If I got in it would be nice if you could lower the requirements for posting in the mining section, I can easily meet the post count but I don't post that often in the mining section and I'd rather avoid spamming a section just to get some coins if I could help it.
2922  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Fire hazard and bitcoin minig at home on: November 11, 2014, 01:43:01 PM
I think part of the problem is people put tons of very hot equipment together on top of flammable equipment and when you don't have any open air all that heat has nowhere to go so naturally you're going to end up starting a fire.

2926  Other / Meta / Growing number of necro posters are taking advantage of old threads on: November 11, 2014, 11:48:58 AM
I don't know if anyone's noticed this, but there's a growing number of newbies who seem to be specifically targeting threads that are a year or two old and stealth necroing them and posting either completely incoherent or only slightly relevant post. How should we treat this? Is it spam? I'm inclined to believe so because of the way they respond but the problem is we'd have to dig through their post history because I think they've gotten better at writing English and are disguising their spam better.

These threads are often so old that they've become inactive and they seem to be deliberately trying to start them up again to bump up their post count and get people to respond, then you also have other newbies who are doing the same to bump up their post count as well so it seems like a legitimate conversation, the reason I know this is because I often see posts I've written back in 2012 on these threads and people are responding without looking at the dates.
2927  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Baker forced to make gay wedding cakes and undergo sensitivity training on: November 11, 2014, 10:59:52 AM
He's a homophobic twat clearly but I think forcing somebody to go through 'sensitivity' training is a step too far, this article alone showing them being indignant about what they've done alone will probably shut down their business by itself, I certainly wouldn't go there and it'd be the same if they had that attitude towards other ethnic groups.

Let them be homophobic racists all by themselves, see how far their 'religious' beliefs take them.
2928  Economy / Economics / Re: Metals are getting absolutely monkey hammered on: November 11, 2014, 10:47:53 AM
Profit taking before the big collapse, people are probably going to start re-buying like crazy when the fed chairman blinks and doesn't do as much money printing Tongue There was also a segment by Peter Schiff where he actually reckoned guys like Goldman Sachs were trying to short Gold to get the price to drop.

Guys. If you like to read financial news, you will know the reason is that the USA is quitting QE and dollar strengthen.

They haven't stopped it, they've just lessened it and carried it on over a longer period of time just like the last time they 'stopped' it the American economy is only alive because of money printing, I am so going to get rich of this crash, I won't miss the opportunity like in 2008.

2930  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Patrick Murck of The Bitcoin Foundation - attacked by a lunatic. on: November 11, 2014, 10:27:39 AM
That's exactly what people like TKeenan want to do really, believe it or not I've actually seen people usurp entire communities with these kind of tactics, because they pin the blame on the moderators, believe it or not it was actually over a paedophilia accusation as well, the only reason they succeeded was because it was moderator that was getting accused and not just some random member that could get easily banned. I will be watching for this kind of shit, very, very closely, don't give credence to any of these guys who think they can get anything done by spreading bullshit about people. If any of it's true, then it should be reported to the police for investigation, however if it's not, then shut the fuck up on either end and stop trying to destroy a community over it.
2931  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Truth backed by violence VS Lies backed by violence, who wins? on: November 11, 2014, 10:14:14 AM
I'm against all forms of violence but I'm not so pacifist that I won't defend myself if somebody tries to oppress me using violence themselves and yes as others have said, truth always wins in the end even if lies may win the assholes using them gain a short term victory. I do believe that even though he didn't win the presidency people like Ron Paul has had quite an affect on people in America and elsewhere because of the way he told the truth about how the whole banking system works. Now we're pretty much building an entirely new economy that is separate from the state and the church, running entirely on mathematics so hopefully history won't end up repeating itself at least as far as any of us cryptocurrency users are concerned.
2932  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Atheist must swear to God -- or leave US Air Force on: November 11, 2014, 10:06:09 AM
America seems to pull this kind of shit a lot I've noticed, after doing some digging a lot of them make a big deal about swearing allegiance to the flag, sounds pretty brainwashed to me no matter how you try to paint it because they try to push this stuff on  school children as well.

LOL! When did you challenge my opinion? All you did is make assertions, that's not challenging them.

People who suggest we allow Bruno to remain in the community can expect a community of high disorder and chaos and lawlessness.  While so many of the bitcoin community love the stupid notion of anarchy - it is merely because they don't really get what that is.

Please stop equating Anarchism to chaos like people who don't understand what Anarchism is do and I might take you seriously, the fact there are people out there who believe that people can't live their lives in peace without being beaten and jailed by police officers pisses me off, the least you can do before lecturing somebody about Anarchism is read up on it.

2936  Economy / Economics / Re: Canada joins the dollar dumping team, signs a deal with China to bypass it on: November 10, 2014, 08:43:45 PM
Running around in a panic? I've calculated this, all that's left for me now is to accumulate as many Bitcoins, Gold and Silver and in my case Gemstones as I can and I'll be pretty damn secure, it's the poor sods who actually listen to people like you who are in denial about the state of the economy that I'm worried about.

I could go through all the detail of the money supply and how currency is created but I seriously doubt you're going to pay any attention to that.
2937  Economy / Economics / Re: Canada joins the dollar dumping team, signs a deal with China to bypass it on: November 10, 2014, 08:05:14 PM
at this pace dollar reserves will become useless real soon and will be dumped.
thats when America gets to import its inflation back.
Can you explain why the dollar will become useless?
because once no one holds it in their reserves because they can just trade directly using their own national currencies people will dump it on the open markets creating massive inflation in America.
Ok, so how much is this currency swap between Canada and China worth total, and as a percentage of dollars held as reserves in Canada?

It's not the currency swap that's the problem for America, it's the fact that they're planning to dump the dollar, China has been planning it for awhile now and Russia is openly talking about it, who else is left to hold it? You also have various countries trying to get their gold back, the "Fuck yeah America!" types just simply don't understand how money is created and works or for that matter how little America actually produces and exports.
2938  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Support OpenBazaar!!! on: November 10, 2014, 03:41:20 PM
Thanks! That seems to be the issue, I'll see if I can get that fixed.
2939  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Support OpenBazaar!!! on: November 10, 2014, 03:34:07 PM
I downloaded that and installed it fine but is anyone else having problems with finding merchants? I only have 1 up on mine and can't search for any.
