301  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Good time to get into crypto? on: October 19, 2017, 11:52:22 AM
I was mining bitcoin back in 2011 but lost my wallet/gave up etc etc...

Is it still worthwhile getting back into crypto?

I think it is. Why not try? Remember giving up is always worst choice you can make. I had break from crypto too, I sold all my coins (NAV and few others) back in 2016 and realised in 2017 NAV was 2$. Mining will be hard but possible if you have money to invest in good mining ring. I have a friend with 7X 1080 Nvidia's and he is making profit in Poland for sure using wwww.nicehash.com

I have 2X Radeon's 270X and I mine only crypto only few hours a day, my work commitments (mixed shift patterns) not allow me to run miner 24h. It's a couple of dollars only for 2 weeks mining.

On the other side investing in ICO's or coins is the way to go. Bitcoin is slowly rising too.. Price predictions are 7500 then 10.000 I know it sounds crazy but last time I heard that about 2000$ price. I personally invested small amount of my monthly  income in few ICO's - and I will keep them for long term and I might get rewarded one day. Stick to rules not invest amount you can not afford to lose and you should be just fine.
302  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Paper Wallet security versus Printer memory on: October 19, 2017, 05:26:18 AM
Hi,
If I print a paper wallet with one of the available offline applications to do so, since most printers nowadays have an internal memory, isn-t this a security risk if that same printer is again used in the same Pc ?
How does one erase a printes memory for good ?

Clear printer memory with CMD. Disconnect your computer from network, no LAN/WiFi, print using your software paper wallet then clear printer internal memory from Command Prompt (CMD)
1. Open CMD from start menu by typing "cmd" or Win+R / cmd
2. Type: net stop spooler <Press enter>
3. Printer spooler momory should be clear now.
4. Power Off/On printer

You can also use more secure environment like TAILS, boot OS from USB/CD and use Linux software to manage Bitcoins.

303  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to choose good coin!? on: October 18, 2017, 11:11:26 PM
Everyone says trading is easy, you have to pickup a good coin and then invest your money there..Will you guys, please tell me how I know it is a good coin or bad? What certain things I should check about that coin? What types of information helps me to know the coin is good?

Once you find a project that you are interested go and check BitcoinTalk thread, it's a good indicator how many other users are interested in it and what they have to say about it, reading comments can give you some valuable information too. Always go to their website and read all available information, white paper and road map. If you have any questions don't hesitate and contact support staff, don't be shy - good project will reply to you always, and should answer all of your questions. This can be done via email, Facebook messenger or Telegram. Good team must have at least couple of good devs, I know only one coin that is successful now (after 3 years) and start with only one dev. Once your coin is listed on Coinmarketcap you can check where you can buy coins/tokens and on which exchange. Total coin supply is one of most important factors that will indicate future price. Keep this in mind. You can always check historical data on coinmarketcap > tools.
<100 millions - Ideal
<200 millions - Very good
<400 millions - Good
<800 milions - OK
above 1 Bilion - you must stack a lot of coins to gain good profit in future. Price will grow slower.
It easy to predict that coins from Top 25 are far more stable, and safer to invest than some projects above 100. More exchanges coin/token is listed wider exposure for investors keep this in mind. 24h volume shows you if exchange A is better to use than B - higher is better. Visit YouTube and check what other users say, there may be only one review, maybe is more. Read comments and check views counter. Once you chose project you like - join their community and stay active, ask if you have questions and try to read what other users say. Coinmarketcap charts can be helpfull if you ready to buy to choice right moment. Generally when Bitcoin price rise other crypto is down, this may be good time to buy. You should have diversity in your portfolio, in case something goes wrong with one of your investment. Be patient, dont let emotions take over. Invest small first, amount you can lose, once you see is the right choice try accumulate on dips. Make sure coins are safe in wallet, don't leave them on exchange and use strong password. Have encrypted backup of your wallets, keys and passwords. VeraCrypt is good choice.

304  Other / Off-topic / Re: Android vs Window phones ....... on: October 18, 2017, 10:16:37 PM
Windows mobile phone platform lost the battle with Android and Apple, and at some point will cease support in future that's a fact. Joe Belfiore Microsoft Vice President did admit that recently on Tweeter. If you want better support and easy to customise UI, far more applications and much bigger choice of mobile manufacturers go with Android. Microsoft has very limited mobiles phone offer on the market and will slowly disappear like mp3 player ZUNE, they can't compete with tech giants like Apple and Google. I personally have Apple iPhone bur my next mobile phone will be Samsung Galaxy Note. So I will advise you to go for Android - better choice, less expensive, AMOLED screen, headphone jack (its a big deal for me and I am sure for many others too), some android phones have easily replaceable batteries, MicroSD slot and generally offer everything that competitors from M$ and Apple have.

