301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I stop looking at Bitcoin Price on: April 10, 2018, 03:42:20 PM
I just stop looking at bitcoin price. It hurts me actually, that's why I took this decision. I am holding few of BTC and I will not look at my wallets too for 2 months. I hope after 2 months when I will go to see bitcoin price, maybe I will scream happily. What about you guys?  Grin
Seems like you are a long-term Bitcoin holder, not a day trader who needs to keep up with the price 24/7. This a very good decision, trust me it will bring so many benefits to your life. I've been doing the same thing for a while now, not caring about the price at all and just holding it like a boss. I actually could enjoy my life better. It brings peace to your mind.

Just a tip, make sure you cash out some of your BTC when it's rising to make sure that you have enough money to live when the hard times like this come.

Actually this is also what I do now, not always checking on bitcoin’s price on daily basis. It somehow relieves the feeling of being stress and avoid hassle. Maybe for the daily traders this is not applicable since they do it regularly but for hodlers it is useful.
302  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Bitcoin Experience More Price Volatility in 2018? on: April 10, 2018, 03:53:29 AM
I agree with the part of high volatility is the intrinsic value of Bitcoin, couldn't agree more. Bitcoin is used as an investment ride these days, people are using Bitcoin price volatility to gain profit or loss  Grin. As long as Bitcoin is volatile, more and more people are going to know Bitcoin.
In 2017, Bitcoin is developing better and more supporters of Bitcoin; I think that in 2018 Bitcoin will achieve the most milestone, Nowadays many people want to be rich quick so they choose Bitcoin as a currency so that investors can make success as soon as possible.

so it means, more investor will come to bitcoin and this will increase the volume and the price also and finally bitcoin will reach the highest price again. and yes, it is because, in the December 2017 ago, people see that bitcoin price can increase in a short time and they cannot believe that it's happening. so now, while the price is at the low price, they can buy as much bitcoin as they can to be ready if the price is getting up soon.

Basically, that is what happening right now. When 2018 comes in the volatility of bitcoin is at its highest. And no one can tell if it will stop or continue to dump and pump this year. Let’s just wait and see but continue to have an optimistic thoughts that the bitcoin market will rise and more investors will come in which eventually lead the bitcoin price to rise again.
303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What were your experiences with Bitcoin when you first started? on: April 10, 2018, 01:32:35 AM
I was amazed on how bitcoin works and excited to claim and claim satoshis in faucets. I've searched all over the internet all faucets of bitcoin and then claim again and again until I withdrawn it and see how less bitcoin I got.

My first experience with bitcoin when I started last year 2017 was like I find it very complicated / difficult to understand and hard to earn. But as time goes by and upon reading several posts and some google search I finally find it useful and profitable. Although my first bounty campaign was a failure I didn’t get my money from it because it was hacked. I still continue to try on and make sure to keep guard of my pinkey to avoid reoccurrence.
304  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: April 09, 2018, 03:31:32 PM
I think in the future, the traditional currencies/fiat money and the cryptocurrencies will always be used together. I don't think that Bitcoin will replace Dollar. That it is impossible that Bitcoin will replace Dollar because as we can see both has different world

Just curious. How did you gain control of this account? You are not the original owner of this account, Mr. Ethan Mckibben?

BTW, we also have your email address, VPN company, IP, and location, among other useful data.

BTW, I think 1 crypto will eventually replace FIAT. That's the point of it in the first place. We are still a long way from there. We would have to stop being corruption slaves, get rid of governments and their FIAT, and finally control our own money

I dont think bitcoin can replace dollar or any currency as early as 15 years. Although I believe that it will happen but maybe not as fast as 15 years. Dollar particularly is a very stable and strong currency in the world. It is not easy to be replaced since it is used worldwide.

It has been one of my driving force in joining  the cryptocurrency. For my family's future. And with the long term investment like bitcoin, it seems sound.

Buying bitcoin is not at all a bad idea. We all know that is a very good long term investment. For me, personally I will buy different kinds of altcoins when they are in low price. And definitely, I am not going to use my earnings in my offline job to buy altcoins but from the money I earned in the bounty campaigns. Just to make sure that I will not be mixing my bitcoin and the money in my regular offline job earnings. It is important for me to ensure that my finances will be well managed. Same importance as preparing for the future of my children.

308  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will never reach 20,000 again on: March 12, 2018, 10:12:54 AM
do not say that word ,when bitcoin crash form 1156 to 198,so many say bitcoin will never reach 1156 again ,now is 10000.i think history repeats.

I don't want to make negative speculations about bitcoin's future. Specially on its value because I only want all positive about it because that is what many people want to happen. It happened before there is no reason it cannot happen again. All good thought about bitcoin is what I want.

