281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RISE | ICO CLOSED | RISE WITHDRAWAL ENABLED | MAINNET LIVE | TRADING ON BITTREX on: July 07, 2016, 09:50:29 AM
Waiting for the twitter bounty for 24 hours.Where are the coins?
@romanekras321

Does anyone know how much bounty reward one gets for 1 part sig and 1 Twitter?  Cheesy

The reward is 176.83465959 RISE

Is that for the 1 part of sig or the Twitter?

Oh! I just found on the Twitter thread that the 179 Rise is for that!

Also, is there a new Rise post ICO signature we can replace our sigs with?

Does anyone know if the Rise signature and twitter bounties are paid out automatically or do we need to put our Rise address in a form somewhere - I checked the spreadsheets and I am on both of them. Thanks in advance!  Grin

False. I invested in Waves, and still have my coins. I just know that someday it will be worth more. You're a typical jealous guy who doesn't have enough money to enter in this Roll Eyes...

Jealous of your coins that you are bagholding for a loss?

I sold mine in the first minute for a 50% profit. You are the one who is in denial pal.

I expect you came on here after Eth launch and said the same thing.

In life there are winners and losers - you are one of life's losers, my friend.
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO glory days are done on: June 26, 2016, 04:45:03 PM

Rise is clearly a scam.

Keep crying wolf, scam this scam that. You are not doing us any good, you are softening the stance against proven scams.  I'm sure you have the best of intentions but you are enabling real scammers.

Indeed - folk who bleat scam as an almost involuntary response to anything they are not invested in says a lot more about them than the things they target.  Cheesy
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Xaurum? on: June 25, 2016, 12:57:05 PM
I don't know much about it - apart from waffle about being backed by gold there is not much info on the ann about the technical aspects of the coin.

If I had plenty of money to invest I would by physical gold, myself, and keep it somewhere safe.  Cheesy
288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 40% of Waves ICO BTC Withdrawn! For What? on: June 23, 2016, 01:00:20 PM

Of the 30,000 BTC raised, they've already withdrawn 11,445 in the last few days!  Where is this money going, what is it being used for?

If they didn't diversify their holdings of startup capital they would be accused of 'not showing due diligence'.

289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People Are Just Too Stupid to Use Bitcoin Right Now on: June 23, 2016, 10:55:53 AM
I don't think that many people actually understand the concept of bitcoin or realise the potential of bitcoin either. However, there are plenty of "geek" out there who are willingly using bitcoin.

People are losing out, not us Tongue
Yes but I do think still most of the geeks yet know about bitcoins in my country and the thing is most of the traders and online workers do not know about bitcoin features but they treat it as a commodity to trade. They must be brainless to sell (use) bitcoins now itself.

That is true a lot of people know about btc in my country too and all you have to do is figure out why people are ignorant about it, mainly being that they're too lazy to learn about it not too stupid i would say.

Nobody is really stupid, just ignorant.

The situation with Bitcoin in these times really reminds me of the early nineties when I was on the Internet. The reaction I got from people when I mentioned I used the Internet was exactly the same as it is now, with BTC.

The only reaction I get is either total suprise that BTC is still around and being used or total disgust (have only heard negative mainstram stories).
290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RISE | ICO OPEN | LAST DAY OF ICO | MAINNET SOON | OVER 1100 BTC RAISED on: June 23, 2016, 10:49:47 AM
Lisk also handled Polo right with an NDA early on, havent heard any possible deals from RISE. I rathe have a coolff p2p trading time than immediately go on Bittrex.

The problem is that if RISE isn't on an exchange within a week this thread will be pumped by 500 pages of posts by whining babies who dropped their allowance or rent money into ICO and want instant dump. The devs have to hold their nerve - it's tough.
291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: June 23, 2016, 10:44:24 AM
While this thread is obsessing with Poloniex - what is happening with other exchanges like C-Cex?
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee: Cryptocurrency is coming on: June 23, 2016, 12:06:03 AM
For his statements to be true, privacy is needed which is something that 99% of all cryptocurrencies ignore or fail to understand.

Monero is the actual true implementation of digital cash, and after decades of the smartest people in the world fantasizing about it - it finally exists.