Against Microsoft - can't compete anymore with IOS and Android. It's a niche platform now.

Against Apple - each new IOS updates slows down your phone (my iPhone 6s+ is stuttering now) phones are too expensive, iPhone X repair parts are super expensive (back glass more expensive than the front screen!), lack of basic features like earphone jack, microSD port and good charging cable that can last few years.

Against Android - so many models and configurations make difficult to create apps for DEVS. User must carefully choice apps from Google store (malware)

305  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you deal with loss? on: October 18, 2017, 07:23:17 PM
So in trading how do you deal with loss? For example you've invested in an alt and now it has fallen quite hard and you're on the brink of losing all your bitcoin you invested in it.
How do you actually deal with it? Do you wait and keep on waiting in hope that it will bounce back up and return your investment or you sell and get whatever left of your investment?

I invested in a couple of ICO's recently and one of them is right now 50% below initial coin offering price, due to impatience of investors. We all want our crypto price to rise, and sometimes this is a long process and takes a long time. I don't think about selling my ICO just because it brings loss right now. As long as the team is doing their job, keep each promise, delivers updates on time so you can see progress is being made there is nothing to worry about when it comes to price - it's just the beginning. I must admit choosing right ICO is very hard and require skills to follow, experience, patience and a lot of research, and deep understanding what you are doing.
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] MONETHA - Decentralised reputation with built-in payments on: October 18, 2017, 03:46:26 AM
my 90k is now around 23k. i really dont want to look at my blockfolio right now =(

monetha have to accept that they made big mistakes.
i hope this was a lesson for them and will make less mistakes now.
I wonder what the next exchange is
Monetha.io Can you tell us if the bittrex negotiation is positive or negative ?

that is a lot of money... at least for me it is...
more important that the amount,  is the % of your portfolio that is in Monetha, i have 6% of my portfolio in monetha and that is high... never good to invest more than 5% of portfolio in an ICO/New project and certainly more than 10% is cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs level crazyness... so i hope that you have at least over a million $ in cryptos mostly BTC... that way you won't be freaking out with Monetha progress or lack thereof

dont worry ,etherdelta is not official exchange ,Price will go up once mth is listed on major exchange ,bittrex example.

Don't worry your are not alone with second thoughts, for me this is the first time I decided to wait now until price back to normal level
like close to ICO. I started buying MTH where was 0.3$ all the way down to 0.1 but now I thinking is too risky to spend more FIAT is this project, maybe when it drops to lowest possible price 0.03 - 0.01 then yes!. I think SONM is far more mature right now. MTH/SNM have similar price, the difference is SONM is over 12 months of developing ahead. Think about it before you buy.
307  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do some government ban bitcoin? on: October 18, 2017, 12:46:18 AM
GOV fear about everything they can't control, let's face it, Bitcoin is very hard to control, you can't put TAX on it, and like some users say it's used for money laundering, criminal activity and terrorist support, not to mention buy illegal thing on darknet. I personally think this is not completely true, BTC is not anonymous currency, all transaction's are saved in Blockchain so definitely other crypto is far better and more anonymous/secure than BTC for criminals.

does it finish? already. but the web always show 4 minutes 42 second to crowdsale end

Vibrate ICO finish long time ago. You can always buy VIB Tokens on Livecoin and Etherdelta exchange. Not to mention the price is very attractive 0.13$, I accumulated this Token in the price range between 0.11$-0.13$ and will buy some more soon.

310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This time is for real. China has indeed banned bitcoin trading. on: October 16, 2017, 08:37:26 PM
I think China want Bitcoin to be traded "over the counter" (not officially) The manipulated price recently, and I think BTC was to big competitor to Yen so they downgraded and press exchange owners to close down. Let's wait and see only time will tell. This time bitcoin price is not affected and rising a little and thats a good sign we can stay on 5000$ price without China.
311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are so many people against bitcoin? on: October 16, 2017, 07:39:36 PM
I think they who against bitcoin just tell a lie. Look the case of JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon, He said the bad thing about Bitcoin. But the truth is that he invested Bitcoin after the price down to get profit. He's just a scammer.  Angry

No only that, JP Morgan is hypocritical too. It's not a "secret" JP Morgan has been testing Blockchain technology in their banks to transfer money between Tokyo and London for example with 2000 clients to see how it Blockchain will wore/perform.

Banks are very affraid of BitCoin and I know one trader that swears for his life if BTC grows too big Banks will do everything in their power to destroy it, but once Pandora Box is opened is too late that's my answer.

Some people can be against Bitcoin because of stereotypes, little knowledge about how it works and biggest amount against will be a group of people that never heard about it - lack of trust and confidence. Tech savvy people understand that bitcoin is a future already and that why we taking part of this journey together.

