281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Worlds Most Advanced Cryptocurrency Software? on: March 27, 2017, 12:38:03 AM
This seems very impressive! How come such the small MK?

Nobody knows about it. I own a bit and focus is on actual product rather than vapourware promises. Apparently hey have done no marketing yet so once they do I'm thinking it will blow up!

I think that is about to change. It looks like this has gotten some attention:

Does the rolling peg have a launch date?

planned towards the end of the year
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BitBay Decentralized Marketplace. Discussion. on: March 26, 2017, 08:47:48 PM
BitBay is the future only if the team know how to marketing their creation, their smart contracts could worth billions only if they able to compare to Ethereium.

i guess with 1 billion coin in existence, this coin only need to reach 1 usd to reach MK of 1 billion  Smiley

Great math skills man 👍🏼

Thinking of featuring BitBay in my next episode of the Crypto Times ( https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbI3K4-_7GEk9xrsJJ1UBkw )

What aspects of BitBay do you think differentiates it from competing smart contract coins?

Bitbay have the only true decentralised market. They use DDE which is double deposit escrow cutting out a middle man, which makes it true decentralised! All competitors use a middle man. It has many features in the wallet/market such as 'pay via email' & in wallet voting, which are firsts in wallet features.

Also David is in the process of creating another crypto first for Bitbay which is a rolling peg. This is the missing piece in crypto & will help  stabilise the price making it attractive for investors/hedge funds etc  & as an actual currency to purchase things as there will be no huge swings in the price within a short time

Between now and the peg he is also creating more features for the wallet/marketplace like barter contracts & others

The dev David Zimbeck In my opionion is the crypto Mark Zuckemberg. In 4 yrs he has taught himself to code, create blackhalo (which is what made blackcoin what it is now) bithalo, bitmessager, helped dev nighttrader, created the worlds 1st decentralised market and is developing the first rolling peg in crypto as well as many features within the wallet which are all firsts in crypto! He's a genius!

Heres a link to all the features Bitbay already have!! No promised but ACTUAL HAVE!

 http://bitbay.market/walloffeatures/

please join our slack group if you want to get involved or have any questions

David is very active in there and wil lanswer any questions u have.

284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bitbay smart contracts > ethereum smart contracts on: March 25, 2017, 08:44:53 PM
Bitbay has an actual working decentralised market! Ethereum is all promises with no product. Yet people have invested 400m into it whereas Bitbay has gone unnoticed. It's even cheaper to buy than sys & shadow which are. It in Bitbays league for software

Watch people start to see its potential and it will climb in adoption and MK.
285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official BitBay Thread |Smart Contracts Wallet UPDATE|Decentralized Marketplace on: March 24, 2017, 12:10:20 AM
As you can see David replied to your identical question 24 hours ago

Why won't David post the source code to GitHub?

Ethereum is available for inspection, why not BitBay?

The source is at www.davtonia.com/bithalo/haloobf.zip

Its not on github to prevent people who want to clone it and pump nonsense.

We are targeting a larger commercial market and not focusing on the darknet primarily. Moreso, trying to get people interested in decentralized markets. The source is there, can be audited and thats what counts most.

I work alone too and github is for collaboration. I've heard that devs don't usually contribute much to other projects so I would still end up doing the Lion Share and wouldn't get the stuff done any faster.
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official BitBay Thread |Smart Contracts Wallet UPDATE|Decentralized Marketplace on: March 23, 2017, 11:55:44 PM
How is the market decentralized when it's moderated and listings can be taken down?

The moderation system works like this:

I cannot possibly moderate the internet. All the markets are anonymous. If I or anyone in core don't know the name of the market we can't
possibly moderate it because it would be secret to us.

However if we discover a market that would be worth banning we can. Also we can give out the moderation key to people who insist.

Now the way users see this key is, they subscribe to that key. When they see the moderator send messages to them like "ban this user" or "ban this market" they do so.

Users themselves can FLAG orders. So there is also a decentralized moderation layer. If John starts a market that sells shoes and people start
posting job offers or advertisements that have nothing to do with the market his users can flag the order. After about 5 flags or so an order is removed.

There is also a second moderation key. One for supermod and one for regular mod. A supermod can shut down markets and perform public key
bans. A regular mod can remove orders.

Hopefully that explains it.

And it certainly is decentralized, those are simply basic systems. We can't moderate what we don't see. And ultimately we are not responsible for contents of the markets. I'm just a dev and we don't tell people how to use the software. No more than we can moderate google search results.

That doesn't make any sense at all.

I would like to see the code, because this all sounds like bullshit.

I think he explained it rather well!
Why dont you download it and see it working!

you will be able to look at 1000's of lines of code and understand it, but can't understand it when its explained to you in English? Are you a developer? Will you be able to understand 50,000 + lines of original code?

yet another 'new' account trying to discredit you David. All this 5 comments have been in Bitbay related threads. All trying to discredit the project. It shows you must be doing something right if he is taking the time to create new accounts and spend the evening commenting on every Bitbay thread. The question is why  . . . competitor or paid troll? My bet is the troll from 4Chan ;-) yes we are aware of you

Awesome!! built-in TOR feature will allow you remain anonymous & to conceal your location as well as the wallet voting and cold staking in 1 update!