310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Effects of Gambling on: March 11, 2018, 06:18:16 AM
Here is my story based on Gambling experience. I had a girlfriend, I had car (2006 Mercedes S Class) I had people that owe me more than 10k$. I ended loosing up everything (including my girlfriend) and making 30 000$ of loans which I managed to return after that. All this on the age of 19
I was so dissapointed from me at one point that I wanted to suicide, I lost many friends during that time and it was hard. Now I don't gamble what I can't afford to lose anymore and I tend to gamble with scripts now to prevent myself from going greedy.

Sadly, this is a bad story, you are gamble addict man.
if you can't control your money and your emotion on gambling, it is possible you lose everything.

Gambling will leave you broke and empty and that is most probably will happen to anybody who is addicted in gambling. Being happy is just temporary, gaining new friends in the casino is only temporary because when you have nothing all else will follow including your new found  friends. Better know your limitations before its too late.
311  Economy / Economics / Re: What happens when there is NO electricity? How does one trade with BTC? on: March 10, 2018, 02:44:55 PM
You can't. Not just without an electricity but also without internet is a question. That is the weakness of Bitcoin itself. You need to constantly be connected to the internet to do everything you wanted to do in it, unless physical coin of Bitcoin is made globally and could be used as a payment but that is really not or unlikely to happen, because it would deny the rule of being digital and decentralized because there will be a center of the supply of the coins globally and transaction would be made physically. So generally, if you really wanted to trade in BTC but worrying about the electricity issues, then stop right there because you might end up just wasting your time building your capital and having a occasional cut-off due to electric cuts.

Yes, definitely we cannot use bitcoin trading and other transactions with crypto if there is no electricity and internet connection. Electricity and internet is the most important thing here but it will not be lost it will be usable as soon as the connection gets back. You just need to be ready at anytime of calamaties. Security of lives of the people specially your family and of yourself is the most important thing to do at all cost.
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Im afraid of Hackers/Scammers! on: March 10, 2018, 12:52:54 PM
Yes im afraid of scammers because yours files or integration account is verry important so be careful in any transacrioin we do to not be able to scam the any person that kept

I myself have experienced being hacked. My wallet got hacked by an evil and heartless creature and took all my money from a bounty campaign. It was supposed to be my first time to be paid for joining signature and facebook campaigns. Just 3 hours after it was transferred to my personal wallet its gone. Now, i will be extra careful with my wallet to avoid reoccurrence. I am not just scared of scammers and hackers, i hate them.
313  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin the next big thing? on: March 10, 2018, 08:34:47 AM
Of course, bitcoin will be the next big thing in the future. But if you have to replace the real currency, I do not think it will happen forever. Bitcoin is just a kind of alternative currency that can be used to facilitate all transactions and can be trusted by many people to serve as a form of investment assets.
As far as I am concerned, bitcoin is already a big thing and I see it improving as a big thing the more. You may say it is just an alternative currency but you also have to understand that it is the currency that has really given the community a great benefit over time in so many ways and that makes it pretty enticing. As long as I can always make easy transactions, then bitcoin remains the best and big thing for me.

Yes, i agree that bitcoin is no question a big thing already. It is happening now at this very moment. It is a currency a digital currency. Obviously, it is totally different from fiats. With regards to replacing the fiat money I think it is impossible to happen because not all are using it, some are still unaware about cryptocurrencies and bitcoin. So fiat money stays the same even cryptocurrency exists.
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty Rewards: Sell immediately or HODL? on: March 10, 2018, 04:11:26 AM
I've been doing bounty campaigns only since December 2017.  Not long, in the scheme of things.  But one thing that truly surprised me during the last couple of months is the number of bounty hunters who look to sell their tokens ASAP.  At first, I didn't understand why, but I think I'm beginning to.

For me, I'm doing these bounty campaigns for a bit of fun and to give my mind a bit work to do, creatively speaking.  So my mindset for any bounty tokens is just to HODL and allow the devs to implement their roadmap and take the project through to completion.  I think this will give the best realisation of value on the tokens.  Sure, some may fail and they will likely end up worthless, but since I only invested time, not money, into receiving them, I'm not really worried.

So with that mindset, I struggled to understand why so many people were eager to offload their bounties at the earliest opportunity.

But over the weekend, I sat down and did some calculations on the accumulated bounty rewards I'm expecting to receive.  Each bounty by itself was a modest return, but when combined in totality, it was a sizeable amount.  And that's when it struck me...

Lots of people who live in less fortunate parts of the world, particularly in areas with high unemployment, probably NEED to sell their bounty rewards to put food on the table and pay their bills.

But I really don't know if my assumptions are correct.  So, my question to you is...

Do you sell your Bounty Rewards straight away or HODL?  Any insight into your reasons would be appreciated.

