2821  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New to trading on: May 26, 2020, 07:05:53 AM
Hello All,

I was hoping to get some advice as I am brand new to crypto and trading. So if I have bought an Altcoin or bitcoin at a higher price than it is now should I sell and buy the dip or does crypto not work like that? I am trying to find the best way to start making small profits.

Any help is appreciated.

To be honest, that's the best way to go about it when your portfolio start dipping because one thing is sure in cryptocurrency market, the market condition happens in cycle and each of them must occur no matter how long it takes so buying and stocking up your portfolio when the market provides the downtrend opportunity is a good move... All you have to do afterwards is wait for bull to take off your profit
If he still has money, he can buy more bitcoin or altcoin because he will get another discount price. But if he doesn't have any money, he has two option. He can sell at a price now or wait for a while. Sometimes, the price can bounce up to the higher price. Every decision that he will take will have a risk, and he needs to know about that so he can be careful to decide.

i believe he havent bought yet but he was only asking some advices  . what he use as a scenario is on a critical side so if that was me i wont sell  . you buy the coin at a high price but why would you sell them at a lower rate  ? if i dont have a money i will find a way just to buy my needs and not to sell my cryptos   but buying at a dip is a must  as well as selling at pumps   .  if he is really a newb then he must not foccus or jump on he best strat but he must learn the beginners step   .  i see many newb fail because they itch to earn quick
2822  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading mistakes on: May 26, 2020, 02:56:35 AM
trading on the futures market makes me tired, i have lost $ 500 on the futures exchange,
i know my mistake is to want to have more profit and it makes me sick
Wanting to make more profit was not totally your mistake but the high risk involved in the form of trading you choose and the same thing apply to margin trading and i will advise you to desist from such trading while you understand verywell the basic form of trading.

based on what he said i can sense that he got greedy and resulted for him to continue trading with higher amounts and he forgot to withdrew as early as possible before so he looses all his gains . it his mistake if i were to ask . its not the fault of trading because trading isnt the one that decide or make a move .  trading can be a high risk or low risk depending your moves or depending on your placed amounts . 500 usd is a slight high amount but its not the end of the world, money is nothing . we can earn it again but lets no try to comit same greed manner
2823  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible to live without banks? on: May 26, 2020, 02:20:16 AM
The problem is loaning money - it can be only trough the banks, loan sharks, family/friends and investors. Banks of course guard themselves from loss trough collaterals and laws.

Life without banks would be possible, but growth of businesses and speed of living would be much lower. By saying speed of living would be slower I mean that you would have to earn money first then buy something like car or apartment - you would have to save money for years before buying and now you can lend money from bank and buy it in month or two.

so your only concern is lending or loaning money  ? but i see many crypto platforms now also offers a service like this    .

living without banks is still possible imo   . the reason why banks still here because many people still cant move on or not yet aware that there is already a crypto existing on the online world   .  they think banks is too useful for them so they say things like they cant live without the help of a bank   .
2824  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Underground Casinos Is it Happening? on: May 26, 2020, 01:46:59 AM
You really can't stop gamblers, gambling is like smoking and drinking they have an itch that they cannot get over with and these gambling casinos knows all about it, and there's a possibility that they are secretly holding gambling sessions, they can bride the police so they can go on with their business, they will not stop making a profit from gamblers, it's a give and takes between them.

It is not just gambling. Basically it is human nature to do something people say you cannot do. Look at teenagers we were all there,,, no smoke, we smoke. No sleeping past 8, we sleep past 8. Lockdown shows nature of people too. Who cares about going out before but now you say you have to stay home,,, everybody wants to go out!

Regulations are the only way:)

well depends on the people .  i never smoke ever since i was a kid , also i can follow rules in related to lockdown/covid  .also what can regulations do to stop addicted people  ?  afaik regulations tackles different issue but not to stop people from doing what they want   .  underground casinos despite of the lockdown era must be stop  , im talking about the offline or the actual casino that we saw outside because this can also make the spread worse  because people will attend to it secretly
2825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Eth. When!? on: May 25, 2020, 04:25:39 PM
Frustrated and impatient I also experienced it, Ethereum 2.0 seems to be having problems, and it's always been postponed, I don't know for sure Ethereum 2.0 will start, and when Ethereum rises to $ 1000 also still don't know, but there is hope, because some altcoins have experienced an increase in the New All Time high

ath means increase on other terms  .  i think eth 2.0 is only just a concept for eth because its still not implemented yet so my advice for you is that dont be too excited so that you wont get tired of waiting   . 1k usd for eth is also too much so dont wait for it as well but instead , you can just decide if your going to buy eth now or not . as simple as that  but for me i can suggest that buying eth will still be a good choice because of its cheap value and eth is pretty useful in so many ways
2826  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Best Crypto Idea to Explore. on: May 25, 2020, 03:52:25 PM
trading and exchange ? sounds like both of them are the same  . you said being an entreprenuer a.k.a business owner?  so trading exchange fits better and not just trading alone  .  trading is for single individuals only that arent consider a business owner yet   . other good business to own or start is gambling site and of course were gonna be using crypto    .   cant think of other good business but i see these two are booming among other cryprto business out there
2827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stop calling it DICE. on: May 25, 2020, 02:59:20 PM
I am amazed why it is called DICE gambling when it has nothing to with dice. RNG picks a number and thats all where is the dice in that. Normally  you have to choose in between 10000 numbers not like dice which has only six sides.
dice game because it works like dice , you throw and the result were random  . the icon was also dice but only the numbers were modified and made up to 1000x  . i even saw other gambling games with wierd names without even related to the game  . its thier site so they can name what they want

