Great news! Thanks for the update Madz! We're glad that you're doing fine. Thanks IOST for reaching out to Madz. More importantly congrats to all of us who endured this long to wait for our reward and here it is with 10% additional on top of our pay. Thanks IOST. The big question is when is the pay?
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tron (TRX) Accepted And Partnership Signed With Brazzers And Traffic Junky on: June 30, 2018, 04:39:18 AM
The same move like XVG Smiley. Become a partner with a porn site Smiley. I don't think this news can help a shitcoin like TRX rising back Smiley.  TRX has high trading volume and good partners already, one more good partner seem like useless and can't do anything to help this shit Grin. I don't wanna spend any pennies to invest in this shit anymore Smiley

I feel you bro. I did invest in TRX as well when it first launched in the crypto market was just really disappointed of its performance in the market. This coin was over hyped when it came out. Partnership with a porn site that has lots of potential subscribers is not a very bad idea since there are some pervs that want to stay anonymous online and they can use TRX or XVG to purchase subscription.
283  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin’s brutal bear market isn’t yet its worst crash in history on: June 30, 2018, 04:13:44 AM
Charts and history suggest that the blow off of the 2013 ATH was the worst bear market we've ever seen in the history of bitcoin, with the bear's influence extending over a period of almost 3 years. During those times, every little push of the price is immediately shut down without remorse. causing all the valiant efforts of the bulls to disappear without notice. Right now, the pushes in price somewhat retains its strength for a couple of days before returning to sub-$6000, and such price development should be expected seeing how high we went on the last ATH. This is no sorcery, just math and simple market reactions.

I agree with you on this. Hope that we won't be able to experience same bear market that happened the previous years. I'm still certain that bitcoin community and the people behind supporting the technology won't let that happen. They should put very strong support in $5k line so that bitcoin's value won't pass that and could lead to more panic from bitcoin investors that are emotional.

But we're not out of the bear market yet so it can't be said with certainty that the previous record won't be broken.
I really hope not.

We all do hope that wouldn't happen, as we all know every altcoin is dependent to bitcoin's value. This will really affect our portfolio when bitcoin's value drops exponentially.
284  Economy / Speculation / Bitcoin’s brutal bear market isn’t yet its worst crash in history on: June 29, 2018, 05:24:52 PM
https://qz.com/1318141/how-far-could-bitcoin-btc-fall-it-sill-isnt-as-bad-as-the-2013-15-bear-market/

We can't really stop panic sellers from doing what they must do when it comes to sell offs. The bearish market can really cloud our judgement specially if we don't trust and believe in the technology. This is not the worst crash in the history of bitcoin and I do believe in the technology so I hodl. The weaker hands will always lose.
285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tron (TRX) Accepted And Partnership Signed With Brazzers And Traffic Junky on: June 29, 2018, 05:19:31 PM
I dont think that this news will trigger to the increase of price of trx, even if trx has been accepted and being partner of some pornsites, it doesnt change the fact that we are still in the bear market.

I guess it will really have an impact since there are lots of users coming into the porn site and take advantage of the anonymity by using TRX. There's just no concrete data that could support my claims as of now but we just have to wait and see if it will bounce a bit even with bearish market.

https://ethereumworldnews.com/tron-trx-accepted-and-partnership-signed-with-brazzers-and-traffic-junky/

Will this affect the reputation of the coin in general? or Will this make TRX go for a sudden spike due to this?

I think that few weeks from now there will be an increase of value of TRX. I'm waiting for its performance in the crypto market after this big news came out. Will Coinbase be adding TRX soon? Feel free to share your thoughts.
Traffic Junky, Brazzers, Nutaku, and Pornhub accept TRX as payment, I'm not a TRON fan but I recognize this is a good achievement for them in TRX acceptance as payment. maybe TRX price will bounce this week but, I doubt Coinbase will accept TRX in the near future

I concur with you. I guess TRX in coinbase will be just be a dream for them. We can't really predict the future but we just don't know the reason why.
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tron (TRX) Accepted And Partnership Signed With Brazzers And Traffic Junky on: June 29, 2018, 03:12:12 PM
Porn has always helped in the acceleration and adoption of the technology. For example, web videos.
If Brazzers has started accepted TRX, then it would surely benefit TRX and its holders. And Pornhub is pretty popular website.
As for if Coinbase will add TRX, then I don't think so. Coinbase is very picky with its selection of cryptos, and TRX doesn't seem to fit in it.

What could be their basis when it comes to adding a certain crypto to their exchange. I know that coinbase do have some strict rules and TRON is from China. Does this entails, racism or some more shady reasons for not adding TRX?
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FIAT rewards for bounty hunters. on: June 29, 2018, 03:00:10 PM

Hello all members!
I am a bounty hunter, as well as many of you  Smiley Wink
And I heard that bounty hunters dump the coin price at the ico end.
So I was wondering, if the team doesn't want its coins to be sold on exchange date and thus be dumped, why they reward bounty hunters with their token, not FIAT.
Because they anyway accept fiat for selling the tokens, so the coin won't be dumped by bounty hunters, and bounty hunters are satisfied too.
Because those who need money, they have it, those who want tokens, can buy it at exchange etc.

