301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [FZ] Frozen | CPU and GPU | NoPremine | Rare | Fast Transactions | Wallet Update on: January 01, 2014, 05:20:49 PM
Upgraded to the new wallet version without problems, is this the final logo for now or isn't it decided yet?

WALLET UPDATE:

We apologize for the lack of a wallet. We didn't intend for the qt source to be placed on the git as it is clearly unfinished. But in the rush to get the source out, it slipped by.

We now have the wallet un-doged and corrected. The source has been committed.

If there is anyone out there who can assist with compiling the Windows and OS X wallets, it would be of tremendous help!

Finally, thank you!

Windows Compiled wallet here, sick of the stupid doge text;

Code:
https://mega.co.nz/#!PxYCwJID!TRArtmQi4vrHkH7pe7SIo3pKE-lHoqbMkhL2ymLUlfE

Compiled it in mere seconds and juuust finished the upload, eh? Stop promoting your infested 180kb wallet already.

1599 blocks where mined at diff = 1 BEFORE the actual launch  Roll Eyes

http://moonchain.info/chain/Mooncoin?count=500

they took this down, do you have a screenshot as proof?

PM me with it if you will as it will get lost in this friggin thread.

sorry, I was wrong, the first true block was actually mined at 18:12:14 UTC that's 12:14 after the official launch.

BUT while some few fellas were able to mine the hell out of this coin in the very first minutes, everybody else were struggling with non-working pools (no active demons) or the under heavy load multipool.

So, am I correct in stating that it was indeed not premined but just very poorly launched?
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [FZ] Frozen | CPU and GPU | No-Premine | Rare | Fast Transactions | Easy To Mine on: December 30, 2013, 09:05:48 PM
Looking forward to seeing the new developments in the coming weeks.

So do I. At first I was thinking about dumping this coin as soon as it hits an exchange, but as the community isn't overly hyping it and isn't raging against it, this coin might very well establish as one of the smaller, yet not shady altcoins.

What is still needed, tho, to keep this status quo, is to make this coin more popular. Quark has suffered from being "instamined" (some even saying premined, but I am not informed well enough to claim this) and frozen might go a similar way:
As soon as the third halving or so is done people will complain about this coin only rewarding early adopters, which might dirten the decent image this coin has right now.

So: Spread the word, promote this coin, get more people to mining (to the dumpers: this is profitable for you as well if making quick profit is all you need as this means quicker adaption to exchanges and higher interest in buying them).

https://mooncoin.bit34.com/ just went 404 on me, still got a big batch lying around there due to lack of a wallet, any information on that?
308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [FZ] Frozen | CPU and GPU | No-Premine | Rare | Fast Transactions | Easy To Mine on: December 30, 2013, 01:18:35 AM
How can I adjust this smelter miner's settings? How do I tell if it is using all of my GPUs? I am getting around 4.5mh/s on 3x7950. What hash rate does a single 7950 generally achieve with this coin?

You may be better off getting these questions answered in the original smelter topic

Yes, it work. Tks.

frozen.conf !!!

If you have problems to sync your wallet please try this:

1. close your wallet / shutdown frozend
2. add the additional nodes below in your frozen.conf
3. restart wallet / frozend

addnode=fz.mine-pool.net
addnode=fz2.mine-pool.net
addnode=144.76.91.109

Does it help?

Regarding that @Block_Erupter: Could you update your initial post and replace the "frozencoin.conf" which is in the first line of the configuration data with "frozen.conf" as this seems to be the main problem regarding synchronisation atm.

While you are at it: Could you remove the quotes at places where it makes sense to? A fully quoted initial post looks kind of strange tbh.
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [FZ] Frozen | CPU and GPU Mining | No-Premine | Rare on: December 20, 2013, 01:12:01 AM
When might we expect this on Cryptsy? Has it been put on Coinmarketcap yet

Idk to be honest still waiting for a email back. Nope because no exchange site has picked it up yet.

Nxt has an exchange for itself and isnt on anything major and Doge coin was listed for 3 days before it was listed on Cryptsy.  Undecided

Btw, what is the estimated price for 1 Frozen? I would like to look into buying a lot.

Nxt is a case for itself and thus not quite comparable to Frozen. Doge is hyped like hell, creating a completly unrealistic bubble that will burst sooner or later, for now it's the biggest pumping that I have ever seen.

Most altcoins need some time to establish themself, Frozen isn't even out for two weeks now and is still quite unknown, on the upside there hasn't been flaming rage against it yet, so we might see it established, given enough time.
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SBC] From Death Comes Life – The Rebirth of StableCoin - URGENT UPDATE on: December 17, 2013, 11:33:32 PM
Nobody mentioning SBC being listed on coinedup.com now, yet?
313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [FZ] Frozen | CPU and GPU Mining | No-Premine | Rare on: December 17, 2013, 10:35:13 PM
Diff has hit over 2500 and rising. Coin price is also rising

Got any reply from cryptsy or coinedup yet? I would like to see what the average person is willing to pay for this coin.
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [FZ] Frozen | CPU and GPU Mining | No-Premine | on: December 16, 2013, 10:19:22 PM
The difficulty has reached really high. Coin might be added soon to a exchange site.

Showing about 1600... Not too bad for being mined for 8 days.

Why would the difficulty dictate making it to an exchange?

We might meet kind of a "flawed" logic here that a high difficulty ^= scarcity. A coin that is hard to produce and has limited supply reaches a higher price than one that doesn't. If your coin isn't made popular by a group of 14-year-old teenage kids (not looking at any coin specifically, of course), then you should at least have the point in theoretical value implied by scarcity, which means that your coin has a potential value and should thus be traded. This isn't necessary for jumping onto an exchange but might turn out as an important factor.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [FZ] Frozen | CPU and GPU Mining | No-Premine | on: December 16, 2013, 06:27:59 PM
Dev, did every block reward is 50fz and never decrease?

Since we have a quark-clone here, the block reward will half at the same number of blocks as quark, i.e. at ~3kk coins.

Edit: @60480 blocks = 3,024,000 coins.

317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbies: 50 Scamcoins for you to avoid on: December 16, 2013, 01:22:41 AM
I don't want to sound like a fanboy defending "his" coin (as can be seen from my post history) but listing Frozen just because it "seems" like a scam doesn't really seem to be a good point at all. Sure, neither you nor I do know whether it won't turn out as one in the end, but could you be a bit more specific in your tendency against them? Simply because it is new and was released at the time with the other dumpcoins doesn't seem to be a good enough criteria for me.
318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [FZ] Frozen | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: December 15, 2013, 08:47:55 PM
and back to no payouts. WTF ive got like 3 m/h. What payout system are you using?

Aside from these issues, it would be better to have more than one pool to rely on. I can't afford to open one, anyone else in for the job?
319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [FZ] Frozen | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: December 15, 2013, 02:19:16 PM
Have to switch pools since my old one stopped working. Suggestions?
Haven't kept up to date on this thread, but if it's darkhosis.nogleg.com:1911 you're talking about, it's working fine now...  wasn't around for 36hrs and it had too many ppl on it and was bumping the file descriptor limit, I guess.

I set up a new one at nogleg.com:1911, they're separate from each other.  First one is in New York second one is in Germany

With you shutting down your p2p-pools, the only open pool left is fz.mine-pool.net, correct?

new logo is nice Grin

It's a bit too flashy for my eyes but still way better than the previous one.
