Sri Lanka did really well in this test match. They scored 418 runs in their second turn to bat and then bowled out Bangladesh for only 182 runs. Kasun Rajitha Lahiru Kumara and Vishwa Fernando did great job by taking important wickets and stopping Bangladesh from scoring more runs. Captain de Silva also scored centuries in both innings which helped Sri Lanka to win. Overall Sri Lanka deserved to win and they have started test series strongly and they did not give any lose point. |

Teams are looking fairly even and well matched in the IPL this season. I guess that's what happens when we have the luxury to splurge cash into buying good players for the franchise.
Yes you are right having experienced players like Dinesh Kartick can make huge difference in crucial moments of match. His quick innings definitely helped RCB get their first win of season. However I do not think that splurging cash on players is only factor that determines competitiveness of teams in IPL. It also comes down to team strategy coaching and player chemistry. It will be interesting to see how rest of season unfolds and if other teams can also step up and perform well. |

Apart from Mumbai Indians opener Ishan Kishan, every batsman in the top order performed well. Since the target was not too big, the top order batsmen played better in comparison. But I am fed up with the batting of Tim David, Dewald Brevis and Coetzee. Brevis batting was very slow in this match. He scored the highest runs for Mumbai. But the strike rate of Brevis was only 121. Tim David's batting was also slow. He collected 11 runs off 10 balls. The slow batting of these two batsmen was one of the reasons for Mumbai's defeat.
There is no doubt that the Gujarat bowlers have bowled very controlled. As they well knew, the target of 169 runs was very difficult to win. A win is impossible without a good performance by the bowlers. Gujarat's bowlers gave only 3 extra runs in this match. On the other hand, Mumbai bowlers gave 12 extra runs.
I also think that Mumbai lost because Tim David Dewald Brevis and Coetzee batted slowly. And we know that in T20 game every run is important. When a batsman scores slowly it can make it hard for the rest of team. Batsmen need to keep scoring runs and rotate strike especially when trying to chase target. Gujarat Titans bowlers did well by controlling match which helped their team to win match. By the way over all match was exiting. If we took a look back to the 5 matches which already played so we will see that competition is very high at this time. Almost teams are losing the match with a little margin. |

Bangladesh women's team has performed well at times which is unbelievable but could not score 100 runs in the first ODI match against Australia ie they were bowled out for 95 runs. All out for 97 runs in the second ODI match as well. Bangladesh will most likely not be able to touch the triple digit in this series with Australia, that is, they will not be able to score up to 100 runs.
The ODI series was confirmed by defeating Bangladesh by 6 wickets in today's match and no matter how well Bangladesh performs in the last match, they will not be able to win because Bangladesh-Australia cannot win this series for now.
I was also thinking that they will do something better in the second ODI but they again all out below 100 runs. But I will little appreciate the bowling of the Bangladesh Women team. Because in this Little target they collected 4 wickets of Australian Women team. Nahida Akter was good she bowled 8 overs and made two overs without any score. Rabeya Khan was also good. I think it is unfair to compare with Bangladesh and Australia team. Where is the ranking of Bangladesh and where is Australia? Australia is the first ranker team in women's ODI team rankings and Bangladesh women team is on 7 ranks. If we compare the rating then Australia women teams has the 162 ratings on the others and Bangladesh women's rating point is only 80 Australia is having more than 2x waiting point. So those are telling us who will be winner of this series.
I agree that it may not be fair to compare Bangladesh and Australia women cricket teams due to their differences in rankings and ratings. Australia team is clearly more dominant and experienced by their top ranking and higher rating points. It is likely that Australia will have upper hand in any series against Bangladesh but that should not forget efforts and progress made by Bangladesh team. So I think we also appreciate afforts of Bangladesh team. |

Sunrise Hyderabad lost this game but I will praise their hard work. Sunrise Hyderabad were hardworking enough to lose to Kolkata Knight Riders team after scoring 204 runs. Especially Kolkata Knight Riders performance was so good that only batting performance Salt and Russell these two batsmen performed well for Kolkata Knight Riders team. According to the performance of these two batsmen, Kolkata Knight Riders were forced to collect 208 runs, and the Kolkata Knight Riders team won by just four runs in the last minute.
By the way Sunrise Hyderabad lost, they should be praised for working hard in match. Scoring 204 runs was not easy and their effort was impressive. Kolkata Knight Riders had to depend on Salt and Russell great performances to win which shows that Sunrise Hyderabad fought well. The game was close and sometimes luck does not go your way. Both teams showed good skill and sportsmanship making match exciting. Overall match was really really really exciting. |

