2121  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: we need more volatility and faster bear bull bigger losses or bigger profits on: October 03, 2020, 10:43:02 AM
no bro dont me . im not here on crypto to get rich but i just love the way crypto work and it helps me most of the time mostly for online transactions . there could be crypto usere that are like me that being rich is not priority . im not saying im already rich but others can be , i dont know .  the thread is best to pm to the whales but you are lucky if there are whales that are a part of this forum and they can see this post .  im not against with this , but ill accept if whatever the fate lies on crypto . non volatile or volatile , crypro can still be useable for online transactions .
2122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Elon Musk fake giveaway. on: October 03, 2020, 10:13:53 AM
he loves doge ? oh i didnt knew that but if he said that he switch to btc , this giveaway wont still be believable because its simillar to those scam giveaway that asks for crypto .

if this is a real giveaway they should not ask for return but except for the raffle because tesla car is really expensive but people should verify or investigate first if this is true .

why theres still a scam and hacking on twitter , arent they fix the platform  yet ?
2123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will $XRP be safe for long term? on: October 03, 2020, 09:33:27 AM
As a centralize coin, is it really safe for people when xrp team could do anything at anytime if they want? As a top ranked coin, i agreed that its safe for long but will it really profitable? As we can see, team trying to develop it, doing partnership with largest companies but xrp consistently losing its values even 90% lower than ath. So trading with it maybe okey but i can't even think about hodl it for long term
A few years ago, it was profitable as everyone went through the all-time high prices.

It is noticeable that even with the partnerships, the price isn't increasing a lot. Long term is also up to the investors' discretion if they think that it's fine to hold it for the long term.

It's them that's counting on it.

I think XRP is a pathetic coin, because it is profitable only in 2018, when the price reaches an all time high. But after that the price continued
to decline and there was no increase yet, even a lot of support for XRP from many banks, does not make the XRP pump price. So investing in
XRP for the long term is not a safe thing to do.

pathetic just because it failed to provide continous profit ? but look at other coin , the same thing happened . they only pump on 2017 but no pump followed after that . you also call them pathetic ? what if some coins offer thier service or usefullness but not profit . for the people that only looks for the profit , they should go on the pump and dump and newer hype coins instead because they can just easily replace that coins once its not profitable anymore but for the solid supporters of crypto , they can stay on certain coins to show thier support .
2124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash what are your thoughts? on: October 02, 2020, 01:11:17 PM
According to the figures BCH is one of top ranked coin for a long time so on this basis I don't have much reasons to call it shitcoin but I have seen so far that mostly people have negative point of view about bch which is not a good sign for bch that's why I don't expect much with it.
so in short you got turned off on bch ? just because of what others are saying ?

no thats not right way of thinking but you should go and push your support for the coin if you think that it has a potential based on what you see .

bch isnt alone but there are coins that are on top but people still talk negative with them , they can do this all the time on many coins . this makes them uncredible for thier feedbacks
2125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Nigerians buy bitcoin on loss? on: October 02, 2020, 12:31:36 PM
all of us buy bitcoins at a loss because of the fees of the exchange or on the wallet where we buy .

thats a  first loss but theres also a second loss that we can experience and that is when the price of bitcoin goes down .reading earlier replies , i see that nigerian currency are complicated , this makes them look like they are buying at a loss but as what some user said , they can still sell at a high price on exchanges . why worry too much to them ? we should worry much on our own local currency
2126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trump gets Covid and we Crash? on: October 02, 2020, 11:26:05 AM
What does Bitcoin price had to do with Trump getting the coronavirus? Was it really influenced on Trump or his first lady? Unless if Trump says something stupid about Bitcoin that creates FUD, the price would really go down the wire. For now, I think BTC’s recent dip was due to the stocks crashing down.

There are many factors that BTC price would pump or dump, like what happened to BitMex lately. But for coronavirus? I don’t think so. When this COVID-19 pandemic started as economic falls, Bitcoin was on the other way around going up. That’s just my own opinion.

lol yeah . thats crazy on how he relate things but that was true that trump has involved on btc fuds before but now if trump gets a covid , he will take a rest and fuds can also slow down .  btc supposed to go up and not going down .

bitmex can also be the reason here  . stocks were crashing but btc should go up because they say that stocks investors are going for btc .
2127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Chainlink is a shitcoin and will dump to zero on: October 02, 2020, 10:31:48 AM
I personally did not see linkchain as a shitcoin in fact currently it is one of the best decentralized finance coins. I have see some coins that make great gains in 2017 and early 2018 but currently there are dead coins because of the technology behind but in the current cryptocurrencies setting most of these defi coins are going to succeed.

Ok,,, then qualify your arguments. Why is it "one of the best"? Are you able to provide facts and evidence to support this? Technology? You do realize almost all of the Defi coins here are just tokens right? They are all using Ethereum technology so no difference between most of them.

