281  Economy / Economics / Re: Decentralized marketplaces will put Amazon out of business on: November 08, 2018, 03:59:53 PM
The problem is that centralization and scaling up enables low prices for end customers and quick delivery times. Peer-to-peer marketplaces (e.g. OpenBazaar) will definitely take place next to the giants of e-commerce, but putting Amazon "out of business" is highly unlikely.
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the best mobile multicoins wallet for neophytes? on: November 07, 2018, 11:47:07 AM
What BIP39 mobile wallet (needs to support BTC/ETH/LTC/BCH) would you recommend?

In this case (noob user), ease of use > features. No in-app advertisement or buy/sell option is a plus to avoid confusion/mistake/scam.

Thanks for your insights.

Coinomi should fit your needs, I can personally recommend it. Unfortunately, there are buy/sell/exchange options in the app, but they are well described, so you shouldn't make a mistake.

If it was for me, I'm confident I wouldn't make mistake using Coinomi Wink But it's more "What wallet would you install on your grandma's smartphone if she wants to try?"

That is a tough one, indeed  Smiley It is racking my brain now but I cannot think of any multi currency wallet that would be so easy to use. And that is maybe a business opportunity to create one.
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] KZCASH - KZC on: November 07, 2018, 11:43:19 AM
I also liked the former name more. I would just change the abbreviation of the abbreviations in place of the developers, but I would leave the characters themselves KZCASH.

What happened to the old KZCASH? Did the team change? Why was there a change of name and ticker? I would like to know more about it, hopefully there is some article about recent changes.
284  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency Volatility: Creeping Evil or Essence of Crypto on: November 07, 2018, 10:29:13 AM

Volatility should be at the epicenter of attraction for crypto if there is to end up being a future through which crypto is employed widely in everyday instances. However, it needs a lot of bravery, plus some tactical know-how, to successfully navigate the lows, to retain oneself safe, and sane, along with contributing positively to be able to a burgeoning crypto overall economy.

Patience is the key here to deal with anything that is related to crypto and blockchain. A calm mind will always get maximum output. Cheers.

I only quoted the important part of OP about volatility. Volatility is the most precious and valuable attribute of cryptocurrency markets. There is nothing more destructible for trading accounts than sideways movement.
285  Economy / Economics / Re: Large volume on: November 07, 2018, 10:18:25 AM
The high interest of Korean investors was noticed.Volume in dollars and transactions.

According to the picture, it doesn't look authentic to me (maybe zoomed?). We have seen plenty of wash trading and artificial volume among Asian crypto exchanges so it might not be conclusive.

287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2018 is not a year of profit making, but for investments on: November 06, 2018, 11:35:34 AM
This is one of the most challenging years in the world of cryptocurrency since the onset of its existence, but it has proved itself for not a profit-making year rather for investment time in the world of cryptocurrency. This is the best time ever to invest in cryptocurrency. We have been experiencing bearish time since the beginning of the year and this is still ongoing. The best alternative in bearish time is to do long-term investment. The wise ones always invest in this time while the foolish ones back out from the market. Bullish time will soon take over from the bearish time. Then, the wise ones will take over the market.

There are so many ways you can invest at this bearish time; the first one is to look for good projects that have great potential to be successful and invest in them either by buying their ICO or through the bounty campaign. Secondly, you can look for good coins or tokens that are already thriving in the market before the bearish and invest in them.

I will like to know your take from this post

It is funny how plenty of people predicted profitable end of the year (2018) back in the summer. Bullish pressure didn't come so we accumulate and keep hoping now .. Seriously, every market goes up and down regardless it is stock market, sugar, wheat, bonds, fiat currencies. Take it as a fact, count your risk-reward ratio and do your research  Wink
288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [TOKENSALE] Omnitude (eCommerce blockchain) on: November 06, 2018, 10:21:28 AM
Hi Omnitude, just confirming i've got my coins sitting in My Ether Wallet, is this all good for masternode eligibillity ?

It is not enough for becoming eligible for masternode rewards. As stated in the article about nodes (see here) you will need to deposit 20,000 ECOM to the Omnitude Foundation.
289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will PayPal start accepting bitcoin? on: November 06, 2018, 08:23:48 AM
Although Bitcoin and Paypal are sometimes perceived as competitors, I don't think Paypal cares about Bitcoin. Comparing volumes of payments, Bitcoin is still used by an enthusiast fraction of people who decide to pay online. However, there is a possible window of opportunity for a company that makes a bridge between crypto and Paypal.

