281  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Split: How do I retrieve Bitcoin bought in 2010 on: June 09, 2022, 05:10:51 PM
So did people in 2010 when buying from a website actually sell wallets (or private keys) rather than sell Bitcoin that they would then transfer to the buyer?

If that ever happened it would belong to the minority side but I can't imagine someone who ask for private key/s as a means of withdrawal had a clean intention... My guess is OP was scammed and/or is relying on some hazy memory.

Yes,,, that was my thought exactly. I know I asked the question but I sort of knew the answer myself. My belief is anyone using Bitcoin in 2010 knew about private keys and self custody and all that since really there was even the only way to send things like that and using PGP and everything. People in those days the early adopters are not like us I always feel (or like me anyway).

Seems like a very weird way to overstep the technology, not to mention the person probably sent you all that information over insecure channel (assuming you told the truth).

Simplest way to get more info is to look up your Paypal information from 10 years ago,,, trust me they still have it.
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Price of Litecoin 2022? on: June 08, 2022, 11:56:20 AM
I think litecoin did its job well, looks like you are just looking for litecoin price appreciation to achieve your own goals and you are not satisfied with litecoin because the price is not what you want. Looking at the top coins of Bitcoin's contemporaries like bitcoin cash, Neo… I see that LTC is doing better than all the rest. LTC is not hyped but it is slow growing and steady, low volatility, I see LTC as a safe haven during bearish times along with bitcoin.

I have some LTC so of course I feel disappointed that while BTC and ETH are trading above the 2017 ATH levels,,, LTC is barely at 33% of those ATH.

The old dev/founder Lee also made his promise good,,, to stick around until price reached old ATH, which it did, but it never went up higher.

On the other hand, LTC is the silver of crypto, the silver to Bitcoin as gold. That never changed and still has a loyal network. I think those are way better than the 'gone tomorrow' shitcoins.

286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io UEFA Nations League Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: June 08, 2022, 10:19:55 AM
LuckyGuy did it again. Got exact points on both games and thanks to England who now has my Kane as the second-highest English goalscorer in internationals.

Of course did not able to watch the game,,, but from the readings it seemed like the draw was a deserved outcome for both teams. Tough point away at Germany  Cool
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your opinions about fan tokens? I'm thinking to invest in them on: June 08, 2022, 08:41:18 AM
What do you need to think? I see all those Lazio Barca Juventus PSG fan tokens and they are suffering the same fate,,, if not much worse than regular coins.

The real fans watching games will never buy those tokens, trust me. They would rather even buy Panini stickers than waste money giving tokens their funds. Not all the fans like this kind of moneygrubbing commercial activity.

Where is the real utility?
288  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: June 08, 2022, 08:09:08 AM
More Nations League nothing where the pick of the fixtures is Germany vs England. One of the longest & most passionate, highly contested fixtures since football began, with all the history, the 1966 World Cup & other non football related issues but we won’t mention them.

After England lost to Hungary, they really can’t afford another loss here. Their old foes, the Germans will be looking to end England’s hopes though. Should be a good game, under 2.5 goals seems an attractive bet imo.

And my man Kane helped to avoid that loss precisely, won the foul for the penalty and took it calmly. He actually moved and struck to his favorite spot (bottom left corner) and I am sure Neuer knew that 100% but it was a mind game the England captain eventually won, to the detriment of the German captain Smiley

So much drama but they are still safe, it was never easy to get points on home soil Germany.

I did not even realize there was a Nations League 4-3free,,, but there is a new one up right now for the NBA match tomorrow Celtics vs Warriors. I went for mostly Celtics, and Curry to get 4+ 3 pointers since that guy seems to find a way all the time.

I have been building up USDT balance slowly over the months thanks to freebets, my mbtc balance is the one suffering a lot  Cheesy

@rdbase

Wait so you could just never fight and retain the title if you never accept a challenge? There must be a rule against that otherwise it is just well,,, weird and unfair.

I guess it is still a long complicated journey for me to understand this, I am more used to a body that determines these things and puts down fixed seasons otherwise it is just impossible for longterm planning  Wink

Thanks Smiley
291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Collection Thread] Series and films in which Bitcoin (or Altcoins) appear on: June 07, 2022, 09:03:44 AM
@franky1

Netflix I get but surgical masks? Stocks for them really went so high? Why isn't Bitcoin #1?

Much much easier to get BTC than to get stocks,,, but I guess maybe in america it is easy to get all those stocks from mobile apps rather than get BTC from Coinbase or something huh.

Nice share Smiley
292  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun | 0.28% House edge | Live tables | Baccarat |Slots| InstantWithraw on: June 07, 2022, 07:02:17 AM
Profitable for house.

It is clear that it is profitable for the house, otherwise they would have to close the business, what I did not know is that in these games in which you play against the house, you can also make a profit regularly, as Coin_trader comments. I guess it is an attraction for the gamblers, but the ones who make profit must have things very well calculated and know very well what they are doing, as Coin_trader seems to do.

You can always make profit,,, that is always a possibility. Chance and probability and house edge is what makes it profitable. That is a given. Variance but also promotional boosts that take away house edge puts the chance in your favor,,, which makes it POSSIBLY profitable for you.