Quote
Apart from that there is no visual animation corresponding to dice throw still there is picture of dice and it says ROLL, and I say LOL.
to be honest . this question also pop in my head way back  .   almost all the dice site that i saw where the same but on one site , there is that dice game that has a wheel like animation  .
2828  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots are better than Dice. on: May 25, 2020, 07:34:59 AM
with the long time i play gambling i also realized that other games are better than dice upon playing on them because of the reasons like you said  .

other one is that dice have two sides and makes me angry or regret if i stay on one side and the hit is on the other side  but i said to my self that this wont happen if i play other games or slot for example  but the only thing that i experience is that dice are fast and profitable too because i only play for medium payouts   .
2829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: TRUSTED PROJECT BOUNTY OR JUST SCAM ? on: May 25, 2020, 06:59:04 AM
so many questions like this on the past but there is no perfect answer because the sharer cant also guarantee that what they are sharing is true or sometimes the people that takes advice still fail  . there are managers that are trusted on here but they them selves cant also tell totally if the campaign is real or unreal  but there is no harm on trying  . instead of seeking for unlimited suggestions   why not search for the pre existing good list of campaigns  . just try your luck on them
2830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hello everyone! Do you still have confidence in altcoin? on: May 25, 2020, 06:27:41 AM
of course . i have a confidence on the altcoin that i hodl because this the reeason why i buy them ( i believed on them  )  .

if you dont have a confidence then you find your self to have a zero coin inside your wallet because you already sold them or havent buy backed yet   . confidence is the only key to earn or to earn bigger   . still i use alts for buying sometimes aside from holding them   .
2831  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi isn't that rich. on: May 25, 2020, 02:34:56 AM
im kinda bit confuse on your point  op  . you said satoshi isnt rich but then you said if what if he sold 500 btc worth of cash , thats alot .

this does not count that he also have other btc because he invents btc   .

500 btc worth of fiat is too much and i dont think this will only affect 2k to 3k dollars in the price of btc  but it can affect more than that   .
2832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What does Gambling really mean to you? on: May 23, 2020, 09:06:15 AM
Different people have different definitions when it comes to gambling. Maybe some defines gambling as a way for them to get some money quick. Some may say that it is a way for them to relieve stress etc etc.

For me, gambling is a way for me to be excited whenever I watch games. It maybe sounded different but I only bet on sports games and not on card base games or other games that are common in the casinos like poker, roulette, dice etc. I only gamble so that the excitement will be higher whenever I watch my favorite teams playing. Aside from that, I don't know what gambling is to me. I don't see it as a quick rich scheme or as an entertainment like other people.

you said gambling makes you thrilled but you also said that you dont know the definition of gambling to you.  being thrilled is i think part of being entertained so thats it , gambling for you is way to get entertained .   we are the same because i also play gambling just to kill some time  and also want to make friends via the form of gambling chats . i just depo small and also bet small to make me satisfied while chatting at the same time too .
2833  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beware of fake okex.com exchange on: May 23, 2020, 07:26:05 AM
It is best to save the exchange URL or on the exchange's official media to inquire about the official website and should confirm before making a deposit.

I never mistakenly click on the link of another exchange because before logging into an account, I always review the site 2 to 3 times. Anyway, being careful is still better, and this is the only way to protect you from scam sites.

This reminded me of a scam that I nearly fell victim to. I won a giveaway on Twitter and was sent a virtual item, or skin by the site admin.

Not long after, I got PMed by an impersonator which I was not aware of, that told me to send the item (or my inventory) to his account to receive a bonus on the site I played on.

Being a newbie I was that time, I nevertheless asked on the site chat and was told it was all a scam. Sometimes your hesitance or reluctance pays off.

you mean to say the impersonator is the only scammer but the giveaway is still legit ?  or the impersonator is part of the giveaway act.  better if you check the page that your trying to join or their account if its verified or not  .

verified account usually have a small check icon beside thier name.  legit giveaways are also being targeted by impersonators and they will say  that they will contact you but they arent related to the team  . its obvious if they will ask something in return
2834  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What is important for you when buying things online with bitcoin? on: May 23, 2020, 06:12:54 AM
I prefer not to use cryptocurrency as a method of payment, after all, the rate is not stable enough and you can lose a lot of money.

there are stable coins here too that you can use if you dont want to regret whatever value may come next but converting your crypto to stable coins feels like similllar to converting your cryptos with fiat .

