I can't speak for DNotes, but DNotesEDU will not be doing any giveaways in the foreseeable future. We are always interested to hear proposals for bounties and giveaways. There are a couple of challenges when it comes to giveaways and bounties. Ensuring the program cannot be exploited and ensuring there is enough liquidity and market demand to support it, to name a few. Signature campaigns could be helpful, however it would have to be coupled with other programs to really draw in attention and participation to make it really worthwhile. |

Very good article I have been in crypto long enough to also notice thing like that and also many other scams that often happen in crypto  Because of that, I must say that now I am much more careful now when selecting in which project to invest and who to trust. DNotes is at the moment one of the really few project in which I completely trust  I'm sure that very exciting times are ahead of us I believe that is an industry wide sentiment. A lot of confusion and hype have created an environment where many people have gotten or are getting hurt investing. Many have gotten lucky too and though I'm sure there is money to be made in most investments it takes a great deal of knowledge and trading skill, fighting against professional traders. Finding a project that you can trust, has a great plan and knows where they are heading, is likely the best investment option for anyone looking to invest in cryptocurrency. |

Well done Brandon, the issue is still widespread and rampant in the industry. It is far too easy to just launch a project and create a bunch of fake hype. Well-meaning supporters urge us into competing on the same level, but it's just not congruent with our vision for DNotes. Yep, they want not only a legal opinion regarding the US securities laws, but also "legal opinion letter from a Maltese law firm confirming that the token is a Virtual Financial Asset (VFA) and not a financial instrument". Which at the surface level seems a bit confusing, because if it's not a financial instrument nor a security, then what is it. I'm no lawyer though, so there may be a more nuanced answer for these questions. Many of our top picks, including: Bittrex, Binance, Kucoin, Poloniex, Kraken, all ask for a US securities legal opinion. We are working on it and so far the discussion with legal seems pretty positive, but we have to wait and see. A couple of other options could be: Bibox, Upbit, Digifinex, Gate.io, Lbank, and as you suggested LAToken. Many of those do not ask for a legal opinion, have decent volume for a variety of coins, and at least a good deal of traffic. It looks like a lot of people and organizations are having difficulty trying to interpret the security regulations of their own countries, never mind how regulations from foreign countries may affect them. We are looking for exchanges that have volume in more than just a handful of markets, ones with real and verifiable people behind them and real company information, and not only volume but web traffic as well. A good example would be Liquid exchange, which I have just recently identified as a good candidate for our list. They have decent volume, corresponding web traffic, and it is easy to find the people who run the exchange and information about them. Not that these are strict guidelines, but helpful in determining which ones to work with. Also, any effort to request DNotes at these exchanges would show community support, which is often one of the factors that is important to the exchanges. I know our community has supported us significantly before, and a major factor for getting us listed on exchanges like PoloniEx, Cryptsy, Mintpal, and CryptoRush. These were significant exchanges at the time and DNotes was in the millions of daily volume, it is very unfortunate that they are mostly no longer around, with the exception of PoloniEx, and I think CryptoRush may have made an effort to re-launch. We are now limited in volume comparatively and I believe most of that is related to our exchange presence. I did recently receive word that BlockBid is progressing, slower than anticipated as is usually the case with any project, but I expect we could be listed there soon. |

Thanks Amadeus, There are certainly some great points, the ones I noted from this article are: no accountability, no intrinsic value. Which leads to some questions. Why are they going to be worth more in day, a month, a year from now. Who is taking responsibility for the raised money and for spending it as promised. How do we ensure the people are who they say they are. We have taken the path that is conducive to long term success and sustainability. |
