281  Other / Meta / Re: We can not discuss if 'ChipMixer is a honeypot or not' outside their own thread? on: December 09, 2022, 07:30:54 AM
Theymos works for the NSA, everybody knows that.
Shit, I probably shouldn't have been running amok, cursing him with my middle fingers waving about.  Any idea where I should send the apology flower bouquet to?

Congratulations on the name change.

I was going to congratulate him too in one of his threads https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5426440.msg61415196#msg61415196 where he showed his disappointment with theymos not increasing his merit so he can help review and merit more posts. The Pharmacist, TSC will now know that it might take time but not that theymos actually disregarded his call for merit increase. If theymos could honor his demand for a name change today after several reminders, he can still honor his demand for more merit as a merit source. I just feel like letting him know this.
282  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: December 08, 2022, 08:22:51 PM
BUT I don reason de mata again, no body dey restrict anybody. No rules holding anybody down. The politics count na for CryptopreneurBrainboss merit reward. Which means anybody fit make even 30 politics matter no wahala.  Maestro75 my man and others make we chill, nothing spoil atol.

My brother, I don melembe melembe o like Wike deh talk. The thing be say even me never start any political post before self but I deh like chook mouth for politics because we Nigerians need orientation for politics to help put this country back on track. After Buhari deceive me with his anti corruption and security chants and promises, never again I go allow another politician deceive me. But I hear wetin CryptopreneurBrainboss talk for the matter. Nothing don spoil for the matter.
283  Other / Meta / Re: *END* Post history review offer on: December 08, 2022, 08:10:30 PM
Another one bites the dust...

It is looking like what will eventually happen as theymos has not responded to him till date and this is very discouraging for a MS who is dedicated to seeing less ranked members cone up in rank.

Ideally I try to give members the full 50 merits per 30 days
Excuse me, but this is the stupidest thing I've read about merits.
50 merits per month to each user will make him/her go up faster in merits than in activity. What would be the point ? What was the merit system created for ?

Activities is never a problem because he only awards such huge merit to users who already have more than enough activities to their next rank but lack merit. It is not for every user he does that for.
284  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: As a newbie I stay off shitcoin and it paid off, Bitcoin is the king. on: December 08, 2022, 02:15:26 PM
If you are honest with yourself you would state you had a drop also in your Bitcoin investment, and guess what that is not really bad because crypto-currency is volatile. Yes just like you I prefer Bitcoin over Altcoin and I am also yet to get any Altcoin but I don't down play them out rightly.

Your friend did not lose because he invested in Altcoin but rather he invested wrongly, there are still Altcoins that has there heads above waters even after the FTX saga, advice Sam your friend to stop going for Hype, FOMO or FUD but rather do his research.

This is part of truth alot of bitcoin investors hide from people. Thank you for pointing it out. His friend failed because he invested in wrong altcoins and not because he invested in altcoins because there are some altcoins that are still giving investors profit till date. Even him would have lost something from his bitcoin investment since he bought because he must have bought high then. Bitcoin also suffers loss.
285  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: December 08, 2022, 07:36:43 AM

Boss man Igehhh, nothing deh drive my inner motivation except say I just deh only state the matter as I see am. You for expand the number of monthly posts on politics to 20 and see if people no go choose that option.

I still dey chuck mouth for this matter because I know wetin dey at stake. I don already see front.  In the other hand I fit still dey wrong. But I just believe say the main thing for us na make we no begin put rule for thread wey no be board. This thread is self moderated, the OP wey be CryptopreneurBrainboss fit set rules on wetin be spam, and if anyone default, em post go delete. ThankGod him dey active for this thread. The last time I check, our problem no be post quality because Nigerians na quality posters.

Na the problem be that. Any where weh restrictions deh, e deh make some people feel cheated. Ok, if we say we no want to deh count more than 7 posts monthly on politics, what about posts weh no even get anything to do with bitcoin or economy? Another thing be say this politics weh we deh try clamp down on its post count na him deh even control whatever happens with bitcoin and the economy, anyhow weh una look at it.
286  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: December 07, 2022, 04:12:04 PM
The idea behind this is to encourage more non political discussion but not to stop it. Igehhh dey try reason with the community to engage more in other discussion beside who go win election or not.

I understand where you deh go with the criteria thing and I no get ish with am but na that one go even cause spamming self because those weh no get anything meaningful to contribute for main bitcoin related discussions go want to force themselves to talk so their post counts here go increase and na that time them go begin talk dust. But make una self think am, even 10 posts monthly deh too small na, haba. Make e com remain 5 posts. Na monthly we deh talk here o. Anyway, anyhow weh the thing be e no go make person like me stop being active here as far as I get data to log in.
287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Strong Hands Are Buying on: December 07, 2022, 02:43:55 PM

China's 194000 BTC
Ukraine 46351 BTC
United States 44000 BTC
Bulgaria 200000 BTC
Salvador 2381 BTC
Finland 1981 BTC
Georgia 66 BTC

I do no know what to believe of the news that China is holding bitcoin and even up to that huge amount for we have seen how negative China has been towards bitcoin. How sure are you of this statistics you sent here. What is your source?

When the market recovers, these strong hands are going to be among the successful ones. Those who understand the market sentiment well are the ones who make the most out of it.

And that is why they are busy buying now that the market is falling because they know a time will come when the market will fly up again.
288  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: December 07, 2022, 12:55:43 PM
We never even get our local board we don already dey discriminate some posts as low quality. We fit no understand wetin wan happen, but I don see am say e no go help us at all. E no compulsory say na bitcoin we go dey talk here.

