301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What strategies do you use to make profits or to make your portfolio grow? on: August 11, 2020, 06:03:20 PM
I do not have a specific or well defined strategy, i usually buy coins at low price and also keep good coins and tokens from bounties for longterm especially if i have confidence in them and them wait for price to surge well over 100 to 200 percent from ico prices and then i take profit but this strategy can take long times so patience is key.
302  Other / Archival / Re: [GUIDE] Stablecoin Economy on: August 11, 2020, 02:48:20 PM
To be honest for many years i thought stablecoins are useless or they are similar to money grabbing schemes where developers are selling their fake usd against your real usd, btc or eth. But now i have realized how these stablecoins work and their importance in trading etc and suddenly i have started believing in their authenticity and importance.
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Name really matter in crypto? on: August 11, 2020, 12:56:37 PM
Please there's something I really want to understand about this crypto industry because at times as a newbie in this cryptocurrency industry you might get this wrong by making more mistakes in crypto. Does crypto name really matter before it become successful?
Basically what matters is the quality of development.
Proactiveness and competency of the team.
Practical and in demand products or services.
Project can potentially generate regular revenue for its sustainability and profitability over the longrun.
If all these things are there then name only has a small or ignorable impact.
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trx or Eth ? on: August 11, 2020, 12:09:21 PM
Both of them have a lot of dapps and they could both go to the sky.
Vitalik and Justin work hard to make their coins better too so i am not sure which one could be better in the future. What do You think about this ?
Ethereum is the top choice of most of the crypto community.
It has the largest ecosystem, largest daily transactions, most dApps and tokens hosted and easily the largest altcoin.
If we talk about popularity still ethereum comes to the top, only second to bitcoin.
305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Classic Second Attack $1.68M Out on: August 09, 2020, 12:01:12 PM
Ethereum Classic Attacker Successfully Double-Spends $1.68M in Second Attack

Ethereum Classic’s second 51% attack Thursday resulted in a massive reorganization of 4,236 blocks and successful double-spend of $1.68 million worth of cryptocurrency, according to an investigation by Bitquery.

The attacker tried to double-spend 465,444 ethereum classic (ETC), worth approximately $3.3 million, but only successfully double-spent 238,306 ETC, worth $1.68 million, according to the report.

An additional 14,200 ETC were also claimed by the attacker via block rewards during the event.
Bitquery found the hashpower required for the attack was probably bought from the same source as for the first attack: Nicehash DaggerHashimoto.

Thursday's attack is the second on the Ethereum Classic platform within five days. The first attack occurred on Aug. 1 and was originally thought to be the result of software complications.
Ethereum Classic Labs, the core development organization behind Ethereum Classic, announced Friday that it has retained law firm Kobre & Kim to investigate and pursue criminal charges against the perpetrators of
both 51% attacks, according to a press release shared with CoinDesk.

https://www.coindesk.com/ethereum-classic-attacker-successfully-double-spends-1-68m-in-second-attack-report
That is unfortunate and this will put brakes on ethereum classic's development and progress once again.
I think there should be some mechanism to track down such culprits and even if they are not punished the coins(assets) must be returned from them otherwise it is the loyal supporters, investors and hodlers that suffer in the end.
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which GOLD backed coin/token do you think the best? on: August 09, 2020, 11:25:34 AM
A current one is GOLD stablecoin which is promoting their project in the forum through signature campaign. I haven't checked that yet. What do you think about this project or any other project you know which you think the best GOLD backed token, please share your opinion here. Would appreciate a healthy discussion.
To be honest i am not holding any gold backed token because i am mostly suspicious about their authenticity but if i ever went to hold such tokens i will get Pax Gold (paxG) definitely because Pax is a registered and licensed company and is compliant with financial regulators also they have big plans for future and also they are going into partnerships with some very big names like paypal too. So definitely i will pick paxg as the most solid gold back stablecoin.
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Chainlink destined for New Highs in 2020? on: August 09, 2020, 09:25:57 AM
Link is great indeed, but will this make it a $10 coin any soon? i don't think so.
Although it's solving already a real life problem with it's great partnership with google, the sad truth remains that crypto is the most volatile market & everything may take it down to the ground for no logical reason.