But there could be a time wherein Paypal will have to concede and will have no other choice but to accept bitcoin it they wanted to live and survive in this cut throat business.

Anyways, if they are wise enough, maybe down 5 years from now, they're going to accept bitcoin or any other crypto for that matter, whether they like it or not as crypto.

That is what I doubt. Choosing a good cryptocurrency payment gateway cost the merchant 0.5% to 1%. Paypal now costs approximately 2.5% on fees from the merchant's perspective. It would be unreasonable for Paypal to compete in such a low margin environment.
290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ALQO] Scalable Payment Network | Swiss Fiat Exchange: Bitfineon | Liberio dApp on: November 06, 2018, 08:17:48 AM
I'm using as a wallet ALQO Core, but I see that the upcoming voting will be performed through the Liberio wallet, which I don't know. Is it possible to manage one owns assets on both wallets?

You can allocate your funds either on ALQO Core wallet or Liberio, not on both of them simultaneously. If you want to take part in the voting, transfering XLQ from one to another is an easy process, see here - https://hub.alqo.app/topic/6-liberio-faq/

292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any centralized coin that accepts it is centralized? on: November 05, 2018, 07:23:09 PM
we all know about the centralized coins that are always pretending they are decentralized. for example XRP is the most centralized coin of all times but every time they advertise it they claim it is not. the same with a lot of others.

so i was wondering if there is a centralized altcoin that accepts it is centralized and is transparent about it?
i am interesting in knowing how successful a centralized but transparent altcoin can be compared to a centralized but lying altcoin.

Petro currency issued by Venezuelan government is quite clear about being run (and dominated) by Venezuelan government. This case is rather a lecture from villain monetary policy than a real use case for cryptocurrency.

296  Economy / Economics / Re: Planning for Brexit: Crypto Exchange Giant Coinbase Opens Office in Ireland on: October 18, 2018, 07:26:46 AM
There are still a lot of ways of executing the exit itself on both sides (EU and Great Britain). It could be very painfull for entrepreneurs and companies. On the other hand, Ireland altogether with for example Germany will benefit from companies changing their domiciles.
A lot of companies will obviously be looking at the possible negative effect this would have on them and practically will be looking out for neutral grounds where business can be extremely favorable, and Ireland has proven itself over the years when it comes to doing business here.

If you want to take a look to many of the world's successful company till date, Ireland is a home to so many of them. Do we want to talk about the tax, the ease of doing business, political stability, a collaborative ecosystem just to name a few, I believe every business in their sane mind will want this. I really do not even need to go into how brexit may have instigated that, but whichever way, it was a brilliant move.

Yes, stable political environment, simple tax system and "collaborative ecosystem" (as you have named it very precisely) are long term determining variables of successful country (see for example Switzerland, Ireland etc.). I wish all paternalistic countries understood this simple logic.
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keep the Ethers in your own bank and earn a percentage on: October 17, 2018, 07:39:36 AM
New project in Ethereum. open source code smart-contract
piggy bank.
Very simple. More hold - more percent.
site: https://piggybank.ga/

It looks to me like a Ponzi scheme at the first sight (and I will apologize if it is not one). How does the PiggyToken increase in value, or in other words - where does the service make profit that can be redistributed to users?
298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Foundation Releases Fourth Wave of Grants , ETH will go back to moon??? on: October 17, 2018, 07:34:18 AM
I don't think it is a reason for increase in Ethereum price but it is certainly a positive fundamental news. Ethereum is actually pretty undervalued due to many reasons (ICO companies paying their expenses etc.).
299  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: the right time to trade, or wait until the market returns to normal? on: October 17, 2018, 07:29:10 AM
for now the market price is very difficult for me to predict, because it is difficult for me to be able to analyze prices, and lately it is difficult for me to get a profit, exactly what I get is defeat, what is your solution to be able to deal with the market price situation which is very difficult for me to predict, can a trader who is proficient in trading can share his experience in trading for me?

As an old advice says, never catch a falling knife. Majority of crypto markets has been a "falling knife" during this summer. However, the situation now seems to be more stable and ready for buying in again. And btw. you don't have to predict price, you only have to define an appropriate time to exit the market while sticking to money management rules.