Look whats implement today with the new wallet!

built-in TOR feature will allow you remain anonymous & to conceal your location

BitBay Release 1.26 Feature Focus – Tor Proxy

Over the last couple weeks we have focused on multiple ways BitBay update to v1.26 will provide increased security, including the Anti-Keylogger and Cold Staking. Here we want to tell you how BitBay will also protect your privacy by including Tor to conceal your location when using BitBay.

For the Client to function with all of its many features, it must request data from various URLs. For example,

• For Price Tracking to exist on the “Buy/Sell Coins” template, the Client must request updates from coinmarketcap.com.
• Once completed, the “Buy/Sell Anything” template will include both price tracking and a shipping calculator, which both require queries to shipping APIs.
• The Client regularly checks for version updates.
• The Client confirms timestamps and other minor data online.

This built-in TOR feature will allow you remain anonymous from these ‘under the hood’ requests. This feature is quite easy to set up. After you have installed and synced the Client:

• First make sure Tor is running
• Then go to Settings tab -> General Settings
• And in the ‘Proxy TOR’ field, type: 127.0.0.1:9150
• Then close the general settings window

Congratulations! Your Client is now masking your IP address for any Client related Internet requests! Just one more feature of many in which BitBay places your privacy and peace of mind above the rest of the competition.

Hi guys,

I'm a true believer in decentralized exchanges and a backer in Bitbay. I understand you are is discussions with David about integrating Bitbay, so you have my attention and a small investment.

Can I ask a few questions please.

Realistically what are your deadlines for beta release and testing, images of the platform etc? your roadmap on page 1 on here stops at 2014-11-10 and your website doesn't seems to have been updated for many months (you need a 'news' page/tab also).

People like myself look at these things and if i'm been honest it looks lazy and doesn't fill me with confidence to invest more. I'm thinking you are too busy coding to do maintenance so giving you the benefit of doubt  Grin.

293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitbay will replace Shadowcash as #1 marketplace on: March 21, 2017, 08:10:02 PM
I find the thread title does the shadowcash project too much credit by far. "... replace Shadowcash as #1 marketplace"Huh Like the shadowproject would have been a functioning "market place" at all... apart from the delusional promises of the so-called dev team there was no connex between something like "#1 marketplace" and "shadowcash" ever...

... and as the "team" just moved on and pulled the latest stunt by the so called "transition" from the shadowproject to particl I am quite sure that there never will be a functioning particl market place, let alone some value left from the "donations" of PARTs...from my subjective perspective the whole thing is nothing more than a quite elaborated scam.

So I am with you, yes: Bitpay has was it is needed and the dev team there seems to get it quite right so far. For their customers, that is, not for themselves, like the SDC people...

Yes I agree! Shadowcash havent even created anything! So to say Bitbay will overtake it is silly, unless you mean in Marketcap. If you do its on course to.  Its good to see 3 years of coding 10 hours a day finally been rewarded to the developer.

Looking forward to downloading the market later today

Great to see Davids hard work getting the attention it deserves.

This new wallet released this week will blow everything else away.
296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best innovative new altcoin I should buy? on: March 19, 2017, 12:04:04 AM

If innovation is important to you, you need to look at BitBay. It's the most secure and advanced wallet in crypto featuring amongst others:

-The worlds first decentralized market
-Pay to mail (only one in crypto so far)
-Cold staking
-Smart contracts
-Multisig
-Steganography (hide your keys in pictures. Only one in crypto)
-Anti-keylogger (Only one in crypto)

The list goes on and on. You can read the whole list here http://bitbay.market/walloffeatures/

This is our next update

The full list of this update is here: http://bitbay.market/bitbays-smart-contract-client-v1-26-updates-due-in-march/

Bitpay are also working with blocknet so they can get on the decentralised exchange when it goes live after the fork in a month or so.

Bitbay for sure! Hugely undervalued! Has features shadowcash & syscoin would dream to have! It's the worlds only true decentralised market as it uses double deposit escrow so no middleman is used. No other 'decentralised market' can offer this. Yet Bitbay is 6 times cheaper due to its marketing budget being stolen but the founder of QTUM when it was created. Eventually it will be a top 15 coin for sure as the cream always rises and they have actual product rather than make believe vapourware
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you get your crypto news from on: March 18, 2017, 03:42:17 PM
Altcoins with the biggest budgets get the higher MK's! Even with just whitepaper promises with no product!

Prime example is Bitbay! Has the best product and working tech but nobody knows about it. Other decentralised marketplaces such as shadow, sys have huge MK but they cant compete with what Bitbay have developed.
298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Cold Staking a 'must have feature' moving forward for all PoS? on: March 13, 2017, 12:07:10 AM
Huh?
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is Cold Staking a 'must have feature' moving forward for all PoS? on: March 10, 2017, 01:32:55 PM
With Bitbay's announcement that they have will be implementing Cold Staking in the coming days I was wondering which coins use it, and if you think its a 'must' have feature moving forward for all PoS?

Im aware of one other which is Decred.

Just to familiarise yourselves with the term 'Cold Staking' - It gives you the ability to put two keys on separate computers.  To break into your wallet the hacker would need to access both computers and break both keys.

300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Worlds Most Advanced Cryptocurrency Software? on: February 14, 2017, 07:26:42 PM

Can this coin deliver the same amount of security as bitcoin (backed by the strongest network on earth) while delivering faster and cheaper transactions in a decentralized onchain fashion?

If not, then it's probably not undervalued and not that advanced, because that is the main thing that is missing the crypto puzzle.

Security wise - you can store keys in different places on different laptops and within images so yeah! Security wise it's the most secure wallet!