They are not even all decentralized!

he compares the coin based on thier hype and existence .

he said the coins from 2 and 3 years ago are now dead but he forgot that the coin he support are also new and we dont know if this link will still be relevant after a year or two . not all older coins are dead but most of them are still there up until now but they could be silent because theres no big news around them or they lack of publication  .

link has been said a good coin by most users so maybe thats also his basis
2128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government figures or politicians supporting Bitcoin? on: October 02, 2020, 09:38:41 AM
if we disregard thier position as politicians they are just a normal person and they can invest or like btc personally or outside of thier profession and there so many politicians around the world not just one so there are atleast few of them that supports btc personally or with thier profession included . to the blockchain , i dont really think so because not unlike to btc that is only a currency , a blockchain is a system and what if itl be applied on the politics or voting  . they can be screwed if they are dishonest of achieving thier position .
2129  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Florida man charged with scamming investors out of $6.8M in crypto trading schem on: October 02, 2020, 08:50:48 AM
Per the complaint, Gity told investors he would use their funding to trade digital assets, but only transferred $970,000 of the $6.8 million he received into trading accounts. Gity allegedly transferred over $1.8 million of the funds to his son and for personal expenses and gambling.
atleast he still tried to trade with a close to a million amount but other scammers are not going to able to do this .  other interesting fact to this guy is that some parts of the funds he sended it to his son , never heard of other gamblers do this and other scammers only care about them selves . they dont want thier family know what they are doing . the guy on this story can be a good guy but he got only tempted with the huge amount . his personal hobby of gambling also influence him to become a bad guy
2130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Uniswap $2 billion in total value locked on: October 01, 2020, 12:53:09 PM
i thought they locked some funds and slowly turned into scam lol but i guess i was wrong because ive read positive coments above . locking of funds do also happen on the past but lock in a way that holders cant sell thier coin . congrats to the exchange btw for achieving this .

i know that this is just a beggining for thier career because its verry early to achieve such high amount . this exchange can give more impressive news in the future .
2131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling License on: October 01, 2020, 09:44:45 AM
i dont call my self a pro but i can be a casual gambler . i dont check the license but i just play on the casino that i think not a scam . all of them are registered , they claim that within thier site . having these two is already enough and the place where it was registered is not a big deal to me but idk to some  . if they are pro and big bettors , they probably care with it because they dont want to waste every bet they make . mostly the sites that i use are under curacao . curacao accept what they think is legit but they dont know if what happens next , the gambling site can do shady acts but curacao can always reverse the contract if found out so that their reputation will not be affected .
2132  Economy / Economics / Re: Mathematics and economy on: October 01, 2020, 07:03:13 AM
I don't think that Math is the basis of investors to invest. And going to join math Olympic is supported and bugeted by the government because it was an international event that represent every country. Also investors is more after the knowledge about modern technology. Samsung maybe moving to a countries with lower labor fee to minimize their expenses in the production of their products.
they invest on those knowledge of this people because they know that those wizards are going to achieve more in thier life with the skills and talent they have . math is the hardest subject in my opinion and computer coding can be related to math . with that thinking they have , they can also fit in other more easier fields but i dont think those geniuse people will accept minimum fee or salary if negotiate for working on the said companies  . they are extra ordinary so the pay should be extra ordinary as well
2133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum 2.0 delays thread on: October 01, 2020, 06:17:42 AM
the author of this post can be a good preditionist ( something that is good at predictions or predicting ) . he was right that eth 2.0 got delayed again .but are  are there leaked infos  before , before he post this thread at the month of febuary ?

i knew it , that the fate of eth 2.0 is getting simillar to the etf but i think that etf thing is more worster because people have assumed and posted so many threads or updates and in the end there is still no clear answer to them .
2134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Openbazaar needs your support on: October 01, 2020, 05:43:02 AM
The article is outdated, they were able to secure funds for until this year so those supporting services to OB and their app won't shutdown in Oct 1. The end game doesn't change though, unless they can fix what they lacked-- enough users/working business model.  Relying on donations to run without enough userbase won't work either as it is unsustainable.

BREAKING NEWS!

An anonymous donor has agreed to cover the costs to run OpenBazaar infrastructure through at least the end of the year.
everyone in the cryptosphere cares so much about OpenBazaar that this tweet received an staggering 200 likes! *sarcasm*

next year there'll be another cry for help & donations 🙄 they should just let it die, it's very clear that after what, 4 years now, no one uses this thing and no one (except that one person who donated) cares about a decentralized marketplace, at least for now. Majority of people nowadays, not just from the general public but also cryptocurrency users, would rather put their trust on centralized services than in things like Bitify or OpenBazaar, and i'm certainly one of those when it comes to spending BTC to buy products.

