Thank you for your support. Our team has been doing this for over 3 years now and we pride ourselves on doing things the right way and for the right reasons.

I'm a bit upset about the fact we can't invest in BTC.

If i wish to invest in this project, i'll have pay much fees in order to do it.  Cry

Maybe you can allow BTC for the ICO ? Or creating some "fund" where people send BTC, and you change them each 24/12/6h?

Is your concern transfer and trading fees? Sorry, just trying to clarify the issue.

295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Quintessence Signature Campaign on: August 30, 2016, 02:38:38 PM
signature campaign Quintessence
why payment not use Quintessence coin, but with use cbx cryptobullion

Quintessence is the name of the decentralized network that will run on Spark tokens. The network and tokens have yet to be created and this campaign is to advertise the project and the fund raising ICO. CBX will be integrated into the network and is an existing coin. Quintessence and Spark have yet to be created.

is there any way to run wallet normally without downloading the extra big file?

Are you referring to the blockchain file?

It is mandatory. But you can use the bootstrap download to speed the process. Then you only have to sync for a few weeks as opposed to 3 years of transactions.

Hello devs. I need a small guide on how to import my desktop wallet addresses to my android wallet?
cryptobullion desktop wallet don't provide private keys nor .jsn file. then how can I import my wallet from desktop to mobile?

please answer it.. and if you PM me about this it would be even better.

I would suggest keeping your funds in your desktop Vault so you can stake, you cannot stake via mobile app. Mobile is intended for carrying some CBX for everyday spending. For that purpose, it is suggested to send funds to your mobile Vault. I hope this helps...

I have begun the final write up of the book.  A projected page count of over 130 pages is anticipated.

I would like prominent members of the Crypto Bullion Community (in particular, if you were present during the first year) to write a personal statement (250-300 words).  Please include answers to these questions:

1. How you discovered Crypto Bullion?
2. What attracted you to Crypto Bullion/cryptocurrency in general?
3. How you have contributed to Crypto Billion?
4. Where do you see Crypto Bullion in the short/long term?
5. What is your most memorable event of Crypto Billion since its launch on the 28th of June 2013?

This list of questions is by no means exhaustive, but I would prefer all to be answered in a manner which suits.

Thank you

Good stuff Tyke, thank you!

Looking forward to seeing what the community contributes here. It will be amazing to have a text dedicated to CBX's early history.

I received an email notification from Cryptomic that they are shutting down... Please see below and act accordingly should you have CBX or other coins held there...

Quote
As some of you may already know, Cryptomic will be shutting down. I am closing the exchange to pursue a new cooperation with Coinigy (https://www.coinigy.com). I will be bringing my expertise as a programmer, crypto expert and exchange operator on as a core member of the Coinigy team.

I've learned so much during my time at Cryptomic. I've grown both personally and professionally, and I attribute much of my growth to the amazing people that I've worked with and I have made many friends both inside and outside the blockchain industry. I'm looking forward to this new opportunity, and excited to work with a new team that has goals in line with my own.

That being said, the procedure for closure will be as follows:
1. All markets will be closed as of September 1st.
2. All balances must be withdrawn by September 15th, after which they will be unredeemable.
3. Cryptomic will be offline as of September 15th.

Please withdraw your funds at your earliest convenience. It's been a personal pleasure working and chatting with all of you. If you ever want to get in touch with me, have questions about Cryptomic or Coinigy, or just want to grab a beer, I'm available as usual at info@cryptomic.com and now byron@coinigy.com.

If you have any immediate needs please open a support ticket and I will get back to you as soon as humanly possible!
Do to the current battle going on in the Ethereum space the wallets have been shut down. I will process ETH withdrawals on a per request basis to ensure there is no loss of funds.

Thanks so much for everything, and I'll make sure to keep everyone updated as things progress.

Best,
Cryptomic
