301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's CryptoNote AMD GPU Miner v11.2 on: January 24, 2018, 07:42:12 PM
Help me here. I'm mining Intense.

I have 2 rigs, and in one of them Claymore's GPU miner works great, no problems.

In another one, I have a RX 570 and a RX 560. Performance with Claymore's miner is dismal. RX 560 seems normal ~ 400 H/s, but 570 is only giving 360 or so H/s.

I only edited config.txt file with pool and wallet adress and allpools = 1.

Using XMR-stak hashrate for 570 seems normal, 800+.

But I would like to use Claymore's, as on my main rig it's faster.

Older Quad-CPU servers seem to be a "goldmine" right now with GPU shortage and popularity of Cryptonight coins like ITNS.

Even so, older CPU's aren't particularly efficient with cryptonight.

I have an old Intel Xeon E5645 6 core (85W TDP) in my secondary machine and it struggles with 200 H/s with 6 threads. And it should excel with its 12 Mb of cache.

My laptop has a tiny core i7 7500u (15W TDP) and it does 130 H/s with 2 threads...

303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOTA - Thousands of Wallets Compromised and Funds Stolen on: January 22, 2018, 03:51:18 PM

that code is bad dont use it.  they are trying to scamm you again Math.random() is not secure.

Why?

Should I make another address and send IOTA there?

it's not random enough.. google it.
and yes move your iota to new address.; and be sure to create a REAL RANDOM seed  first

cat /dev/urandom |tr -dc A-Z9|head -c${1:-81} in a linux terminal is secure enough?

Maybe a little late, but this was the code I used, can't remember the github where I got it from.

Code:
<html>
<style type="text/css">
body {  background-color: #000;}
body,td,th {color: #0F0;}
</style>
<script>
function ran(){
var chars = "9ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ";
var string_length = 81;
var randomstring = '';
        for (var i=0; i<string_length; i++) {
            var rnum = Math.floor(Math.random() * chars.length);
            randomstring += chars.substring(rnum,rnum+1);
        }return randomstring ;
}</script>
<div align="center"><img src="http://blog.bitfinex.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/iota_logo-1024x254.png" width="1024" height="254"><br>
</div><p align="center">
<button type="button" onClick="document.getElementById('d').innerHTML = ran()"> Generate random 81 Trytes IOTA Seed </button>
<br><br><br><br><br><p align="center" id="d"></p>
</html>

Review it, save it to a file, rename it to .html, disconnect your internet and open it.

NEVER use an online generator for a seed, any coin.

Well, I just noticed that https://intense.hashvault.pro now have over 71% of the mining network!!!

I think that some miners who don't need individual workers stats should move to another pool to decentralize the mining.

And some pools should think about moving to the nodejs-pool to get some more attention.

Just my two cents, no offense to the other pools owners!

No it is not.

It's now the pool with more hashrate, yes, but last time I saw it had something like 5 MH/s an the official one 3 MH/s.
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOTA - Thousands of Wallets Compromised and Funds Stolen on: January 21, 2018, 05:15:44 PM
There is some open source html code seed generator that you can download and run offline. I did that.
Just checked it, my IOTA is safe.

Having said that, don't having a wallet able to generate its own seed and encrypt itself with a password was a disaster waiting to happen.

I can't believe why IOTA developers still didn't fix it ASAP.
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CPU mining 2017? on: January 21, 2018, 03:26:39 AM
Tested a friends computer with nicehash miner.

he has a i7-7800, and a geforce gtx 1060 3gb.

Does this look right?

https://ibb.co/eDkPob

Guessing if there is some OC then the CPU will mine just a little more?

Terrible. I got 200 H/s with a Xeon E5645 Westmere EP (2.4 ghz).

But then again, Nicehash is cancer...

It's back online and everything seems fine.
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CPU mining 2017? on: January 20, 2018, 10:29:11 PM
Ryzen CPU's are great for mining cryptonight.

My 1700 does 530 h/s with 8 threads.