If you check well Theymos himself no dey add anything wey go limit anybody. And I suggest say make we no suffocate here with rules.
When it comes to the filtering out the political posts to determine the winners, I just dey wonder how Igehh go do am. Sha make we dey watch, na trying phase we dey like dis, no worries we go surely get am right one day

Me no like how Igehhh want to begin screen political posts. We sabi say him na APC member and him fit to deh use that opportunity deh cut off posts on APC weh him no like. Me no give a damn about any of the parties. Na personality i deh look. I deh pity anybody weh deh support based on party line because all of them don fail us. But for those weh deh support a sick man to be president of this country wetin una see for the matter weh me no understand, abeg una fit tell us wetin deh?
289  Other / Meta / Re: I am beginner please help on: December 07, 2022, 10:32:17 AM
But before getting greedy about anything such as  post2earn, make sure you learn everything about bitcoin and the forum itself, be a helping hand, engage in all good activities and most importantly have a constructive opinion so that you get all the respect you want.

You said it well so he knows this forum does not run like Santa Claus. The earning part of this forum is only an incentive for members who have attained certain rank levels. It is not for fresh members. There is need for rank growth before anybody can start earning. It means Naveed2166 first task is to concentrate on growing his account and not on how to earn eventhough we know that was what brought him to this forum. Get to Member rank first before anything else.
290  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: One market, contrary predictions. on: December 07, 2022, 07:19:09 AM

Tim Draper is a joker. What gives him the confidence that bitcoin will even get to that price in the next 5 years talkless of it getting there this 2022? He is just trying very hard to be in the news. Bitcoin can not get to that now and even in the next 5 years. I know most people will not like me saying this but that is the truth. Like palle11 said I do not think or bother myself with such news because they do not work out.

293  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The future with Bitcoin is bright on: December 05, 2022, 08:49:06 PM
Bitcoin is the most beneficial cryptocurrency in the world as I have seen it change the lives of many around me for good and I am glad to begin this journey into securing a bright future with Bitcoin.
But as a newbie that want to tread this path, what are the things I need to know about it? Will buying and hording for a long time profit me?

Holding bitcoin long term will profit you at the end. You have to remove that mindset that you have seen bitcoin change the lives of many people around you and face what can happen that not everybody has been lucky with bitcoin. Many have lost out in their investment in bitcoin because of panic. They sold below the price they bought it because of fear of more crash. To those ones bitcoin will not be seen as something good. Do not be like those ones. Invest and wait for profit to come to you on long term.

Maestro75-The reason you think that way is because you are a bloodthirsty Nazi and a chlurmcklet.

Am sure civility was not a part of character molding at the time you studied in school and up to the acclaimed PHD level you said you had. I smell arrogance and uncut all over you. We now know who is violent between you and the students you accuse. I will not engage you in further comments.

It gives me a good feeling of being with my compatriots. But where is Gozie51, he did not even make the top 30 names or did Igehh skip his name unknowingly? That is not a good record for someone that came first a few months ago. Maybe Gozie51 will explain to us what happened.
297  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Qatar Footballl World Cup - People decided not to watch on: December 05, 2022, 11:26:57 AM

There is nothing in life that politics has not affected, even religion. I said it elsewhere that politics controls the economy and that is why we have to be careful who we elect into office as leaders. The part where immigrants passports are seized from them once they get into Qatar is what should be looked into except if the immigrants from those countries you mentioned know about it before going there. Then that will be an agreement and it must be honored. If anyone is not watching this world cup because Qatar is the host, that person is only denying himself the excitement of the world cup. You are the one losing.
298  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Teachers deserve more on: December 05, 2022, 11:05:31 AM
The important role of teachers in the society cannot be overemphasized. After the home, which is the first school for the child, the teachers are the next in line to help mold the child to become a better citizen.

But in the place where I'm from, teachers are less respected compared to the doctors, engineers and the rest and as such, not much value is placed on them. It's comfortable to owe teachers their salaries and even the government turn a blind eye to some of their needs and as such these people tend to act unconcerned whether students are been imparted upon or not.
Before we honor the doctors and lawyers of this world, let's first give the teachers their due.

There are certain schools where teachers earn high too but that is usually in privately owned schools. You can compare what is paid in schools like British International Schools, Corona International Schools, or other international schools based in my country etc you will know they pay well unlike the peanuts paid by government owned schools. Teachers in my country are disrespected because people know hey are not well paid. In Nigeria people relate with you based on how much money they think your salary is. Citizens worship politicians because they think they are rich while teachers are ridiculed because they know they are poorly paid.
299  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Universities promote violence on: December 05, 2022, 09:19:35 AM
I did not quote myself. I was just signing my name, you silly goose.

Your comment there referring to a user who wanted to know whether you are the same person as the professor you quoted is very rude. Now you know why those students would react violently towards the "professor". If you are the professor in your story, I doubt you are actually a civil person. You sound arrogant. Professors are more learned and civil.
300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Someone sent ERC20 from my cold storage on: December 04, 2022, 09:28:39 PM
If this is just an old way to scam you then better not to look at it, or ignore it because many says if you make transaction about that specific token, then your details will be corrupted and you’ll get hacked.

Those who do it know what they want to achieve and it is something that will not favour the wallet owner. I have noticed similar thing in my trust wallet and it used to scare me until I understood that since am not claiming the suspicious tokens nothing bad happens to my wallet. I have learned to just ignore it whenever I notice it nowadays. Criminals everywhere online seeking who to swallow.