Then it wouldn't be called as bounty hunting but FIAT hunting instead. The company is making their own coin so they really don't care giving it out for free in exchange for some tasks from the hunters. The reason they are doing an ICO is for them to raise funds. One way of doing bounty campaigns is to get their name out and let the community be involved with their project without risking of spending the companies FIAT money for advertising their good name.

289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Practical is Bitcoin As Payment Service? on: June 28, 2018, 12:51:35 PM
i am new here and i came to ask fellow users about how practical bitcoin as payment method is? i paid for domain on namecheap via bitpay and it was okishh experience. I mean how much i can use bitcoin to pay online for shopping, services and goods?

I think it would be more practical if you pay using your debit or credit card. Bitcoin as of now is much better if it's used as a store of value or an investment vehicle rather than purchasing online.
You can use bitcoin to purchase almost everything. It really depends on the vendor if it accepts crypto in exchange for their products and services.
290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is neo good choice for long-term investment ? on: June 28, 2018, 09:28:17 AM
A lot of people said chinese ethereum for neo. I searched a lot about neo , then I bought some neo at 0.0085 btc. But it dropped at 0.0072 now. I know the market all down but neo dissapointed me. What do you think about neo for long-tem for neo ?

Neo is good for long term but as we can see the crypto market right now is bearish. No one can predict the fluctuations of crypto values. If you try to look at the chart, we can clearly see that there's a sudden dip with its value due to the bearish market. Maybe few months from now the market will recover as well as Neo's value.

291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What coin do I need to invest in on: June 28, 2018, 07:52:41 AM
Please I want to invest in some coin but it seems that the market are red which coin should I buy now

This is the right time to buy coins because the prices are on discount. Take advantage of this dips and you'll surely profit if you do long term investment. You need to do extensive research for you not to regret if the coin you picked turns out to be a shitcoin. What I do have in my portfolio are BTC, IOST, EOS, Eth and XRP. You can choose which project do you prefer to invest your money, just don't invest an amount that you can't afford to lose.
292  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's your plan? on: June 28, 2018, 07:49:23 AM
Alright now, CRYPTOS running some!! Time to check your emotions, feelings, and mental toughness.

Get your plan together, are you going to hold, swing trade, or get back to even and say screw it I'm out??

Since I believe in the technology I hold. We shouldn't get emotional in times like this. This is the moment that we can take advantage of buying our favorite coin for us to profit in the near future. The crypto market will definitely recover from the bloodshed that we experienced lately. This is just normal for a very volatile market. Few months from now the values of cryptos will surely go an uptrend. Only the stronger hands that holds their coins are the one that could benefit from this bearish market.
293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which token you prefer in June-2018 on: June 28, 2018, 05:51:25 AM
I am a new small investor. I want to invest in cryptocurrency. So please help me to choose few best token for my portfolio.

There are lots of promising altcoins in the cryptomarket and no one in here can really tell that those coins will double or triple in price but with the volatility of the market everything can happen. You need to do your own research about the coins that you really prefer. Pick the technology that is realistic and useful to the society.

Here's the altcoins that I highly suggest:

- IOST
- EOS
- STEEM
- XRP

Invest only an amount that you can afford to lose. Goodluck with your investments and have a good one!
294  Economy / Speculation / Bitcoin Price Depends more on Silent Majority? Do you agree with this? on: June 28, 2018, 03:25:49 AM
The louder they are, the less influence they have. This seems to be the conclusion drawn by Feng Mai, a researcher at the New Jersey-based Stevens Institute of Technology, after conducting a study investigating the influence of social media on the bitcoin price.

According to Mai the comments and tweets of social media users considered highly active were found to have an insignificant impact on the bitcoin price. However, the infrequent users of social media were found to have a bigger impact on the bitcoin price, sometimes moving the needle by up to ten times more after they posted comments deemed to be positive.

“Interestingly, social media’s effects on bitcoin are driven primarily by the silent majority, the 95 percent of users who are less active and whose contributions amount to less than 40 percent of total messages,” reads a portion of the research paper’s abstract.

‘No Agenda’ Equals More Trust

Per Mai, this was attributable to the fact that the silent majority were considered more trustworthy by social media users because of the perception that they did not have an agenda.

To conduct the study the Stevens Institute of Technology researcher, who is also a professor at the Stevens School of Business, analyzed 344,000 Bitcointalk forum posts and 3.4 million tweets. Mai collaborated with a team that was drawn from Ivey Business School, Dickinson College and the University of Cincinnati in analyzing the posts that spanned a period of 24 months. Tweets were collected for a period of two months.

Though not exhaustively concluded, a study that had been conducted in 2015 had also hinted at the fact that the silent majority have more influence than the vocal social media influencers.