312  Economy / Speculation / Re: Selling Bitcoin on: October 16, 2017, 07:25:41 PM
That's true, even deep inside your heart you know BTC will "recover" and the price will rise someday your patients can't sometimes wait long enough. I learn "weak hands" lesson the hard way, having some altcoin for so long since 2014 till December 2016 I stupidly decided to sell, I remember bitcoin price was down too, from 1000$ to 200-300 then 400-600$ Recovering. I just decided to not wait anymore and that was my biggest mistake ever... Why? Because I didn't need to sell my 80.000 coins, there was no reason like I must do it I just get bored!and in 2017 not only Bitcoin had risen dramatically, my NAV hit  2$ mark at some point.
Only good thing was   I used PC to mine this crypto for free (didn't pay for electricity)

I will say if you put 100$ and sell because the price is down you have a lot to learn. It's so tiny investment not even "a dot in the book" you should not worry at all, but if you put 10.000$ for example then things can get messy in your head and without experience in long-term investment, you may actually sell quicker than you think. Huh.

A trader friend told me you will never learn if you not lose first or sell when the price is down and you can't stand the pressure
and sell with loss your hard earned money.
313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SONM: Supercomputer Organized by Network Mining on: October 16, 2017, 05:50:30 PM
Very interesting project with huge potencial.100% legit
I predict in 2018 the price of sonm will rise, stay impatient bro  Smiley

One day SONM will rise, once their product is ready price will follow. Why? A lot invested in ICO hold their Tokens now , SONM it's not like some other ICO's that are dumped quickly on exchange after release. I regret I found this gem just now few weeks back. I invested a lot in different project and now I can't sell - price is below I paid so I had to wait and accumulate snm on dips. I hope SONM will beat GOLEM to death.
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Kyber ICO on: October 16, 2017, 05:05:25 PM
The rate of kyber is still doing about 4x from the price at the time of ICO. I could not buy at that time and want to get my hands on this one. However not sure what price I should buy it at, maybe now most of the weak hands have already sold it and i should buy now, or maybe wait another week. Any advice?

This is not advice but I sold smal part of my ico tokens and I think I will keep most of them for a long while.

I also bought some of them and will hold them for a long time. I thing project is good and with good potential.

I can't see a point why sell KNC now? if you have to do it? then yes, otherwise hold is best option. Now is good price to accumulate more when BTC is on rise and all alts go down a bit.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] MONETHA - Decentralised reputation with built-in payments on: October 16, 2017, 03:20:26 PM
I really don't get it why you are trying to spread FUD since WEEKS about MTH @AdventureCoin.
If you don't like the project and you don't believe in it, then why can't you just let it alone?
What is the matter with you? Why do you have so much interrest in writing bad stuff about Monetha?
It's one thing to leave a few comments, but to come back every other day since several weeks just to complain about the project??? Seems like you are working for a simillar project and want to damage this one...

I think he likes to to write a lot negative things about Monetha, but there is no proof just his thoughts. Facts are simple: Monetha team keep every signle promise so far - and community is great except few FUDDers.

rudystyle every garbage company is not APPLE. There is only one APPLE and thousands of wannabes

I was APPLE Fan boy for over 10 years, I know what Apple really is. Since is new CEO and Steve Jobs is gone there is big shift in company towards share holders (maximise profit not to mention always was but now is crazy) and last iphone X is a beauty example how really greedy Apple is... Do you know that back glass is more expensive than front LCD panel? I bet you don't. In last few years once they became TRENDY and very FASHION to own, they systematically cut cut cut, to that level you can buy cheapest MacBook Pro 15" touch bar in UK for 2349£ !!!! or abandon this crazy company once for good and get Windows 10 for half price, I am sold to MSI Ghost Pro - aluminium, hdmi out, 8gb ram, nice CPU (better than apple) and GPU NVidia 970m that now after 1 years is still more powerfull than apple flagship laptop and is less than  HALF PRICE!!! - 1099£ I paid. I could give you many examples but is pointless, what I mean before is even APPLE was at the BEGGINIG poor small company and fail few times before they do it right.
319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] MONETHA - Decentralised reputation with built-in payments on: October 16, 2017, 04:22:42 AM
CrytpoGod27 APPLE was garbage company too at the beginning... until Jobs start making big changes even controversial yet very effective. You can't judge Monetha TEAM after a couple of weeks and If you do I wish you good luck with investing in crypto that way. If you do so quickly I bet you don't have SONM on your list because this project is only for someone that has a lot of patience! So far they did a LOT, and didn't disappoint us so far ever this ride is bumpy, they could just run away with ICO money and hide, and what they do is the complete opposite, posting regularly weekly updated, attend for Blockchain related events and trying to expand to more exchanges. Remember to criticize is always easy, but instead why not try to do some good things in this community by yourself?
