I think that some of our problems in schools are due to school personnel not being allowed to use corporal punishment anymore.

These kids know that it’s against the law for anyone to physically touch them. Which probably leads these kids to think that they can get away with more and more, without consequences.

It’s getting to the point where we won’t be able to physically discipline our own kids.

Good point. I remember when I was a kid teachers had the right to for example remove you from the classroom and take you to the detention by force. Later on they were not allowed to touch a kid if he's resisting, which just caused more problems.

I remember being kicked out of the room because I talked with my mates interrupting the teacher. Nowadays its probably hell being a teacher, kids have laptops and are playing games all the time lol.

Yes how dare those fiends find more interesting things on the internet than listening to a boring teacher lecture them without knowing what the fuck their talking about and that their claims can be refuted with a five second google search!

Talking about paranoid: I have a feeling bitcointalk is being invaded by more and more people loving big spying government and very centralized anti bitcoin anything. Instead of being skeptical, in a healthy not too paranoid way about their own government, those people are skeptical about anyone and everyone else... Hum.

It is noiticable, there were a bunch of loyalist morons before who would I would regularly pick fights with but lately there's been a bunch of newbie accounts being made and with the timing of it all I don't think it's coincidence in the slightest. If you also look at news articles I think they're being targeted as well because there was an article someone posted up in the press section which had only been posted up within a few hours and there was already anti-bitcoin, anti-decentralisation comments on it which was ridiculous only someone who had that shit on an RSS feed or was subscribed and was deliberately posting around to drive people away from cryptocurrencies.

I'd expect it on Bitcointalk because this place is well known but on a barely read article that was only just posted up? Bullshit, the way to properly find out maybe would be to get some security experts to look at their I.P addresses maybe or something but I'm not that interested that I'd end up violating some random persons privacy just because I disagree with them, it would be hilarious though if it turned out they had their locations at military bases or something lol.

While there are no real winners, I feel for the 17 year old whose life is ruined because this scumbag filmed her having sex and it's on the internet now. She certainly made her point.

Making her point and landing in jail?
I feel sorry for her.

This is a classic example though of why you don't go attacking people in anger, yes there are some total cunts out there in the world, but quite often they aren't worth killing, or attacking for that matter.
1944  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How to support the UK in their terrible all out war against the domestic foes? on: February 07, 2015, 02:50:58 PM
Oh fuck off, the simple fact is the root of the problem is nothing to do with the way people look at women it's to do with the fact that we literally elect dictators every 5 years who surround themselves with criminals and everyone has the balls to call that 'democracy'. This year is when the general elections begin, like Americans, we all have this huge circle jerk about how awesome the country is, elect someone just as bad as the previous person, go home, complain about how they're doing nothing to help people out and keep their promises and then the next election comes around and the process starts all over again.

Please support Direct Democracy so we can keep these fuckers in line and know that just because they get elected doesn't mean everyone automatically agrees with everything they say.

Ohhh man I love that rage, by the way I'm actually an Anarchist so Tongue by the way, just because humanity has repeated something for several thousand years doesn't make it a good thing.

ROFL! Yes, of course I'm against the brainwashing and subjugation of an entire species in the name of an invisible god aren't you? Oh wait, of course not, especially considering the level of response you just gave then. Respect is a two way thing, if you think that being beaten up and doing what that person tells you is respect then you have a very broken view of the world. What you're proposing isn't respect as I said, it is just obedience, you don't seem to know what respect actually is which can be clearly seen from the upbringing you've described, oh and if this isn't evidence of psychological damage from being hit as a child I don't know what is.

I think respect can be a very positive thing, but it isn't something that can be enforced, it has to be earned and you do that through reasoning and logic not threats of violence.
Just refer back to your response #1 to me.I had to get to your level.

LOL! Ah, circular logic, the last refuge of the pious.

You can't just say that there are some kids that don't need a good slap.

As I've said to other people, I've met plenty of kids who don't get hit that are totally nice, clearly there's more going on than people who are pro-hitting care to admit, people who talk about discipline are full of shit.
1947  Economy / Economics / Re: Video: Another economic crash is coming. How did this happen? on: February 07, 2015, 12:24:18 PM
A crash is probably imminent I just hope it doesnt turn out to be too major... I feel the system needs a massive overhaul but I do not think pushing and hoping for a collapse is a great way for it to happen.

We're all in Bitcoin, do you really think that a lot of us here give a shit what happens to a financial system that has royally screwed us and indebted generations for almost a century now? If people want to stay with such a system to the end then that's their choice.

