GT so far have played two IPLs and they are last year runner up while winner in 2022 IPL, based on historic performance they are one of strong side in this year IPL also. MI had unlucky start of the IPL, they were going good until Rohit Sharma and Dewald Brevis were batting on the crease. Once Sharma and Dewald Brevis got out match started slipping away from MI and they ended up losing the game by just 6 runs.

Cummins and Starc performed like crap and were overhyped as expected. There are extremely few cases of big budget players actually living up to their prices in the IPL so far based on my observations.

Which few players if I may ask?

IMO there is no way even player himself can justify prices which these two are sold for. I'm sure they try their best to be 'worth it' but it's just not possible and it's just lapse from bidders to pay such hefty prices.

Mumbai Indians' defeat was completely unexpected. And I would say Mumbai lost this match because of their overconfidence. The batsmen were very confident. So the team failed to win even by batting at such a small target.

The match went out of Mumbai's hands at 13-17 overs due to Mumbai's poor batting. In these 5 overs, Mumbai collected only 26 runs with the loss of two wickets. The target was low, so naturally the Mumbai batsmen batted cautiously. But the lower order batsmen could not perform their duties properly.



I will blame Hardik Pandya for the defeat. Pandya is an experienced batsman. He certainly managed to adapt to the match situation very well. Even then he could not bat responsibly. Pandya returned to the dressing room after collecting 11 runs off 4 balls.

Yes, Mumbai Indian wins from very hard situations. This match was very exciting for cricket-loving people. Gujarat Titans was playing well. Things are not going on well with the Mumbai Indians. The replacement of Rohit Sharma with Hardik Pandya hasn't been accepted by the fans. Yesterday when Hard dick went for the toss, MI fans were booing him. And I am sure that some of the team members are also unhappy with this decision. Hard dick chose to bowl the first over as well, instead of Bumrah. This also didn't worked as he was quite expensive. If things are not sorted out, then there is a good possibility that MI may not even qualify for the playoff stage.

Yesterday was the first match of Gujrat Titans in this IPL where we have seen Hardik Pandya to play but not for them as we know, he made a move in his IPL career when he left Gujarat Titans to play to them. Yesterday he was playing against them and now we are missing with him in the black jersey.

Yesterday Hardik Pandya came back after his injury but now his performance is not as good as it is precious but he came from a very hard injury therefore maybe he had to recover it after many games but hope that we will again be able to see old Hardik Pandya and for sure in the first match after injury, he will not be perfect and full in form but in the upcoming matches he will be playing good.

It’s my prediction because if look at the history of another cricketer that is Naseem Shah. As we have seen in the first match of PSL, he didn’t play all that well but in the later matches, his performance was way good. I am sure as the tournament progresses we will see Hardik Pandya full in action.