I think the world of personal finance will be a bit more complicated in future.

I see the core being a platform like NXT, Waves, NEM etc where people control and organise their finances and assets.
Using that platform they will use currencies like BTC, Monero etc and new ones that act as a kind of protection like Paypal or credit cards for consumer and seller protection and yet more acting as lenders. Some they will use for small transactions using NFC etc

I see them all existing in a rich ecosystem. Some will go for distributed and open solutions and others for corporate or even government controlled centralised ones. A bit like we see cyanogen, Ubuntu and apple phone users.

This project is very underfunded compared to vaporware like Waves. But i like it, this is the way ICO should be. Low start price, then if dev show he is serious, he will be paid tenfold many times over by selling his own coins anyway. If dev start with 30k btc, he get greedy and lose all incentive or motivation.

Good, more profit for us... investors are also allowed to make some profit, no? Cheesy

In fact 1000 BTC is a huge amount of money.... with this amount you create a total new application. Indian resources cost something like $20 per hour, so start counting Wink

Don't forget the last minute surge!

There is always a last minute surge - it's the law.  Cheesy

How do you withdraw from exchange to wallet?

Do you have to miss off the 1W at the start?

Noticed the Ribbit.me wallet is down atm.

I wonder if that means things are happening?

It is not down?

http://wallet.ribbit.me/

It was unresponsive - no css etc

Now I get zero balance and;

Ribbit
Synch Status: Error 100.000%

sasha using waves ico funds to pump nxt???  Grin Grin Grin Grin

It would not be surprising.

Sasha spent all his "crypto-life" involved with the NXT community where he developed several businesses, assets and use cases. Probably Waves was just an excuse to pump his old businesses.

Haha! This thread has so many conspiracy theorists!

On the other hand Sasha could use his extensive knowledge of NXT to build a platform (WAVES) that addresses and solves any issues he had with previous platforms. In that sense we are lucky to have his expertise on this project.
298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Question about withdrawing waves on: June 20, 2016, 04:24:07 PM
In late May I came across the Waves ICO and just for fun bought Waves worth 20$. It said there would soon be news regarding withdrawing the Waves. I forgot a bit about it, heard no news/got no emails about it/was busy and only remembered today. Downloaded the Lite client, created an address and added it to my Waves ICO account. But then I saw this interview in The Cointelegraph with Alexander Rugaev from Waves who says June 14th was the deadline to collect ones "coins" (Waves?).

What does this mean? Are my Waves gone? Will they not be transferred to my address? Fortunately 20$ is not the world, but still would seem strange, what if I had invested a big amount? I see no mention of this deadline anywhere else than in the interview, not on twitter and not on their blog.

Maybe this is a stupid question but Im only following the Blockchain world casually and my technical understanding of these things is only vague.

Any replies appreciated.

Waves are safe in ICO account.

If you update the box on ICO overview with the Liteclient address and verify the email it sends you then your coins will get transferred after a few days.
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: best exchange for Alt coin trading? on: June 20, 2016, 10:40:03 AM
I am looking to buy small amounts of different alt currencies, could you guys suggest the two best exchanges for this purpose. The exchange should be reputable, have decent transaction volume and also have a lot of alt currency listed.
Which exchanges, based on the above criteria would you guys suggest.

Thanks

Thing is that there can be huge differences in volumes for the same coin in different exchanges. There may be also a large difference in price between the same coin in different exchanges.

A current one is NAUT - just now was at least 1500 satoshis cheaper in Bittrex than Poloniex. Sometimes this is down to day traders not bothering to get the means to transfer coins between exchanges - NAUT needs a NXT plugin for transfers.

Other disparities are found in market pairs - the price can vary between BTC, LTC, XMR and ETH markets.

Mind you, you need to do the Math and work out the fees etc.

I guess my advice would be to register with as many reasonably high vol exchanges as you can - and don't keep large holdings in any of them if not trading.

stop being stupid guys. DUMP is part of every ICO, it is the law

Yes.

The day traders and the weak panickers will dump (You know, the guys who have been trolling this thread for days - I put my dogs name in the ICO address so where is my coins???!!!) - the strong will wait and win!
