301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitstarz Need help getting my deposit back/credited on: December 19, 2021, 10:51:46 AM
Ether fees are not controlled by Bitstarz.

If you have already made your deposit there is really nothing you can do.

Next time, either use a lower fee coin or choose a better time to send your transaction when there is less congestion on the ETH network. But the fees that you have paid seem to be quite standard for ETH.
302  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 caZZZino.com 🎰| Brand-new games! 🎲 | Provably Fair 💯| Wager Bonuses ⭐ on: December 19, 2021, 10:33:26 AM
Welcome!

Just a suggestion - you may want to overhaul your bonus system.

The rewards scheme is slightly convoluted and simply isn't interactive enough in my opinion to make it big in the long run. You want it to be straightforward, be able to be tracked in real time, etc. Also a $100 wagering bonus for the highest volume bettor for the entire month isn't very attractive for whales imho.
303  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitVest, The worst casino I have ever seen on: December 19, 2021, 10:24:05 AM
A long running site should not be an excuse to delay the payments and delay to resolve the issue, I see this as very unprofessional especially if it took a week or more before you hear an update. Bitvest though is still consider as one of the good gambling site, I tried playing on this before and I can confirm this. Problems like this should address right away not unless they didn’t care about their reputation anymore.

I completely agree.

And agree with the sentiment that lightlord should probably sell the project. But that would obviously come only if there is interest in an acquisition.

I personally don't see health problems/long standing reputation or anything of that sort as a valid excuse for being completely unprofessional and borderline scamming customers, especially when holding withdrawals can lead to problem gamblers risking their withdrawals.
304  Economy / Economics / Re: I think most people still trust the USD more than Bitcoin on: December 19, 2021, 10:17:48 AM
It's funny because that's exactly what the Fed is doing right now.

They don't need to mint the 1 Trillion dollar coin because they are doing so through repos every single day.

People are conditioned to accept fiat currency but they are not conditioned to do the same for BTC. Simple as that.
305  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gamblineers.com | the Bitcoin Casino Guide on: December 19, 2021, 10:14:08 AM
Not sure what the criteria are for selection?

Because I don't actually see a lot of the big casinos out there listed on your site. It seems like that the ratings are quite arbitrary (potentially ordered based on how much affiliate earnings they bring through instead of the quality of the site)?

I think that being impartial would pay a lot more in the long run as a review service. Just my two cents.
306  Economy / Economics / Re: Only 50% of the college Class of 2020 had full-time jobs 6 months post grad on: December 19, 2021, 09:54:15 AM
That graph is quite misleading given the skewed scales in my opinion.

I think that it is definitely a real effect in the sense that they were not able to find jobs immediately following the pandemic, but just a few months after the pandemic the job market has become incredibly hot again.

If you are a talented coder etc. you will have absolutely 0 issue with finding employment in the current climate. In fact recruiters will beg for you.
307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 19, 2021, 09:24:53 AM
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander!!! Buzzer beater in the three-point lane.
What a great ball game! Clippers could've put the dagger if Winslow put in the two free throws given to him. But no, he missed them both and let the lead stay on 2.
What's more amazing is, it was Nicolas Batum who was defending SGA. He was expecting him to attack the paint for a two-point and let the game go overtime but he didn't. Stepped back make a large space against the defender and gave the OKC a W.

Damn, I had Clippers -2.5 in that game mate, when Jackson shoot both free throws I said to myself that my chances are high to win as they are up by 4 points. But they did put a poor defence on SGA and allow him to score easy two. And then that 2 free throw missed really cost me the game and then that winning shot by SGA. Well that's NBA for us, truly excitement up to the last second.

I feel you, Even I don't have a bet in that game but the frustration after that 2 missed FT.

And like what you have just said, it's NBA and shit always can happen. What to do now is to move on and forget about the game
to think clear finding the game that will give you a chance to recover.

Congrats to all those who take both ML and handicap for OKC, that's really sweet!

SGA has developed into a great player and definitely deserves an All-Star this year.

I think that OKC is low-key very talented and they should get a whole lot better as the year goes on and players develop.

The defense by Batum was honestly unacceptable though. Like come on.

Then I ran a couple million simulations and found that the max loss in a row rarely exceeds 15, so I decided to take the loss at 16 losses.[/li][/list]

And this is where you screwed up.

It is almost guaranteed that you will encounter a streak that is long enough to bust your entire bankroll sooner or later.

Understand that gambling in any form (including coinflips) is a negative EV game. The more volume you bet the more likely you are to lose it all, regardless of how good you feel about the strategy you are using.
309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 19, 2021, 03:02:23 AM
It's worth noting that Lebron scores an average of 25.7 points per game this season. Imho this is an impressive result for a 37-year-old player. By the way, he still needs 2559 points to break Kareem's record, and it looks like he will be able to break it next season if he continues to play at the same pace.

For sure.

However, numbers aside, how much of this is actually translating to wins for the Lakers?

Lebron is easily the best player on the team and gets the most touches, so it wouldn't be a surprise that he is indeed averaging a great amount of points. But his efficiency is declining for sure.
310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 15, 2021, 12:08:59 AM
Unfortunately, covid-19 started having its affects in NBA also. There is already a game that has been postponed: Chicago Bulls - Detroit Pistons. It must be because of this new variant that people have been talking about lately. I hope that it doesn't spread among so many players in NBA. Otherwise, we might come back to the old days which the games were being played without supporters.

It would be interesting to see how the bookies handle this honestly.