I keep seeing shitty coins that worth $1 while other great lockchains & projects worth less than $0.02 simply because they are not into the right exchanges & have 0 market makers.
Well, to be honest the thread starter was spot on and it is amazing to see how he spotted the right project and within months it has grew so well and already hit $10. This is what i like about forums and discussion boards like bitcointalk, you can easily get knowledge, critical analysis and wisdom being an active community member here.
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elrond ERD - Became eGLD/ elrond GOLD what you think? on: August 08, 2020, 02:24:59 PM
Hello nowadays we have a new and for me most potential project called elrond and I been joined on their community years ago. Last year its underrated project and anyone has no idea about this, But this year its a very massive adoption of this currency also they will divided their supply in to the 20M from 20B after mainnet.

Elrond Gold is the most secured and very fast in terms of transaction. Lots of potential and fundamentals, This is not financial advice but what do you think of their sPoS or Secured proof of stake? Unlimited staking will become after 30 to 60days after the mainnet. Would you like to add info about this project to the other can be found an information here. Lets talk about the future!
Elrond has been supported and backed by good players including binance so naturally its quality and growth is what has attracted people to it also do not forget that binance has a special program to support high quality projects with funding recent example is injective protocol so with elrond the community is confident of good things to come because it has strong roots.
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: usdt tether market cap grows from 4,6 billions to 10,800 billions from March on: August 08, 2020, 12:59:23 PM
usdt tether market cap grows from 4,6 billions to 10,800 billions from March 2020

For last week - when btc jumped from 9 000 to 11 000 - tether issued 800 millions usdt

Do you think tether really has fiat for backing this usdt?  Wink
This is really bullish for the market as usdt has become a new standard to enter the crypto market which means that new money is flowing into the market as more usdt are minted also we can easily assume the trend with new usdt being minted for me it simply means more demand for crypto and more people want to buy crypto and being a big crypto company i am sure bitfinex will have a clear account regarding usdt.
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CHALLENGES FACED BY ASPIRING CRYPTO TRADERS on: August 08, 2020, 12:01:46 PM
As a budding bounty Hunter with exceptional writing prowess, I ve become somewhat interested in crypto-trading and am eager to learn it, there are recommendations to start with learning Binance exchange and Okex exchange. But the challenge for me &  some other budding crypto-enthusiat like me is the fragmentation of crypto resource on YouTube, I find it hard to get or create a demo account in which I can learn crypto, I can't seem to get a tutorial video for beginners on crypto trading and this is really challenging for me, I am open to suggestions, recommendations & mentorship.
There are hundreds of free resources and teaining programs both on youtube and other trading related blogs, it is just your level of understanding from where you want to start, if you are complete newbie, you should first learn technical analysis, that mainly including reading charts, candlestick patterns, trends, ranges, breakouts and the very basic support and resistance but even after that you do not feel confident or you have small capital then i would suggest to hold good coins only and do not look to trade.
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi - the niche within a niche and incredibly small community on: August 08, 2020, 09:26:45 AM
Most DeFi tokens are concentrated in hands of Top 500 Holders!   https://cointelegraph.com/news/analysis-most-defi-tokens-are-concentrated-in-hands-of-top-500-holders

If that is true, DeFi is like a sandbox game, with a very limited amount of players actually playing. Observing this from outside the crypto bubble it´s concerning that DeFi, while a good idea and worth investing, has such a small holders community.

Could that be a problem in the long run?

I do not think that will be a problem i still remember Basic attention Token and their ico that was sold within seconds to a handful of investors but see today the project and its token is a success so number of holders do not matter actually it is the number of users of the platform or service that matters.
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm dumping my coins because.. on: August 08, 2020, 08:49:28 AM
I'm usually a holder I still coins and tokens I've got from Bounty campaign just like the two of the just recent projects I've participated in I'm still holding both of them but there are instances in the past that I dump my coins/tokens  because
The coin is not progressing and I want to buy coins that has more potential.