Blackjack 0.28% house edge is a very low figure to overcome. Add promos and you are in positive territory,,, as explained many times Wink

I'm back on track - 2 exact predictions in a row and I'm 3rd now, up by 7 places  Cool
Austria - Denmark game was delayed by 1.5 hour, but it was worth waiting because it was entertaining game to watch. Austria had so many moments to score and achieve draw, but failed to do it. And did you saw what huge mistake Schmeichel did? It doesn't happens often with him.
Didn't watched Croatia - France game in full, but from what I saw 1:1 result reflect game.
On Tuesday we have big game between Germany and England. And Hungary will face Italy. Can they make another upset?

Well done well done!

I am just so glad I got 1 exact, cannot believe France made such a dumb draw but it seems a lot of people knew that was going to happen. Croatia beaten by so many goals and then draw to France, how is this a match against one of the World Cup favorites?

I hope Germany trounce England and wake them up they look so so bad.
294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BNB or ETH ? on: June 07, 2022, 05:08:24 AM
Polls will only get bots voting and false impression anyway.

I started using BNB or BSC Dapps myself but I know full well that if things come down to it,,, Binance devs have got zero on Ethereum devs. I know the delays are making everyone upset for ETH 2.0 but I remember people getting pissed with Bitcoin devs as well for the same reason (slow and stubborn). Look where Bitcoin is now though. Powerful, strong, secure, and still the best chain out there.

Ethereum will also be that in years to come, strong secure and the best dapp chain.

I have not seen any recent poll these days in the altcoin section. But are there really bots voting? As far as I can remember the last poll I participated was either in the speculation section or gambling section. But the votes are few that's why I think there were no votes coming from bots. They don't profit from it anyway.

Ethereum has always been the strongest altcoin. They have nothing else to prove. In fact almost all hypes in crypto started on the Ethereum blockchain. But the room for development for them is still big. So there is still growth happening in the project.

Well I say bots but I guess I just mean multis or spammers Wink I think the real polls with votes only happen in threads that are aggressively monitored or moderated,,, the rest I would not even trust the results as they would only show the belief of a few people with plenty of accounts. So yes, whichever case not reliable results.

Ethereum does have something else to prove in my mind, that it can be a better DAO than the DAO it was meant to be right in the beginning. That will be something eternal to prove Smiley
295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: June 06, 2022, 11:11:35 AM
Thanks for the explanation rdbase,,, somehow saw the response late. Yes, I guess I am learning now there is no UFC seasono since it is just about fights and opportunities. But it still does not seem like a predictable way to see who a title holder can be and who can challenge. It seems this way a person can hold a title for longer than expected time. Does their rating 'expire' if they did not fight for a while?
296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BNB or ETH ? on: June 06, 2022, 09:00:23 AM
You should have made a poll on this if you really wanted to get the number. But if I were to choose, I would choose Ethereum over Binance 100%. Ethereum has made a lot of original contributions to the crypto space. It has actually made cryptocurrency more than just a currency. It has widened the crypto market a lot, pushed its limits and borders much farther. As for Binance, for me it was just a crypto exchange created solely to make money. And then they thought of joining the bandwagon for the rest of their projects.

It seems that Juventus and Pogba have finally reached an agreement and Pogba's salary will be 8 million a year without bonuses.

I have doubts about how much Juventus will benefit from Pogba. Juventus needed a regular scorer. But Pogba is a midfielder. Juventus need an experienced striker to win the title

I never really understand these players willing to get traded between the same two clubs over and over again. But I can definitely understand why he wants to go back to the club where he became famous,,, the Pogba I saw most of the time, whenever I could, was always having his head down at Manchester United.

France need him for World Cup to get his confidence back.
298  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun | 0.28% House edge | Live tables | Baccarat |Slots| InstantWithraw on: June 06, 2022, 05:57:27 AM
The wagering competitions, even if they are profitable for some gamblers, will surely be profitable for the house, otherwise they would not do it. Playing poker a long time ago I stopped chasing rake races, which would be something similar to this, because playing more volume made me lose profitability at the tables, and I guess this is similar. Apart from the fact that over the years the rakeback through this and other ways has been decreasing.

It is all a gamble too ironically all these competitions but I know for sure they are profitable for the casino. Again as mentioned above by slaman also it is all about house edge and expected profit/loss over the long term.

80 mbtc prize pool for the wager competition on a daily basis with house edge of 0.28% that means they need people to wager 3200 mbtc per day and this is done every single day.

Today for example,,, 1st place alone is over 6000 mbtc with 4 hours+ left to wager.

Profitable for house.
299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io UEFA Nations League Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: June 06, 2022, 05:09:52 AM
Well at least i scored my first point in this pool, this its getting really tough.

I cant belive how Spain allow Czech Republic to score two goals. When they draw the match i thinked they can win easily but that clearly not happen.

Terrible outing for most people but I guess we all scored the point in Portugal, but look at SwordsRex and MoSala guessing the draw for Spain correctly! I get haunted by seeing all the familiar names like MoSala appear again and again in all the pools  Grin but who is SwordsRex by the way?

Anyway now you guys who did not watch know how bad it is for us who never get the chance to watch most games. Like we are literally relying on reports to predict  Roll Eyes

You guys do know the only way you get the airdrop is to have the original Luna/Terra right? So if you hold it,,, you will get it, no need to launch or do any new ones.

This is how a scam perpetuates itself,,, feel sorry if you got scammed by Classic original Terra but I will not feel sorry if you go back in to get fooled all over again!