The Silent Majority Speak
“To leverage the effects of social influence on bitcoin markets, investors should actively follow the most influential people in a social network to collect market information much more efficiently. However, the power of the silent majority should not be ignored, as we show that their sentiments can be the more important metric in predicting the movement of future prices,” concluded a research paper titled, “From Bitcoin to Big Coin: The Impacts of Social Media on Bitcoin Performance,” written by the Stevens Institute of Technology researcher, among others.

At the time, the research paper also pointed out that forum posts and tweets moved the bitcoin price differently. The impact of tweets was usually noted within an hour while for forum posts, it could take up to a day to see a reaction in the market.

This was explained by the fact that investors could respond to tweets at an intraday level, ensuring that the market reaction was more instantaneous. With forum posts, however, the discussions were more thorough with the result being that market reactions were most notable at the daily level.

https://www.ccn.com/bitcoin-price-depends-more-on-silent-majority-than-twitter-thought-leaders-research/

I know that most of the businesses were using social medias like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and etc. to promote the nature of their business and get their name out to the public. Does this really effect the value of bitcoin? Since there are lots of company doing this kind of marketing and only few of them succeeded when it comes to getting their name out, do you think bitcoin's price really depends on those silent majorities that are active in social medias?

My stand in here is that, the key players that really affect the price of bitcoin are the hodlers and emotional investors. I know that there are newcomers in the crypto sphere trying to join the hype but I think those new investors doesn't really invest huge amounts of money to something that they lack knowledge about.

What are your thoughts about this?
295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Campaign on: June 27, 2018, 01:49:18 PM
Facebook Campaign and signature campaign, which do you prefer?

I'd prefer signature campaign because its more convenient in my part and I don't have lots of followers in facebook so I don't qualify for it. Grin. I'm the kind of person who doesn't really involve oneself to social medias. I wish I did make facebook account few years back for me to be eligible to join facebook campaign. I just made my twitter account as well this month. Still earning some more follwers. Grin
296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How are pre-ICOs advertised? on: June 27, 2018, 04:34:56 AM
Hey,

I just wanted to ask because I am really interested...

How and how long do these companies that always make pre-ICOs millions of Dollars advertise their ICO?

They have to be geniuses or fake the amounts...

Do they really advertise for two weeks on social media and with signatures and then they raise so much money?

How does it work? Or do they find those big investors?

Is there anything that I do not catch?

Every company than plans to make a project have their own strategy in mind even before starting it. Most of them hire social media influencers from different areas in the world to get their name out and build reputation to the society. Most of the projects right now do have some back up with big company's that could provide assistance and funding to complete the project if ICO failed to raise desired amount. They always have plan B at the back of their minds. They don't have to fake it if their company is a legitimate one. It is very hard to persuade investors right now because ICOs are being regulated nowadays and if proven a scammy one then they'll be incarcerated for good.
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange it or Hold it on: June 27, 2018, 04:28:50 AM
Knowing that you could get free coins from Airdrops, would you exchange it once you got the coins or hold it until the vslue rises up?

It really depends on the coins that you got from the airdrops. There are some coins that has no potential and most of the bounty hunters after receiving their part of the deal, they always exchange it to btc, eth or even FIAT before the coin will lose its value. There are some bounty hunters that do hold the airdrops they received if they think that the project has a very bright future and there's a possibility that the value of the coin that they are holding will double or triple in value in a few weeks or months. Every individual have different perspective and beliefs when it comes to different coins that they received. We have different strategy on how to profit from those coins whether we hold it short or long term.
298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: can u explain why bitcoin can be a future currency? on: June 27, 2018, 04:24:26 AM
because bitcoin system was so protective and people in all country starting investment everyday, it makes bitcoin can survive from extinct

As of today I see bitcoin as an investment vehicle and not used as a currency. In the near future, since we are moving into the digital world and advanced technologies, when bitcoin's value becomes stable and less volatile then that's the perfect time for most of us to use it as an official currency that can be adopted by both public and private business sectors. We just have to wait what the future may bring with this awesome technology.
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: when is the right time to buy altcoin on: June 26, 2018, 11:06:59 AM
I want to ask, when is the right time to buy altcoins, help me friends, please give your best answer

I think now is the right moment for us to buy altcoins because their values are very low. We need to take advantage of the bearish market so that we can profit in the near future when the market recovers which is very much likely to happen. We just have to find the right altcoin that could give us a lot of profit for us to gain back the loss that we experienced during the bloodbath. Always do a thorough research for every altcoin so that you won't waste your money on shitty coin.
300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin overhyped? on: June 26, 2018, 11:01:26 AM
Is Bitcoin overhyped?

Every crypto enthusiasts do have different perspectives with regards to this kind of topic. There are some skeptics saying that bitcoin is just a mirage. I know that bitcoin's success created those hypes that's why right now the crypto market is suffering from a bearish one since there are new investors coming to crypto space who are investing emotionally and this can hurt bitcoin's value. New investors have different perspective when it comes to bitcoin, so if crypto market is bearish they do tend to panic sell and would really affect the value of bitcoin.
