Exciting things happening

Its very early still

Price is slightly above ICO levels, so this is a great time to get in at the ground floor.

So what happened with this project?

It seems like an interesting idea.

Now the thread is dying/dead.

What did I miss?

Please remember that when you are guessing, or THINK you have figured something out, state it as such.

Dont post as if there is already proof of these ideas.

Thanks guys!!

I use Mobile Miner on Samsung Note 2 at 30.xx h/s but a day can only earn 0.0x ETN, anyone know why ? Huh

Something is wrong. That is NOT normal at all.

Is it the first one?
285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: July 11, 2018, 01:58:34 AM

Just deleted a comment that was still talking about the Devs making a behind the scenes deal with ASIC producers.

This is obviously not true.

Its being talked about as if its a proven fact.

Its silly. Ive let some of the comments stay, but now its getting old.

The future of the coin is not ruined because different machines are mining it. This actually makes the blockchain MUCH MORE SECURE than before.

The future of ETN does not hinge upon GPUs mining the coin.

Mass adoption is not based on this either.

The future success of Electroneum will be built on innovation, partnerships, utility, and adoption.

These are the things that will make ETN a success and this is what will happen. Plan on it.

Expect the price to possibly to fall to half the ICO price before it starts to rise. Expect a high valuation to take a year or two.

We are still gaining users at a faster pace than Facebook and Twitter did.

We are on REAL time here; not crypto time.

ETN is still in the VERY EARLY STAGES!!

MAKE NO MISTAKE. WE WILL BE THE COIN WITH THE MOST USERS WITHIN A YEAR OR TWO. THIS WILL GET US A LOT OF ATTENTION.

REMEMBER, ETN HAS THE BEST MARKETERS OF ANY CRYPTO TO DATE!! THE FIRST MARKETING PUSH HAS NOT EVEN STARTED YET!!!
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: July 09, 2018, 03:29:41 PM

Richard advertising asics now? LOL  Grin
etn devs can not do small algo diff tuning, but he says that supposedly it's bad miners jumping from coin to coin bla bla bla...

The above comment refers to the Devs not being able to do "small algo diff tuning"

This is incorrect info
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Electroneum a SCAM??? on: July 08, 2018, 05:20:00 PM
Electroneum has been able to run a very successful ICO! The unique proposition of it's ICO was very different and refreshing. I believe if electroneum keep to it's objectives and deliver on it's roadmap, it will be one of the critically important coin in the future of cryptocurrency!

Lol what a joke! They haven't kept to anything in their white paper. This is the shittest of all the shitcoins - alleged privacy-focussed, anti-ASIC, decentralised coin that has had it's privacy features removed, now welcomes ASICs again (after forking away from them) because no-one wanted to mine with GPUs because it was so unprofitable (I mean, there's supporting a coin you believe in short-term and then there's just plain stupidity, e.g. when the airdrop earns more ETN than you mine) and forced centralisation where you rely on their crappy infrastructure for the app that has daily issues and backlogs. Nothing in their roadmap has gone to plan. They are just holding out so they can cash out their ICO funds in November, when they are unfrozen.

Stop patting them on the back, they don't care about you or the rest of the crypto-community. If you don't believe me, do your own research - don't just read their propaganda and blog posts. When it all goes bang, they deserve to be investigated for fraud and mismanagement, watching them squander your 'investment' is crazy. It's embarrassing to be British and for this utter crapfest to be the first and only 'British cryptocurrency', I am so ashamed.

Never a "privacy focused" coin

Never touted as an "anti-ASIC" coin either

Mobile Mining is done

Instant Transaction Tech with patent done

New API tech for vendors done

Around 20 partnerships done already with many more coming

1.6 Million registered users. This is around half the number of BTC users, which has ETN on pace to be the coin with the most users soon

200,000+ Mobile Miners

Plus much much more

Tell me? Is it not likly that ETN will be in at least the Top Ten coins by MC when they have the most users of any coin??

