As Etoque pointed out, were currently going through the nominations and getting ready to list them on www.einsteinium.org for the vote. Obviously that will be followed by the donation.

The block reward will be having at that time as well.

Were going to be releasing some important information regarding the official Einsteinium Foundation Non Profit Organization, its directors, board members, location ect. That news should be accompanied by news regarding our scientific advisory board and who's holding some of those seats.

Right now the team is working hard on the Android wallet app, as well as some other secret stuff that I cant speak about just yet. Big things are in the works though and you can count on that.

Sorry to hear that you have got the problem with mac wallet. Is your mac Core2Duo by any chance? What exactly OS release does it run?

A bigger update to Android wallet is coming, it will make it compatible with the fork and and hopefully resolve performance problems.

There are already TW exploits out there and some exchanges are halting trading of coins using KGW.
We do not have luxury to wait I am afraid. Exchanges and pools will be notified directly.

We have just pushed new wallet - version 1.1
The wallet can be downloaded from the OP links and the website. Source is available on the Github.

In order to verify you are running the right wallet:

- download package should include 1.1 string (i.e. einsteinium-qt-1.1.zip)
- in help -> "About Einsteinium" you should see 8.7.1 version
- getinfo command should report: protocolversion 70003

This is a mandatory update, it aims to address KGW/TW vulnerability.

Main changes:

1. Replaced KGW with DigiShield - the fork is set at 56000 block - which will happen around 8 of April at 4PM GMT.
2. Increased block timestamp restriction (+/- 15 minutes), this is to address any further potential TW exploit - so please make sure time is in sync on your client / miner.

Please make sure you run the new wallet before 8 of April 4PM GMT.
If you miss the deadline, you will not be able to process / mine any new blocks on the network until you update (your existing coins in the wallet will be safe though).

Voted, I don't know how official this is though.. Guess we'll see who's correct in a bit.

The android wallet is not performing very well at the moment (especially on some devices) - this is due to number of blocks on the network and the fact that KGW implementation is not very optimal.
We are working on a fix - it will include extra checkpoints for faster sync.

In the meantime, you can monitor the progress of sync by going to 'Network Monitor' -> 'Blocks' (just swipe to the right). If the sync gets stuck for some reason, please try restarting the wallet or using 'Reset Blockchain option' (it should be used as a last resort as it forces wallet to redownload everything).

Alternatively, you can 'evacuate' coins from the Android wallet by using 'Back up keys' option, decrypting the output (openssl enc -d -aes-256-cbc -a -in <filename>) and importing private keys to Windows/Linux/OSX wallet (importprivkey <key>).

It does seem that there may be an issue with the android wallet app. Our app dev has been notified about the issue and should have a fix in no time.

I have asked him to come here and speak directly with you guys as I don't really understand android app dev so I'm no big help here.

I hope this is the case. As a matter of fact I hope its 10X more. Lets together start making real dents when it comes to our funding. The early days are behind, lets not be making any more donations in the $1000 range.

We now have the official foundation papers on the way as a registered NPO and this will allow the foundation to build long lasting bridges with a lot of very important and influential people.

This is just the begging of whats to come.

Were currently talking to experiment.com about a potential future partnership. This is by no means going to happen right away. We may need to make a few more donations before this should be considered. Were here for the long haul and we don't mind taking things slow. Were still less then 40 days old might I add.

I can say this though. The higher the price goes, the bigger the donation will be. The bigger then donation will be, the more of an effect we'll make.

Lets just keep chugging along, improving on things that need improvement and funding the future with the future of currency at the same time!

Just because I feel like were going to have many new eyes on us over the next while I figure I'll post a little update and explain what makes Einsteinium different...

What makes Einsteiunium different from all the other cryptoccurrencies around?

There are already hundreds of different cryptocurrencies and new ones are created almost every day. However, 99% of them have very little impact in the real world. Some of them try to seduce the public by associating their names and their logos to nice pets, valuable metals or refreshing plants, others try to convince the people that they have any chance of becoming an accepted currency in some country, some try to gain the favors of the public by implementing some technical innovation in its algorithms. This fact alone was able to put the basis for a very promising collaboration with Experiment.com. The first symptoms of a virtuous circle are already in place and clearly visible. More will follow.

As the community will rise, so will EMC2's prices vs other less useful cryptocurrencies– this will increase the funds which the Einsteinum Foundation's will be able to deliver to scientific programs, which in turn will trigger further growth.