## If this post has been thought provoking for you, I'd really appreciate a bit of Merit in return ##

It depends on the project i'm into but usually I sell just 30% of it and HODL the rest for about 6 months coz' most significant developments and improvements of a  project happens after 6 months.

It’s really up to you if you if you feel like selling it because the price is high. It depends on the market value of the token you have. You may opt to hold and wait for it to increase its  value if the market is low. But I suggest if  you hold you should keep it safe and secured to avoid loss.
315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to eliminate unemployment. on: March 09, 2018, 02:36:25 PM
Almost every country has unemployment problems. There are many young boys who are working unemployed. But the days of settling their turn are over. Now, if you wish, you can earn a lot of money sitting in the house. Bitcoin can earn their unemployment by earning. It can be possible to improve the country by improving their lives by earning bitcoin. That is why Bitcoin among all Habetahale to spread the knowledge of the second day will increase the demand for Bitcoin.
Bitcoin can't totally eliminate the employment but it can lessen the unemployment rate in our society. Eliminating the unemployment is not the main goal of the bitcoin, the bitcoin is only giving benefits and it is the reason why the unemployment is continuing to decrease.

Yes, i agree with you, that bitcoin cannot totally eliminate the unemployment rate in any country but it surely lessen the number of unemployed individuals. And bitcoin adds another hope for  people that needs extra income in addendum to their current jobs.
316  Economy / Economics / Re: Study says being rich is determined by chance rather than intelligence or talent on: March 09, 2018, 12:47:59 PM
I think there are so many reasons of becoming rich one is through inheritance and also some people become rich because they have the knowledge and luck in life, they are also devoted in their work so they become successful and rich.

Sometimes becoming rich is base on how well you managed your life. Lucky if you were born in a well off family that everything is all set for you the time you were born. But to those who were not so lucky that needs to work hard to reach their goals sometimes  it can be base on luck and strategy to win success.
317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling addiction a disease? on: March 09, 2018, 08:52:48 AM
Too much is bad and just like in gambling when you had too much its bad for someone's health, mentally and physically. And when it affects bad things in one's life it can be considered as a disease. Most of the post here are saying that gambling addiction is a disease which is right.
https://www.helpguide.org/articles/addictions/gambling-addiction-and-problem-gambling.htm

Gambling is basically not a disease but a kind of problem that needs a serious solution. If a person is addicted to gambling he usually disregard and put aside something important over it. To help a person who is addicted to gambling is not an easy task because it is a personal decision of the person if he really want to get out from it.
318  Economy / Economics / Re: Can you start from zero cash and make a living with the opportunities in crypto? on: March 09, 2018, 07:34:41 AM
Yes! There is a way that you can earn with the crypto currencies without  starting a cash of money. You can start by applying for a bounty campaign like social media, signature campaign, translation and other offers of services.
Yes certainly, for that is what i did. Due to my eagerness and curiosity to earn a living on the way of crypto I have started to search about bitcoin and i found out that doing bounty campaign will help me to earn token as a bounty reward and later trade it into bitcoin for me to convert into our real money.

Off course there are lot of bitcoiners who started from nothing and made it happen. It depends on how willing a person to wait for a good pay. It’s not really easy because you need a lot of time and effort to earn money from ICO’s. But it’s all worth it.
319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am I a newbie and can participate in some of the project's bounty activities? on: March 09, 2018, 05:31:27 AM
I don't have the money to buy cryptocurrencies, let alone bitcoins, but I want to earn some money by doing some bounty.

You can read about bounty hunting programs here https://hackernoon.com/what-are-bounty-programs-in-ico-campaigns-6aefbc9c56e6
Or you can search this forum for additional info.

Then you can visit this link (https://icobountyhunt.com/) for ICO campaigns.

But first you need to rank up first to join in bounty hunting.
Jr. Member rank is the minimum requirement to join, other ICO projects requires Member ranks to join.

Hope this helps, enjoy and good luck

As a newbie you are not qualified to join bounty campaigns. To join you must be at least a Jr Member. So just work on making at least 30 constructive and informative posts. Read more about cryptocurrency so you can have something good to share in the bitcoin forum.
320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: After 3 months, what do you have? on: March 09, 2018, 04:06:04 AM
I started in investing in Crypto 3 months ago as well. I have been buying on the dips but my portfolio is down 30%, this has been a horrible experience for me so far. I hope the next few months bring me better luck.

We don't have nothing to do now but to wait and let see what will happen to the coin after a months, since I join in crypto world 3 months is the time that I always study here. After that i joined campaign so the token I get from the campaign will I use to invest.

For me personally after 3 months and after joining a bounty campaign I have zero. After my hardwork and git paid from an ICO my token got hacked. It was very disappointing for me as a first timer. But I won’t give up. I know next time it will not be the same.
