nothing in stone.. maybe next year?
keep an ear to the ground for codename casper..

unlimited supply thus far but the mining rewards are loosly 5 eth per block, block every 14 seconds or so is target.
after the switch to proof of stake it will likely stay sans hard cap but i would imagine greatly reduced reward distribution.

hrmm you're getting the HW errors too.. undercocked its rock solid but at factory frequency and an overrated psu.. i am averaging over 1% HW errors, is this the norm for all batches?

i have played with various BB boards on my S7 and the most recent 2 fan firmware works fine on my 1 fan S7.
so long as there is one fan reporting some sort of functionality you're golden.

my ethminer used to show my hashrate, then it would show = double my rate /s
now after an upgrade its showing = half my rate / 0.5s
have you removed some dual channel mining abilities?

why not just use a pool running a classic client?
its like going to a ford dealership to buy a car but asking them to put fiat badges on it before driving off the lot.

i'm not sure i agree that gpu mining is easier.
i suppose it depends on the scale.
if you are just mining with whatever you have on hand for gaming.. sure, you can download a miner and point it at a pool. but even then the chances of getting ideal hash rates in this scenario are not guaranteed. many come here with "i'm only getting XX MH/s when other people are getting double" problems.
where as with bitcoin equipment, you buy, plug an address and wallet into the web interface, and walk away while the coins dribble in.
if you are planning a farm, eth vs btc really needs a properly designed, implemented and constantly tuned infrastructure to execute an operation that really tops out its gains. but its worth it if you have the drive and technical ability.

from what i recall, early on the rush to buy thedao tokens caused gas price requirements to be higher and a lot of transactions did not go through.
i think bittrex allowing you to set fees is a good thing.
polo's redirect though, where you can send from one wallet and receive in another, through them.. thats pretty cool though.
i dont think either exchange is going anywhere anytime soon.
in the end its best to use your own wallet for full control of your contributions.

Hey guys,
I just started my miner on the ethpool.org.
I use claymore and I get 61,5 MH/s. Have submitted 120 shares now.
The pool does show me this 61,5 MH/s but it still shows 0 shares..
Am I doing something wrong or does it take time until the shares are shown?
It's running for about 3 hours now.
do you have any balance showing yet? try ethermine briefly and see if you get a balance within a few mins

yes! i have noticed this as well. miner estimates are far too optimistic in qt wallet.

Release candidate windows binaries have been published. These builds are introducing support for the new kind of addresses, which are purposed to provide a significant degree of anonimity. AMD64: LevelDB | BerkeleyDBx86: LevelDB | BerkeleyDBFeature will be activated since 20 March, 2016. Additional details will be published a bit later. I will definitely be adding this coin to my staking PC today, thanks for keeping up the good work. good luck with that, let me know how it works out for you.

aaaaand looks like someone stuck a fork in her.. shes done.

Or maybe someone needs to buy a bunch of coins and stake them. This coin is almost at record low prices so you definitely aren't getting ripped off if you can save the coin and get it staking again.
thats tantamount to extortion

Barely anyone that has invested in Bitcoin has spent, or is planning to spend, their Bitcoin. Especially on a site like expedia, just use your credit card. Don't you have one?
time to change that.. the more coins actually used the faster adoption really grabs hodl. btc is perfect for hotel stays vs say over the counter purchases like coffee or gas. because the transaction easily confirms by the time you are out and on your way again. plus its fun using new methods to pay for the same stuff you've been into for ages. remember the first time you saw one of these? probably not, its pretty old school.

Not quite sure what to read into a return to the 2 Fan S7? Perhaps they will be "Second Hand" units that have been replaced with S9?
Rich
my bet is that they had some faulty fans and the spare reduces urgency of any return issues. plus its better to market a "free" fan then drop the price a lot more than the cost of said fan to appeal to buyers.

Batch 17 is up.
Double fan version.
Shipping may 23.
its two 12038 10k rpm fans, which is a good thing if one fails but probably overkill if they're functional. hs config looks like its the same newer design. no price break though considering halving is so near. interesting.

Use Cheapair.com - they are all about bitcoin
ditto this, tried expedia earlier in the year and they only offered purchase with bitcoin when hotel packages were included with airfare anyways. cheapair.com found me a better rate and no hassle bitcoin payment at checkout. don't forget to buy back some coins if you spend..

Hi guys! I wanted to ask if I can mine eth without downloading the whole blockchain...I will send my money directly to polo so keep that in mind!
of course you can. it is not recommended to sent mining rewards directly to exchange wallets though. although i personally have not had any issues with it in the past. you will have a DAG file created for mining ethereum though which you may have confused with the blockchain. you will still need 2GB or more of video memory.

isnt the blockchain stuck because of high difficulty?
just keep the large wallets offline and split balances into smaller parts, preferably creating more nodes in the process.
has this been attempted yet?
