After losing the ODI series, Sri Lanka showed us their extra ordinary performance against Bangladesh and defeated their opponent, won by 328 runs. Honestly that's a lots of runs came from Sri Lankan's bat and bangladesh performance was too much poor to discuss. But for Sri Lanka, i calculate that, total 480 runs came from Dhananjaya de Silva and Kamindu Mendis, in 1st inngins and 2nd inngins. They both are enough for Bangladesh whole squads. Specially the most interesting thing was, when i saw they both again made their 2nd time century in 2nd inngins, that makes me goosebumps. They really impressed people with their legendary performance. And Bangladesh needs a lots of development in Test series. I doubt, they won't do well in next test match too

Bangladesh have a big task to accomplish tomorrow, they need 464 more runs and not much batsmen left for batting. Kamindu Mendis scored back to back centuries in both innings and what a test match he has. Kamindu Mendis and Dhananjaya de Silva are the real heroes for Sri Lanka in this match. Still a test match to come after that, so Bangladesh still have a chance to level the series provided they play well in the upcoming match.

Dhananjaya De Silva and Kamindu Mendis' batting partnership gave Sri Lanka a huge target of 511 runs. Sri Lanka team collected 418 runs in the second innings. The target is very big, and I was sure that Bangladesh will lose this match. Even then I thought we will see some good batting from the batsmen of Bangladesh. Bangladesh's batsmen may reduce the margin of defeat. But every batsman in the top order batted like a fool. We saw very boring batting from Bangladeshi batsmen. Bangladesh is probably going to be defeated by a margin of 400 runs.

The performance of all the players of the Sri Lankan team was outstanding in the first test match against Bangladesh. As the Sri Lankan team bowled well they batted well as well which resulted in them miserably defeating Bangladesh in the first Test match. The Sri Lankan players gave everything they needed to win a match in the first Test match against Bangladesh. The bad batting done by the Bangladesh team should take a lesson from the Sri Lankan batsmen that how to bat patiently and score a lot of runs despite the batting disaster.

Many people took it for granted that the Bangladesh team batted poorly in the first innings but they maintained that consistency in their second innings as well. Only Mominul Haque fought against the Sri Lankan bowlers in Bangladesh's second innings, perhaps his effort to put his team in a strong position. If a few more batsmen like Moinul Haque had played well Bangladesh might have been able to draw with Sri Lanka in this match but that didn't happen either. Sri Lanka took a one-nil lead in the Test series against Bangladesh after winning the first Test match.

I think it is high time Bangladesh dropped Litton Das from the squad. What was that on the second innings? He was chasing a score of 500 and he had two whole days. But he came out and charged like he had to score six from one ball. Of course, the whole Bangladesh team was stupid but that stood out the most.

I am not sure about throwing out Litton Kumer Das from the team. His recent form has been bad, but for the last 3-4 years, he was one of the best Bangladeshi batsmen around. And who will be the replacement to Litton? If you are talking about Mahmudul Hasan Joy or Zakir Hasan, then I have my reservations. They are very inconsistent. Good performances in one or two matches may not be enough to get a higher priority when compared to Litton. Anyway, the second test will start on 30th March. Let's see how it is going to turn out.

^^ They have a reason to worry about him but IMO he's a class act and arguably one of the best batters in Bangladesh. It's just the poor guy is going through a rough patch, which happens to everyone.

Once the team starts to win, Das Babu could come back with the form as well, even if he manages to score 50 odds runs. I think it might happen in the next test match because possibly we'll witness the spin track in the next match and rumors are popping up that Shakib might come back so another boost for the team and openers.

If the batsmen of Bangladesh could have batted well in the Test match, the game would have been very competitive even if they could not have won the match against Lanka. I lost the ODI series against Sri Lanka due to bad batting. Bangladesh won the T20 series. Compared to ODI matches and T20 matches, Bangladesh batted very badly in Test matches. If Bangladesh could have batted like T20 or ODI matches, then Bangladesh would have won the Test match. Bangladesh lost the first test match due to bad batting so Bangladesh batsmen need to bat more responsibly if they want to win the second test match against Sri Lanka. Bangladesh need to focus on batting and bowling otherwise they will never win the match against Sri Lanka.

I am not sure what they will gain from this win. Sri Lanka has performed pathetically against the pig-4 nations recently. After the retirement of Malinga, they are without a world class player. They do have some good spinners like Theekshana and Hasaranga. But apart from that they don't have a well balanced team to take on the best sides. Bangladesh is in even poor situation. The only time they perform well is when they play against SENA nations in dust bowls prepared at home. Even that didn't worked against Sri Lanka.

that's true also. Many new players has been selected to perform in Bangladeshi International test cricket team. They probably had given good performance in national level but they cant fight properly with International matches, Cricket Team like Sri Lanka. Besides the other reason is, many senior players are missing or announced retirement from Bangladesh. Sakib, Mahmudullah riad, Tamim, Mushfiqur Rahim are missing (although they played in BPL Recently). Where i even can't recognize most of the players like Nahid Rana, Khaled Ahmed, Shahadat Hossain, Mahmudul Hasan who are in the squads of Bangladesh test team. when Sri Lanka still have their senior and good players in theri match. I guess, Bangladesh is going to lose again in upcoming test match what going to held in 2 days. Cause it seems captain Dhananjaya de Silva and Kamindu Mendis are in their best time of forum.