if thats the case then you should buy locally with fiats or there are also fiat based online shopping that is popular right now for every countries  . im also doubting to use my crypto but still ive been using it because i have no cash on my pocket .
2835  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Pizza day 2020 on: May 23, 2020, 05:25:43 AM
Still alive the people bu pizza using bitcoin, how take care and emotion him right now after seeing bitcoin become most valuable currency digital assets, many people always sharing his bad moment when selling bitcoin to buy pizza with cheaper price.

he feels bad obviously but we cant blame him at all because even our selve's we does that too. we also use our btc and other cryptos to buy food and something else because we dont have an idea that their value can grow in the future  and besides cryptos are really meant for spending , not for hodling primarily  . people doesnt share his bad moments or make fun of him but they only do it to remember what the guy did or in short to give honour to him because the guy just promotes btc that it can be really used for buying stuffs
2836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is it , it's the end of cryptos on: May 22, 2020, 05:58:40 PM
and that happens in March, you need to look at the current market price situation, especially with ETH & BTC slowly starting to improve and not as bad as in March. although at this time the market has not fully recovered but I am sure this will happen as soon as possible.

so what if its not fully recovered but this was still better than last march  .  we can also say that they are now fully recovered if we based them on last march price  .  the op didnt knew what he is talking about because he ended up saying price will recover anymore which is impossible for the two coins that he use as subject when we all know how superior btc and eth was but what he was saying is possible on other coins   .  he also said end of cryptos while he was only talking on two coins   .
2837  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain technology in universities on: May 22, 2020, 05:27:22 PM
Blockchain is an online wallet through which various payments and trades can be made. Blockchain technology is becoming more and more popular. To make it more understandable,  various information about blockchain technology has been included in the syllabus of various universities. In addition, this wallet can be used to pay university fees, so the practical knowledge about blockchain was also given.

yeah blockchain has two meaning . one is wallet and one is technology   . your right anyway  . two use of blockchain will be helpful in universities but there are other wallets too that are good not just blockchain and you cant force students to use blockhain wallet  all the time   .

blockchain tech is not bundled with the blockchain wallet but both only have same name   .  blockchain technology is still the most important because this is where it tackles everything in cryptography    .
2838  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Effect of the Bitcoin Halving on Online Casinos on: May 22, 2020, 03:30:00 PM

But not like now.yeah it happens many time before but these days?it has really huge amount that cannot be afford by small withdrawals .

I guess with this big withdrawal fee, people will think of moving to altcoins, and it's just timely to see the gambling sites have already added a lot of altcoins as an option for deposit and withdrawal.. I haven't transact using ETH for now, I'm sure most gambling sites have ETH since it's the most liquid altcoins in the market, but anyone here transacted lately, please tell us how much is the fee per transaction, like the average.

Really high right now, even if you play right away, you can't because it takes several minutes to an hour before it gets confirmed and landed in your wallet the best option right now is to use Doge and XRP if they have it, Ethereum is also ok, as long as it's cheap fast and we can easily liquidate, that would be fine.

Doge is cheap too, but I'd choose XRP since its listed in any exchange and you can trade it right away, it's fast as well, in less than a minute you'll be able to receive your deposit, I think there are a lot of gamble sites right now that are accepting XRP. At this time that BTC's transaction fee is too high, gamblers will adjust and will look for a coin available that only charge a very minimal transaction fee.

after halving i notice that btc fee is still the same on the gambling site that im playing with though i rarely use a btc for depo , only for withdrawal if ever i have existing btc   .

doge coin is also popular like xrp so im sure that many exchanges support it as well as gambling site but doge is too cheap and i cant calculate its value easily when playing a gambling unlike to xrp that its easy to remember its value and you can easily the determine if how much your betting with   .
2839  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you pick slots? on: May 22, 2020, 01:41:58 PM
there are lots of casinos too but this does not mean that we must play them all  . just try and see what works better for you and stick with it   .

for me i play on a site where there is only a 1 slot game  so i only play this one  but i already saw a site where there are many kinds of slots but most of them arent available on my country  . so country restriction is also the thing that you will be lookin for   .  designs doesnt mean alot to me also
2840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Enough of bounty scam, you can help to stop it too. on: May 22, 2020, 12:44:07 PM
We can help to stop scam bounty projects just by ignoring it and not joining to their bounty campaign. And i believe that a fraud and scam bounties has a lazy manager that is not updating the spreadsheets, and also the bounty telegram is so quiet and not updated.
Many bounty managers still update spreadsheets quickly, and regularly answer people at telegram. But eventually that project became a scam, obviously the bounty manager cannot know the outcome of that project because they are just like us. They are also the people hired to manage the campaign

they are like us but better than us because managers are being paid already to manage the campaign but at the end we are the only loosers on here if ever the campaign became scam   .  we cant say enough because there will still be people that will constantly join bounties no matter how many times we warn them but for sure these people already know alot of tips on what to do to avoid scams  .  stoping on your own can still contribute so that scams are going to be lessen because you arent the one that will stop anyway but some too