Uh, you know what battery acid is right? It's incredibly easy to get, all you need to do get some batteries and then crack them open and there's the acid for you, she probably just put it in a glass or something afterwards, it's nasty stuff, that's why batteries are usually pretty solidly built.

Doesn't even have to be car batteries or anything I suspect, but then again I don't know how strong the various acids would be.
1950  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Pope Francis: parents can smack their children for bad behaviour on: February 07, 2015, 10:58:50 AM
What the fuck does that even mean? Also, your 'value' system seems to revolve around pure obedience, it doesn't seem to matter if you kill people or hurt them just as long as there's someone above in the hierarchy telling you what to do, to me that sounds an awful lot more like animal behaviour than anything children who don't get hit come up with and very much a pack mentality, in this case the alpha male/female is your parents. As I said, I'll settle just for children not killing, stealing or hurting other people, and religious people are such shining examples of all those three things aren't they? Even the fucking commandments are completely against that yet you have people blatantly committing to it as if it's not a big deal.

the actor's sole intent was to assume lawful control of the victim.

Well going by this definition I would say that was kidnapping because they were not going to let the child get away and they certainly wouldn't let him fight back.
1952  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is the big plan behind these Ebola/Measles scares? on: February 07, 2015, 10:48:00 AM
While I'm behind doctors and vaccinations that are actually necessary 100% this whole thing does seem dodgy as fuck doesn't it? It happened with the swine flu as well, particularly here in the UK, but we tend to get murder, kidnap and rape stories designed to keep us in fear constantly because they're more convincing than a disease we already have cures for.

Even Bill Maher on Friday was like "Yeahhh... Pharmaceautical companies pushing vaccinations?" Tongue

Very likely despite how much they like to attack precious metals and cryptocurrencies there will be a thing called capital flight outside various countries affected by a collapse of the current monetary system, massive amounts of wealth will leave the country and as usual economists and news journalists will fake total cluelessness on why.
1954  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are college textbooks in the US a total ripoff? on: February 07, 2015, 10:27:22 AM
Yes, I suspect particularly in the U.S many of these 'textbooks' will be filled with bullshit too so I wouldn't rely on them as sources of information beyond what you need to pass your tests.

Wow, this thread has turned into so many arguments. You guys should cool down a bit.

Anarchists in particular like to debate about things instead of avoid a topic Tongue This is pretty normal we talk about all sorts of stuff Cheesy
1956  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can You Kidnap Your Own Kid? on: February 07, 2015, 10:02:23 AM
Money or Obedience, that's all people who attack their own children care about.
1957  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can You Kidnap Your Own Kid? on: February 07, 2015, 09:57:57 AM
There was actually a movie, where someone did for Insurance movie.
Man of Fire I think.

There was actually a recent case here in the UK where there was a kidnapping of a child and it turned out that the child's own mother was in on it, I should probably dig that one up.

Got it! Knew I remembered right!

basic summary of what happened:

The court heard the pair plotted to claim the £50,000 reward money put up by the press for the youngster's return.
1958  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can You Kidnap Your Own Kid? on: February 07, 2015, 09:54:47 AM
That's straight up child abuse to me. Leaving the kid tied up in the basement for FOUR hours is way too far.

Seriously, you're going to argue the semantics of how long they were tied up their rather than the actual act itself?
1959  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Pope Francis: parents can smack their children for bad behaviour on: February 07, 2015, 09:13:25 AM
Considering the shit that our elders have put us through including fucking up the planet, world war 1 and 2, global warming, the idea of religion itself, the fact that they've indebted us to pay for their shit so they can have an easy life and are making it much more difficult for us to earn as a result. I don't see why we 'have' to be respectful towards them in the slightest, but then again, I didn't have it beaten into me as a child that I had to put up with peoples shit just because they're bigger than me when I was little which is all this amounts to in the end.

You guys are like hostages that have been beaten up by terrorists and suddenly start to like them for it for no fucking reason other than "They beat me up so now I respect them" you've had your so called 'respect' and manners beaten into you, these people aren't respectful, they're thugs.
1960  Economy / Economics / Re: Video: Another economic crash is coming. How did this happen? on: February 07, 2015, 08:29:23 AM
Excellent! Time to stock up on more Bitcoin while you can guys! These prices are dirt cheap!  Grin

p.s. Guardian journalist has no idea about anything, ignore him, he's trying to say we need a different bailout to get us out of this one