So what is or are your reason why you are dumping your coin?
Dumping only makes sense when you have solid and logical reason to do so and if ypu think team is not doing well or the project has lost its way you can definitely sell and flip into a better one but i think even to do that you have to give ample time and support the project otherwise the project may surprise later prie example is synthetix network.
313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Those initial exchange offering (IEO) reduce opportunities for bounty hunters? on: August 08, 2020, 07:14:48 AM
Will the current hype & acceptance of the initial exchange offering (IEO) over the erstwhile initial coin offering (ICO) affect the opportunities for bounty  hunters?

Can a project on initial exchange offering (IEO) still fail or exploit people?
Yes it is still a possibility the scammers can even deceive the exchange team that approves a project as IEO listing but to be honest the chances of scam reduce significantly as compared to open ICOs.
Regarding bounty hunting, i think there will not be much effect because each and every project, whether ico or ieo needs to send the message across and also build a community of supporters for their project. So the effective way is to run a comprehensive bounty campaign only.
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The new drama has started in Altcoin on: August 08, 2020, 05:45:39 AM
AS for many days, the crypto market is now in good conduction as compare from the last three to four months. But now a new thing in coming to altcoin, that the prices of all altcoins are fluctuating very badly and not able to stable in a single position for at least an hour. So, what should we do in this dramatic conduction of altcoin?
Why do you want or need stable prices in the first place? If you want to make payment with fixed value you can use stablecoins. Most traders like volatility and rapid market movements as this gives them the chance to trade and profit and this is what crypto market is famous for.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons to trade ether as an alternative to Bitcoin trading. on: August 07, 2020, 07:43:44 PM
I hold and support both btc and eth. Infact i want to buy and hold all the legit coins because as a part of this community and supporting this technology we should appreciate and respect all good projects and we can do that simply by buying and holding them and you know what can be better than this that you will be able to profit and cashout alongwith the success of each project.
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust USDT? on: August 07, 2020, 07:18:30 PM
USD Tether is a Bitfinex issued ERC-20 token which is claimed to be backed by dollar at 1:1 ratio. There are controversial opinions about this and some say it's a scam.

Do you trust USDT or believe it might be a scam?
No bro, if it was scam it would not have sustained so far forward, till now it would have been forced to shut down and the people behind it jailed but the fact is that the project is clear and they have justified their business procedure several times to the authorities that is why they are still operating after the green signal from authorities.
Personally i really enjoy usdt pairs and it is really fun to trade with this pair.
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Attention for bounty work on: August 07, 2020, 06:54:53 PM
For those of you who work on the BitcoinTalk forum, bounty is a must. Most of the bounties that come now are scams. Because of all these cheaters, the Bounty Hunters are infamous. So I say don't let anyone fall prey to the cheaters. meber. Sr member. Hero member. Legendary member. Etc. When you see a Legendary member leave a bounty or a Hero member leaves a bounty, you will understand that the bounty is good. But when newble. Jr member
No good can be expected when you leave a bounty. If you have to work for 2-3 months on a purchased bounty, then if it is a scam, then your head gets hot. I am not saying that you do as I say. My application to the moderator Scmar. Who should be expelled from the forum. And I have a claim to everyone. Is there an argument in my words. What am I? I can't get a merit in exchange for these words? Everyone say in the comments. So hopefully no one will fall prey to the cheaters if you can catch the cheaters.
It is not the simple and it is not always the fault of the bounty manager sometimes the scammers are hiding behind a project so accurately that no one can guess that it would end up as scam. I have seen many good looking projects failing or scamming with real teams and projects. So it is all based on luck sometimes you will hit a golden project that will reward you big and you will forget all pain, just keep on working.
318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple’s $0.3 Sideways Action May End With a Huge Move (XRP Price Analysis) on: August 07, 2020, 05:35:01 PM
Xrp is no exception and i am sure after months and months of ranging and accumulation it will break above as well like all big coins but then again i think key mover remains to be bitcoin once btc breaks above 20k all good coins will follow for sure and we can declare bull dominancy in the market.
319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hey guys, what Alt coin Trading method do you recommend. on: August 07, 2020, 03:17:29 PM
During bull run buy low sell high strategy can work but always open the position in direction of the trend. In bear market ranging markets it is better to just scalp with multiple confirmations only otherwise you can be trapped in the trades.