I think this is the wrong attitude. Supporting platforms like this means quite a bit to the success of Bitcoin. Designing something like this is also extremely difficult, so it will take them a lot of time.

nothing wrong with that . thats just his opinion and you also have yours so you should respect each other . i love everything that is decentralize and i obviously love the concept of this openbazar but il also be mad at them if they will only rely on donation to run thier business  . maybe there is something that they lack of and why people are not going back to use them or no new people that gets attracted to them  . cant you see there are sites that are also dying and have died down but we never see those sites ask for help  . they came up with this idea so they should have the ability to stand on thier own
2135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cho Giáng sinh on: September 30, 2020, 07:27:28 PM
Good gift but I don't think the person who receives it will keep it for long. Everyone needs money, bitcoin is just a form of currency and people can sell them to spend on their activities. Lips sealed
At least this would encourage people to use bitcoins as they will be receiving bitcoins so whenever they would have to sell the coins for money they will be searching on ways to sell bitcoins for cash or bank balance. I guess this is a nice idea and also have been talked about the same here many times in the past too. But only problem would be that if they won't be having any clue about what bitcoin is, so maybe we would have to teach them about bitcoin too before giving them Bitcoins in any form of gift.
this is the problem . what if they dont know btc ? they cant recieve the coin if they dont have a btc wallet and what we  are planning is gifting and gifts must be a secret , telling them to install a btc wallet can spoil the plan . i know , we can hand them physical btc gifts instead  .  dont teach them but let them search for the answer if how can they open the wallet with btc inside because that is more exciting .

@noorammak , better if they spend it than keep it because btc is a currency  but if this was a gift , people will appreciate it and will keep it for a while .
2136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do people keep playing unlicensed, illegal slot machines? on: September 30, 2020, 06:27:06 PM
I don't remember when I played slot machine last time, maybe +15 years ago! And it was probably in some low level bar in the hood! Why people played there? Well it is close, you drink few beers and you try your luck with some machine to kill some time. People get use to it, and they don't wish to go further and try new things. Back then that was normal, but now I don't know why would someone get out from the house to have a nice gambling time! Especially for people that knows about crypto, provably fair, easy access, huge choice of games, and comfort of your chair, big screen...

its in a bar so this must be legal because bars do also need permit to operate and this is how gambling places look back time . till time passes by and they are being organized on one place which is dedicated only for gambling called casinos .

being illegal does not also mean outside but there are also illegal gambling sites online though people now dont have the time to go and play outside because of we are more convinient now and everything can now be access online
2137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Family on: September 30, 2020, 04:36:24 PM
Is this the family that sells everything and live on a cave ? The news was old so I forget thier faces but I think they aren't known as a bitcoin family . I also check the article and never see a write up that they have lived on the cave . The family on the news that ive read could be different but both families are incredible because they trusted bitcoin for thier future . I have searched the first family that I mention  before but I havent see any updates from them , I hope they are still okay and still hodling
2138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Cryptospace is getting Worst on: September 30, 2020, 10:26:34 AM
thats bizzare  . not just the description but everything sorrounds the coin is a mystery or mysterious  and that triggered the investors to get curious and gets more interested  . if this is a scam , they wont put a scam words but a project that wants to scam will try thier best to make their project look authentic  .

rope project on here still dont look serious even if we say that they are not really a scam  . rope coin was there before but i didnt knew its story  , thanks by the way for putting this out .
2139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What was your Worst losing streak at bitcoin dice with 1.5 payout? on: September 30, 2020, 09:32:20 AM

19 reds at x1.5 is crazy! My maximum red streak at x1.5 is 13, maybe 14, I am not totally sure, and it was a long time ago, you don't see so long losing streak so often at x1.5 --snip-

It is not crazy at all. I have seen people having even crazier red streak (and even better green streak) when gambling with 1.5x payout. It is just that rng isn't favoring you. People tend to think the more reds they start getting, the better the chance of not hitting a red on the next bet. This isn't true. You might even see a 100x red in a row (but extremely likely to happen) since all bets are an independent event. The next bet no way depends on your previous bet and has the same chance of winning or losing.
Due this sort of believes, people tend to keep on increasing bet size amount after a loss thinking that they next bet has higher chance of winning.
and thats how martingale method was born . instead of doing manual increase they formulate a method to automate the process with course help of a bot or an automatic betting feature of a gambling site

. martingale is still in demand because there are still people that believes on this misconception . its sad to hit a lot of red streaks but if the green streak occur , this also gives us a special feeling but the rate for it to occur is not high as reds because you know its a business .
2140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If all BTC Gets Bought Up? on: September 30, 2020, 07:57:00 AM
the question is identical to the question of if all btc have been mined up ? . the question i brought up has a good answer before so same goes to your question , theres also a positive effect that will happen so dont worry  .

so what if you end up with 50k sats above ? but if they buy all the btc , that 50k sats can shoot up to a hundred dollar in fiat form or more than that but who says that you can only get 50k sats ? now that there are still btc left , why not buy more .
