281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: June 08, 2020, 06:36:37 AM
Is this safe though? I already read that parties are also approved and not banned anymore so parties are being thrown there right now. Case in Nevada is almost at 9000, I guess they are confident that it is now done but it is still risky especially that we know that there is still no vaccine for the virus. Though I understand since people really need to get back in their jobs.

Yup,,, judging from the photos you can see now on Twitter with hashtag vegas, it seems almost everything is back to normal. But now with all the riots and protests going on not just in the USA but worldwide, I think coronavirus is going to have a really good time coming back and spreading but guess what? Most young people will not even be symptomatic so they will spread it to kids and elderly without even knowing.

I just recently look about it on twitter and they were seemed fine. Employees are all wearing a mask and in distant on one another, well, that's okay. But what I am afraid of, is those customers who will get in, you don't know which one of 'em are safe from virus, or had got in contact with a carrier. You know with all these protocols, restrictions or whatsoever is that... it is just a matter of time till one innocent man (employee or not) be infected with the virus. What a big risk those authorities took just to save their economy from falling down, more than what it was already.

Sample one I get from twitter: https://twitter.com/KITV4/status/1268762078514491393?s=19
282  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and COVID on: June 08, 2020, 01:51:43 AM
Yeah, obviously using it has a significant effect to avoid getting exposed outside. But the thing is, not everyone has the material to adapt, some stores big or small doesn't know a thing about bitcoin and stuff behind it; how it works and risks associated with it. Not to mention that the government in a particular country were against with it. To add, in this case, oldies and big traders would likely to get/experienced the benefit in this Grin.

Bottom line, it'll take time more than what we thought to have it function (it might be the pandemic were already over to see that almost everyone are into it). I wonder, what would the banks think with this Huh.

That's what exactly what I don't like about sa mga exchange mas prone sila sa hacking kaysa sa hardware wallet  Undecided.

Good point @Shimmiry  Grin.

Yeah, one way or another, both side possible magkamali pero I'd better choose sa side na ang ibe-blame ko na lang sarili ko than anyone else kung may mawala man sa 'kin. Since may possibility nga maging fault ng exchange then much better be wary kung saan ko ii-store assets ko, 'di rin naman sigurado kung ibabalik nila 'yong mawala e. Like coins.ph nung mga nakaraan medyo nakakapangamba (kung 'di mabuksan 'yong app, makikita mo 0 balance ka, nakatatakot lang) although sinabi nila na may updates or maintenance lang (what if hindi).
284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: June 07, 2020, 10:08:32 AM
Might be, yes. But isn't it the rest they have since March 11 not enough? Looking on the other side, I think the last 8 games they'll be having to conclude playoff spot, it'll be somehow a warm up game for them... you know, to set back their condition after the long break they have. Not to mention that no fans were allowed to watch, it'll feel entirely different for them. But yeah, whatever, playoffs is more important, and their top priority Grin.
Good point I must admit, havne't thought about that aspect. After that big break, players might actually need those 8 games to get back in shape, so maybe they will take it seriosuly so we can see some competitive games from Lakers, Clippers, Bucks and rest that secured the spots already.
I only wish that they took this chance to experiment a bit when it comes to playoff, to introduce something new, as it was a perfect chance.

If by chance they all pursue being competitive in their last couple of games, I feel sorry for teams down in 8-11 spot. An additional struggle they have to carry on Cheesy.

But yeah, they all need to be serious either way.

-
Indeed, they might use different strategies. Like letting one team win for their own advantage.
Strengths and weaknesses will be seen or how many wins they made during the season against the team they will let to get the 8th spot.

Example: Lakers standing against Grizzlies is 3-1 in favor of Lakers.
Lakers vs Pelicans is 4-0 in favor of Lakers.
So they could make a strategy to let Pelicans win the 8th spot.
But this is just my assumption.  Grin I don't think they need it. Just for other ranks maybe.

Possibly, they are going push traditional playoff format, right? 8 teams in each conferences.

Since this is just a mere rumors, they aren't going to push 1-16 seeding format 'cause if not then the idea of tanking stuff won't be effective or not a best choice to do so Cheesy.

Better talaga if na sa 'yo ang private keys since you have your own control with it. It is a matter of ano na lang... kung paano mo po-protektahan or itatabi 'yan.

Kaya bili na ng mga cold-storage wallet like Ledger or Trezor though may kamahalan but at least safe ka. Or kung 'di ako nagkakamali possible rin mag-set up ng spare mobile phones as cold-storage wallet medyo technical nga lang i-set-up. Worth naman 'yong struggle at almost close na rin siya sa security na mayroon ang mga Hardware wallets, and at the same time it would save you from spending thousand of peso  Cheesy.