It was a comfortable chase by CSK. The game was about which teams score at a faster pace with more sixes. The bowlers had less say on both the innings. Ravindra Jadeja delivered the most economic overs for CSK at 5.25 runs per over. While RCB on desperation of wickets used multiple bowlers.
On a T20 batting 2nd is mostly a benefit. The pitch and weather doesn't change rapidly in short time and when you have wickets in hand, you know the target than it's easier to win. But the toss was won by RCB and it was their own call to bat first. Anyway, the opening game ended with the home team winning that would have made fans happy.
I agree that batting second in T20 match can often advantage as it allows the chasing team to assess the target and plan their innings accordingly. In yesterday case CSK comfortable chase and strong performance of their bowlers particularly Ravindra Jadeja played key role in their victory. While RCB may have made the decision to bat first ultimately it was CSK strong performance that led to their win. Overall it was an exciting game that likely left fans of home team satisfied with result. |

To be honest, every test match is not as entertaining as an ODI or T20 to the normal people. The people who are deep into cricket watch test matches probably enjoy it more than normal people. Test is the oldest format of game, some would say the purest form of cricket. But it is not that enjoyable in my opinion as well.
But the reason why the ODI and T20 series were more enjoyable was the rivalry between these two teams. And the time out of Angelo Mathews also added the spice to this rivalry. I think it will be more enjoyable than an ordinary test match between two average playing asian cricket nations. But I doubt if it will be more enjoyable than the ODI and T20 series.
Not everyone finds test matches as fun to watch like oneday or Twenty20 matches. Some people think test cricket is best form of game but it is mostly liked by those who really love cricket. Test cricket is oldest type of cricket and has lot of history but it might not excite all fans. ODI and T20 matches are more exciting because of intense competition between teams Some people like strategy and history of test cricket while others prefer fast action and rivalries of ODI and T20 matches. It all depends on what you like best. |

I think the results were expected from start of the series so no one should be shocked and surprised because just like every where in men and woman cricket Australian have shown thier dominance and to be honest they will give you a very small chance to win against them as they always stick with Thier tactics. Anyway if we have a look at score board Bangladesh done quite well especially at start of the match by sending thier top order to the pavilion before they make some handsome runs later some of thier middle order and lower middle order really hit them hard and through thier contribution they scored a decent defendable target. Now when it come to Bangladesh bat they give a decent start but unable to continue his momentum and later they way they middle order collapse were quite disappointed because they can play an important role while chasing but unfortunately unable to done his job properly and thus lose the match. Still Bangladesh has a chance to comback and show thier dominance
Yes of course Australian women cricket team was expected to win this series because they are very good at cricket. But we should also recognize efforts of Bangladesh team especially their top and middle order batsmen who did well. Even though they struggled in middle of game they can still improve and do better in future. We should not underestimate Bangladesh team and should give them credit for their hard work. |

Kenya shown very disappointing performance in the Second semi-final match against Zimbabwe. Kenya bowled out in just 126 runs score while chasing down 197 runs a huge total. The batting performance of Jonathan Campell is amazing in this match scored 42 runs from just 27 balls unfortunately, missed his well deserved half century by just few runs short but his effort and Tashinga Musekiwa brilliant 39 runs unbeaten from only ten balls reached total to high 197 runs for Kenya. Kenya Bastman is under pressure after seeing a huge total in the semi-final match. The final match of the tournament will played Tomorrow.
Yes you are right Kenya did bot play well in second semifinal match against Zimbabwe. Their bowlers had hard time stopping the Zimbabwean batsmen so Zimbabwe scored much runs that Kenya found hard to catch up with. Jonathan Campell did great job with his batting which was good thing for Kenya in a tough match. But whole team felt stressed after seeing Zimbabwe big score. So for now we will see Zimbabwe and Namibia in Final. |

Great recovery from Australia. They were 112/6 and then finished at 213/7. Alana King towards the end hit an amazing 46 from 31 balls. And Annabel Sutherland stabilized the innings with her 58 not out. Bangladeshi bowlers ran out of steam towards the end, and Fahima Khatun in particular proved to be very expensive. And in return, Bangladesh women are in a lot of trouble. They were 21/2, and now they have limped to 34/2 after 10 overs with Sobhana Mostary and the captain Nigar Sultana at the crease.
I believe that the Australia Women team showed great resilience and skill in their recovery from difficult position. Alana King and Annabel Sutherland performances were crucial in turning game around for their team. On other side Bangladeshi bowlers seemed to struggle towards end allowing Australian batters to take control of match. And according to the current situation Bangladesh women team have played 17 overs and made only 70 runs and lost 3 wickets. Trying well let's see what will happen.? |

Zimbabwe chased the low target 91 runs without loss of any wickets in just 16 over of the match and won the match by a huge 10 wickets against Nigeria. The Player of the Match is Owen Muzondo for his outstanding bowling performance in this match.
