2901  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [BT3] 5,000 Testnet Bitcoin bounty for Bitcoin Testnet Pool on: May 25, 2013, 06:38:31 PM
Attempting to financially profit from testnet coins is just lame. Stooping to new lows of desperation, pure and simple.

If you don't need them or don't plan on using them anytime soon, do the right thing for Bitcoin and donate them to the faucet.
2902  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [BT3] 5,000 Testnet Bitcoin bounty for Bitcoin Testnet Pool on: May 25, 2013, 03:41:48 PM
If testnet coins begin having momentary value, they then are then useless for testing purposes.
2903  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scamcoin Special Episode - Let's Talk Bitcoin! show on: May 24, 2013, 09:10:58 AM
Because at this moment, bitcoin is broken and needs to be replaced, but nobody will admit that.
Please continue...

Sounds like a watertight contract. I'm in!  Cheesy
2905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Critical Update] Feathercoin 0.6.4 - Hard Fork at block 33,000 on: May 21, 2013, 05:55:37 PM
Look at the technical. Look at the community (Feathercoin.com forums just passed 800 registered users and it's been up a month).
Mmmmm, doing a little research disturbingly reveals a very large percentage of those 800 members are actually inactive accounts. (Registered days ago, but no posts.)

I strongly recommend people take some of these facts and figures with a large pinch of salt.
2906  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: With WDC now on exchanges. What do you see the future bringing? on: May 21, 2013, 06:50:37 AM
@DeadEyeCool

So come on then; how much money have you lost? Also, no telling us porkies. The truth please.
2907  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: With WDC now on exchanges. What do you see the future bringing? on: May 21, 2013, 06:41:19 AM
Too even list at that price is nefarious. You're basically hoping on a long shot that someone will mess up, and buy at that price, not realizing what they are doing. Then its too late, and they can't take back the mistake they just made.

This person will end up never touching cryptos again.

So great job taking advantage of someone -_-
They will still be hovering around, don't worry about that. They need to "win back their losses."
2908  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: With WDC now on exchanges. What do you see the future bringing? on: May 21, 2013, 06:13:25 AM
People didn't learn anything from the feathercoin / cn pump and dump...

I mean I mined around 15.000 WDC and bought a few thousand pretty cheap and dumped 10.000 WDC for 15.7 BTC, thats over 1600$ for 1 day of mining and someone had to pay this... And this guy will probably never see his money again.

The new altcoins obviously work like a ponzi-scheme... it works, as long new people hear about the now coin and believe that it's a good investment... Most of the "loser" just don't talk about it and hope to "sit it out" but the altcoin never reaches the previous peak again...

Great job exploiting someone out of their money dude, you must be proud (considering you keep bragging about it)
Disagree. He merely sold something he thought would go down in value, with someone that thought it would go up in value. A fair trade. Someone has to be wrong.
2909  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: With WDC now on exchanges. What do you see the future bringing? on: May 21, 2013, 05:51:43 AM
I just can't believe suckers are buying these alt-coins during the dumps. Unbelievable.
2910  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: With WDC now on exchanges. What do you see the future bringing? on: May 21, 2013, 04:25:57 AM
The future will bring more pump & dumps.
2911  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you store most of your coins for long term storage? on: May 20, 2013, 10:51:32 AM
Private keys encrypted with GPG in a ASCII text file. File stored in multiple locations. GPG password in brain with dead man's switch.
2912  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Critical Update] Feathercoin 0.6.4 - Hard Fork at block 33,000 on: May 20, 2013, 04:26:40 AM

Remember, you'll need to find some sucker to buy them off you as well. Good luck with that.
There is no shortage of FTC trades on BTC-e.

I was referring to profitable trades.
2913  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Critical Update] Feathercoin 0.6.4 - Hard Fork at block 33,000 on: May 20, 2013, 04:02:59 AM
FTC can be profitable again, diff just needs to drop, A LOT.
Remember, you'll need to find some sucker to buy them off you as well. Good luck with that.
2914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Aprox. 48 Hrs till exchange reopen on: May 18, 2013, 07:24:31 AM
My guess is the exchange has been hacked into and all the coins stolen.
2915  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: get the code right or ask for help on: May 16, 2013, 07:54:16 AM
Would help if you posted some machine specs of your machine.

What are you mining; scrypt or sha256 based?
2916  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Critical Update] Feathercoin 0.6.4 - Hard Fork at block 33,000 on: May 16, 2013, 03:14:52 AM
Finnaly SOME hope for this otherwise dying coin.

This fork just cures the symptoms of the dying coin, doesn't address the actual disease.
2917  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to throw my 2 khash/s at? on: May 15, 2013, 08:19:21 PM
I should just leave it switched off.
2918  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Modify vanitygen/oclvanitygen for Litecoin on: May 15, 2013, 06:24:08 PM
Is there a way to modify vanitygen to generate Litecoin? Does anyone here have the technical expertise to explain how to modify the vanitygen and oclvanitygen code to adapt to Litecoin? Also, if such could be explained, can anyone explain how to make it accept any identifier so any altcoin could be generated?
I thought Litecoin was programmed in anyway. Have you checked the docs?
2919  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: R.I.P. Alt Coin Bubble on: May 15, 2013, 05:58:23 PM
Looks like it is all over.  New coins are being released every hour.  Miners, even zero hour adopters, are getting nothing in exchange for them.

I declare the Alt Coin Bubble over.

Time to switch back to Litecoin or Bitcoin take your pick

Then you lose most of the user base who does not have an ungodly farm.
Smart move if you want to kill cryptos

Maybe this userbase should concentrate on building Bitcoin services instead of mining. The opportunities and profits can and will be unthinkable for those that succeed. But the innovators and hardworkers will be the ones that grasp these opportunities by the horns.

Of course if that all sounds like too much hardwork and effort, concentrate your efforts into CrapCoin2020.
2920  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] FC3 Release on: May 15, 2013, 02:31:22 PM
Too late mate. FC4 is already been premining for 5 days.