Ironic lang kasi 'di ko pa nagagawa Grin.
286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: June 07, 2020, 03:53:58 AM
If It's 20 teams, 10-10 for the east and west only, and since they are in top 9 in the latest ranking, they will only play the Pelicans and the Grizzlies, so that would mean they will only play few games that the current set up, or maybe they don't like to face the kings.
Less competition means less work to do.  Grin
Edit: Oh! we got the same idea as mirakal above me.  Grin

Easy way out, huh. Makes sense. Specially Dame wouldn't play right? They must be struggling right now.

-
Look at the Pelicans schedule. It looks easy. They might really have a chance here for the 8th spot.
Zion will need to put his best game from the start if they really want that seat taken from Grizzlies.
Yeah it won't be so interesting at the EAST as Nets and Magic almost qualified already. Good thing for Pelicans is that they have two games against Grizzlies, and if they beat those two, their chances ain't bad, and I will certainly  root for them as I would like to see Zion in the playoff.

Looks like the league wants Zion to bound in  Grin. Kiddin' aside it seems Pelicans had already won twice against the Grizzlies with and without Zion playing.

Here's the photo:

Source: https://www.landofbasketball.com/head_to_head_gl/pelicans_vs_grizzlies_game_log_season.htm

Man, this is interesting would this win streak be continue? Shocked. Turns out Ja Morrant needs to put up a lot of work, and extra effort against his former buddy or else they'll be watching playoffs from afar.

One thing got me thinking though; since all games will be played at the same place, including the playoffs, that means top teams won't have any home advantage. Therefore, teams that already secured playoff might not push that hard in those 8 games, and might calculate a bit, resting the important players for the playoff. That also might affect race for playoff spot as it is not the same thing if you are playing vs Clippers that are resting Kawhi and PG.

Might be, yes. But isn't it the rest they have since March 11 not enough? Looking on the other side, I think the last 8 games they'll be having to conclude playoff spot, it'll be somehow a warm up game for them... you know, to set back their condition after the long break they have. This is a great video, pero parang too good to be true for a newbie and the example is pretty much higher so baka magexpect ang viewers about this. Ok naman talaga ang signature campaign, kaya lang wala itong kasiguraduhan. Siguro on your next video explain mo pa yung positive and negative na pwede mangyari kapag pumasok sila sa mundo ng bitcoin, hopefully this video can encourage many people na sumubok kay bitcoin at magtiwal, more videos to come mate!

Yeah, agree ako dito, although 'di naman sure 'yong possibility na ma-earn mo sa pagbi-bitcoin.

Anyway, aside from that, consider niyo ng brother mo 'yong sinabi nung mga ng kabayan natin above. Para may mahatak talaga kayo na viewers who would take this forum as a forum itself. Just my two cents lang ha, kasi kahit appealing 'yong paglalagay ng money or kaya nilang kitain here, mage-end up lang sila either spam or gumawa ng mga bagay beyond the forum rules tas magba-vanish sa huli. Warn them na agad you knew better naman kaysa sa viewers niyo.

Will wait sa mga susunod niyong video Cheesy.
288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "NEW NORMAL" Betting on: June 06, 2020, 01:43:51 PM
billions of dollars have been lost (betting, broadcasting rights, tickets, and merchandises) because sporting events have been postponed waiting for vaccines to appear. sports matches without spectators must be done (to support "NEW NORMAL" & and slow the spread of COVID-19)..
Tell you, everybody is suffering for the same reason not just with sports betting alone. And there's nothing that we can do about it. Better yet suffer losing big sum amount of dollars rather than to resort on a risky decision that would cost a life.

You can do plenty of stuff out there like exploring available gambling games online, familiarize it, who knows that you might get your lucky on it. Hence, you'll be able to expand your field in gambling Cheesy.

I was very bored watching the old football match and then repeated so on and so on sports TV stations Cheesy.  so that the "stay at home" program is effective, entertainment (sports matches) must be continued..

Who's not man? Well, I am bored too watching replays, and highlights just to save myself from missin' the NBA games. But luckily we would be able to see it again 8 weeks from now. Don't any updates with football league, but if you happened to be interested in other sports try watching basketball with your some other time, sports betting in this league might resume sooner.
289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: June 06, 2020, 11:21:26 AM
~ I remember Damian Lillard, he should play then as Blazers might make it to the playoffs. Throw away his own desire as I don't see any wrong with the format. Every remaining game really matters so as much as possible, teams should be healthy and complete.
The irony though is that Blazers voted no to the proposal  Grin
I don't know why but maybe they thought it's useless because Dame won't play seriously  Huh

Maybe because of Dame or maybe because of this article I found which says that they "prefer 20 teams rather than 22".
Here's the tweet:

Source: here

Not sure what's wrong with 22 teams though, that they have to against with it, the league didn't choose random numbers either Undecided.