Seems to me that there may be potential issues when it comes to bet settlements in this period for games which have been postponed, especially if they are parlay bets.

Hopefully everyone gets their deserved settlement out of this unfortunate situation.
311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slot providers... which one is the best?! on: December 14, 2021, 11:24:26 PM
I think that Pragmatic Play by far.

They have the best games for me personally, and their RTPs aren't crazy low like a lot of the other providers. Plus they have gotten a good reputation over the past few years.

But I think that NetEnt is close behind as well - they are definitely not too shabby.
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gemini Raises $400 Million To Build A Metaverse Outside Facebook’s | DESO on: December 12, 2021, 11:15:50 PM
I honestly don't see these Metaverses adding much value.

Most of the value is going to come from decentralized projects that build on metaverses. Not developed by big corporations, but rather by grassroots organisations and groups that have much more motivation than profits.

This seems to be the clear recipe for success in the cryptospace at least.
313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why LTC stuck on same price range? on: December 12, 2021, 08:37:39 PM
LTC accepted all over the world but it's price still low
same as last 4 years
why it's stuck on same price range?

Because a lot of the functionality of LTC has been replaced by better coins.

There was a time when LTC was the fastest, most efficient coin out there. But that time has long passed.

Now people are looking for smart contract functionality and everything of that nature, which LTC simply does not have the capacity to scale to. Development has also stalled. All of this come together to give you the stagnating price.
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is USDT? on: December 12, 2021, 08:09:16 PM
This is a question i had for a long time, ive seen majority of traders buy and trade crypto through USDT,they just blindly trust it ,as its purpose is that of a stable coin ,i.e. basically a crypto replacement for USD($).
But what if the company behind USDT decides to cheat its holders,is there any way we can find out before a complete disaster? (for e.g. they start minting more coins unnecessarily)
is there any safety mechanism or a red flag indicator before its too late?

Not safe.

You are much better off if you even just opt for DAI or USDC instead of USDT.

Tether has a track record of fractional reserves which is the exact opposite of decentralized cryptos mantra. It is essentially an interest free loan given to Tether without any protection/collateral for the people who are holding the USDT.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Kindly suggest metaverse tokens which could lead the future on: December 12, 2021, 10:49:10 AM
Decentraland and Sandbox.

Both have great bases already and I doubt that they will go to zero like a lot of the other projects, and really for now surviving the bear market will be the determinant of success.

They are also actively developing and have good ownership economics on their platform which makes their tokens valuable. Worth a buy imho.
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT for money laundering? on: December 12, 2021, 10:19:15 AM
In fact, NFT is not used to launder money, but it can be said that NFT is a golden opportunity for those who want to launder money. Reason:
NFT uses blockchain technology. So it increases the difficulty in tracing the identity of the person who wants to launder money.
NFTs dealing with “artistic” topics are overvalued. Because simply, it is "art", but "art" does not have any pricing standards. If you argue, just say "I find it beautiful and valuable!". So it can cost anything, meaning the money launderer can launder as much as he wants.
NFT is inflated in terms of technology value. And in that wave of FOMO, multi-million dollar to tens of million dollar transactions are “normal”. Since then, these "normal" transactions have become "mirrors" in the media. But no longer under the suspicion of the public.
NFT has not yet received adequate attention from regulators. Rather, it is not strictly controlled for tax arrears and identity requirements for high value transactions. So, while regulations are being abandoned, this is a golden opportunity for money launderers.

This picture explains the pricing standards of today’s NFT hehehe.

Price is easily manipulated and very easily dictated because the market is not similar to cryptocoins where buying and selling occurs in real time.

Also, how does everyone know that NFTs are not being used for money laundering? Would money launderers tell you their activities?

It's absolutely insane how easily this can be done.

Any scammers can literally do this over and over again without fail, with multiple alts if need be.

There are no restrictions on this compared to even the shady traditional art markets. It just baffles me why newbies are looking to invest in them given that they are so obviously illiquid and can get rugpulled at any time.
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Simple Question - Where/What are the Discord/Telegram groups pushing low alts? on: December 12, 2021, 09:34:40 AM
Oh, you can find plenty of them.

But the problem is whether or not they actually give accurate signals. And then answer is rarely yes.

Most of these groups are just run by admins who have glorified pump and dump schemes. If you join you will simply become one of the people who get dumped on, which is not necessarily pleasant if you ask me.
318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Squid Game scam creators buy $125M worth of SHIB turning into Shiba Inu whales on: December 12, 2021, 02:44:36 AM
This is utterly ridiculous.

But this could also be the ultimate karma given that they are investing in another worthless token that is primed to dump.

Hopefully the authorities do track them down and punish them for this. Because what they did to their investors is definitely illegal even though proper DD was not carried out from the investor's part.
319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Unknown Tokens on my wallet? Growing.fi on: December 12, 2021, 12:03:31 AM
There are plenty of fake/phishing tokens out there now. Be very aware.

I would suggest that you definitely don't take the chance. There is no free lunch and certainly no airdrop is going to be worth $500k.

Never connect your wallet to an app that you are not familiar with just because you want to access airdropped rewards.
320  Economy / Gambling / Re: Comparison between bitsler and stake on: December 11, 2021, 11:17:53 PM
I'm not sure what your personal vendetta against Bitsler is?

Stake is a great casino, don't get me wrong. But i've played on Bitsler as well and their community is great, and support is always quite prompt. They are equals on my books.

Stake also has their fair share of issues, and I feel like that you're avoiding that.
