The current status of AM is debatable. But I think we can all agree you bought at the worst possible time. 4btc/piece would require like 40% network hashrate which will probably never happen.
Assuming zero profits from sales. It reached 4+ on the back of sales. Granted, that window is only open by a crack compared to last summer, but still counts for something. 4+ is a dream, perhaps, but 10% network + some sales shouldn't be unmanageable. Another point would be newer investors, happy with less than 33% APR - that could raise the price as well.

According to havelock, they are worth ฿0.2998
Given dividends were rubbish this week, I don't see them going much lower. Unless we get some bad news out of AM, which is always possible.
I don't think we can look to the Havelock pricing at this point. They haven't paid this weeks dividend yet. I'd be surprised to see the share price hold at this level once Havelock have published the dividend for 24 hours. People know what divs are for this week surely? They don't have to wait for them to appear at havelock to know what is coming. Also, the vast majority of shares are not held at havelock, but are direct. I think most share holders have already known the dividend this week . Plus the dump from .32 to .27 happened @ announcement, and recovered over the day to almost .30 again. Faster than I expected. Test again next week ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) I think this was the big test, and the price hasn't really budged. Sure, divs can go lower, but they are so low now, it won't make much difference to share price. Upcoming tests of share price will be more news-based than divs-based ... finally ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) True. divs are likely to half or less before gen3 rolls out, depending on competitor deployment. That hurts, but when you're expecting near zero anyway, meh. Even delays in deployment of G3 shouldn't be much of a shake. Anyone hodling that long isn't going to panic dump over a few more weeks. We can just hope for some forced liquidation sales ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Even then, the fur is going to fly over who gets to snap them up, rather than better bargains.

Nobody cares about mining or div now. Next gen will be break it or make it for AM. Price begin to rise , i think we will never see shares this low.
With no prospects of new chips for a few months. Seems more like the beginning of a pump and dump to me. At this rate you might have to be the one to sell lower then, as nobody else seems interested. New recent high of BTC0.32 That's the purpose of a pump and dump. Is it inconceivable that there would be a kind of investor that has patience for more than 3 months and recognizes the possible (and fairly likely) massive upside of AM? It is guaranteed. Anyone still hodling or buying shares fits this description...

All that have plan to invest when the price will hit bottom got screwed by long term investors. Price from now on will go up since there are a few days months until AM will start mining 3th gen chips. Hooray for cheap shares.
ftfy I was 50/50 at the time, but now pretty happy that I picked up a few more at auction in the mid .2's Mid .2's is excellent. I don't think many people have got shares that low since after IPO. I'm still on the fence though. A couple of weeks of terrible dividends and / or delays with Gen3 will see us below 0.2 for sure. I don't know about for sure, but it is possible. Dry powder awaits ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

what's with this sneaky upturn in price at havelock? has the bottom been reached already?
Doc did a weird thing and went up to 9% for a bit but doubt that's why Not sure if it's the reason for last week's uptick, but I'm told that AM100 was recommended by some stock guy, Michael Robinson. He must have a decent following, as I was getting inquiries daily about AM100 last week. Steady buying pressure on AM1 all last week. Could be an anomaly, or bottom forced by new investors. 10-20% APR may look fantastic to new bitcoiners, even with news of a few month slowdown if there is an expected rise following. Tick Tock. We'll see ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

IMO, there is big difference that AM achieved 10% of network when the total network hash is rate is 10P and 1000P . when the total network is 10P , even AM achieved 25% of network, it still means unstable and high risk, so the Yield rate is so high. But the total network hashrate is 1000P , even AM achieved 5% of network, it means far more stable than before which means lower risk, so then people maybe will accept lower yield rate , such as 15% ,10%. right ? I am not sure...
Yes, could be ... but what can we call "stable" in Bitcoinland ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Also higher hashrate = higher expenses = lower margin BTC value tends to increase haphazardly with hash rate. I'm not sure this would become a major issue.

Any theory for why people are buying above auction prices now? It used to to be other way round.
The first thing to mind is that these buyers are unacquainted with the forums, or at least don't ever search for ASICMINER I just can't see buying at that price unless you were a hodler, so they are unlikely for quick flip, which means direct shares shouldn't be an issue. idk. EDIT: I notice the total shares on Havelock is creeping up too. Hmmm.

And there I was thinking share prices were going to drop considerably with the last two dividends but still holding strong ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I think the uptrend surprised a lot of people. That buying pressure shows that a lot of us had the same idea ie: buy it while it's on sale. I expected to see 0.20 before we were through, maybe we still will. I can always use more ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) The uptrend has been for 1 week, and tiny. When direct shares were offered last week at 0.27 nobody took. Let's see what happens if the divs really dive. I can't see how AM can keep anywhere near the current divs for 3 months if they aren't bringing anything new to the table. If divs halve, its got to drive the price down further. If it doesn't, yep I'll agree, the bottom has been reached. Well I don't call over 20% tiny, though BTC0.06 compared to BTC4.x is decidedly tiny. Still, there were some strong buys in the last week or so, many above current auction prices. If that behavior continues, price will continue up. If it falters... Let's wait and see ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