What do you guys think, who will secure those playoff spots?

If I were to choose which team in the East should take the spot, I'd like to pick Wizard though it would be tough for them. Bradley's been explosive, he don't even get the chance to play in All Star game even though he's more worthy to have the spot than anybody in the reserves there. So I want him to clinch in playoffs at least.

Well, in West... it is such a dilemma to pick between Zion and Ja team. I like Ja but I like Zion too  Embarrassed, maybe a play-in tournament would solve this Grin.
290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao Might Fight Golovkin on: June 06, 2020, 10:11:09 AM
Would this man cut himself some slack. I mean, do he even know how to take a rest LOL or do he just love fighting that much.

IMO, even if the fight will take place at 154 lbs, Manny would still lose as GGG will be too big for him though a little slower than Manny but he is a heavy puncher and a single punch from him would slow down Manny. I'm a Pacman fan and personally i don't want this fight to happen as this would damage Manny's health.

I agree, man. Am not trying to drag down Pacman here. But he's aging and showed that he slowed down. Manny might be good for first few rounds but as the match up goes on he might not be able to take up with GGG.

Upon his last fight with Keith. If Manny didn't knocked down Keith from the early down, he possibly won't win there. As I see Keith took up the next few rounds there. What I am tryin' to point out here, Manny isn't the typical Manny who can go all out, all in 12 rounds. Simply because he's old, that's it.

Looking around some updates with Manny, well, I stumble upon Bob Arum's wish here. And it seems more realistic than Pacquaio vs Golovkin. But whatever, Pacquaio shouldn't take the fight whoever between the two.

I just found a very slight mistake sa row ni julerz12 doon sa column ng availability niya.

It should be "Currently in campaign", right?  Since he's currently participating sa Roobet. Not much of a help LOL  Grin. To add marami rin sa mga supposedly pinoy thread (tulad nito) outside this local na nag-popost sila, the thing is, am not quite sure if Pinoy sila or baka hindi lang talaga sila nag-popost dito sa board natin.

Something is really wrong.
I don't know if that is how it's going to be.
3 down, 9th 10th and 11th seed will be in a tournament first?

https://www.basketball-reference.com/leagues/NBA_2020_standings.html
Blazers, Pelicans, and Kings are already 4 games away from Grizzlies.
Does that mean each will all be playing against Grizzlies?
Ain't this a little unfair, it will be exhausting. Then afterward, they will be heading for the playoffs.

Please do correct me too if I am wrong.  Cheesy

No, they still do have to play the remaining eight games, first. And after, that would determine their playoff placement or seed. My guess, if one of those team you mentioned manage to get into 9th seed having a 4 or fewer games to getting in the least playoff spot (which is the 8th seed), then the league would proceed to play-in tournament to at least have that team get their last chance on clinching in. Otherwise, it won't happen, what I mean we won't see any play-in tournament. And those team who get into 1st upto 8th seed would now head straight to playoffs.

This is quite crucial for 8th seed team although they only have to win one game. You know... they need to be competitive as much as possible.

My apologies in advance, if I get the wrong idea  Grin.
293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] The Best Casino Promotions on: June 05, 2020, 01:50:05 PM
Options two got me here.

First options is good somehow but it fits well to a certain kind of a man who can afford to showoff a big amount of money, well, ain't everybody can do that, so free spin edges the first option here, and it is pretty much better for general. Much has been said about it above, and that was my motive as well and sometimes that's what keeps me on visiting gambling sites. Well, option three for me is fine, though usually the problem here is that the chances on getting the most decent prize are almost close to impossible but it is persuasive to always try, won't deny it.

So, yeah, free spin, prevails here.

I am still having a hard time to understand the plan. Perhaps it will be easier while the game on and being explained by the commentator.
Let's look at the NBA source.

Quote
-

What happens to the 8th seed if they lose twice?
A schedule will help a lot in this situation.
It is basically the ending of regular season that is shortened into 8 regular season games given to those 22 teams. Whoever gets into 1st-8th seed will be able to head to playoffs. However, and base from what I understand. There will be a play-in tournament between the 8th and 9th seed in each conferences only if the 9th seed team is 4 games short to get into the standing otherwise 8th seed team have their spot secured.

The play-in tournament between the 8th and 9th seed; the team who get the spot for "8th seed has to beat the team in 9th seed only once while the 9th seed has to beat the 8th seed twice" (as mentioned) to take their playoff spot. Still 8th seed isn't totally screwed over here, it is just that the league have given more chance for the potential team to clinch in.

Hence, if 8th seed team loses twice to the 9th seed team in that play-in tournament then the 9th seed team would take their spot and would be able head to playoffs.