That's a 65w CPU, mind that.
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] INTENSE COIN - Blockchain backed decentralized VPN - Hybrid PoW on: January 20, 2018, 09:14:40 PM
I can only hope transition goes smoothly without lost coins / wallets like IOTA and such.

What I really don't like is devs realizing they have to change all the coin backbone this late in the game as they found they couldn't deliver what was promised from the beginning...
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 580 alternative on: January 20, 2018, 07:50:54 PM
Thanks for the answers. RX 570 would be a good choice but I can't fin them easily (and maybe having more than 4gb RAM would be a good choice). What kind o performance can I have with a 6 x Gtx 1070 rig (in mh/s)?

Overclocking the memory, roughly the same as a 570/580 with modded bios.

Problem was 1070 were way more expensive than 580, but at the prices they're selling now, probabily not the case anymore.
313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 580 alternative on: January 20, 2018, 06:16:44 PM
RX 570 4gb should give you roughly the same performance.
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] INTENSE COIN - Blockchain backed decentralized VPN - Hybrid PoW on: January 20, 2018, 06:00:47 PM
You can google this 777000000000000022AA1C00315A5436A0550F15B68C1506004082007C041420CA8980A9020004C 01712262B612B3715
and find many interesting topics.

Yes, red video cards in this sense are much more interesting than green ones.

I still haven't tried the Elpida one.

But it's hashing at around 29.x MH/s in ETH as it is now, I don't know it it'll get much better.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] INTENSE COIN - Blockchain backed decentralized VPN - Hybrid PoW on: January 20, 2018, 05:33:31 PM
But, really, nobody comenting about coin rebasing to monero? That's major.
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] INTENSE COIN - Blockchain backed decentralized VPN - Hybrid PoW on: January 20, 2018, 05:14:54 PM
@korn, do you have other memory straps for other cards / memory?

I have a 570 with Elpida, 570 Hynix, 580 Hynix and 480 hynix.

With my card, I tried all timings for all manufacturers. From this topic https://goo.gl/1ud8gK
These were the best.
Micron worked best with them. Although these timings was for the Elpida Smiley
Look at the topic, there in russian, but this should not be problem

OK, I tried some straps on 570 and loss a bit of performance, and 580 8 Gb was not stable.

Meanwhile, 560 @ 1875 mem seems stable with intense, I'm trying Ethereum mining now, a bit of performance increase, almost 14 MH/s. Let's see if it's stable, performances increases are always welcome.

443 H/s @ 1875Mhz, let's see if it's stable.
319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] INTENSE COIN - Blockchain backed decentralized VPN - Hybrid PoW on: January 20, 2018, 03:15:37 PM
That memory strap does give insane performance, but it crashes my 560 in a couple of minutes mining ethereum.

That was @ 2000 mhz memory. Shoud I run it slower but with thosr timings?
I'm use GPU1000/Mem1750
ETH give me 12.3, but i'm mine CryptoNote (410 Claymore, 440 sgminer)

I see. Let me try @ 1850 and I'll report back.

Ethereum performance is important to me also. With my previous bios I was getting 13.8 in ETH and 380 in Intense.

A week ago i take MSI RX550 2Gb, upgraded bios and now I have 480H\s from 1 card with only 27-30W. 1 card here was about 100$ price, so its perfect choice for cryptonight right now.

How? I have a 560 4 Gb, 1190/200 clocks, modded bios with PBE 1.6 and I can only get ~380 H/s.

who is the manufacturer of memory?
and try sgminer 5.5.5-gm
rawintensity/worksize 420/8 (448/2), gpu-threads 2

Micron.

Couldn't get sgminer-gm to run, though.

Coud you share bat file?

I'm use this one for micron

I'm use this miner (nanopool_RX460560.conf Change the pool and wallet in this file.
The second address is also changed to your own. start from this - NiceRX460560Platform0.bat)

From 380 to 470 H/s in cryptonight, damn!

Ps - it also crashes the system miming intense, rebooting now.
