I think the author is the finance professor.  I should bookmark this thing to facilitate rubbing his face in it when his deadline comes and goes.

Bitcoin price of $10 by mid 2014...  I was thinking we could reach $10 by late2014.

oh. mBTC.

Sorry guys, but we now have an established downtrend, so I'm going to dump about ~30k coins this week.
I can't wait for the price rising anymore.

... certainly not tell everyone if you were actually going to.   You are a troll anyway, you do not have any coins right now, you have been bearish forever, and only a fool would be so bearish and still have that many coins around . . .

Gox didn't want to drop, then at the last moment dumped under $700, now it won't go up.

This is the best part of the roller coaster!  Where your guts are decompressing from the bottom and you're getting vertical  Cheesy

No.... they didnt "ban" Bitcoin....

Gee where did you get that from? Their banks just refused to deal with bitcoin related business.

BTC not illegal in Thailand, you just got trolled by the media... lol

Why someone is asking this everyday?  Shocked

just about every media source in the world said it was.... cuz some dumbass troll on the forum said it was true yet had no proof.

This should be the new poll.

Do you think BTC is illegal in Thailand.

1 YES
2 NO
3 Goat is a troll

Pick two...of the three Grin

Extending time: Every valid bid placed during the last 10 minutes extends the auction for another 10 minutes.

Can you clarify this for me:

example A - 6 bids come in in the last 10 minutes, auction extends for 1 hour,
or
example B - 1 or more bids in last 10 minutes extends 10 minutes, during which 1 or more further bids extends a further 10 minutes, etc.

Which is it? or both? the way it is worded, it is potentially open ended...? Is there a maximum extension?

Sorry I am not familiar with this system, better to know before bidding!

Thanks

The PBOC also said that merchants could no longer price their goods and services in bitcoin and couldn’t exchange their wares for bitcoin.

do you have a link to the PBOC statement?

Don't go off all half-cocked people:

Thanks for that link!

If any of you were to get hit by a bus and wake from a coma 10 years from now, if you properly secured your wallet, you would want for nothing the rest of your lives.

Not even the $900,000 back for around the clock medical care?

I see the silk road coins are still under lock and key:

https://blockchain.info/address/1F1tAaz5x1HUXrCNLbtMDqcw6o5GNn4xqX

If they become 'seized proceeds of crime' after conviction - do they hit the market at any point....  Silly season question, just curious Wink

I read somewhere they (I think FBI) said they will probably liquidate it. But they'd have to wait until after the legal process. I don't think they'd sell it directly on the exchanges though.

Some insider will take the problem off their hands for far below market value. Because the FBI is not corrupt as the rest of the US govt  Roll Eyes