Do I make any sense?
Correct me if I get it wrong. I am a bit confused as well.

Glad we would be able to watch NBA games again Cheesy. Just 8 weeks more!

The 22 team are composed of:

Dunno but I feel more comfortable to gamble with my smartphone though I have a problem with my eyesight, and my smartphone doesn't have a big/wide screen. It maybe a matter of habit since I'm used to being on my smartphone most of the time than being on my laptop which I rarely use.

In addition why I choose to use it, is that I can bring it wherever I want, and I can still gamble Grin. Pretty conveninent, right? One more thing, you can use Desktop Mode option in your browser, if the site you'll be gambling on doesn't support mobile versions. Problem is you'll be having trouble zooming in and out, and dragging your screen side by side. But you'll get used to it over time.

Btw, how many games have been played against Lakers and Clippers this season? Seems like a good play IMO,

It seems they have faced each other three times already.

Here's the summary:

Sadly, Kawhi's team prevails the LA but whatever, there should be a last match up between them somewhere in April if the league doesn't stop the operation. What a waste, Lakers might have a chance to tie it Undecided. Well, anyway, their matchup in playoffs would be way more interesting.

297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Patience above all will be rewarded here on: June 04, 2020, 11:35:35 AM
The people who buy in rallies and sell during bear markets and then don't believe in bitcoin anymore are clowns. If the price went to 25k in the next few months I guarantee it that the community will double maybe even quadruple in just a few days.

And then if it dropped back to 15k, suddenly most of these people will disappear again. They won't believe in bitrcoin and they will not care.
Yeah, that's quite harsh, man Cheesy but it is the reality crypto space have. Won't deny it, since it reminds me of myself back then; am just apparently joining the hype and then disappear when thing turns into a mess, luckily that now, I don't. What a big waste of money and opporunities back in those time.

Apparently, these events still are a natural thing in today's environment or maybe would always be, since not everyone has the interest on embracing bitcoin for what it is rather than a get-rich-quick-scheme item or simply because waiting for a long time isn't their thing in the first place.
298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Choice To Stay Longer Online Or Casinos on: June 04, 2020, 08:59:08 AM
It's also more convenient to bet online, I guess. If I were to start betting, I would most likely use the online ones more to avoid crowds/noise/distractions and probably for the convenience.
I always assume that lots of people who use the physical ones also like the crowd and probably to socialize.

Besides that, we already use online gambling to gamble, so we don't have to go to the casino. I agree about the convenient because, for me, the convenience factor will be necessary so I can enjoy my time to play gambling games. But I don't know with other people. Perhaps, they still like to go to the casino and meet many people so they can interact with them. People need to avoid to stay in a public area or one place with many people at the same time to prevent the spreads of the virus.

If we can take care of ourselves, and other people do the same, I think we can prevent the virus from infecting more people.

Well, then, perhaps online casinos best fit to people who don't like going into crowd, noisy places. More like to an individual who prefers to stay alone or who wanna be in their rooms most of the time.

What made people go into landbased casino, IMO is the excitement it has which in fact online casino lacks of, what I mean the ambiance, the surroundings, oh.. well then the perks as mentioned as well. In addition, landbased casinos offers more options to play with. Won't deny it, some online casinos doesn't offer the game we're looking for hence we're forced to either switch games or not to play at all.

Going back to OP's question, I am into online casino but TBH it is boring, it may be conveninent as it is.

On the other hand, James Harden seems to lose a fair enough of weight.

Take a look at this photo:

Isn't it good Huh

Well, of course, such sudden changes of James Harden draws out different side of judgments.
Quote
If James Harden was averaging 36 and cooking the whole league while looking like this... slim Harden is about to be the GOAT
Quote
I don't know that Harden losing weight is necessarily a good thing. One of the main reasons he is so lethal going to the basket is his size, and based on the minutes he's been able to handle in the past, I don't think stamina was an issue

IMHO, it is good. Though significant amount of weight helps him to force his way in to the basket but we couldn't deny as well that there were some slim players who can do what he does like Manu. And I think, his new shape might boost his agility, and balance.

300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What type of gambling do you want? on: June 04, 2020, 03:33:34 AM
I'm into sports betting since I am an athlete once myself, and I grew up playing basketball with a bet on the line. Not a professional one though, usually a street basketball; bet depends on the agreement sometimes money, and sometimes drinks might be a bottle of cola. Maybe that's what brought me up to here. Watching your favorite team play will be more exciting and thrilling if you have bet something into it though sometimes you get the false hope when your team doesn't play right or if the opponent were too good for them.

I'm yet to try the other options. I am just afraid that I might lose great amount of money quickly there. But whatever it will test my discipline though  Cheesy.