Do the math on what that will do for the price
288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: July 08, 2018, 12:01:43 AM
10 cents worth a coin? dream on. maybe when the marketcap will be 10x as it is now. and even then the coin supply is huge for such a price.

I'am as well no fan of higher predictions/wishes for multi billion coins, but 10 cent isn't that much and doable. Even 20 in my opinion, now if
someone talks about $1 it might be too much asked and i personally wouldn't go far as that and bet on it, but than again, you never know.

20 cents has already been done

Higher all depends on two things

Do you believe ETN will be in the Top 10 in 2 years?

Do you think that the valuations of coins in the Top Ten can reach 5 to 10 times in 2 years?

I believe both COULD happen

I think that ETN will definitely be in at least the Top 10 by valuation when they have the most users of any coin, which should only take a year or two.

I also believe that the #1 coin, BTC, will break the trillion mark.

These two things puts ETN at $1 to $5

I know both sound crazy, but just look what happened on 2017.

$100,000 BTC and $5 ETN are totally possible IMO

Im not saying these are guarantees, but I think those that see this as impossible havent been around that long.

BCH reached $3500, BCH!!! Are you kidding me lol. Bitcoin Cash!!!

And

IMO, IMO guys

Sell your GPU and buy ASIC.

let the gamers get their GPU

I'm not going to lie, I have considered it from time to time. However..... The problem I have with ASICS its a one way ticket for hashing with a definite end (life cycle) usually sooner than later. If you don't make your ROI in the first 3 months or less you probably wont. You will end up buying more to keep up pace with the the network hash (if ya wanna make any coins) it becomes a never ending money pit to keep up. There may be other same coin algos to mine with them, but all algo related coins always seem to plane out at their respective hash rates and difficulty's. And usually all about the same daily earning potentials overall.

Where as with GPU's you will usually have many opportunity's over and over to go after other algos, or revisit old ones. Lots of wiggle room. I have GPU's almost 4 years old STILL making me money as I type. Nope you cant say that for ANY ASICS out there.

So the question is, do I want to go down that money pit road with ASICS that will become door stops far sooner than later. I usually end up talking my self out of the notion lol

I have a stack of Gridseed dual miners.... ya remember those? lol BIGGEST waste of my mining money to date, worthless and became that way within a couple months. Got a 30 Mh Gridseed G-Black Scrypt miner... worthless... not sure I ever broke even on it  Roll Eyes

If 10 of us are mining, I go buy an ASIC and the rest of you just have your GPU's, I am absolutely going kill it and scarf up all the coins we mine together in our pool, you get crumbs.

Now If we all go buy an ASIC and all 10 of us are mining, then now we are no better off on hashing, or shares earned, then we were with our GPU's in the beginning. ASICS are a one way ticket to no where  Wink

Long live ETN!!!   Cheesy

Im waiting to hear more about how well these new reprogramable ASICs work.

Maybe. You never know. Just maybe......

If you go to asics you sacrificing the most valuable thing, and that is adoption. You simply deny 95% of people the ability to participate.

Actually ETN with it's simulated cellphone mining has the best adoption available to be honest.
Just because a handfull switching forth a back miners have a coin less now doesn't mean for sure that adoption will be sacrificed.

Right now on the cell phone 131k simulated miners, that's pretty strog in my opinion.

I agree, but I think hes right about my question on the increase in price.

I think its because of the news of a Top 10 Exchange

293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: July 05, 2018, 11:57:40 AM
I'm quite amazed by the stupidity of ETN devs.

Because they did not fork their algo for quite a long time after the discovery of CN ASICs, the price dive big time, proving right those saying ETN is a real shitcoin. Then ENT devs decided to fork. Of course mining went down, especially in a bear market but the price was recovering much better than other CN coins, rocketing a +61.9% in the last seven days.

Now, with the devs announcement the coin has lost all credibility once and for all.

Where can I dump the few ETN I've mined ? Won't HODL them, it's useless.

