Warren is just a person afterall, he does not know everything. Bitcoin can indeed be replaced by another cryptographic currency but who knows.
282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which will be the first country who will accept bitcoin ? on: October 05, 2015, 12:27:51 AM
I don't see any of these countries using bitcoin officially to be honest.
283  Economy / Economics / Re: A country would have to be a damn fool to start a national cryptocurrency. on: October 05, 2015, 12:26:13 AM
Bank and government will adapt blockchain as solution to running economic with low maintenance cost
Even they introduce their cryptocurrency, normal people cannot see it's blockchain, mine or run full nodes. They'll force everyone use centralized wallet.

So, i think bank or government cryprocurrency will be worse than the most stupid altcoin

Isn't that a funny truism?

Even Dogecoin would be orders of magnitude better than the *best* implementation of any JP Morgan Coin or bitRuble.
They are better by design but govenments have guys with guns to enforce what ever currency they want us to use.
284  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Google Voice $1 (Used in one site) on: October 05, 2015, 12:23:48 AM

285  Economy / Auctions / Re: [Auction] Website generating profit of $300-400 per month on: October 05, 2015, 12:20:41 AM
Do you mind sharing the upkeep costs for the website? Do you have an estimate of how many hours/week of work it takes to maintain the site?
286  Economy / Gambling / Re: Where are you Gambling right Now !? on: October 04, 2015, 10:47:00 PM
I am also using just cloudbet right now. I used to dabble with poker on sealswithclubs back in the day.
287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Deprecating Bitcoin Core: The Emergence of a Nash Equilibrium for Development on: October 04, 2015, 10:44:46 PM
I'm a bit confused about these forks. Are these esentially altcoins? Will this affect the price of bitcoins?
288  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Self-Driving Cars Could Save 300,000 Lives Per Decade in America on: October 04, 2015, 08:45:29 PM
I wonder how many people will be killed due to errors in these self driving cars. GPS navigation systems and google maps are not even fully accurate.
289  Economy / Marketplace / Re: All in one marketplace! What do you think? on: October 04, 2015, 07:13:22 PM
I really would like a good organized system to sell stuff. I would also like a very organized system for escrow to thwart scammers.
290  Economy / Economics / Re: What you will do if bitcoin price drops to 50$ and you have lots of bitcoin on: October 04, 2015, 12:11:40 AM
I have a feeling bitcoin won't go under 200ish anytime soon. If it drops to $50 i will buy some more.
291  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold Losing It's Shine? on: October 04, 2015, 12:05:58 AM
Gold has its value but it was definitely hyped up in recent years. I prefer bitcoin because of the portability of it.
292  Economy / Economics / Re: POLL: Bitcoin Inequality on: October 03, 2015, 11:33:13 PM
Wealth inequality exists in the real world as well. Wealth equality is a pipe dream that will never exist.

if we all think like that, it will never change. bitcoin is still fairly new. i think it is still possible to spread the coins more equally at some point in the future. but that will only happen if we stand up and start doing something about it.
I know these thoughts are well intentioned but people will want to compete irregardless of what the system is. It is just human nature.

294  Economy / Economics / Re: 62% of New Millionaires come from Asia on: October 03, 2015, 10:42:10 PM
There is a lot of cheap labor in Asia so there is a lot of opportunities for entrepreneurs. I wonder how many of those millionaires in Asia are expatriates from the West.
295  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: tax customs in different countries on: October 03, 2015, 10:39:31 PM
I'll just leave this here to make everyone else happy about themselves: Brazil ~80% import tax

Bitmain will not send lower invoice, I already tried everything. Don't waste your time, it's a monopoly and they will not care.
Isn't it possible to have things shipped to Paraguay and pick it up there? I imagine it would be worth the trip since taxes are so high,
296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: T-Mobile US ‘incredibly angry’ at Experian over data breach on: October 03, 2015, 10:35:58 PM
I prefer to buy prepaid cards for my phone in cash anyway. Sucks for those customers.

298  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Lenders, please don't lend without a proper collateral! on: October 03, 2015, 09:50:17 PM
I just don't bother with lending in the first place with bitcoin. You are jus asking to be scammed.
299  Other / Politics & Society / Re: China Continues to Tear Down Crosses From Zhejiang's Churches on: October 03, 2015, 09:06:23 PM
Although i am atheist I really hate these oppressive governments. Government should have no say in what religion somebody wants to practice.
300  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to motivate women to use Bitcoin? on: October 03, 2015, 07:54:01 PM
Women will use it if it becoms mainstream. Let's face it, most bitcoin users are nerds and most nerds are men.
