The ODI thread is going to be dormant for a while. Until the T20 World Cup is over (which is going to take another 4 months or so), none of the full member nations are scheduled to play an ODI. A few test matches are scheduled here and there, but ODI is a strict no-no. And this actually raises questions about the viability of this format. ODI is getting squeezed between test format and the T20 format. And in India, we have a saying "न घर के न घाट के". This is exactly the sate of ODI cricket right now. It is struggling to survive.

I am very surprised to see the batting of Australia women team players. They are not able to bat well against weak opponents like Bangladesh women team.

Mirpur's pitch is bowling friendly as we know it. Spin bowlers will naturally have an advantage on this pitch. Australia's batsmen should have performed cautiously from the start of the innings. If the top order batsmen batted responsibly, the Australian team could easily have scored big.

According to first match condition and scores stats, Australia women squad is much stronger than Bangladesh women squad also Australia women squad played many innings previously and also displayed significant performance in these competitions. In the beginning on first match, Australia women batter did not played well and didi contribute good performance but Tahlia McGrath was wiped out from crease and Annabel Sutherland and Ashleigh Gardner came in ground for batting both these batters made strong batting partnership. Bangladesh women squad lost this match with high difference of scores which they can't achieve. I give partial blame to BCB. We have seen even in men’s cricket BCB were not able to attract any foreign broadcasters previously. Only the local broadcasters go to BCB because local people watch the game. That is why a part of the blame falls on BCB’s side which handles these broadcasting stuff.

But I think the rest of the thing has to do with popularity. Not many people, especially in Bangladesh, watch Women’s cricket. So it is not surprising to me that they could not even find a local broadcaster to show these games on Television. These will take time, especially in a country like Bangladesh.