The rise was after the announcement
294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: July 05, 2018, 02:44:42 AM

I know I might regret opening this can of worms, but lets hear the reason weve seen the ETN price rise around 50% in the last 24 or so hours?

What do you guys think caused it?

***I think it can only point to one thing***
295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: July 05, 2018, 01:03:06 AM
Contraband,

Your just to hard on us lol  Grin

But I get your point.

EDIT: But i also feel people should be able to vent a little over this, especially the miners who rallied around the new algo and supported it at the fork with uncertain payouts for days on end....

And i also think that the beloved dev team should see the frustration and criticisms in what ever form that may be... just food for thought.  Wink

You have two "venting posts" on this page lol
296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: July 04, 2018, 05:01:14 PM

Is this fork going to affect mobile mining in any way?

NO, YOU DONT HAVE TO DO A THING IF YOU ARE USING THE MOBILE MINER. YOU DONT HAVE TO CHANGE A THING

Why Monero no problems with asic-resist? What is "instant payments"? Transaction without confirmation? It's a scam?

Well the mobile wallet already shows a lil bit what it means. I would suggest you to use google translate and type; scam. It looks like you dont even know what scam means?? What the hell what have instant payments has to do with scam? Again; go to google translate and look what scam means.

Monero got a lot of problems with this asic-resist part, they got the same issues.

monero got the same issues? etn got only one problem - nicehash attacks.
so, monero got nicehash attacks? no...
what "the same issues" are you talking about??

SAME ISSUES, I WOULD GUESS THAT ITS IN REFERENCE TO THE FACT THAT MONERO WILL HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE NEW REPROGRAMABLE ASICs.

Bitman paid Coinbane to list ETN and dev to hard fork . End.

AH...NO...LOL Cheesy

Wow, I was wrong! I said yesterday they will not dare to go through another fork any time soon. And they did just that! This is the anti-anti-ASIC fork  Cheesy

Hey, partially I understand. Introducing a more agile adaptive difficulty adjustment fix requires coding. And we all know how bad these guys are at coding. As of me, I'm letting this project sink down the CoinMarketCap list. I'll either point my rigs to Monero or rent them on NiceHash.

They can code just fine lol
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: July 04, 2018, 06:35:22 AM
I think people may fear further price drops because asics are greedy and they dump?

Yes, we will see some of that. Im not sure how much more ASIC miners will dump as compared to GPU miners, but I would agree it is more.

Here I think its also important to note that the ASICs cant make the algo emit any more coins than GPUs.

The same total # of ETN per day will emit no matter which way you are mining.

As for price, Ive said before that we are most likely going to see a downturn for awhile, until we have more demand.

I dont think the fork will affect the price much. Everyone thought the price would go up after the fork we just had, but the downward trend continued after it happened.

Price is not expected to go up until there is more demand.
300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Official Moderated Thread on: July 04, 2018, 05:14:32 AM

I know this will be disappointing to the many of you GPU Mining.

I would suggest mining something else and use the profits to buy one of these new machines, or just take your profits and buy ETN on the market.

If new miners are coming out, that are ASICs that can beat algos that are ASIC Resistant, then that is the issue here, not the decision the Devs just made.

Like I said, I know this is disappointing to many of you, but if this is a widespread issue that will affect our similar POW competition as well, its the new ASICs that are coming that everyone should be upset with, not the Devs that are making a wise decison and getting out ahead on this.

These new "ASICs" that are reprogramable is a disappointing development in crypto as a whole.

Its comforting to see that we have a Dev team that wont let developments such as this affect the success of the project and its action steps and goals, that will make Electroneum the first coin to achieve true mass adoption.

Everything is still on schedule!!

reprogrammable asic is a mith.
if it will reprogrammable then it will have hashpower is ten (or much more) times less or it will be too much cost (not profitable).

It WAS a myth

It will no longer be a myth very soon

Apparently, the prototypes work, and they have reached the mass production stage.

I guess its possible that they fail to deliver on their promises, but we cant count on that, as there is no reason to doubt their claims.

Its a game changer for GPU mining in general, and not a happy one
